We went left not right and forward before reversing at the cache! Great spot and on a Saturday afternoon it was very quiet. Thanks for the fun
#235 06/10/2024 @3:48pmLoved the hide and a quiet little spot for a Sunday arvo! TFTC
In Wandong today grabbing a few caches. Luckily it wasn5 during school pick up or drop off so it wasnt busy. Nic3 spot. TFTC
Easy find but it was very wedged in there and difficult to get off without tools unfortunately TFTC
Well we could park any way we wanted to here since there was absolutely no one around on this sunny Sunday afternoon. It wasn't hard to tell where the hide would be and it didn't take long for me to extract the container and sign the log, I really liked the design on this one too. TFTC!!
Stopped here with goingplaces2 for a good quick find. Signed the log and replaced all as found. TFTC.
Added this cache to the list for the day andit was a good find, along with ilook4geo. Log was signed and replaced before we moved on. Arrived not long before a busy time, but managed to be discreet and park the vehicle for visual protection. Thanks for placing a cache here go to carkisser.
Just what I needed on a wet Christmas Day a nice quick drive by.Happy Christmas Thanks carkisser for the cache.
My final cache in Wandong ad of today. I enjoyed the loop walk around the two towns on a sunny and warm Sunday!
I have realised that caching is great physiotherapy and have decided to do plenty of it to help with my recovery from recent injury. Also its great fun isnt it. Anyway I have planned a good sized trip today with plenty of caches, we will just have to see how I hold up.
I really enjoyed this lovely hide, it was fun to find. Im not sure what the institution next door is but there was a steady stream of people coming out and as it was dark I couldnt see them until it was too late. I just hope they didnt notice me either. thanks for the challenge and the fun carkisser and JSando.

Nice quick find. Cache in great condition. We’ve had a massive weekend of caching up in Wangaratta, and we found this one on the way home. Thanks!
Sneaky little hide.
Sweet little church.
Nice little reverse park!
We decided to take a detour on our way home to Rutherglen from Portsea! Yes, it’s a big detour, but isn’t that what geocaching is about?!
Thanks.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to carkisser for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Pretty sure I know where the cache is hiding but the camo is stuck (or I could just be completely wrong ).
On a solo trip east to visit family and friends, and of course to attend the mega at Whittlesea. Fun title! This Cache was found and logged. Cheers for the caches along the way for us to enjoy!
On a visit from interstate to conduct maintenance of some nearby caches picked up this cheeky little cache. Lovely spot. TFTC TNLN SL
Really appreciate the great hide. Gave us something to do while the kids went trick or treating
Found with my grandson LizzardBoy who experienced his first geochaching last weekend. This was a great hide.. LizzaedBoy loved this one and wanted to give it a favourite

On our way back home from Whittlesea on a bleak winter's night. One last trad to top off a beaut day's caching, regardless of the weather .

Found it, once before we looked during school time so we didn’t find it but this time it seemed so obvious
Tried to get as close as possible to gz, and ended up reverse parking to get up close.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, carkisser

OzHockeyChick had to visit Wallan so she swung by my place on the way and we headed up. After stopping in at Wallan, I suggested we continue on to Kilmore to grab a few caches and then we headed home via Wondong.
Reverse parking it said, and reverse parked we did. Although I don’t think you were meant to reverse park right beside the sign in the centre of the car park. But it made for a quick park and grab!
Thanks carkisser for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Day one of the Wangaratta oddessey with AlphaDeltaIndigo and Ying~Yang. Melbourne to Mt Buller, started in the heat, ended in the cold, but still somehow muggy all along the way. We mostly focussed on trands today, with a few multi's here and there.
This was find 3 of 17. TFTC carkisser!

Great hide thought we were defeated but looking at the bigger picture we were able to gain a smiley on this one.
Thank you carkisser for placing and maintaining this cache. I've enjoyed finding it.

No luck for us today. We arrived near GZ to see the GZ area totally fenced off… we could spot exactly where the cache would be (due to the name - reverse parking) but couldn’t access due to the fencing.
We were in Wandong today for a family birthday celebration, and so couldn't miss the opportunity to grab a couple of quick caches.
This was a very quick find, made without arousing the suspicion of the muggle tradesman on the nearby site.

Find number 2 for Bunadoorian and myself this morning. We thought at first we may have been thwarted with temporary fencing up and workers nearby - till we realised we could walk around the fencing. Bunadoorian had the cache in hand. TFTC and the great hide - car kisser and JSando.
There was a few workers near this cache but they were not really interested in us so we had a free go at GZ and soon located the cache. TFTC.
Being a Sunday I thought this was a good time to grab this cache before the kids go back to school tomorrow. Great little hiding spot. TFTC
This was a good one to grab during school holidays. A little persuasion was required for the access but we got there in the end. TFTC

This one has been on RGSBruce's radar for a while as he often finds himself here. Much rarer for me. We've both been suffering cache withdrawal for one reason or another and it's been a while since we found any of the others on Mt Dissa, so this was a bit of a had to find while we were here. Next trip will hopefully to be to work more on the Mt Dissa series and have a hunt for the nearby Letterbox cache, particularly since I have joined the throng of cachers.

So, not having been able to resume the assault on the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series and often sitting in Kemp's Bakery having a coffee while out on a Wednesday ride, pondering how close this cache is, but too far to get to it before the group we were riding with moved on, today Wandong was our last stop before home, so HerIndoorsOutdoors and I made a little detour on our way back to the HoHum Freeway for the trawl home. Sadly, no chance to attack the Driving Lesson further today either, very impractical on two wheels (maybe a mountain bike or a trailie ).
I've got to say GZ was pretty obvious, but did give us second thoughts for a very short while as we attempted to retrieve the cache. No problems replacing exactly as found so the next cacher shouldn't be deprived of any of the fun .
The cache is in good condition.

Quick find once school was out. No one around during isolation which made it easier. Very creative hiding spot. Thanks for making this local one.
Found quickly by sheer luck I think. Thanks for the find in this beautiful town.
Today was planned as another triangular drive into Wandong and back to find whatever caches we felt like. A bit hard to stay on track here actually. The caching was fine and successful, but the town blew me away. It is so pretty, calm and peaceful compared to the general mayhem of the world at the moment. The bakery was a treat too.
The log was signed SG and dated.

Enjoying the last full day in Australia with Mrs. iowaPete. We drove to the area today to find GC7A, and then had several hours with no specific plans. Thank goodness for the Geocaching Live map! We started picking out a cache here and a cache there to chase.
This was an interesting stop for us. The cache page and hint made sense as to where to look, but upon first inspection, it didn't seem that there was a cache here to find. It wasn't until I give "something" a bit of a shake, that I suspected the true location...
Access was "sticky" at first, but I pulled an impromptu TOTT from my pocket and was able to access the tether. Next thing I knew, I was signing the log sheet with a big grin on my face. Replaced as found.
A hide like this will stay clean and dry for a lonnnng time. Nicely done!

Today we decided to stay local as one of our team was in the hospital so we stayed around and kept close to town not knowing what was going to happen so after deciding to get some close cache we made our way and grabbed only 5 cache today.
We made our way and as there was plenty of room today reverse parking was not required we just made our way to the nice quick find at GZ as the name was the biggest clue so with the log signed we went on our way.
Thanks carkisser and JSando for bring us here.

Quick easy find, but still one you need to think about a little. Left a couple little swaps! Thanks for the find!
Creatively done. Day 2 - out and about on our quest to make it to 80 logs. Beautiful area. Beautiful story. TFTC and to carkisser and JSando for placement and to all who help maintain this series for others to enjoy. (Log 24:80)
Found while on the Mt Dissa trail with Day1976, Yeah09, Ilukaperi and Nakarra. Signed as GINDY. IO was pretty tired by this time in the day and could only watch on as Ilukaperi and Day1976 raced for the cache.
Found this one after completing sections of the Mt Dissa series. Signed log as GINDY (Geolibrarian54, Ilukaperi, Nacarra, day1976 & Yeah09). Ilukaperi and I can be quite competitive. Both running to the obvious object she chose one side, whilst I noticed a hint of what might be the cache on the other side. Sprinting my way to the location, she changed tack half way through and laid her had on the cache just before I got there. TFTC!
Ilukaperi and day1976 were too fast for me. They had it in hand before I could even get out of the car. TFTC!
After a long day caching through Mt Disappointment, we stopped to get a few more on the way home. I got to this one before day1976.
Our 2nd for the day with Cybergran V.
This one was for mum with some GA challenge thing but don't tell her I enjoyed it.
We had no idea what to expect at GZ but had a bit of a giggle as we approached especially at some of the dubious parking efforts on display near our destination.
The clever cache was found and returned in good condition with no maintenance required. [8)]
Now it was off to pick up some Parkville Puzzles that mum had worked on tirelessly before they dissapear.

Reverse parking... What a curious name for the cache. What could it be!? There was even a guess that maybe we need to reverse park up to a tree to disguise ourselves, or maybe to climb onto the roof of the car to get the cache
No, it's T1,5 after all.
Had a chuckle when we walked up to GZ. Oh, that's why!
There weren't many options, so the cunning wee hide was quickly discovered. No muggles around.
That is such a sweet thing to do for Margaret, hiding caches close to her, if she is not able to get around much! I hope she is still in good health and living happily!

Out on tour with ivss_xx and loved this open-air hide. Glad Margaret's staying in the game and keeping us parking correctly.

Protected from the devastation of the tree rippers. Nice hide in Wandong. CIGC TNLN TFTC.
The big bulldozer in the ripping up the car park and surrounding trees made this an impossible stop today. Maybe next time I’m driving through.
Out for the day with BettyBoo3747. She was going home, and back to work for me.
We visited Broadford for lunch and some cache.
Read the description last night, and couldn't work out what the title meant.
Rocked up there this morning and spotted it immediately.
Very nice hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

15312 A day of travelling for me - from Melbourne back to Beechworth. That was the plan, just a straightforward drive but Robmc had other plans. With the Carnival Souvenirs Challenge he suggested we go out and visit some caches with "Big" Favourite points. I finally made it home after 5.00pm., but it was a good day. I added 6 smilies and we signed one without realising it has already been archived. Thems the breaks.
A quiet spot today and a lovely old church and trees. Rob made the quick find so we added our names and headed back to the freeway.
Thanks carkisser
