Up in Geraldton for a few days so took the chance to collect a few smilies, we found the cache however maintenance is required here as portions of the cache are missing. TFTC
Think this one needs maintenance to operate as intended. Didnt need the billy or the code to access the log.
Nice stroll with the dogs. Got the right combination but didnt need it to get to the cache.
Woohoo, didn’t need the billy but still checked we had the correct info! We had worked this one out before we left Hobart. We enjoyed the walk.

Found on a cruise around the area prior to our departure back to the East coast. Enjoyed the walk and the hide although it does need maintenance to make it fully functional again.
Had the combination and found we didn't need it to access cache. Good to see a new Billy there. Forgot. to try to open lock. Great cache. Could do with some tlc. Tftc
Stopped at this cache whilst on a roadtrip with Eliktrisiti. We didn't find as many caches in the Geraldton area as we had hoped for, and after being home for a week or so, I have decided that the motto I would adopt for these logs would be this: It isn't the destination that is important, it is the journey!
In a nutshell, we had fun and that is what it is all about. Great company, lots of interesting locations, good variety of caches, even got to meet one of the local geocachers while out and about, and of course, we came home with a whole swag of smileys.
This cache was found early on the second day. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Team 8 Ball and for showing us around the Greenough/Geraldton area.

Always happy to see a bit of difference in the field. Thank you for the hide and fav from me
Enjoying the journey with iluvtrekking as we head towards Geraldton. So many great spots to check out along the way. The two geo-hubby's enjoyed the walk through the reserve to grab the two puzzle caches while Mrs. iluvtrekking and I read the history of the area on the plaques.
Some chillin history in this area and a couple of great caches, thamks Team 8 Ball.
Headed up to Geraldton for 4 days to try and find as many caches as we could. Its been 6 months since we were last there and there has been so many new caches come out that we will need another trip there to find them all. We ended up finding 215 and about a dozen DNFS. We picked a few up on the way and did a detour on the way home to Mullewa and i must say the wildflowers are beautiful at the moment. We found a great variety of caches including a couple of wherigo,s, lots of field puzzles, multi,s and the highlight for the hubby was doing the chirp cache. I would like to say all caches were found quickly but that definately wasnt the case lol.... There was some very tricky and sneaky hides that took quite a while to find with a few we went back a couple of times to till we found them. We managed to find a few that we previously had DNFS on and it was was great finding a lot of creative cache containers especially some of the field puzzle ones. Thanks to everyone for the caches and hope to find a lot more on our next trip to geraldton....
I loved this cache and i had a great laugh when the hubby got soaking wet. A fav point for this one...

This is the 1st of 3 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 8:49:59 AM. We located, and were able to free the billy - but we just couldn't locate anything to use it on. The final WP is either a very well hidden or we are suffering from "cache blindness", so here's a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

Hi there Team 8 Ball.
We found your cache **"Runner up" **at 12:03:00 PM today, in the company of Everlasting. This makes our find count 14442.
Doh!!! Yesterday Ian freed the billy, filled it and took the contents to the "final" waypoint some 50 metres away, where Penny was searching for somewhere to empty the billy into. - - Of course we didn't find anything there.
Today we were fresher and definitely more alert & the whole puzzle was solved relatively easily, although we did get a little wet in the process.
Sadly we have to report that the billy has completely lost its bottom. Luckily for us there was another container nearby that made the job so much easier, - and wetter.
We gave this cache a favourite point for the adventure.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

TFTC! Today was day one of the "boys weekend" with me and Cravo heading up to Geraldton for IGD 2016, my third trip to this great part of our state and johns second. Think we will continue to do this every year? Especially with all of the new caches getting published around town!!
We drove up the coastal route to cleanup the last of what we had left, so that we could concentrate on the various alternate routes on the way home and on our trip to Geraldton and Mullewa next week for the annual Mullewa Gift event.
We picked up a number of new caches along the route and even some that we had missed on previous visits, being in a 4wd this year made it a lot easier to get to some of the hard to reach places that a 2wd would struggle to get to.
We completed a few really nice caches at cliff head including a legendary Liz and Bruce hide and a couple of ten year old caches.
We got to Greeenough and decided to complete the greenough walk trail caches as well as the caches along Delvin road, knowing that we wouldn't be heading back this way on the way home.
The greenough walk trail was great except for getting two flat tyres from some slow leaks that happened to go a bit faster!!
We then moved our attention to the planes series, which was just bliss, chewed through about 25 caches in just over an hour with Cravo and me taking turns at finding the most likely spot for a cache from about two hundred meters away.
We then meandered around town cleaning up a bunch of caches that have either been recently published or we've missed previously. Had a couple of DNFs, nowhere near as many as I famously had last year, but I might have to refresh my notes from some local cache owners who I'm looking forward to meeting at the event tomorow.
Thanks to the local COs for their hospitality so tatami their cool caches.

Headed to Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day event on Saturday 20th August.
Barnzy12 and I packed the car at 6am and headed North. Despite making a critical error by choosing the freeway to start the journey we then made it to Geraldton and checked into the motel by 5.30pm.
We found several caches along the way some new, old and even archived caches. As I missed the event last year I was guided to some others on the map that I hadn't found before and made for some quicker finds yet still enjoyable.
Ended up back at the motel after getting the new plane spotting series and some other caches close to the city centre at around 9pm. Beers were cold and was then time to relax. After a 15 hour day sleep was needed ready for the big day tomorrow.

Hi there Team 8 Ball,
RE: Your cache **"Runner up"**
Sadly we have to report that the billy has completely lost its bottom. There is another container nearby that can temporarily fill the role, but it can't be secured.

Ian & Penny

Oh did I mention that Sergeant Lockwood would not release his grip on this cache and let me past ??
Sergeant Lockwood needs a replacement !!
Soon !!
Sergeant Lockwood needs a replacement !!
Soon !!
Look out !!
The rains a coming !! [:o]
So I went Waltzing Matilda to get this cache
The cache notes did not give me much idea of what to expect,
and the question would have to be guessed
Or would it ??
Eek !! Seems the salt air doesn't agree with Sgt. Lockwood's health.
Unable to free the billy from his grasp, I called it a fair cop !!
And made use of another rusty container to prepare me a brew to satisfy me thirst for a cache
A few nearby sticks came in handy too,
as I had not enough fingers to cope with spillage
Well that was fun !!
TFTC !!!
And hooray !! I got back to the geomobile just before the rain came down !!

Found to day with the help of BataviaBlue69. Was a really fun cache and at least my feet stayed dry. TFTC and there goes another favorite point
Teamed up with reticbob to do this one. Got the correct answer and proceeded to do you know what. Well, reticbob certainly lived up to his name...... I got saturated. Even my resident TB learned to swim. Finally got there and signed the log. Thanks Team 8 Ball, great fun. Favourite for sure.
Headed out with squash2 as this one required team work. Had a bit of fun getting this one with only one of us getting soaked! It wasn't me! Fun cache, worth a favourite. TFTC. SL.
