After having to detour an extra km or two because of a fallen tree, we made it to GZ. A likely hiding place awaited us there, which contained two old AA batteries, but nothing else. Widened our search in case their presence was just a coincidence, but didn't find anything else that suggested a cache. CO might check it out please? The last finder might be significant. Our thanks anyway to Horseup.
Managed a quick find this morning while grabbing a few caches with my two young geolads, we managed a quick find with this one while grabbing a few caches along the back roads of town. TFTC Horseup.
Found whilst out exploring the St Arnaud range, No bush rats today, just a quiet peaceful bit of bush.

Sorry for the late log. We made a spur of the moment decision last Sunday to go get a few caches. We had previously saved a list of a few outstanding ones in the St Arnaud area that we knew we wouldn't have reception for. We love the caches around the St Arnaud area they are all really well done and generally well stocked which adds to the fun for the kids. TFTC
Today we headed back into the reserve to finish off some of the caches that we did not get to yesterday. No bush rats were spotted today, guess we were plain unlucky. We only saw a few wallaby and saw and heard heaps of birds on our travels. SL TFTC
We (Team Clarmensma) decided the long weekend was a great chance to head over for a day in St Arnaud to complete the BM challenge, target some puzzles and nab as many others as we had time for. Oh and throw in an event also!
A fantastic day was had finding some awesome caches. TFTC!

With a long weekend for us all, becca85 & GemmaSistema decided to make a caching day trip to St Arnaud which of course included myself, boo09 & the Junior Sistema boys (AKA Team Clarmensma) Our main aim was to get through the Bush Meander series and then try and knock off some puzzles (Mum is doing a 31 in 31 days challenge).
We managed to complete all of the BM series (SO AWESOME!!!), plenty of puzzles, attend the event & lots more in between. A huge, enjoyable day was had. Thanks to all of the wonderful CO's for a fantastic day!

Thankfully no bush rats here today! A find find instead whilst out exploring the area. Many thanks
A massive day today caching in and around St Arnaud with becca85 and our 4 geokids ages 5, 6, 6 & 8 (or boo09 & neisha07). We left home at 7:30am and returned at 10:30pm. So a massive 15 hour day of which we just about cached non-stop for 12 hours. The kids were brilliant all day. We made a dent in the caches with close to 60 found but we will still need to return. A big thanks to all the cache owners - just a fabulous day with such variety.

A nice quick find. No bush rats sighted.
With a long weekend ahead of us, GemmaSistema & I made the plans many weeks ago to meet up in St Arnaud today to do the award winning Bush Meander trail and as many others as we could fit in.
Leading up to it we had all puzzles within 30km solved. We cached from 9am til 9pm, with 4 children including boo09 & neisha07 in tow, stopping only for our hour long Lunch event.
Such an amazing variety to be found. My St Arnaud map is now more than 50% Smilies but still plenty more to get to so we will certainly be back! TFTC!

Back in St. Arnaud for the day, to complete some more of the great caches in the area.
We enjoyed driving around the bush tracks, & a few caches required a short walk into the scrub.
Once again, a good variety of cache hides which we enjoyed finding.
Cache found in good condition, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Horseup, for us and others to find.

Out caching with the Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants. Nav has the trip all planned out so The Professor and I just need to sit down, shut up and hang on! After looking at the time and our remaining list we decided to do these instead and leave the trail for another day. Last one done and dusted. Thanks Horseup

Its been a long time since the Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants have been out together - probably the same Bendigo Cup day last year. After missing the recent event we were keen to get out and do the new caches. After a change of plan we decided to this series and leave the trails for another visit

No bush rats today and perhaps that was good for the rats, because swaggie2 would have squealed and scared them off.
Thanks for an interesting cache hide, Horseup.

This cache was an easy find as we were heading home the long way via these southern St Arnaud bush caches. TFTC Horseup
St Arnaud Events (version 2)... After last year's event weekend I just had to come back and sample some more of the fantastic caches around the area. Today I'm caching on my own for a short while before heading home.
Must be a good day for caching around this area. I ran into ChookNChunk at the previous cache and we formed a small convoy for the next few caches.
Thank you, Horseup, for this cache.
#3474. Log signed at 1153Hrs.
Thanks, also, to Maccamob, Crackers, Coffees, Sharkiefan and Micaparamedic for the fun day.

Catching up on some late, very late and extremely late logs (400 in all)
I would like to thank Horseup for placing this cache. I always enjoy getting out and about to view this great country of ours and caching allows me to do that. Once at GZ, I sometimes find the cache quickly but sometimes it takes awhile to sus out the well camouflaged hide. Once found, log is signed and the cache is rehidden as found.
Once again thanks Horseup.

We had just been out for a father's day lunch and was given another present....a cache to find.
Pretty good stuff.
We were within 30m of GZ and left the vehicle. The Cache Monkey had the GPSr in her possession and guided us to the point where the numbers had counted down to close to zero. A cachey hide soon gave up its treasure and a new log was added.

Another easy find, good coords, good condition. No bushrats. Dang. The bush was earily silent, no bird call, no goats, roos or wallabies. No eagles. Hmmm.

Find # 2389 @ 2042 H
Joint FTF with Tyred n Cranky
After seeing 5 new caches come online earlier in the bush area close to town, I ended up down at Tyred n Cranky's place and after mentioning the new ones to them, we all decided to go out for a look and maybe the chance of a late joint FTF or two (or five).
Well one after the other the caches were sitting with clean logs all waiting for a hunter to get the & FTF.
I must say, this road, I know well as this area is one I frequent while on my motorbike cruzing the bush, but it all looked a little strange tonight in the dark.
Didn't see any Rats out tonight, they were possibly all in their holes keeping warm.
TFTC Horseup and well done on your first couple of cache placement hides.
