Logs
We have travelled from Sydneys Northern Beaches to Lithgow for a short (four day) caching holiday, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Lithgow Tourist & Van Park. Planning on exploring areas around Hartley, Bowenfels, Marrangaroo, Lithgow, Clarence, Newnes Junction, and Dargan, with a pre-booked visit to the Zig Zag Railway on Saturday morning, and a visit to the Glow Worm Tunnel at Newnes on Sunday.Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, a SideTracked MultiCache, and some of the many Traditional & Multi caches that have appeared since our last visit to the area in 2015. Will be stopping at Mount Victoria and Blackheath, on Mondays return journey to Sydney, for some more previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches and a five stage Adventure Lab, and maybe an EarthCache. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today (day 4) we are on the journey homeward, but stopped off for some caches along the way. After collecting the final GZ cache for a MultiCache we grabbed some Traditionals on a drive out to Mount York, then a few more caches around Mount Victoria, before heading to Blackheath for a five stage Adventure Lab and a visit to the Victory Theatre Antique Centre. After grabbing a bite for lunch we continued homeward, with one final cache stop at Bulls Camp (between Woodford & Linden) to avenge a previous DNF, where the cache had subsequently been confirmed as missing & replaced. This was the 8th of 15 finds for the day (day 4), and 39th find of the holiday. This one was next, as we departed Mount Victoria, driving the geomobile down the rough dirt road to the cemetery and the cache location. Headed into the cemetery and over to GZ for a nice quick find on arrival. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Had a brief stroll around the cemetery before continuing our journey homeward. Quick find before spending the day walking nearby. It's bloody windy! Bear found this one before I could swap my glasses.Cheers
Eighth of eleven finds today OCW Graubunden. Easy find for us. Accurate coordinates. And three mystery DNFs. Lovely wintry day in Mt Victoria, TFTC Joshwa27
Quick stop on the way home from Sydney for stretch of the legs. Cache was located quickly, signed and returned. TFTC.
Find#5705Nice hiding place Took a few minutes to find My first cache in the blue mountains. Thanks for the cache
What a great piece of local history. I went straight to the area but it took a few minutes before I found it. Log signed and returned.Tftc
Found after a bushwalk further up the road.A nice little old cemetery tucked away in here.Once I saw GZ I was worried the cache would be hidden someone I couldn't reach, but that wasn't a problem with this one.SL TFTC
State of the gravel road worsened the closer I got to GZ so elected to walk the last 100m or so. Took a little while to locate cache but blame that more on heat and hunger than a difficult hide.
My geocaching partner found it before I'd barely walked into the cemetery. TFTC.
We also found a cicada shell. H&G

It was a bit cold for the rest of the family to head out this afternoon, so Samuel and I headed out with a handful of caches planned, 'we'll turn around when we run out of light' as we went....
What a nice little pioneer cemetery, it is certainly hidden away too.... an easy find at GZ. The logs are compressing into the container, we scrawled onto the corner of the uppermost scrap... TFTC

After seeing this one on the map earlier, we dropped in here and walked into the tiny little secluded cemetery, Found the cache quite quickly once we got to GZ.

When arriving here today, everything was familiar. I’m certain we made this find a while ago but haven’t log it. Also familiar - some well Known surnames from our area! Great part of the mountains with rich history. TFTC
I didn't even know this cemetary was here despite trekking down to the cave on a number of occasions. Tftc
I thought this was going to be harder as I did it without GPS, however it was somewhat too easy as the cache wasn't camouflaged as I would have expected for its placement.
Have been bushwalking from Mt Vic for years and my Great Great Grandmother is in the cemetery.

This one took us a while, some of the previous logs throwing us off a bit, but eventually we spotted the tricky cache. TFTC!
Our 2nd find with finnmansam. Great little cemetery close to the road. Easy find using the hint.
Found with Chippyddd on Day 3 mission - Blue Mountains NSW caches. Lots of rain today. Hint is very useful for a sneaky hide. No room for SWAPS or drops. Both cache and logbook are dry. SL TFTC TFTH. Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher. Thanks and cache on.
Day 3, No.2 find for the day for our Geo Adventure in the Blue Mountains. A quiet as the grave location with no muggles in the area. The cache was quickly found in good condition by Geo Buddy, Mystic Seer and, with the admin duties conducted, it was replaced in the same location as found. Thanks Joshwa27 for this cache and bringing us to this location.

On a short getaway without the geokids. What a quaint little cemetery. An easy find for Geodad, took me a few minutes longer... TFTC!

Wonderful. First time I’ve used this in app 11 years.
This cemetery is well worth a visit.

Headed to the Blue Mountains for the weekend with the family, and today we decided to get out and find a few nearby caches. We had originally missed finding this one last time we were here, but no sooner had we arrived at GZ did we spot the cache lurking in its hide.

Nice easy find in a great location. I do love looking around old cemeteries and would not have known this was there
Thanks for the cache

Early morning caching on the first day of a four day holiday in the blue mountains. Smoke is still around and most likely will be for a while. We will have to deal with and adjust our program accordingly and respect the restrictions due to the fires around. Hopefully RFS will get on top of it soon.

Found tyftc. Spending a day driving this trail after 3 days of state tennis tourn. Mother nature is just beautiful. Trying to beat a local geo to 1500 finds before dec 31.
Found at the beginning of the two-days trail from Mt. Victoria to Leura crossing Perrys Lookdown Campground. Many thanks! Greetings from Czechia!
Good park and grab. Little hard to actually get to the cache, even though it was easy to see. Tftc!
What a weekend. Staying 2 nights in the wonderful old world Victoria and Albert Guest House and the snow came. Very spectacular. And to top off a wonderful time with 8 friends I managed to walk between snow falls to this cache and at my 3rd attempt over the last few years I found it. Don't know how I missed it those other times.

After walking through the national park to the Asgard mine and lookout, we were having caching withdrawals by the absence of caches on the trail. We were delighted to find a cache on our way back to the main road and what an unexpected place for a cemetery. Cache was an easy find, but geohubster and I spent some time looking through the graves, both old and new. TFTC.
The cemetery is beautiful. I live locally and have never seen it, but it's quiet and eerily peaceful. I'm glad I've seen it. TFTC.
TFTC Joshwa. Amazing what places geocaching takes you to. Driven past here many times not knowing what was hidden just off the highway.
A good quick find in an interesting old cemetery - a bumpy road to a final resting place!
