Thanks ClareValleyCaching for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10669 on 2/11/2024 at 10:48AMA plan was hatched to ride along the Riesling Trail and collect a few caches. A delightful day in the company of Cheezel and Jolly riding along and signing logs. This is a special place, very enjoyable. We also collected some others that were nearby or along the way.
Today I left home reasonably early, with my bike on the ute, to meet up with Chezle and OZGrumpy in Riverton. We left my ute in Riverton, threw my bike on Chezles chariot and headed to Clare.A big day on our bikes riding both The Riesling Trail and The Rattler Trail to find caches while enjoying some country fresh air, a bit of sunshine, get some exercise and find a couple of DNFs of mine from a previous visit. All up a fun day, even if Im going to be a bit saddle sore tomorrow TFTC ClareValleyCachingKeep smiling
Found at 10:52 AM in the company of The Morris.A wonderful clear and sunny day to do this series. Thanks to ClareValleyCaching
We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Blyth where we will camp for a few days.Today we jumped on the bikes to do bits of the bike trails. Sadly we lost Mr Morris along the way when his bike suffered a catastrophic failure. Thanks for the trail ClareValleyCaching
Its time for lunch, last cache on the trail before ducking into seven hill bakery for a bite to eat. As Easter approaches with plans to head to Capital GeoBash in Canberra - I am striving towards a very unachievable milestone. As such at every opportunity, Im am tackling powertrails or cache clusters. Currently staying in Adelaide, but had a free day up my sleeve and a babysitter available in Clare - I saw and opportunity & took it. I hired an e-bike from Reisling Trail Bike Hire who were fabulous to work with. The e-bike made easy work of the hills as I travelled along the trail collecting smileys. Additionally, today is the day I achieve my longest streak (albeit short one) & Im hoping to continue it until Easter. Thanks for the cache and maintenance.
Over the least few days we have chosen to walk various parts of the Riesling/Rattler trails grabbing any caches we could find as we passed by. Many thanks for the hide ClareValleyCaching
I was in Clare for a few days primarily to finally complete the Riesling Trail. I'd done some by walking but this trip was to clean it up.Who knew it was that hilly on the trail (I do now). Took me about 5 hours on a hot day before I gave up and went back to the caravan park for a rest.I finished what I set out to do later in the afternoon with a bit of walking. TFTC
In Clare for the long weekend with a bunch of friends for some gravel riding. Superb weather for great riding with beaut friends.Out for a few caches while Im hereTFTC
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.With magnificent weather forecast we were up early this morning for a 5+ km hike in the Spring Gully National Park. We were hoping to beat the heat AND the flies. great walk, really enjoyed the wildflowers, and only a few flies!Mrs Felix had a rest at her computer after lunch, whilst Mr Felix tackled some newer caches by bike on the riesling trail which we first tackled back in 2014. Once together again, we headed off in the geocruiser to tackle a few more caches to get away from the constant construction noise in the caravan park. TFTC cvc
Took the mobility scooter for a run today after it’s been laying idle for a while. Done between Sevenhill and Clare and the caches found were in good condition, unless mentioned in the log. TFTC
On our way back from Clare to Auburn today on the Reisling Trail. Weather much better today thank goodness.
Walking from Clare to Sevenhills and return, along the Riesling Trail. Log was damp and quite full, but I found an empty space. Tftc
Great find for kids close to playground. Although in the Riesling trail it’s accessible via a path opening from the playground
Very wet inside. Dried it out and replaced the bag but the bottom of the container is cracked. TFTC.
**logging late as I only just upgraded to premium**

A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]
We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops.
A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited.
Thanks for the cache Clare valley Caching.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC
glad we had electric bikes for this trail.
The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.
Thanks to ClareValleyCaching from mogni

Day twelve of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
A mild day in Clare. We unloaded the deadly treadlies and hit the bike trails riding south to Penwortham. Then back to Clare for a few caches, some lunch, then back to base.
A platform at last! Starting to think this rail line didn't have any stops!
Thanks, Robmc.

#19154. Day 12. of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. After a clear cold night it was looking good for another day spent on the Riesling Trail between the Showgrounds and Penwortham then back to the Gleeson Wetlands. We gathered up some more around town after lunch betore heading back to our Caravan Park. A most enjoyable riding day.
Very nice to see the station sign and some nice white picnic tables here. Made the find and continued on our way.
Thanks ClareValleyCaching

Visiting Clare for the JLWE "Clare Caching Carnival" 20th Anniversary year. I arrived Friday & stayed until Monday. It was great to catch up with everyone again & enjoyed the planned activities & events.
Teamed up with LiB for Game day. We called ourselves "Hibbies". After placing our game day caches we set about collecting others in the area. This was one of them. It is interesting looking at the old platforms that are a part of the local history.

Parked up at Sevenhill and made our way along the trail down to water vale for lunch finding all the caches along the way, beautiful trail and quite easy to ride along dodgy the muggles, all but one cache found that we stopped at.
Off to Clare for an overnight trip mainly focusing on getting the bikes out for a spin and hitting the rail trails for some adventure and indulging in the local wine culture, whilst finding some caches along the way. A lovely weekend away dodging the weather. Total of 91 finds for the 2 days.
Thanks for the cache

Fifth day in SA and The Riesling Trail was high on the list along with a few other random caches. Hope to tick all boxes before heading to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
Found while visiting nearby playground with 4 first-time junior cachers! TFTH!

TFTC SL TNLN The old Sevenhill station. Was around when trains actually ran on this line. Found your cache today while exploring the Sevenhill area. Thanks for bringing us here.
We are doing some caches with Territorian Peerages around the district before he leaves to return home.
It was an interesting day. Thanks for the caches

Sevenhill. A great drop or six and suppliers of communion wine to the masses !
Also met a nice cat here once, but that was last, umm, century
A lovely day for a cache or two... who am I kidding, every day is a good day for a cache!
And to top it off some excellent walking company in Mrs Froghoppin to show me the local sights.
Always enjoy a riesling, and today was no exception! Almost all the caches were where we expected them. One was hiding just a bit too well... but I'll be back for that one
Sunshine, flowers, bugs and birdlife all distracted us on our walk - and of course we found a nice cemetery to investigate along the way too. Didn't blink... yet
Thanks for putting these out there cvc

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!

Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

After scoring a FTF at Koolunga headed to Clare to get some more done of the railtrail caches. Managed to finish the N.E.series but at sunset was still 13 short of finishing the RT series.
Thanks to cvc for putting out this cache for me to find

Came to Seven Hill today to revisit the new nature playspace. Why don't we call these playgrounds?
Took a short walk after playing to find a few caches - five, in fact. This was the first. A quick find, but well hidden! TFTC cvc.

This weekend, jesswrigley and I headed to the Clare Valley for a bit of wine tasting and cycling the Riesling Trail. We were treated to great sunny weather, and nice to have been visiting the wine region.
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with a geocaching event breakfast and a few geocaches around the town of Clare. We then proceeded south riding our bikes along the Riesling Trail. We made a few uphill detours either side of the valley to *Pallet Wines* and *Jeanneret Wines and Clare Valley Brewing Co* respectively, which certainly tired us out. A final stop at *Tim Adams Wines*, before completing the northern section of the Riesling Trail towards Barinia.
Another geocache find along the Riesling Trail today. We managed to find this replaced cache reasonably quickly, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Clare Valley Cachers (cvc) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.
