#18713 - 3:26:00 PM; In Singapore for a couple of days enroute home to the land of Oz from our European adventure. The geohoney decided to have a quiet day today, so I headed out solo on a caching and exploration mission. After collecting a couple of caches within walking distance of the hotel, I jumped a bus closer to the Bay area. Grabbed a trad and some lunch at the nearby emporium before heading over for a nearby virtual, adventure labs and bonus. It was then time to head for Sentosa and the main mission for the day. This one was on the "to do" list from my last visit and it was nice to finally get to the point today and claim the find, so have a fave! Greetings from Australia and TFTC roadwarrior50

**This was 1 of 22 caches that was found by me on the 4th of 5 caching days here in Singapore. Which also was the 36th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
While Ingabo and jsson was out on there own Sivun and I visited Sentosa on the afternoon. Which unfortunately was an bad timing as it started to pour down during our visit. We at least manage to get away from this southernmost point before the thunderstorm started for real.
Any hopes of bathing one more time here in Singapore had to be abandoned because of the thunderstorm. The red flag was namely rised along the beached so no one was allowed to be in the water.
*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 4 nights in Singapore. We did some caching together and some apart.*
*All in all I did manage to find 81 caches. Which at this moment makes me the Swedish cacher that have found 2nd most caches in Singapore .*

Had to try to visit this virtual waypoint during our visit to Sentosa. We didn’t have much time left before we needed to get back to our accommodation, but made a fast walk to the most southernmost point in Asia... even though there is quite obviously more land mass to Sentosa in the island itself? What gives?! Was there land reclamation that now makes this waypoint obsolete? Nevertheless we made the visit here.
Did follow the virtual to GZ but couldn’t find anything at GZ other than old alcoholic vodka bottles and coconuts! ??

A visit to Singapore would not be complete without a visit to Santosa and a visit to Santosa would not be complete without a visit to this old virtual cache.
I took the stroll from the monorail and across the suspension bridge to the location and then looked up at the sky.
The storm hit before I could get back across the bridge and I was drenched by the time I arrived at the nearby tram stop to hitch a ride back to the monorail terminal.

Together with mwst83 and a few TB's (look on the photo, middle!) on Sentosa Island. Nice view. TFTC.
We are in Singapore for a few days' visit. Of course, we will log a lot of caches, but also try to catch up with interesting places. Geocaching usually brings us to these places. This cache was one of those we visited and logged today.

Went to find the other geocache on this island and snapped a picture for this one. It looks like the towers are under maintenance! Thanks roadwarrior50
Today we‘ve explored Sentosa Island. Nice view‘s and a lot of cold drinks. At the end, we find the mostsouthern point of Contintal Asia. TFTC
We're exploring this lovely tourist hotspot today. I'd eyed this cache up for our visit as worth a visit so made sure we came here. We enjoyed the rope bridge and the views. A great location for a virtual and a definite favourite for me. Tftc
We went get into the debate if Sentosa Island is now actually part of mainland Asia or not. That is really moot as the designated point is not even the most Southern point of Sentosa. Great as a tourist attraction though.
We arrived just as a lightning warning was broadcast but we did not get any real storm as it moved north.
Some really cool beaches here. Great foot for a virtual.
No real construction near here. Dome to the far north east. We have posted some pictures.
Thanks for the cache roadwarrior50
The cut and paste bit.
We are on a trip from South Africa to the East. First stop Singapore to visit family with a weekend trip to Batam Island, Indonesia. After that we fly to Brisbane, Australia, drive down to Sydney and then back to Singapore. A week with our children and grandchildren and then back home via a stop over in Dubai.
Thanks to all the COs that made our trip more enjoyable.

Made it here. Didn’t even know this was located here. Thanks for bringing me here.
I'm from Missouri, USA and went to visit my sons who live in Guam. My youngest son planned this trip to visit Hard Rock Cafe here and in Malaysia a few days ago. We took a taxi down to the island to get our Hard Rock memorabilia and with this being such a landmark cache and touristy spot we knew we had to visit. We took the Sentosa Express then took off on foot, always the long way around for me! LOL We finally made our way through the trees and climbed down the rocks to get to this beautiful little spot! Thanks for this virtual cache to bring us to a place we would have otherwise never known about! This will replace my most southern cache that I found in Guam and get me a Singapore souvenir! Found with jjlilly01. Thanks for the cache and souvenir! TFTC
Great! After gettig the southernmost point in America, this is the second "southernmost" cache we could reach. Thanks for showing this ice place!
10/9/17 at 5:17 PM, find number 1061. Greetings from Taiwan
As a newer resident of Asia, this cache has been in my sights since I began this hobby. Now finally I can log a find for one of earth's extreme points, at least an extreme geopolitical point.
Not so mant tourists today, which is nice. I sat at the GZ of the traditional cache nearby and wrote these logs, with the calming sound of the surf lapping at the shore.
roadwarrior50, TFTC! ?

On the spur of the moment we decided to jump on the train to Sentosa island and visit the virtual. After finding out that our tourist tickets didn't cover the monorail we bought tickets for the journey. After a lovely walk along the beach and crossing the rickety bridge (just like Pirates of the Caribbean but not so high) we got to GZ which wasn't a building site at all. Rather nice, in fact. We took some photos and explored the island. Many thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
Thanks for the great cache joyed in a great location. Our third ever virtual cache. It is great to find one of the grandfather caches. Tftc
I am back to France after 12 days of business trip in Asia (going respectively to Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan).
Now that I am at home, it’s time for me to comment briefly all the caches discovered day after day during all this tour…
I spent 4 days in Singapore which was a very good opportunity to do a little bit of Geocaching.
It is always very exciting to search and discover some caches in foreign countries !!
Unfortunately, I was most of the time with my boss, so not able to do Geocaching as much as I would expect, but I was not in Asia for vacation…!!
I finally had some opportunities to discover some few caches after work and during my free time.
Log of the cache:
During my Day-Off, I spend a very nice day on Sentosa Island which is a very nice place.
And I really enjoy this spot. Seems like paradise !!
Thanks for showing me all these places and Greetings from France !!

We had a wonderful day on Sentosa Island and of course also visited Palawan Beach and this nice spot.
Visited the cache site while on a short visit to Sentosa Island and Palawan Island. The feature constructed near the cache co-cordinates was undergoing some repairs to the lights.

During our visit of Singapore we also went to Sentosa Island which is a really nice place. Tftc
The most southern part of Singapore too! Love walking across the bridge especially when it is high tide!
I am at the end of a 9-week exchange at Nanyang Polytechnic. I finally made it to Sentosa and sure glad I did before my return to Canada. What a great spot. TFTH!
An incredible view from this island! I loved this place and will definitely come more during this year

STORY (NOT RELATED TO THE CACHE ITSELF)
I have never thought that I am going to travel to east Asia from such a small country in Europe called Lithuania, nor that I will be able to spend a lot of time here, meet the people, investigate the culture and try the real cuisine in this part of the world. Fortunately, life can surprise everyone anytime (though also it can be an unfortunate case), and it did surprise me- I was given an opportunity to spend a year abroad in National University of Singapore! Not only I will be able to do all the above things in this amazingly beautiful and powerful city of Singapore, but additionally I will be able to gather some (hopefully more than a half) caches here, and if the odds are going to be in my favour I might even travel around some part of Asia! I am very happy to be given such opportunity and I am looking forward into the challenge that this year is prepared for me
Thanks for the cache and a huge thank you goes out to all of the owners of the caches, who keep them alive and ready to find for the travellers of the world like myself. You indeed make this experience even greater Lots of love and warm greetings from Lithuania!

Today we visited Sentosa Island and being at this place we did some swimming, site seeing and....geocaching.
Because of the poor weather conditions it was not very crowded on the beach, so time enough to look for the traditional cache. The virtual was very easy of course.
Thanks for this one.

Nice wee island to come to. Glad there was a bridge so we didn't get wet getting to this GZ. Thanks for putting this here as it made us go to the island for it and enjoy the lovely location. TFTC ?
On today's tour of Singapore, together with Penny Marple, went on a visit to this magnificent corner. After some relaxation on the beach we went back to the city center.

Together with KdoFhr on holiday. Stayed some amazing two weeks in Asia and will definitly come back. Our stay in Singapur was a bit longer but anyway a bit too short. Strolling trough the town and using the subway was a good combination to get to know some interesting places. This was one of the most interesting ones! A very beautiful area. If we would have had more time, I'd love to stay a bit longer here. Thank you very much for showing this place to us, we enjoyed!

Decided to go on my second Geocaching trip with my friend who introduced this to me last Dec. I can't believe it's not a year yet! Also wished that I could assist him much better now that I have gained some skills overseas from the Americas. Since he finally got a new bike, I wanted to cycle around our residences. However, as the discussions progressed, it became Sentosa. (We have lesser choices since he completed so many ahead of me.) Never did I thought that today's excursion with him will make me have my first 100% of all 5 finds! WOW!
This was great because I didn't even know this is an attraction!
This was great because I didn't even know this is an attraction!
Even though today started with pretty unpleasant weather I decided to head to Sentosa, after all there is lots of cable cars and busses . Luckily it didn't rain too much anymore, so I was able to do a few caches .
Also visited this place.

During our trip through Borneo and Singapore we spend some time to search some geocaches. With our, 3 day unlimited public transport travel cards, we decided to visit ‘Southern most tip of Asia’. It took us one hour to get here. We were surprised to find beaches in Singapore.

In Singapore for the week doing work for a customer. After finishing the job for today I took a cab to Sentosa in order to look around and find some caches.
Always fun to log these old virtuals! This one is definitely worth a FP for highlighting this amazing part of the world! Tackar!

An amazing trip so far and this island within an island within an island was a special spot and it recalledvEasterly Extreme at the most eastern point of Australia. "Grabbed" this virtual and moved onto the trad. tftc
I did not expect to find beaches in Singapore, it's a nice surprise. Well, ok, I will not bathe here because the cargo are close and pollute but under the sun, it gives a landscape paradisiac. The access to the island by the footbridge was nice. Thank you very much for this virtual!

A small group decided to stay in Singapore and skip a trip to Indonesia. We started our day in Sentosa. Of course we wanted to visit this place. It is a amazing place to see this.
We are a group of 19 Swedish geocachers that went to a little trip to Singapore - Cambodja - Vietnam.
It is a huge differens to travel from a country with snow, ice and a temperature below 0 Celcius to this part of the world that is very warm.

Always fun to log a ghost. Thank you for taking us to this nice beach. Wish I had my swiming trunks with me.

We were nineteen happy Swedes who would visit Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore in thirteen days and we also hoped we would visit Turkey and Malaysia. Now that we are home after a crazy trip, we know we managed to visit all six countries. Even though the visits in the last two countries became very short visits.
We visited a lot of interesting places. Some were beautiful, some had a horrible history, but I am happy to have done this journey and it was an absolutely wonderful trip that I am pleased to have done.
A big thank you to all CO for the work so I've got to see all the things I've seen
Wished there had been more time to see even more interesting places.
TFTC!
