The "conservation site" has been handed over to the developers for on-going management. Site is now stripped along with the cache and the sign to which it was attached.
Found this on the way to the gym. But by the time that I was coming back the cache (and the sign that it was attached to) had disappeared. The trees in the park are in the process of disappearing and the paddock will be gone soon.
This one is reportedly gone now. I will check it out tomorrow but it will likely be archived due to the hiding spot MIA.
Through the smoky haze it was a quick find on New Years Eve! Our first geocache out of New South Wales.
Stayed in the Little National Hotel last night (amazing hotel) and didn't even realise this cache was here until this morning. Would never have thought twice about this plot of land if you hadn't brought me here. Very sad about the development but can't say I'm surprised.
Didn't have a pen so took a photo of the log. TFTC

Had to abandon my first attempt due to muggles waiting for the bus - at this time if the year!
Shame about the impending development. So much for conserving biodiversity.
I'm glad I got here to see it, even though it looks a bit sad being so dry.

Found with my Mum on Christmas Day for our post lunch walk (and her first cache). TFTC!
A morning jog from cache to cache and this was the first find - quick and easy. Interesting protest message on the information panel. tftc
Looked all over and couldn't find it. Is it true what the sign says and that this once conserved grassland is going to be developed too.
Found the cache on the ground but it's back in place now. What a strange site - it looks like all the other open spaces in Canberra. TFTC
Just opposite of my hotel:-). Quiet place on a quiet sunday. Logbook is almost full. TFTC!
Wished I’d been staying in that hotel opposite. The area looked. Dry hot n dry today.
Thanks StrangeTrousers and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

My first Canberra cache! Yay!! Nice easy one and so much space for inner city area. TFTC
What a great little history lesson this was. It's completely odd to see this place here and now I know why. Tftc
Staying at a hotel near by we decided to head out for a short walk before going to find a place for dinner. This cache was much easier than expected and found within less than 2 minutes.

Nice quick find after a gym session. Didn't have a pencil with me to sign, but do have photo of the cache if requested
Easy find! We could spot it from a few metres away however so we made sure it was fully out of site! TFTC
Quick find. I’m visiting from Perth. Thanks for the cache and for highlighting this conservation area.
As I drove past this patch of land I thought "oh, they're going to put another big building in here," but that's because it's the norm in Sydney for every empty space to be filled in with a new multi-story building. When I arrived on site and read the sign, I was relieved to see that this space was all about conservation. I found the container on the ground when I arrived but replaced it into a safe spot after log signing duties were completed.
YAY - I found York Park Conservation Area . I was on a very brief stay in Canberra to spend time with family. Just had enough time to duck off and find a cache or two. Thanks StrangeTrousers for setting up this cache - I loved reading about the significance of this piece of land and why it's still vacant. My fingers are crossed for it staying vacant. In the end - this was a quick find. It took longer to pull the log book out than to find it. Thanks again.
PS: The Troll Dolls (TN6TR0) were with me when I found this cache.

Out for a Sunday breakfast and found this little cache! Quite an odd spot for a conservation site and would not have known this was even here! TFTC
Staying in a nearby hotel. Took an evening stroll for a nice quick find. TFTC
I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out around Canberra with Di Morgan and newbie signing as XC, picking up some hides, after attending this mornings event. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number of good finds.
Thanks StrangeTrousers for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Out geocaching while attending the MEGA, and what a great time we had with all the events and opportunities for meeting other geocachers and getting out there to find some.
This was one we came to find and thank you StrangeTrousers for placing it for us and others to find. Signed as Team Brolgas.

Visiting Canberra for the Clear Waters Mega and caching as part of Team Brolga. Thoroughly enjoying the whole Canberra experience, the glorious weather and the beautiful countryside, so different from the coast. Thank you for placing, copy and paste logs in no way detract from my enjoyment and appreciation. Nice to have the opportunity to find a few urban caches.
Outnabout caching with Wollaston whilst attending the Clear Waters Mega. TFTC
Return trip to Canberra after 31 years (on our honeymoon). This time attending Clearwater Mega event at Queanbeyan. Found with Team Outnabout. TFTC StrangeTrousers.
This was a sparse area. Not sure what I expected but I didn’t realise I was here till my gps beeped. Had a rest while i logged. All in good condition here
Down in Canberra for the running festival, am decided to go on a bit of a walk in the late afternoon. Wasn't intending on caching, but when I saw this so close by I thought why not. An easy find, but I definitely learnt something new - tftc!
We are currently in Austraila on a holiday.
A quick find. Nice container. TFTC
Co-ords were good and the cache in good condition.
Geocaching takes you to new exciting places and is life changing.

Thanks for the adventure.

Dropped by this one tonight. Yes, it's gone. I put the old one back. Cache on.
We spent 45 min and checked every conceivable spot, but unfortunately no luck; we are visiting from Washington DC
Had some spare time en route to a Do in town so spent an enjoyable sunny afternoon picking up a few local caches. Quick wander and grab on my way past.
Dropped by this one today to have a quick check. It's getting a bit crappy, might have to replace it soon. Still some space in the log book and dry. Cache on.
Grabbed the tb.

Tank you for this easy cache, just in front of our hotel. During our trip from Sydney to Melbourne.

This one has been on my to do list since I first started caching, as it's across the street from work, but it's always been way too busy during my lunch breaks. However, I had to come into the office this fine Sunday evening (just to do some printing, thankfully), so I took advantage of the quiet street & got that smiley. TFTC!
A quick and easy find which is what I needed after 2 days of conferencing at a local hotel.
