What better way to spend a mental health day from work than to take a spontaneous hike and find some caches with a mate! I've spent many hours out here and had not yet made the trek over the top of Mt Cooke (wild wet weather turned us away from going over on my year 10 hike unfortunately). We parked at the Karijini cache and made our way clockwise around to find 21 relatively easy finds in total.Having seen no one yet on hike, someone passed us shortly after we detoured off the Bibb to find this. Climbing up top was a thrill, TFTC!
I dropped off a TB here on my geocaching walk of the Mt Cooke circuit - loved the walk. TFTC and the excellent series.
Mothers Day, and after breakfast the opportunity for a walk, so we chose to go to the top of Mount Cooke. We thought it might be fairly quiet, however when we arrived at our car park there were at least six other cars there and people doing the same walk that we were doing. Such a beautiful walk to the top of this mountain and then we continued a little bit further to this spot where we found a really well maintained ammo tin. Its amazing how these can survive so many years and fires as well. The views and the rocks were spectacular and it was a wonderful way to spend the day. Thanks Jinta29 and KyzabraDomsky
It's So windy up here today but nice and cooling. Cache was found after searching the wrong side of the rocks but It was still an easy cache to find. Very durable and almost fireproof in its location. Thanks for the quality cache.
Found in good condition, signed log, took nothing but left a skateboard key ring trinket. Thanks for the cache
Nice morning out hiking with geowife. Doing the mount Cooke loop for the first time after many trips to Mt cuthbert. Didn’t realise until we arrived there were a wealth of caches to be had. TFTC!
Left home at 5:45am for a one hour drive down to Mt Cooke. Was a perfect day for a hike and we collected a few geocaches along the way including this one. Thanks for the adventure.
What an awesome morning we had... set out at 6am with geo-hubby and muggle in-laws to complete this circuit while the weather looked fine! In-laws are 67 and 80 years old and absolute machines... they have completed the Bibb Track over many years recently so we knew that this intro to geocaching would be right up their alley! We ended up walking 14.7kms and had a blast with amazing views, beautiful wildflowers and great company!
We found all 21 around the circuit with no DNFs and loved finding lots of ammo boxes in there (that would have been fun bringing them all up here!)
Thank you Jinta29 & Kyzabra for placing and maintaining Golgfields - Esperance for us and others to find and enjoy!
Also want to mention that the cache names are all places we love.... we travelled around in a Caravan in 2004-2007 and did not leave the state! Too much to see in this beautiful state of ours! (Big plan was to travel OZ but didn't leave WA!)

Another ripper cache and a another favourite point added. Quite a few muggles have found this one and signed the log too!!
Thanks Kyzabra and jinta29 for the series.
An excellent day of caching around the mountain circuit with Probsty. We made a 21 finds from 21 attempts including the final. All caches were in good condition

The last find in the Western Australia series for me today. I started from Sullivan Rock so I decided continuing for the rest would be a bit too long a walk! I'll have to come back starting from another spot. Picked up TB.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Up for an afternoon hike, thought we would grab a few caches while we were out. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
Needing a cache to help fill our D and T grid we headed off from Bunbury with caching buddies Copwats for the day. The cache took us to this spectacular area so whilst here what better way to fill in the day but to do the series. It was a brilliant Autumn day with amazing views. We finished the walk with a few tight body parts but loved every minute. TFTC
Thanks to the cache owners for putting this series and caches here. We thought this would be a short drive from our camp site at Nanga but the 42ks as the crow flies is over 100 by road. Amazing scenery and magnificent views from the ridge. The wildflowers were just starting to come out. In two weeks the orchids come out it will be spectacular.
All caches were found bar one and the mystery that we didn’t get a chance to work out. All caches found in good condition with accurate coordinates. The entire circuit took us 6 hours carrying a baby and having a half hour picnic at the summit. Apologies for the duplicate log.

Up from Bunbury on a lovely winters day, picnic and lots of water packed, the wind is fairly strong but the sun is nice and warm fantastic views and and a strenuous climb in parts crossed over a couple of creeks whilst doing this series absolutely awesome hike. TFTC

It was a bit of a spontaneous decision to answer Mr.fatra's call to tackling Mt Cooke series
In company of 2 + 4, CJ252 and Mr fatra all caches on the way where found quickly with one or two taking a bit longer.
We had a bit of everything Rain, sun, wind, magnifies views and clouds.
thanks for brining at this series with a fantastic hike TFTC Kyzabra & Jinta29

A call went out for anyone interested in tackling Mt Cooke. An intrepid group of hikers was formed - 2 + 4, CJ252, Daddy LAXA and Mr fratra and a date and time set. 24 hours before hand the weather caused discussions to be had and advice being sought before the decision was made 'let's go for it'. We had planned to meet at 7.30am but us all being super punctual meant we headed off at 7.15am and signed the final cache 4.5 hours later. We completed the hike amidst drizzle, sunshine, freezing winds and icy cold rain all at various points along the track. All caches were found and signed as 24CJFTLAXA. A fantastic hike and enjoyable morning with great company.
TFTC jinta29 this is find # 5019 for us.

The 10th cache of the morning and what a morning. Wind, rain and mad drivers. We set off for the series around 7.15 with Fratra, CJ252 and LAXA. All the caches were found in good condition although the weather conditions kept changing.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
I've been eyeing off this series for a very long time, having walked much of this section of the Bibbulmun track some years, in my pre-caching days. A friend of mine decided he would like to do some hiking and I convinced him to come with me on this trail. Surprisingly he went all out and actually made a geocaching account - premium and all! - Deefa71 - so he could fully immerse himself in the experience A great day out - a magical winters day: 23 degrees, no wind or rain and compact ground underfoot- it took us about 4.5 hours to complete the circuit, with 22 finds and no DNFs. Apologies for the generic log. TFTC
Found on day 10 of our walk to Albany. Walking out of Mt Cooke to Nerang . Thankyou for the cache
Found with GrilledMonkey while out on a day hike up Mt Cooke. Thanks for this great series. Easy finds and amazing scenery.
Find 7 of 20 on a clockwise hike up and over Mount Cooke, starting at Rottnest Island. A fantastic day to take in the views and enjoy the variety of hides. All were found within a minute or two which was good as we were on a tight schedule to get back to pick up our son from Scout Camp at Manjedal!

Stopped by here with jinta29 on a maintenance run today. I really enjoyed the walk around Mt Cooke, happy to add some smilies to the tally. Yep, may have forgotten to log these ones for over a year - a la AlliedOz. Thanks for placing this series Kyzabra and jinta29.
I had planned a maintenance run up here today and stopped by to check this one on the way past. No problems here, the cache is in good condition.
Out for 7 days on the Bibb Track. Other walkers are geo Muggles so have to limit my finds a bit. Found 6 from 6 caches today. Not so many from here on. All caches found today were in good condition and no maintenance is required. Thanks Kyzabra & Jinta29 for the hide.
Had the Mount Cooke bushwalk on the radar for some time now and finally time and suitable weather all lined up. This walk is truly a geocachers dream having so many caches in close proximity to one another and being such a great walk. Thank you to all the CO's.
Quick find here after a short search. All good with the cache.
Thank you kyzabra and Jinta29 for placing this series. Signed log, TNLN.

Some junior members of another caching team begged to come with me today, but for one obvious reason, and another (lack of sleep on their part) I was a mean Aunty and refused their attendance. This did result in quite a few text messages asking where I was! It was a great day for a walk, just the right temperature and a nice breeze. I enjoyed the walk and geocaches very much. TFTC jinta29
Thank you! On a lovely autumn morning papillon367 and I teamed up to hike Mount Cooke. We were a little worried on approach as there was a prescribed burn in the area, but luckily it was on the opposite side of the highway. We parked near the suggested parking spot and headed off in a clockwise direction.
We had no issues finding the cache at GZ, and were happy for a brief stop from the uphill climb.

Ullyssia and I teamed up on this beautiful day to tackle this series and the other hides in the area. We got to fill a few more spots on our D/T grid and it was nice to have a break from micros. All caches were found without too many issues, although some took a bit longer than others. This one was a quick find.
Thank you for the cache and for the series Kyzabra and Jinta29.

Found Goldfields treasure chest. Could see the magnificent view of the Jarrahdale State Forest nearby the cache. No trackables to trade TNLN SL TFTH Jinta29.
Another nice spot to take a moment to look around. Amongst other amazing plants spotted a long elegant orchid. TFTC.
Went for a hike up Mt Cooke with Pret WA Team and found some geocaches too - this was one of them. Thanks for placing this cache in such a nice place.
Tftf found whilst out with a group of friends fantastic view from the top wowwow
A great series, left Busselton at 6 am for this series, the stars where still out and watched the sunrise as we went through Collie, which was a chilly minus 3.3 degrees.
Lovely to see Jack Frost everywhere, white footy oval, white crunchy lawns, icicles on the fence posts, steam escaping from the baby calves as they walked beside their mums.
Arrived at our destination at 10.30, a lot further than I thought but ready to start the trek and challenge of this series.
We tackled this in the anti-clockwise direction and glad we did, beautiful crystal clear streams trickling down the ranges and plenty of water going over the rocks on a beautiful, clear, sunny, but chilly winters day.
We made it to the top with spectacular views and no injuries, great to see all the bush coming back to life after the recent fires, lush new green growth everywhere and the grass trees where stunning against the brilliant blue sky.
We got back to the car after our long 6 hour trek then meandered through Jarradale and Pinjarra back to Busselton by 9pm under a star filled sky.
Thanks for the challenge and I am sure it added to our D/T grid.

Originally found under family caching name "clan-wallace". Geohubby wants his own caching name, so I get to re log them for him!
Going well since our rest stop. Geohubby did some running repairs on the container as he has worked with these throughout his 30 year service career. All good now.. TFTC
After our rest stop we were feeling revived and made it to this one in no time. I had been told by the CO one cache had been damaged and this was it. Luckily it was in a sheltered position and the contents had escaped the elements and all was dry within so no replacement log required. I though it would be a case of a simple slide in but this was not the case as somehow the middle pin had been bent. The cache was soon passed to Mr Clan-Wallace who had the most experience in repairing these. Even then it was not an easy task, luckily I had a screw driver in my caching kit which moved it enough to restore the lid onto its hinge. I don't think it will come apart again in a hurry. While the cache was being repaired I signed the log and noted the clue. Cache was then replaced back into its hiding spot and we were on our way once again. TFTC Jinta29 and Kyzabra
Found on the Cooke's Tour by the famous 5, made up of Mr and Mrs Clan Wallace, megawat60, WebblyWA and moi.
Having lived in Esperance for a few years in another life, this brought me back to a rock or 2 I had climbed there, the one at Twilight Beach as well as Frenchman's Peak.
But here, the Capricorn amongst us, WebblyWA, made the find, then she enlisted the help of Mr Clan Wallace to make some repairs on the cache.
Thanks for this cache jinta29 and Kyzabra!

Was I really feeling that refreshed? Well everyone else said so so I must have after our little break and sustenance intake.
At least my Garmin was working well today and I think I am starting to understand some of it's foibles! But Mr Clan-Wallace beat me to this one and then WebbleyWA had the near perfect repair tool to fix the beast. More great views, but still not at the summit, think the Garmin said about 560 odd elevation. Pretty high climb though for a place in WA!
Thanks again jinta29 for a nice challenging series.

We had an awesome day hiking the mt Cooke trail all caches were found and in good order bar one which had no lid on it when we found it (co informed and cache dried out). We did the series in about 6 hours at a casual pace with numerous stops to take our crazy photos such s great series! We are so lucky in Australia! Removed some trash from the top as well including stove gas canisters and soft drink bottles. Totally awesome day thanks for the hard work in placing the caches

With a hike along the Kokoda coming up i needed to get out and do some walking. The Mt Cooke series has been on the radar for some time and today was the day to tackle it. I added 20L of water to my pack to make the trip a bit more of a challenge and headed off. A nice straight forward hike with all of the caches in this series being simple, sensible hides. A great morning to be out. TFTC.
We had previous been up the mountain from the south to get the old cache and a couple of others prior to this series being published. This time we came from the north as a clock wise loop. A good walk as we picked up the caches in the series and a few of the others on the north side we did not get to before and the other new ones. No real problems with the hides as we made our way around the circuit picking up the clues. Great views from up top. Once back at the car we did the final maths for completion of the circuit. The set of numbers looked good and soon we signed the final. A 3 hr round trip. Some Wallabies and Goanna's spoted. TFTC. A fav pt for the series. Great Views
(Chwiliwr team catch up log)
We came for a walk today to do the rest of the series and a new cache published last night.
A quick find here and the code noted.
Log signed and cache returned as found.

Met up with iluvekking and JacobsCrew2 to do this series. Beautiful day to be out on the trail and no problem locating any of the containers due to spot on co-ords. Couple of spots that were a bit tricky when navigating rocks but a great morning trek. Spotted a few skinks and fortunately nothing nasty along the way. Enjoyed the awesome views. Thanks for the series Kyzabra & Jinta
Met up with richlink and JacobsCrew2 today to tackle this series. The old bones found it a bit hard going in places, but all caches were found and we enjoyed the company and the views along the way. Thanks for the challenging series Kyzabra & Jinta.
Out with Lazarus_68 to complete the caches in the Mt Cooke area. We started reasonably early (for me any way). The caches were completed in a clockwise direction as suggested. This being the ninth cache for the day. All caches in the series were found without any trouble and a note of the codes was made as we progressed through the series. The assent was relatively easy although marred a little by the rain on the way up. It didn't take us long to dry out as the walk progressed. The views from the top were magnificent. The descent phase of the walk proved to be the toughest part for me and like some others we seemed to lose the track for a while. But that's why we carry a GPS so we can go directly to the cache. I spotted quite a number of small wrens flitting around, a couple of lizards and one wet kangaroo. All in all a very enjoyable day. Many thanks for the Mt Cooke series.
Out in the morning with hhheddy looking for caches + GCA's Mt Cooke Trig on top. Walked the track in clockwise direction, this being #9 cache for the day. The assent was relatively easy, although marred by light rain, didn't take long for us to dry out as the walk progressed. The views from the top were magnificent, plus found interesting rock formations. The descent proved to be the toughest part, painful on the knees, taking care not to slip on loose wet stones etc. All in all a very enjoyable day. Many thanks for this awesome series!!
An early morning to some what get me ready for starting work again tomorrow, however after the day i may be a little sore.
B12 has done a full log and photos, trip was enjoyable and has helped the DT grid but I am still a little behind Steve on this one.

TFTC! Found on a lovely morning walk with Cravo10 to complete the regions of wa trail and a few others along the area of Mount Cooke. Probably rates as the second best series I've done to date (5000caches) slightly behind the CCC trail.
Was good going for most of the way, with a well defined path although I managed to get myself somewhat lost between Cookes Nook and Gascoyne. I somehow managed to lose the trail, but with a small amount of bushbashing and taking note of a well marked waypoint found myself back on the trail. Slot of thanks to jinta and Kyzabra for putting together such a good trail. All caches were found with a minimum of fuss except for the puzzle which took me about ten minutes.
I managed to knock over a major milestone whilst out today - filling my DT grid on Cookes Tour which was the final spot on the grid to be filled (d1t4).
I would love to award more fav points but I am nearly all out so I will have to do some retrospectively. Thanks

Hello jinta29 - I found this cache today (my find # 3496) and the cache is in good condition. with parking at the prescribed point and beginning my walk. The path is good for walking, though some hairy bits where trees have fallen, and generally easy on my old legs (although it did get a bit harder later on). All of your caches and logs are in good condition. SL. Thanks to jinta29 for the cache.
I had previously completed the trek over Mt Cooke a few months before this series was published. That time I went from south to north and always wanted to try it from the other end. I heard the CO's were doing a maintenance run today so asked if I could join them. We met up at Ningaloo Reef around 5:30am and headed off in a clockwise direction.
We were together for the fist six where they turned around to check the ones at the other end so I was left to my own devices from there on. The hill climb from the Northern end was less severe, but the old knees didn't enjoy the steep decline over the other side. Needless to say the terrain was a little different since the bushfire went through and disturbingly may have enhanced the views at some locations.
Spotted the cache location on approach to this one and after a bit of a climb I was within reach of the container. Opened the log book and was surprised to find that the last entry was from a muggle who had found it by accident.
More spectaucalar views from this GZ as well (pic attached), awarding another favourite.
jinta29 I found your cache at 7:20am, this was the 9th of 38 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2568. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

There seems to have been another fire gone through here since the first one . Will get out here soon to check on this series.
Every time I drive up the highway to Perth I look at this hill and tell myself I will walk it one day. The lure to make the journey around it became greater when this series of caches was published, however I didnt want to start until I solved one particular puzzle. I had a couple of weeks off and got in to the puzzle and managed to solve it.
Had organized with SpatialRiq to go for the walk and after parking at the southern end we set off with SR making the finds on the first few. I was slow off the mark but finally found one before he did after about the 5th cache.
With the exception of about 4 caches which had perished and weren't able to be located due to the 'controlled' burn we completed the findable caches in the series. Was an enjoyable walk and will definitely be coming back to do it again and finish it off the ones I hadn't picked up.
Thanks for the cache and series. (Sorry for the repetitive logs)

Several weeks ago McFonz and I organised to do the Mt Cooke series. Unfortunately in the time since, the controlled burn in the area got a little out of control and destroyed several caches. Luckily we were able to find all bar 4. Both puzzles were intact and signable. Started our walk around 7am and finished at 11am covering around 8.5km. A great day to be wandering the Mt Cooke area.
This was out 11th find, and great to locate back to back ammo tins! . I liked the GZ of this one too, great feature to add a cache to. Another fav point coming your way. TFTC.

Seems like a fire has gone through this area and wiped out a few of the caches. Will need to visit to determine which have survived.
Had a brief stop over in Perth and what better way to explore the state than a trip around Mt Cooke. Set off early to avoid the heat of the day. On arriving in the area it seems a very recent hazard reduction burn has been undertaken over most of Mt Cooke. Unfortunately this has destroyed a number of caches in the series and a few others. These were the plastic sistema containers (South west, Gascoyne - prob burnt, eagles soar, Peel -prob burnt, great southern -prob burnt, ningaloo burnt, karijini burnt).
The area around Goldfields missed out on the fire, so it's ok.
Took the coin.
Despite the blackened Bush had a great walk.

With the wife and daughter away at school camp and me up earlier than usual to drop off the lad at school, I decided to make the most of the week of annual leave I’m on and get some finds in on as many days as I can. This is day three of my week of caching and I have been keen to do this series since it came out.
I wrangled in a muggle walking friend and we set out around 09:30 and finished the series at about 13:30, The expected forecast was for 27c but there was a nice breeze for most of the walk so it did not get too uncomfortable at all.
Spot on cords for each and every cache, different cache containers and a good amount of ammo cans
We saw a lot of wildlife, no slithery ones but heaps of lizards, insects and the like, so many flowers are in bloom and the drone of the bees added to the magic of the walk.
We stopped up the top for lunch and drank in the views, it really is worth the trek around this trail as it does have it all.
Thanks jinta29 and kyzabra, a well constricted series with a variety of cache containers at regular intervals, well done guys we loved it.
The last traveler drop off. Onto the next cache, we have been going for a while now, lunch soon!

As usual, I have fallen behind in logging my finds - some things never change. Anyway, I didn't just want to write something as meaningless as TFTC, or a , or Nice hide, or any of the other throwaway logs that seem to be becoming the norm lately. Nor did I want to write a generic log either, saying the same thing over and over. So I have found myself in a bit of a quandary...
As my companion on the day(~Tango~) wrote in his logs, this series is absolutely fantastic - everything that geocaching should be, and the CO's managed to highlight all that our great state has to brag about: amazing locations, great hiking trails, beautiful scenery, along with a great range of hide sizes and styles. And, as always, Tango was the perfect companion for the expedition - shame Ralph couldn't have been along with us too, but no doggies allowed up there. Next time...
In short, the entire series was an absolute pleasure to do, and I am extremely grateful to the CO's for the time and effort that went into the planning and execution of getting this benchmark series out there. Well done guys - you deserve every favourite point that I am sure this series will attract.
And while my logs may be mostly generic (sorry!!), I did manage to take quite a few photos whilst out there and will upload many of them to the various logs. I just hope they inspire others to get out there and enjoy this amazing series for themselves.
Thanks again jinta29 and Kyzabra

I have passed by Mt Cooke many times over the years and have always wanted to get up here. What better motivation than a well organized caching trail. jinta29 and Kyzabra, you have excelled in creating a landmark series which, to me, shows what caching should be about. I said to Mistraluna as we were admiring the views from one of the many vantage points that if I had enough favourite points I'd give one to each cache in the series. Well, on checking, I don't have enough. Probably a direct result of recently losing interest in caching after the flooding of the scene with meaningless hides. But I'll give as many faves as I've got.
Despite the weather forecast we had great weather for a bit of a hike. Lots of flowers, with even more orchids getting ready to flower within a month. Birds, views, a babbling brook, a bit of exercise, great company: couldn't really ask for anything else. You can't take the credit for the weather or the company but for the rest of it, thanks heaps for setting the trail.
Forgive the generic log and now get out there and set some more like these.

A late and showery start to the day but we gave it a go. First time here and the awesome hike rewarded us with great views between the showers. Unfortunately a wrong track was taken and we missed the last 6 of the series. Was getting late and needed to reach the car before dark. We will be back to finish!! Thanks for the caches.
Today was the day for the walk around Mt Cooke to collect the Western Australia Series and a couple of other hides on the way. All started really well, with a sunny-cloudy weather, but as we were climbing up towards the summit we got some showers.
To sum it up it was good fun despite the wet weather, nice flowers and scenic views from the top. TFTH

Had a great day with my mum OOH YEH doing this series and picking up a few others inbetween. We had great weather and the scenery was fantastic. Liked the variety of containers and we found all the co-ords to be good. Thanks for the series
Been planning to do this series since last weekend with the geodaughter Redlipsandunicorns and with perfect weather today we headed out this morning. It was a great walk with some amazing views and i was quite amazed out how many people we went past that were walking this track. It was great finding good sized containers and i found all theco-ords to be spot on. We collected all the clues along the way and also picked up the other caches that were inbetween this series. I will give a favourite point for each one of the caches as it was a very enjoyable series in a great location TFTC Jinta29
Travelled to the parking spot in the early hours of the morning and set off in a clockwise direction to grab the Mount Cooke caches at about 0630. I enjoyed the pleasant walk by myself and took in the views at every opportunity. I was back in the car just after 10am and on the road to grab a few more before heading home.
Thanks for the series, a very enjoyable walk indeed.

We hope you enjoy the series as much as we did placing it.
Logging my find here as part of the placing crew with permission from Jinta29 .
A fav for the view.
