We had hoped to find this one having solved the puzzle, but its been a year since the last find, multiple DNFs and no CO response.

rio is back and we are heading to the sunnyshine for a day of play and puzzles[?]Twisted[xx(]Big GrinRazz[:X][8)][^][B)][:o)]Red Face[?]

sadly looks like the onlookers may have found this

one returning cacher knew what and where so would seem this may need a co check please

TGIF and a day out on the Sunshine Coast with bb is just what the doctor ordered Big Grin

This was a last minute addition to the cache list today and it wasn't until we got to GZ that we realised there had been so many DNFs. bb and I had no luck spotting the cache either. It would be lovely if you could do a check on it Bones74 Smile

Time for a Wacky Wednesday with teamdfl [^]

Ahhhhhh, noooo! Anther DNF. I climbed, but couldn't see anything Sad

25-Sep-16
I see it has been a while since a find or CO check, any chance of a quick look to see if it's still in place??

22-May-16
I had solved this puzzle a couple of months ago, but had not been in the area since then to search for it. Today, I was nearby with another cacher, so we made our way here. We both climbed up but were unable to find the cache Sad Due to the recent DNFs, could the CO please check if the cache is still here. Thanks

Great disappointment not finding this one. Solved the puzzle with the help of my Grandaughter, but with my two Grandsons could not find the cache after two visits to the site. Firstly thought of the seat and four people sat down asked whether we were geocachers as they had seen them their before, the second time we were asked if we were trying to catch birds. Alas this was not to be found, but thanks for the puzzle. Best wishes from the UK

28-Mar-16
Had a photo of it from 29/2 but didn't have my climber. Today we had our climber but the cache is gone.

18-Mar-16
My second puzzle solved. I am beginning to like these. DNF though in spite of the hints and a procession of muggles on some sort of fun run.

11-Mar-16
Parked and looked oh no not another !!! Walked over and started looking with both tables occupied I walked away. One lot left after 5 min wait so I went back for a second reccy- Spied it Smile. So after talking about geocaching to the oldies on the other seat I pointed it out to them and said " I have to get to that one " so they were my Safety backup crew and a couple of minutes later I Signed the logsheet 11/03/2016 11:00 am and replaced all as found.

We had been to this one previously and found a line but no cache. Decided whilst in the area again today to walk down and have a go. Had a little climb in the tree and spotted it. There was no way I was going to get THAT high up. Tried and tried but in the djmccullagh had to grab this one Very Happy

In the area again and noticed that this one was back up and running.

After a few short (10 minutes of searching), Gmccul pointed out where the treasure was. Seems I wasn't anywhere near high enough.

A bigger scramble up and success.

Signed and returned.

Having attended the nearby event today we teamed up with Fangsoki for some caching. The puzzle had been solved a while ago and finding the final definitely involved teamwork. Although only one of us retrieved the cache the ground level spotters guided him to it. Not one for the faint hearted! TFTC.

Another puzzle I managed to solve last night. It was something I recognised immediately from my High School days Smile

Team Herbz and I arrived at GZ. Thankfully no one was about. We did not spot for the longest while until the eagle-eyed Mrs Herbz spotted it and Mr Herbz did the honours. Hmm. I would have personally given this one a higher terrain rating - but that's just my personal opinion.

Nevertheless, it was a lovely area to visit - and a good puzzle.

We were a happy mob to be able to grab this one. TFTC Bones74 Smile

It's time for a play day with Nurseyjulie and Brother Colin Big Grin And seeing as we all live in different areas of Brisbane, and have about 19,000 finds between us, we had to head up to Caloundra so there was enough caches for us all to find Razz

I was keen to have another go at this one, but there were muggles actually sitting in the tree Sad

09-Jan-16
The boys climbed high but only came up with fishing line. A popular tree which could easily lead to muggling.

07-Jan-16
Back in action

Muggled again. ...will be back in action within a couple of days

02-Jan-16
all i got was line. not even a swivel.

So disappointed, had to drive away empty handed. This place is muggle central, they were enjoying the view right under GZ. Might com e back on a cold windy winters day.

10-Dec-15
So staying Caloundra for the night, I figured I may just grab a couple of caches around the hotel. That did not work out so great, because of to many people around. However I had taken a quick look at this puzzle this morning, and thought to take a little look.

Once solved I cannot believe I actually stood almost underneath this cache yesterday afternoon to take a photo. Anyway took me a few minutes up there to find what I was after, but it was found and the new replacement log signed.

After solving went for the smiley.

Found some tied up fishing wire but nothing attached.

Then realised the recent DNF.

Believe this one requires maintenance.

Out for a Freaky Friday with Dutchie1950 Big Grin and we are heading to Landsborough and Caloundra.

Another fun puzzle to solve, and I'm beginning to think the CO likes trees???? It's in a lovely area, and the breeze here was glorious. We did a bit of searching from the ground at first but couldn't see the container, so I decided to head up and see what I could see. Lots of searching all over and eventually I came across some fishing wire that looked suspicious, but no container... mmmm, time for a PAF, and he confirmed what we had found was right, so it would seem that this one might be missing. No smilie today Sad

Just home from the Mega in Christchurch and off I go on a Freaky Friday outing with IolantheK. No rest for the wicked!

Our target area was Caloundra and Landsborough.

IolantheK has told her story already, so no use for me to repeat. Indeed our first DNF today, because what is there to sign if there is no logbook? Wink

Puzzle did not take too long to solve and was able to locate GZ.

Got there today with Geowife and we started the hunt, first down low, then higher, then higher. After taking a broader view we spotted the cache and set about the ascent.

Found with my geo-bros and mcgurl. Was a fun puzzle to solve and a great cache location. Thanks for the cache bones74

21-Aug-15
My brother Mr Showcase solved this one and then my nan took us for a walk to the GZ. Great spot and lots of fun getting this cache.

21-Aug-15
I got a little bit of help from the CO to get me started with solving the puzzle then me and my brother and sister went to find it with some help from our nan. I love the location of the cache and had fun getting it. TFTC

Good cache and nice spot:)

Delighted to find this one as last time I came I was using the parking waypoint instead for my search, DOH! Partner went for it and enjoyed getting back to the fun of a climb. TFTC

Well this certainly is an alternative to the usual traditional geocache! I like it when my new cache notifications come in and it goes "Traditional, Traditional, Traditional, Unknown..." , whoo hoo, unknown! I get on the case asap, although I don't have a chance of racing out to get it. This is a cool little puzzle and in an area that I knew well from many holidays in the nearby units.

Today I was chasing down a few off my solved list and it was a beautiful day to be outdoors playing monkey man Cool Thanks for the fun again Bones74, nice spot.

14-Aug-15
Our Friday night, Pizza and a cache.
Solved the puzzle a while ago but would have got the puzzle earlier if not for the terrain.
Waited for geopartner to retrieve this one.
Bit harder in the dark and didn't see it for a start and would not have seen it if not for a little hint. Thanks.
When returning it geopartner dropped it and I heard a ping on the lowest branch. Then it was a mad scramble to find bottom of cache and log and place back to where they belong.
But we did and in the dark.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Bones74 Cool All good with this cache

We logged a DNF on this cache last week so we thought we should try again. We decided to start our daily walk from this spot so we could have another look before heading off. We looked for about 15 minutes and gave up again and headed off on our walk. On the way we decided to send Wesso a message and asked him for a bit of a hint. As usual, he replied promptly.

We quickly headed back to GZ and spotted the cache straight away. I don't know how we missed it twice after searching for close to 30 minutes. Marco quickly retrieved the cache and signed the log. A great place for a cache. We often sit at the table to eat our takeaway on a Friday night. TFTC.

This week-end is a big week-end event up the Sunshine coast. Cool
After a BIG week-end of fun, caching, paddling and catching up. Teamdfl and I are out to find a few more on our way south. Big Grin.
A bit of a search before spotting this one. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

After a great weekend at Dunethin Rock for a couple of events Brother Colin and I were on our way home. We had a list of puzzles to do on the trip and this was slated in for today. I needed to get to the letterbox cache at Pelican Waters for my August challenge and this was not too far out of the way.

I had solved the puzzle last week in preparation for the trip. The puzzle was solved quickly and added to the list to hunt. Big Grin

We found a nice parking spot close to GZ and went to hunt. We checked a few likely spots before looking for a hint. No but some logs helped as well as something else quite useful on the cache page.

Brother Colin changed locations and soon found it. [^]

#9830. We had just enough time to reach this cache on our morning walk. Retrieving caches from hides of this type is my job, so I jumped to it and had a good look around. It tried a few different vantage points, and eventually spotted the wee blighter. TFTC.

Spotted this new puzzle on Thursday, so quickly solved it in anticipation of our trip to the Sunshine Coast as the published co-ords are not far from our accommodation in Caloundra.
The cache wasn't an instant find, but after a bit of perseverance, StreetWalker found it while I was doing some ground surveillance. There was a steady stream of muggles passing us, but no-one seemed at all surprised to see a grown man doing a Tarzan impression. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

31-Jul-15
In the area this afternoon so headed off to check this one out. After parking nearby it was a short stroll to GZ and once the coast was clear it was a quick find.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Marco had solved this one so we had the final co-ordinates. This is one of our favourite places to sit and eat fish and chips on a Friday evening! Once at GZ we had no luck at all in finding the hide.

25-Jul-15
Had this one solved fairly quickly but waited until this morning to go in search. Spotted the cache and wondered how this old guy was going to get to it. Fortunately a very sprightly dad was resting nearby with his 2 offspring. After asking if he knew about geocaching, which he did, I asked for a little assistance in retrieving the log. Thanks Paul, Joshua and Maryanne for coming to my aid. Tftc Bones74

Found @ 1550 hrs

Out and about this arvo with my resident monkey Miss Geo. I enjoyed this little puzzle and it was a nice quick find luckily, with this are being very busy of an arvo or anytime for that matter.

I really hope this one survives as this tree is a popular climbing tree with the local muggle kids.

Find #512: There's an ALTernative to everything on the 23 July 2015

*FTF* Whoohoo!!

Out and about with *SuzySquirrel* and Spinna76.

I did the solving and had some coords about 15 mins after the cache was published but it took as a lot longer to get organised!!!

After a few messages back and forward we got our but into gear.

At 9:10pm we made the find, signed the blank log and gathered nearby to take some photos of the pretty lights on bulcock beach.

Thanks for the cache, puzzle and FTF Bones74!

#1147 Joint *FTF* w/ mtill17 and *SuzySquirrel* @ 9:10 pm ~ Saw this one come through but was watching Cast Away with Tom Hanks so decided to leave it for now. After chatting with mtill17 on messenger it was decided that we should go for a find. Thanks to mtill17 the hard part was completed and I drew the designated driver straw. ~ TFTC Bones74 Smile

#1135 ~ joint *FTF* @ 9:10 pm with spinna76 and mtill17. What more can I say that the other two did not. I love this spot at night. The lights and reflection on the water are magnificent. The crashing of the waves was thunderous, not unlike the waves we had been listening to on Cast Away. TFTC Bones74!
