After attending a CITO, a group including Kittykatch, Joolay, Aykayem, Search4, Domsky, Contesta, and FurfacesLL decided to clear out a few geocaches that had been sitting around waiting to be found. We picked a lovely day for a walk and to get some fresh air. All logs were signed Tuggeranong Trekkers or TT. Thanks for the placement JayOmegaTor
Nice quick find. Great views. After a very cold and chilly and foggy start to the day its turned into a fabulous winter day. Perfect for a walk over Tuggeranong Hill. Signed as Tuggeranong Trekkers. Thanks for getting me out and about JayOmegaTor
Find # 1253127/7/2024 Accompanied by Search4, Domsky, KittyKatch, Joolay, Aykayem, FurfacesLL. Great company. Signed as TT for Tuggeranong Trekkers. Some great views! All caches found, and logged. Thanks JayOmegaTor for SIAMESE GUMS
Caching around East Coast and a bit inland for a while. TFTC. A nice straight forward multi. Quick find at GZ.
Spontaneous venture up tuggers hill this morning. Super fun and easy multi to start the day. Tftc!
Out and about with fitzy_1965 today. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.fitzy had already solved this one so nice to knock it off today.
34,135. Found with minniek during a 'stroll' up and down Mt. Tuggeranong. It's been a few years since I tackled this mountain. With a handful of new-ish caches, plus the ones I already have but minniek doesn't, we decided to grab them today. We parked in the convenient park just at the start of the trail and then headed up up up. It actually isn't that far just steep and the trail can be a bit slippery. After finding one cache I already had we continued up to this one. I'd had GZ for this one sorted since it was published - so a long time ! The find was nice and quick once we got to GZ. The container needs a bit of maintenance although its mostly out of the weather. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on up.Thanks JayOmegaTor !!
After a quiet week of minimal caching, it was great to reach the weekend. With no event first, a group formed to head up Tuggeranong Hill. Different people needed different sets of the caches along the way, but there was plenty for everyone. Today the team was Gliss!, LuckyL10n, Aykm, Toy Hunters, Isopeda, mtrax and Albida. We signed a June Tuggeranong Hill or JTH. It was a cool clear day and only windy on the southwest flank. Having completed the caches on the trail, we headed off trail to three haunted caches on the way back. Some very great caches in that series.
The projection worked out, but I went the wrong way around the tree and was beaten to the find.
Thanks for the cache JayOmegaTor

Found with Albida33, MTrax, LuckyL10n, Toyhunters, Isopeda, and Aykayem. The weather was lovely today and it as a great day for caching. We walked from Callister Cres up to the Trig and meandered back along the Theodore side of the hill finding a few of the amazing Dwarf Exploder constructions. All caches were quickly found and signed as " JTH" June Tuggeranong Hill. TFTC.

#17942 - 9:35:00 AM; Invited to join a small group of dedicated local cachers on a trek to the top of Tuggeranong Hill this morning. The weather was fine, although the wind did come up quite early. All up 9 from 9, including an adventure lab and a multi for me this morning. Logs signed JTH for June Tuggeranong Hill group, which was made up of myself, albida33, aykayem, mtrax, isopeda, toy hunters and Gliss. A nice morning for a wander up the hill, which had been on the "to do" list for quite some time, so nice to finally conquer it today. This was a fun little multi and a nice addition to today's haul! TFTC JayOmegaTor
Out with a group of 7 Intrepid cachers (Aykayem LuckyLion Albida33 Mtrax Gliss! Toy Hunter and me) tackling some of the caches on Tuggeranong Hill. Signing as JTH (June Tuggeranong Hill).

Signed as June Tuggeranong Hill (JTH) with a crew consisting of me, albida33, Aykayem, GLISS!, isopeda, LuckyL10n and mtrax. Lovely walk up a mountain that I haven't been up in years, it's quite steep but very worth the views. A beautiful tree at WP1 and soon enough we had the cache in hand (albida33 walked right past it initially). Good camo for a well sized cache. TNLNSL. TFTC JayOmegaTor!
Out picking up some caches around Tuggeranong Hill today. What an enchanting tree! TFTC!
What a cool little natural bench! Wouldn't have found this if not for the cache. And a nice easy little multi. TFTC!
Nice and straightforward multi, with some beautiful trees and views.

#1707 After making my way direct from GC23KCM I need a break so did as described and took a seat. Made my projection and headed off for a quick find at GZ. Thanks JayOmegaTor. A different approach for a Multi.
After a better night sleep at Condor I am ready for the important day. Hopefully the weather is going to be better than the last few days. Into Namadgi today for an event and a walk. This will put me on 20000 !! Woohoo, good milestone that I am proud of. After that caching my way home for a good night sleep in a bed.

Limited to where I can get to so took the opportunity today to revisit a close-by hill. Having wandered up on one of the lesser trails it was a great spot to sit and admire the views. Found cache without issue - old-school, I like it. Gets a fav from me.
I love this! The puzzle was unique, quick and has epic views, what more could you want. Thanks! Fav point awarded
Another climb up this hill today with the GeoPup to get a waypoint for an AL I'm doing. This was a nice simple multi to do on the way up. Cache found at final GZ with no issues. Thanks JayOmegaTor.
The seat and pointer rocks are pretty over grown with nettle. But still easy enough for my 6 year old to complete. Great location. We left a toy story soldier.
Today I teamed up with AngelG27 on a geomission to grab a loop of caches on Tuggeranong Hill and also get a cardio workout in the process. It was hard yakka going up the steep bits, but I really enjoyed it especially with the added bonus of spotting some wildlife, the views and a plethora of beautiful native wildflowers in bloom
We made the steep ascent from another nearby down below and as we headed to the Siamese Gums, we were amazed at the height of the Patterson's Curse. The place is swamped with it so that made trying to see the rocks quite difficult, but soon spotted where I needed to be so off I went to make the find. Easy find at GZ although a big female huntsman spider is guarding her egg sac under the camo! Luckily she was quite docile so I was able to retrieve/replace the cache with no trouble and I respectfully put her back when done. Hopefully she moves out before the next finder!
Thanks for the neat multi, JayOmegaTor Fave awarded!

Great views from up here. I arrived as the Paterson's Curse was taking over for Spring. Surprisingly beautiful. Thanks for the nice hide.
Came back here to revisit my first cache find and look for others I've missed, and also found an ACT rock. Makes the walk up here worth it and is a really good feeling at the end of a bad week
This was quite an enjoyable multi! Something a little different and unique to most multi's, it was fun to complete the little exercise of sitting on the seat, lining up the rocks, and then walking over to where GZ was located! Who doesn't love a very simple offset multi either? But then again I enjoy most multi's for different reasons!
Thanks JayOmegaTor, great location and a good cache in good condiiton

What better way to spend my last day of 39 than to climb Tuggeranong Hill. Came up here with the Geodog and QuirkyRaven for a lovely walk.
This was our first find for the day. Great way to look at a tree.
Thank you for the cache.

Found with my mum while on a pleasant afternoon walk up Tuggeranong Hill - it was great to get out of the confines of the indoors after studying inside all day. This was our first find for the day. I've been up this hill, or rather mountain, many times before but haven't attempted the caches up here. Great views over the Lanyon valley - we could spot our house all the way down in Conder. What an interesting tree indeed - I wonder how it grew like this and how you would measure its basal area! Quick walk over to GZ and made the nice find. Our thanks to JayOmegaTor!

The start of clearing Tuggeranong hill happened today. Using the advantage of a public holiday.
I really like this one. Good Job JayOmegaTor. Multis are hard to place in the woods. This cache I think should more be a field puzzle rather than a Multi but your choice. Couldn't find the "Bench" until reading the past logs. Then Found the tree and cache. Log signed and replaced TFTC!

Soooo, with all the "self- isolation" going on, Aquilus1 and my original plans for going further afield went up in smoke, but that was OK as we ended up going around Tuggernaong cleaning up the caches here and there that we were missing. There were a few that both of us had not found, and quite a few just one of us had logged previously.
Tuggeranong Hill was a feature, and I have to say I dont understand why it only gets the moniker "hill'... it felt much like Mt Taylor and the contour lines tell me they are roughly the same height.
We even found a letterbox, ammo can and all, with a PROPER stamp! none of this kids stamp set rubbish we have seen of late...
I was a little sad as I felt like a Goodberries today... I havent had one for maybe 10 years, its certainly been a while...but they are closed for the entire weekend. Always the way hey.
Sorry for the generic log, we did so many today....

This was a good one. Contains tissues which are worth their weight in gold at the moment (left in place). Middle GeoKid found it after following instructions.
Read the clues to the kids in a pirate voice. They were stoked to find it!!! Thanks!
Cache 6059 on 13 Mar 2020.
Decided to have a day off today and what better things to do than find a cache or two! I had been eyeing off the multi on this hill for a while and figured with the cooler weather and blue skies today was the day. Bobl27 kindly walked with me and may or may not log these caches later!
This cache had a DT combination I was keen to find, so we kept walking steadily towards the posted coordinates. A great old tree and views from here.
Thanks JayOmegaTor for the cache and the fun! FP for the experience!

Found with AngelG27 on a lovely stroll in this side of the hill. Lots of kangaroos and views from up here. Great specimen tree! TFTC
How awesome is that tree. Thankyou so much for sharing with us.
And what a unique multi. Not a multi fan myself. But I liked this one
Definitely a favourite from me.

We've taken an interest in the Canberra Mapping Challenge, which means walking the GeoPoodle in different suburbs every weekend which is fun, and makes for variety and discovering new places is always good - today we headed south, hoping that by climbing a big hill which borders 3 suburbs, that might get them all.
So, Tuggeranong hill - it's big, steep and rocky.
This was the second cache, and I didn't intend to do it - solving multi's while climbing steep mountainsides on humid days doesn't really work for me - then I saw the word `seat` in the description - and it suddenly sounded a whole lot better So, we sat down in the shade, enjoyed the view, relaxed and recovered, and then since we had already started, we located the cache and signed the log. A bonus, and a great spot for a rest which we would otherwise have missed.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache JayOmegaTor.

Decided to wander up Tuggeranong Hill for the first time in ages. After living in tuggeranong for 20 years and having moved out a couple of years ago it was strange and nostalgic seeing all of those hills again. I've climbed them all, but the view from amongst them is totally different. I noticed that some people who have claimed the find have not signed the log. A trend which was to continue.
Thanks JayOmegaTor

Having found the steepest possible route to the top of Tuggeranong Hill, I was happy to take the comparatively easy route via the dirt road down to this cache. At WP 1 everything lined up nicely, and at gz the cache was easily located.

Parked car in Conder, walked 3kms uphill to find this, pretty easy to find though, really nice spot
Found 6:28 pm with girlfriend. Late, after midday decided to get out and find a cache or two but I also wanted to find a Geocaching Australia item and the Trig on Tuggeranong hill was one of them. So this seemed to be a candidate but boy the climb is certainly going to be tiring. The girlfriend was ok to go and so we set off, it was only later nearing our start point that I found she had a poor choice of footwear with scuffs or slippers type shoes. This cache was next on our climb after an earlier cache and checking first the multi nearby. As we approached the multi GZ we could see what the description was referring too. We sat down as described and worked out our destination which seemed to be fairly obvious given the tree described. As we wandered the area we did try to work out which part of the view was Gordon but it seemed a tree was blocking the significant part. At the final GZ located the cache fairly quickly and signed the log.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Having climbed up and up and up to reach the top and have such a unique and even somewhat comfortable seat was very welcomed. The cool breeze was nice as was the view. Really enjoyed the multi, a bit different but in a good way, simple and fun. Just loved the way while sitting there it all lined up and the seat really was something worth highlighting. Thanks for the cache JayOmegaTor a big favourite.
F(H)ound It! #2034 - @ 2:15 PM
I climbed to the top of the hill, up the West side, which was hard work. Then I went for a cache that meant I went down and back up again. Soooo I was really happy that this multi did NOT involve me climbing to the top again.
But seriously, this is a lovely little multi, with really imaginative use of the natural resources at hand. The trees, the rocks, the rest on the "seat" - all marvellous.
Thanks for the multi JayOmegaTor, nice one

Such interesting trees, they provide a nice natural frame for a photo. Thanks JayOmegaTor
Feeling too lazy for Namadgi so took skyline track to the shops and pick up some caches along the way - tftc!
Simple, elegant multi. I loved it! Tree - amazing! And a nice stroll from the seat to GZ and an excellent way of using your surroundings! Fav point from me. Tftc!!!
Glad to see a visit by Googong Grade 3. This is precisely the age group that this cache was designed for. I hope they enjoyed the walk and find.
Saturday 8 October 2016 - an overcast cool Spring afternoon at 20 degrees. Rode bike and walked for 1h 46m over 3hrs for 6km to find 10 from 10 caches AND just surpassed 2,000 cache finds - yeah! Enjoyed watching the kangaroos and seeing a large echidna that wondered across the path. Thx p2p. TFTC Bronnie_1990.
A nice spot. Cache found OK after reading the description more carefully...
Thanks
Thanks
Found today on a Meet Up with led by DarkSideDan. We walked up the hill and grabbed the trig before heading back down to pick up a couple of multis and trads. Stopped off here to grab a cool multi - love the way you have laid this one out using the natural features. I would love to give it a FP but have none to give. COOL CACHE - thanks a lot
Ok ... what happens when a Geocacher organises a walk up Tuggeranong Hill and 2 other Geocachers and 3 muggles attend? - caching, of course
The muggles were happy to stop for a couple of rests on the way up/down so the 3 of us found (or in the case of the walk leader - revisited) a couple of quick caches on the walk (and visited the trig at the top , then we found 4 more after the official walk ended and the muggles left ... Then Darkside Dan had to leave to run an afternoon walk (which was to an area dogs were not allowed in, and I had my dog with me and KittyKatch also left ... so what did I do? - ate my banana, grabbed my apple to take with me, and the dog and I went for another walk and found 4 more caches (which included one we had to walk back up to the top of the hill to find!) and started another multi but got stuck at a missing? WP for that ... 13 year old Golden Georetriever is now sound asleep beside me on the lounge, and his 53 year old person is feeling rather tired too - lol (we got home rather late - we stopped somewhere else and went for another walk on the way home, to not find (grrr) a mystery cache that I had solved the night before.
TFTC - this was the second find (grabbed a trad on the way up, the trig at the top (GA), and this one on the way down) - was rather fun, and a nice tree(s) seat with a nice view
I dropped off a couple TBs, because I have been carrying them around for a while (time for them to travel with someone else

Yet another trip down to Tuggeranong this Sunday, this being the area of my focus currently. Today was around Tuggeranong Hill. It was a long day with plenty of hills covering about 15Km on foot. Unsurprisingly, I'm a bit footsore tonight. I parked in Theodore and headed off armed with lunch and an ambitious plan. The weather was good, perhaps a little on the cool side with Spring less than a week away.
I've never seen trees joined like this. How bizarre ! I sat and contemplated the final location and went for the short walk to gz. A quick find.
TFTC JayOmegaTor.

Accompanied with ALL7 , beautiful day but bit windy, great hide and love it. It was good fun. Nice seat and view. Fav for me. Thanks JayOmegaTor
A morning hike up and around Tuggeranong Hills to grab the remaining caches we couldn't get last time. Nice cool weather made for a relatively easy walk, and despite not finding a few (muggled...) we had a great time. Even the woofer enjoyed herself.
We loved the location of this one! Could have sat on the "throne" all day.

Another hill I've been up for caches before, but it's a neat hill with some great views......and the cache was a multi.....so what was not to like.
Parked in the usual spot and started the trek, arriving at the Siamese Gums about 15 minutes later. Took a seat, worked what required and then wandered over to make the find. All up a bit of fun and something a little different.
Thanks JOT.....great looking trees...fav point for showing me......

A long day at work, and I needed to blow off a bit of stress - what better way than to climb a nearby hill? On my way up the track I noted there was an interesting sounding cache - I just had to check out these Siamese Gums! What an astounding pair, and the bonus was the nearby cache - thanks for bringing me to this spot JayOmegaTor
I could find this cache based on the description alone... a wonderful little find, that seat-tree! Thanks for sharing it with us!
4642. A nice warm wander up and around the hill with Relish64 and the geohound. A quick break at the very impressive tree and then a quick find at our chosen GZ.
Thanks for the cache, a very neat little multi.

Finally got around to finding this one that has been on my to do list since it got published. Excellent views up here and a lovely spot. Enjoyed the cleverness of the multi part and for that I am giving it a fav point. Thanks for the cache JayOmegaTor.
We climbed this hill today, wondering what a Siamese gum could possible be....We sat down at WP1, and found our bearings, then it was just a short stroll to GZ, where the cache was found snug and safe in its hidey hole. Thanks for highlighting such a beautiful area.
We loved the views from u here,
