#12721 10:45For the October long weekend a plan was hatched to stay in Tathra for a few days of geocaching, sightseeing and relaxing together with Brewmaker, Cryptic8, AUbeasty, Ziggiau, Team Canary and Its_Dozzie.A visit to Bega is not complete without a visit to the Cheese factory. We undertook some community maintenance and replaced the cache as it is in a great spot for visitors!TFTC
A group of Sydney cachers were down the coast for the long weekend and decided to drop into Bega, initially for parkrun, and then for caching. We saw the DNFs listed, the NM and reviewer note, and decided to replace this cache due to its high tourist value. Our community maintenance should keep this one going until the CO can make other arrangements (if they deem our efforts unsatisfactory). Hint still applies.
Hi mattbindi,
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 4 weeks) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 4 weeks to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Multiple DNFs in a row over 2 months, CO might want to check on this one
Spent a while looking for this and found places where it appears was hidden.
F(H)ound It! #3827 @ 2:05 PM with Miz Wacket and the geohounds
I completely lost MW not sure how I could do that in such a short distance from the car to the cache. She turned up again in time for the cheese.
Thanks for the cache, mattbindi

A quick find and some delicious cheese to boot! Thanks for this sweet little hide
I first visited the cheese factory in Bega as a child, when we used to spend Xmas holidays in Merimbula. It was very interesting and you could get very close to all the action back them. Sixty years later it is great to see that they still make cheese here. This cache was found quickly and easily.

Found with geokid after enjoying a milkshake! Geokid wasn't thrilled about the residents. Tftc
I justified that beautiful piece of fudge by telling me I’ll walk it off on my way to the geocache, well cache was so close and so easy, don’t think that worked. Snails in place, cache in good order! Thanks!!!
Nice spot. Quick find. Cache was well guarded by some Juicy looking slugs and a large snail
Had a lovely lunch and looked at the amazing machinery in the heritage display with the geograndkids then headed to find this one. Tftc

We came up to Wallagoot from Tassie to pickup a rusty old car, figured it was too close not to duck up to Bega and check out the cheese factory. Picked up some cool souvenirs, and of course, a local cache TFTC
Bega is famous for old Subarus - at least that’s why we’re here. Checked out the Cheese stuff while we went through too though Found this cache to mark our passage. Very impressive factory here.
Found the cash but it was so slimy from slugs. I didn't want to open it. Also encountered a frog family
Nice fun hide. Came for the heritage centre but unfortunately was closed for us.
Thanks, was a good location! Lots of European wasps the day we found it, be careful.
Accidentally disturbed family of slugs to nab this one...
Slimy, yet satisfying!

Unfortunately had to log a DNF for this one. Location was correct however when a local worker came over to ask if we were looking for a tin he told us that it was correct place as he'd seen someone a while back put it back. Thorough search around area came up empty, looks like its gone
