A beautiful autumn afternoon for some geocaching. I solved this a few weeks back and made the quick find today.
Solved this puzzle a while ago - we were driving past so we thought we turn it into a smiley. TFTC
Solved last night and found the well hidden cache today on a pleasant walk from an event about a km away. This cache is well hidden but the clue is good! Thanks.
Very odd, I can't find my notes on how or when I solved this geocache. But at least I solved the final coordinates into my phone.Working in the area today, the storm expected still hadn't yet, but the wind had cooled the area down a bit. As such, with a few hours spare before needing to cook dinner, I thought I'd grab a few geocaches. Blind Creek was the selected area. It really should be called Hidden Creek, as there wasn't any sign of water. This was a lovely walk, and all caches found in good condition. Even with the great hint, it still took me 3 laps of going over and under to find it. A very well hidden small container that just blends in nicely. Thanks for the cache, Oz Hockey Chick.Hunter
Streak Day 13/366Needing a quick find this morning before an action packed day ahead, we ducked up to this cache to try our best at avenging a DNF.Armed with a clue from the CO from when we did DNF it, we found the cache almost straight away, leaving us scratching our heads as to how we possibly missed that last time we were here.Tftc OzHockeyChick
Heading to an event at the Boronia Library and decided to get some caches along the way.Full log to follow.
Heading to the GIFF, I came early to collect a few caches before. Found quickly between passing muggles (on the other side of the creek). My thanks for the cache, OzHockeyChick.
Tricky little hide had me wandering back and forth whilst BlueBM found it in his usual casual infuriating way! TFTC OzHockeychick.
Myself, fisherfamfive and AdamW looked everywhere for this one today, up and down, in and around, but it must have eluded us somehow. We will be back again for another try soon
this cache was a real struggle. no matter how many times my friend told me the puzzle was easy it took me ages to figure it out. and then we went to find the cache we looked for ages and it was nowhere to be seen. will come back another day and hopefully find it
This one turned out to be quite a pain, after thorough searching up, down and around the bridge with three sets of eyes, we decided to continue with our day and come back to this one another time.
We had to avenge our previous dnf that we had so we made our way back here to make the sneaky find. Very clever we really enjoyed this one. Thanks for the cache!!
We came back here again to try to find this one but came up empty handed no luck for us today.
We had some trouble with the puzzle at first, trying to work out a whole range of potential patterns and codes and clues, even going so far as to analyse the shadows beneath each ball. Eventually we took a simpler approach, and the checker agreed. A pretty quick find was made at GZ. Thanks for the super creative puzzle and pretty sweet container along with it
Having found this previously, this shouldn't have taken long at all. Wrong. Both of our machines were not playing the game today so that also didn't help. Eventually we decided to ignore what they said and start a methodical search starting at the opposite end. Found in the first place we looked. Thanks for the puzzle and the placing of this cache for us and others to find.
An early start today to find a few caches in the area.
I was perusing puzzles online recently, and my daughter walked by and decided to sit and help me with this one. It was a nice surprise to be able to solve an OHC puzzle without turning my brain inside-out .
A pleasant ride along the path to this one, but the find took a little while, after venturing too far into higher terrain rating territory. A very small container, the first of these I've seen, nicely tucked away.

Found it! I had planned a different mystery cache for today but with the last stop of a nearby-ish lab cache still out of bounds, this was the next option. Very pleased to have solved this a few weeks ago after glancing at it occasionally over the last few years. Tonight at GZ I found it in the second placed I looked. Muggle Wen helped by keeping passing Muggles occupied as I searched. I try to always keep in mind the terrain rating to narrow down the search. TFTC SL. The cache is in good condition with a few places left for signatures. Mystery Month is half way through!!
My teenage sister came over to stay the night last night, and so today I decided we should do some caching and enjoy the lovely weather.
I've been past here and had a brief look about a year ago, but I was on a walk with my partner so my chances of finding were slim. Today I came with my sister, we picked a side each to search, and she found it.

Enjoyed the puzzle… Mr Riddells comment”it was good”!
A nice quick and easy find.

I solved this puzzle a couple of weeks ago. I did not seem to have a method, I just tried different things until I had a reasonable set of numbers and surprisingly the checker agreed. The cache was found after a short search. I can't believe I have finally solved an OzHockeyChick puzzle.
Out with BoabTree, we were following the trail of KNDP caches and doing a few trads and puzzles in between. I can’t claim to have solved this, but now have a better idea what to do, so I will go home and work on it. Loved the cache hide. A favourite point. Thanks OzHockeyChick.
I always feel good when I complete an Ozhockeychick puzzle, and even better when I find the cache! TFTC
I was very happy to turn this frown upside down here today! After a gracious pointer from the lovely CO I knew where to look and the recent find bolstered my confidence that the cache was still there.
I grabbed the geopups out of the car and headed straight for GZ, I stuck my hand somewhere I was certain I'd looked before and low and behold the cache was there! Some days you're on the ball and others you're behind the 8 ball that's for sure.
Thankfully the puzzle was much easier than the find for me, it always makes me feel smart when my first hunch gives me coordinate like numbers. Leave it up to the hunting part to bring me back down a peg or two haha!
After signing the logbook we went for a walk in the opposite direction to last time and once again enjoyed this pretty path and area. Thanks again OzHockeyChick!

Having solved this one many years ago I finally remember to go collect it while we we enjoying a sunny day on our scooters. Thank OHC for a great puzzle and hide
I was so proud of myself. After making serious headway with puzzle cache solving of late, I stumbled across two of OHC puzzles that had previously looked too hard, and without help, managed to solve them both!
This one was definitely the easier solve of the 2. A bit of Googling was still required, however it was not too long before i had the coordinates in hand after a beautiful green checker.
The walk down was easy. When I rounded the corner and saw what the location consisted of.....Cringe. It reminded me of another one of OHC hides that I never did find. This one proved to be the same. I had a good look around, looked at the logs and what the cache consisted of. Still no luck. Previous log indicated it may be rusted, making it easier to locate. No luck there either.
After a solid 15 minutes of looking around and dodging muggles on foot and bike, I still did not find it. OHC you win again! I will have to come back for another go.

This was a fun puzzle, thankfully I had an idea of how to find the coordinates and the geochecker agreed! It always makes me feel good when that happens quickly, I won't say how many puzzles I've had sitting in piles with no clue what to do next.
Sadly today at GZ I couldn't get my hands on the cache. I had a pretty good look here, even going places the terrain rating said wouldn't be necessary. I saw that others had a quick find here so maybe I just wasn't on the caching ball today haha! Thanks for the puzzle and I hope to find the cache sometime soon

Nice easy solve. Found cache after a little bit of looking around. Cache was very rusty, including the log. Might need some maintenance
It amazing how creative some CO's are with their ability to come up with interesting ways to hide coordinates. Fortunately, we saw our way to the solution of this one surprisingly quickly (for us that is).
I am sure we got lucky at GZ. It could have been in a number of places but we put our hands on it almost straight away.
Thanks again OzHockeyChick for another nice puzzle and cache.
Chiefton!!!

Out and about on the MTB after a visit to Tentworld not to get anything in particular but hey, here I am in the big smoke. That leads me to comment on how lovely this bush regen at GZ is. Always so at home when I find natural bush in the burbs and I have to say I had a quick bingo jingo jango moment. As for 8 ball, this game is not my strength but the puzzle was solved and happy numbers got the tick. TFTC and the FUN.!
Heading out East for a spot of afternoon caching as well as filling in some challenge/grid gaps.
The sun has long set and the cool night air has set in. While grabbing a nearby KNDP cache we ventured on to this cache. A surprisingly quick solve while trying to walk in the dark at the same time.
We walked past the eager beavers practicing tennis including what appeared to be cricketers who didn’t realize they had the wrong bat in their hands!
A quick find at GZ and put my name in the log.
Thanks OzHockeyChick for the cache. Yet another cache with masterful imagery.

I detected a pattern in the puzzle and the first sequence I put into the Geochecker resulted in a green tick. At GZ I had an idea what I was looking for, but took a while to find the micro. Thank you for a great puzzle.
I solved the puzzle last night, and ventured to the GZ this afternoon.
The area was deserted and the container was soon found.

Finally a puzzle I understood. If it wasn’t for that damn checker being out of order each time I entered a set of coordinates, I could have picked this up ages ago. The checker hated me, apologising while laughing that my answers were incorrect, when I couldn’t possibly be wrong so many times. Steve was no help, so again I reached out to Crustyvarmint and skylizard for help. I was close OHC, just a few digits incorrect:)
Today, being able to travel 25km, we headed out in good spirits, with plenty of hand sanitiser on board to try and collect a few of the solved puzzles from lockdown. Obviously everybody else had the same idea to take a walk in this area as it was like Bourke Street at Christmas. I was again on lookout duty until Steve didn’t have any luck, so we swapped jobs. I’m pleased to say that I found the cache straight away. Go me.
Thanks again OzHockeyChick for another amazing puzzle. Keep them coming.

Lots of learning muggles about playing sport at the nearby facilities but far enough to allow a simple search. While the puzzle took quite a while to solve and required a hint at a recent puzzle event. A quick and easy find was made. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams

So after a full day caching with Crustyvarmint I got home to a master seven who was disappointed he missed out on my adventures. He begged to do a cache and so here I am late Sunday afternoon at your cache, after some negotiation. One more cache and then grocery shopping!
Having solved this one ages ago, I had swung past here briefly with crusty but didn’t have luck, time was not our friend. However today I had my geokid with his super eagle eyes who found it in a flash! Thanks for the cache!

We came here with Heymissjo the other day, but had no success. When we got home we read many of the previous logs and returned today, enthusiastic again. Within 5 minutes we had located the tiny container and signed the log. Tftc OHC.

Thanks OHC for the easy puzzle, unfortunately, my pool table was pulled apart few months ago from the garage as my son is living there now. Fortunately, I still have the eight balls with me. Cute cache, never seen it before.

Needing a non traditional cache today, and my first option going AWOL (it maybe I just can’t find it), I headed further afield to find this previously solved puzzle. A great puzzle and unusual container at GZ. Thanks so much for placing this cache OzHockeyChick, and for the puzzle. Now I’m back to the warmth of home!
This sort of puzzle is my speed.
Our first Mystery cache.
Eightball has been a big part of our lives in the past so solving this one was a must.
Our table was moved on last year so the garage could actually have a car parked in it for the first time in 12 years. Ha.
TFTC All in good condition.

Solved the mystery and made my way to the gz when i couldnt log on for some reason.. so i had to use all my geo-senses .. now where would i hide it? TFTC
Sheesh I'm having a bad day today. Must be coz i have come out catching without the family. I am out getting 5 sizes in one day for a Parkville challenge... this has been sitting solved but unfound for ages. It's less than 2k from my house lol. It is my micro for today's challenge.. luckily i have a different micro up my sleeve for plan B. Or perhaps CO will send me a hint before i get too far way.
After some help for the CO i finally found this bugger. I don't reckon i ever would've found it without that help., not on my own... I'm sure the rest of team Jaktembo woulda got it. I must say even tho im wearing a bike helmet it still hurts a fair bit when ya bump ya head 14 million times... and even more when you know you didnt have to! Certainly plenty of stealth required here.
Thanks for the heads up about the nearly full logbook, Sisteroutlaw.
Log now replaced thanks to Papi4506.

How could I not log this when it took sooooo long to work it out. Surprising how easy it is when you know how, lol. Thanks for the cache.
I had tried to solve this puzzle with no success, but Geoturtle37 got a nudge from the co which got the job done. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Out with the little one making lots of noise and splashing in puddles.
Had a little help with solving the puzzle.
Took me a little while to find.

Log is nearly full, only two lines left! I'll need to invest in some spares to carry with me. Thanks for the cache, I had fun solving the puzzle and enjoying the scenery at GZ. Cache wasn't right on the co-ords according to my phone, but certainly close enough to find, perhaps it was cache creep, if anything it is easier to retrieve now, but I may have put it slightly less in easy view but back where I found it.
Found it! Solved it a few weeks ago and came searching today with ShearingLinc & Archie!
Solved this a few weeks ago and then attempted to find - searched for about 30 mins with no luck. Tonight I came back to try again and bingo - first place I put my hand I found it! That's just how it goes I guess , TFTC OHC
We had solved this a while back so being in the area picked up a few puzzles. Some muggles playing sport nearby but a stealthy find was made. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

An easy day just organising ourselves for the next few days and Christmas. Shopping, gathering items that we left behind in our van, assembling the ingredients for a Peking Duck entree that we are preparing for Friday lunch - and then a little detour along the way to find just one cache. GPSr sent me to one corner, but after searching for a while I looked at the GPSr again and it had changed its mind about "that" corner So up I get and try the new preferred corner and there it was - found it just as I thought it would be placed. [^]
Thanks OzHockeyChick.
Feedback: Given the high number of incorrect attempts at the correct co-ords - this cache could stand a higher D rating.

Another cache I solved a while ago. infact i solved this one hoping to be first but after I missed that opportunity the co-ords were set aside for a Mystery Month Challenge attempt. Today after a supermarket visit I came past here with my youngest daughter who pretended to have lost a bracelet so I didin't look suspicious climbing over and under that structure at GZ. After a lengthy search I resorted to PAF and eighthknox gave me some guidance. But still having no luck eighthknox came down to help with the search. turns out the cache was not where he had told me it was but it was located not long after he arrived. One more to go! Thanks OzHockeyChick
Out and about early to grab a cache while I was in the area. Took a park nearby and made a quick find.
Thanks OzHockeyChick for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

I solved this one ages ago having played the game with friends in my youth. Finally at GZ today the GPS was good to me and the hint helped too.
This was a straightforward puzzle and we soon had a set of plausible coordinates. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find although retrieval was delayed by numerous muggles walking nearby. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks OzHockeyChick for the puzzle and cache.
Nice quick find at ground zero. GPS bounced a little bit but otherwise an easy find and a not too hard puzzle. Tftc

I didn't mean to solve this one.
Well, I didn't know it was here...
I was explaining geocaching to my specialist, and just as an example, we solved this puzzle on his whiteboard!
As you can imagine, I felt kind of compelled to grab it after the appointment!!
Despite junior sports near GZ being in full swing, I was able to strike when there was a momentary distraction.
I couldn't see the cache at first, but it was right in front of me. It seems the angle of the cache when repositioned is key in making it blend.
Thanks OzHockeyChick. This was right up my alley.

Solved this a few months ago and was in the area with spare time today. This was the first puzzle i ever solved solo and i remeber feeling so excited. As soon as i looked at the pic i was like 'yay! I know exactly what to do!' Which was a reeeeally nice change after looking at many others and just having no idea where to even start. A bit of googling and i had the coords spot on (although i did double check them today just in case).
Finding the cache was not as easy.
With nearby sporty seniors having a game, i felt extremely conspicuous. Did some pilosophic gazing while leaning on the guardrail and waited for a substantial rally to check the spot i was suspicious of. Nope. Nothing there. Tried the same spot the other side and still nothing. Crossed back over and again tried one side, then the other. Hmmmm..
Squatted down in the bushes reading the hint and very helpful logs, i tried to spy the little Bugger on the other side. Almost taking a tumble after losing my footing put me at the right angle to see that it was right next to me, i just hadn't felt far enough the first time. Thanks OzHockeyChick for a mostly simple and very satisfying cache!

Dad crunched a heap of figures and worked long and hard to convince the Geochecker of the coordinates. Then along came Master 13 and said "why didn't you just ..." Yep that would have saved a lot of time.

Now this puzzle I did solve myself, and even though G' of GJMMelb had previously found it he was unsure of where the cache was hidden so after a few minutes searching and eliminating the various possibilities I eventually located the little cache - my 3333rd find (according to geocaching.com's count at least)!
Worked this out a while ago but only just got around to going and finding it. After over 6 years am finally making the push to get 900. This is find 899. Now to decide which one to do for my 900 th. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
I enjoyed doing this puzzle. Glad I found the container because it's getting dark, no more daylight savings. Tftc!
Solved this months ago but had no luck in our search for the cache. Today we decided to try our luck again, after reading through the logs the cache was found before the kids could get off their bikes. Tftc, was fun solving the puzzle
Solved this one months ago and kept meaning to stop by after school one day. Found a couple of hours free time today so sent the kids off on their bikes along the bike track while we drove there - moon boot excuse. ..
Wasnt long before Sheldea made the find. Many thanks for the cache!

I often find puzzles a complete mystery of where to even start. The ones in this area are mostly no exception. So I was quite chuffed to have a spark when I saw this one. After a temporary stall where I made a typo that put me many km away I eventually got there.
A walk with the Haines crew, not far away from my parents house in fact and we had success. Thanks for making my 60th find a cool one!

We went out for a much needed walk. It's only the first week of the school holidays and I already have a mantra going through my head of 'only 1 1/2 more weeks' in the hopes that I won't completely lose the plot in that time. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids. Just that hubby has no time off and they are high on chocolate 24 hours a day due to the exceptional generosity of grandparents who spoil them. I will admit, I didn't actually solve this one, my sister did and we just tagged along. She was tempted not to give it to me and make me do the work but she wanted little fingers to help find the thing so what can you do. Cutest little tin. We thought maybe it would get muggled since there were a bunch of kids (in pyjamas at 3pm) doing major explorations of the bridge. But it was still hidden safely in its spot so all was well. Hopefully our walk has tired my geodevils out enough to give me some peace, at least for a little while.
I was filling in time before meeting Hera this morning for our first proper day out caching in FOREVER!!! I thought I'd better prove to the CO that I CAN actually find a cache after my epic fail a couple of days ago. Not only that I can find a cache but I could also figure out one of her crazy puzzles all by myself too! (No applause necessary).
For a while now I've had this solved puzzle sitting in a little folder of caches that I can go and get whenever I'm passing by. Today was the day. I parked my beastly car right near GZ and strolled over to make quick work of the find. Cute container.....I have some of these still with their original contents.
Thanks for this cache in a very pretty spot.

With the day off work, and an event done, it was time to move through the eastern suburbs after the traffic had subsided at 9:30am, onward to another event at 12:30. I picked out a few caches to grab along the way, ones that filled D/T and others that fill days placed, and some puzzles that have sat in my solved pile for a long time.
This is a one of the puzzles that I finally got around to making the time to collect the cache, GZ presented a few possibilities and then I tried the opposite area to where I was searching and found it first feel. Looking back at this puzzle I was scratching my head on how I solved it but then I saw the light once again Thanks for the puzzle and the cache

After several tries, finally got the correct combination to find GZ. Now off to GZ, hmmm where is that container? Dodged a few walking and running muggles in between searching, then the aaaah moment.
We were planning to grab a few caches tonight after GMelb got home from work but G got distracted by the computer and I dozed off on the couch after a busy day at work myself so all of a sudden it was already 8pm!! Not much daylight left! This was 3rd on the list.
Like the previous finder, I solved it soon after publication but we weren't in the area so it was nice to be ticking this one off, it was now getting quite dark and we needed the torch here.
TFTC OzHockeyChick, a fave point for the unique puzzle! GJMMelb

I had solved the puzzle soon after it was published but never seemed to be in the area to grab it. Today I was in the area and was determined to find it. At the GZ I knew where I had to look however it still took me a while to find it. I am sure I had looked at its location when I first got there. TFTC.
Fun fact: this cache was apparently hidden the same day I found my first cache. This one took me a surprisingly long time, I seem to recall. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for the requisite research. Once that was done, it was a fairly straightforward process. At GZ I was hanging around getting nowhere for quite a while before I glimpsed the tiny weeny cache from a distance. I seem to use the word "inconspicuous" quite a bit in logs but I really should have been saving it up for this one. Thanks again OzHockeyChick!
Found it! This has been one of those caches that is so close to home and will take only a little Googling to solve that it always ends up on the 'I must do that one day' list that inevitability never gets done. Well today is different because today we are going to go out and actually find it. Puzzle was solved over left overs on Christmas night and the following day we set out on a mission to get a number of caches and this was one of them...Unfortunately we fell short of our mission target so it was out today to finish off our list. Once at the GZ we knew that it wouldn't be easy as OHC caches rarely are but after a bit of bending and stretching and pretending to be a troll, we had the cache in had. Log signed, high 5's done and we can finally tick off that list...well this one anyway...TFTC...☺
Out for a quick cache this morning to add a few caches to my tally for 25th December, normally a day of few caches.
Once again, solved this one some weeks ago, quick grab on the way home to my darling MuggleWifeDoes before we head off to the in-laws.
Thanks for placing this cache OzHockeyChick

Caught up with OzHockeyChick on the Yarra bike hike and got and insight on this one. Worked it out on the Saturday and seeing we were visiting friends nearby we passed by this one on our way home.

Find #6800
It has been a bit quiet this week at work, so I have had some puzzle solving time. I decided to start from closest to home and make my way out from there. A quick easy solve once my tiny brain triggered what needed to be done. GZ was quite busy with many walking muggles with and without dogs. I was quite familiar with this area as the street I grew up in was not too far away from here. A mini milestone here today with find #6800.

Found while out and about on a Monday night with Rebel Acts. A nice little run which saw us further afield for a secondary task then back to Melbourne to grab some caches before the storm hit. We terminated the run when the rain fell and the trees were moving way too much in the wind.
Thanks
Thanks
Found with TrailRunning on another Monday caching adventure, I had to go to Warragul to look at an Avery I want to buy so we grabbed a few in town before heading closer to home to clean up a few new ones, we were beaten by the storm tonight and called it an early night. Thanks OzHockeyChick for the cache.
After a big day at work we headed off to Melbourne for an over night stay with the plan to grab some solved puzzles in the area by torch light and Wherigo's in Lysterfield the next day. Another good puzzle that when you work out the method it all makes sense. We struggled with GZ momentarily with the different layers but once that was sorted we had the cache in hand.
Thanks OzHockeyChick for another fun puzzle.

We found this cache today at 11:35am as number 5 of our quickfire Knox 5.The aim today was to knock out a couple of the local puzzle caches and the three trads in between were a bit of a bonus. Last on the list today and solved a while back, we soon had the little cache in hand. Someone nearby was getting some coaching from what we could hear. Sounded like tennis. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
With the dear wife away for the weekend for work I decided to sit down last night and work out a few puzzles, this was one of several worked out, but it was the only one close enough while out and about today with the geokids. It proved to be a nice little walk down memory lane as a child I played many a game. I arrived at the gz and heard several voices but they were a little further away behind the cyclone fence enjoying a game and paid no attention to us. I quickly found this before the youngest almost went to search the obvious area and had to call him back. Thanks OzHockeyChick for the cache.
Found tonight whilst doing a little cleaning up in the area to pick up a few local cache. Happy to put a few more smiley faces on the map and eventually found this little sucker! TFTC.
Having owned a pool table, I worked out the clues pretty quickly and it took me back to a location close to where I was finding caches last week in a spot where I suspected a cache might be hidden. Again I arrived via bicycle and this took a while to find as I checked over and under but got there in the end. tftc

I looked at this when it first came out but didn't get anywhere. The solution came after my usual trick of writing down all the information I know and letting the answer come to me.
I was in the area grabbing a new cache and found myself driving past. Arriving at gz I started trolling in the wrong place before taking a step back and rethinking my approach. The cache was in the next place I checked.
Thanks OzHockeyChick for the puzzle and the cache.

Solved this one a while ago and finally grabbed my chance today for a sneaky cache. Thanks for making a great puzzle and placing the cache in a fantastic spot. Had me going for a bit! Cheers!
Trying to clear my second 20 and this was the last one! The wife and I are both chasing the elusive 400 and thought this would be a great night for it!
