Three or four DNFs - time for the CO to check it out as it means the final is also unobtainable.
At the Dunethin Rock weekend, we (2 x RoddyC and Nadine1989) tick out a few caches to hunt down
Day three (Sunday). Having cached the west/south west of Yandina on Friday, then the Ninderry caches, the new caches on the River and close by and the Event on Saturday, we decided today to do Yandina itself - there is a Multi there that Nadine1989 has her eyes set upon.
As one of our clues was right here, we had to have a look, but we can confirm previous logs - it was not to be found!

We were looking in the right area when we bumped into a girl who happened to have hidden it. She looked in the right spot (where we were looking) and was surprised to see that it wasn't there. It has either been taken or knocked down.
This is quite a nice park with good facilities. We got to GZ and had the place to ourselves and we were able to make a quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
Ok so these kind for some strange reason always seem to be a bit hard but today I had some help and was on to it on no time . TFTC !

Early visit to Yandina Mkts followed by a quickie here. All good with this cache,
Found it but surprised it doesn't get washed away when that bridge goes under / floods ☁️☀️
Out with EM (daughter #2) for her almost-annual "adventure bike ride" for her birthday. We gave upon all the Eumundi caches, which is where we went riding... Too many people and bridge repairs, and so on. We ended up here.
Another lovely spot. We ventured onto GZ, and figured we had only a few places to look. Of course, the last one produced the goods, but a quick easy find nonetheless. And a good one too. A good hide: Simple, well hidden, unlikely to be discovered accidentally. I like: Fav Point from us.
Just after signing and returning, a Mum (who looked and sounded stoned ) came wandering in our direction with three young kids. Very sad.

This was another nice cool stop on a hot January day. I found a good place to park and enjoyed the walk. Getting the cache made me a bit hot though! Thanks for the cache d.o.f!
I am in the area and there are a couple of caches to be found. I parked the car and headed out on the MTB.
A quick find here.
Grabbed the clue and back on the MTB.
Thanks for the cache.

Seirra1 and I had enough time to attempt a couple of caches today and this was the first one on our list. We walked down to GZ from the car parking area and while no muggles were around we had a look around and were rewarded with our "treasure". We signed the logbook, noted the clue and then enjoyed the view of the river. Thanks for the cache double oh frog.
Went out chasing a couple of caches today and after setting of found the cache fairly quickly. Signed the log and returned the cache to it's hiding spot. TFTC double oh frog

This was a completely unintentional find.....in fact, it has just taken me a few minutes to try and work out what we were doing on the day/what this find was! But I remember now, we were meeting with my sister for a Christmas lunch in the park close by before heading to the Ginger Factory to meet Santa. My sister asked the kids if they had found the cache here - to which we all replied we hadn't. Cue kids climbing around in precarious places, with their mother (me) freaking out a little. With a bit of prompting the cache was found. Some more nudging and the kids reluctantly went back to the car for a pen, we signed and replaced and went off to visit Santa.

Found a month ago and when hiding it again, no one in sight, a sound frightened me, I look up and a teenage kid was right in front of me flying across the walkway! I'm sure he thought I was mad, on my knees on the cement at dusk... great hide guys! Gracias double oh frog
Find #513
Heading on a mini-caching adventure, MinkosDes and I were headed north for the day. Driving in this direction, the question was asked if I had found this little sucker and I was astonished to find that I had yet to find this one. I pondered for quite some time as to how I had not gone for this one as it was practically in my backyard and I drive past this spot soo many times it's ridiculous.
Anyway.. leaving me to my own devices I was soon at the spot I was meant to be and had the cache in hand. Bear in mind the co-ordinates are off by a little bit so you may need to extend the search out a little.
Thanks for the quick cache double oh frog.

I was heading up towards Cooloolabin to hunt for a puzzle cache and I noticed that I would pass by a few of this series on the way.
I have done a cache on this bridge before. It was pretty quiet out here this morning. One muggle up at the BBQ and I just had to wait for two others to cross before I was able to look for the cache.
A nice quick find and the clue noted.

I have to admit that I did attempt this cache 2 days ago. But after quickly looking EVERYWHERE I had come up empty handed. I only had 5 minutes to find this cache. That time had run out and I thought that I would attempt this cache again, which was today.
I shot one of the CO's a message and asked if I was looking in the right spot and was informed that I was and told to look a little harder .
I don't know how or why or what, but today, as soon as I walked out to where the GPSr had taken me last time... I FOUND found cache within seconds. I swear black and blue that it was not here last time, lol!!!
Thanks for the cache double oh frog. I don't know how long the cache will last here as I have been here when Council have come to unlock the rails, which drops them on the the bridge to allow the creek to flood and not bring down the fencing with it... That water really knows how to pass though here.

Almost certain where this cache should be hidden but unsuccessful. Previously logged as found three times only 6 days previously .Could cache have gone missing? [O:]
What a nice little spot along the old road the geogranny a bit nervous of my efforts to make the grab.
Found with dahumbug on the catchment trail adventure. This area is familiar to us and it was another nice quick find. Good spot, easy with the hint. And now we have our next clue so it's time to head for #4 on the trail.

Number 3 for CoolumRoo and I on a late Friday afternoon run. I have a waypoint for Native Dog Flat only metres away so I knew exactly where to come. I have been to this bridge many times and even looked at placing a cache in a similar spot, or one of those trees back in the park.
Although this is the Maroochy River the flow is still only gradual at this stage.
Thanks double oh frogs, another clue noted

Had a good look but unfortunately there was some shady looking muggles lurking nearby. Will come back to find this one!
Travelled on to this one and out to the bridge that I have visited B4 looking for a now archived cache, luckily I knew approximately where to look so it was a quick find . I have seen water flow above this bridge when we have a wet event on the Sunshine Coast.
Signed logsheet 10:30 am and replaced all as found.
1 x TB Visit.

Today was the day to add some smilies to my map. This Catchment Series took me to a couple of places on the coast that I have never seen before.
It's been years since I have been in this park. I walked along the bridge and followed the hint....Wow clever attachment.

After the morning school run and a walk at Mooloolaba I decided to head off and check out the Catchment Series of caches that had recently been published.
This was the next in the series and after parking nearby it was a short stroll to GZ. The cache was soon located and retrieved and I ventured off a bit more to be out of sight while I got the clue for the final and signed the log.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

#1 for us in the Catchment trail series. Well done to the home school kids (and their parents) for putting together this great educational trail.
Out quickly after dropping the kids to the school bus and set off for an expedition to do this new series this morning. So lucky to have all these new caches published right before our day off.
This one was sort of closest to home so we headed here first. Located the pedestrian bridge and parked near a council van (maybe a dog catcher) parked with the engine running and no-one in it. We ventured over the bridge and spied some muggles in the middle of the creek, maybe from the nearby caravan park. Once locating the cache position from the other side, I made a quick grab while J distracted the muggles by taking photos. We took off with it across to the other side of the river to sign out of sight. Excited to find that we were first! Yay!!
Took the cool wooden FTF geocoin. Thanks!!
We waited till the muggles had moved on and then replaced in peace.
Now off to the next closest one on the trail...
