While doing a little sightseeing around town via way of the local geocaches we had a go at this multi. We stealthily found the first wp and noted the co-ords. We headed to GZ and found that to be an interesting place with a lot of old people and history.Took us a while to locate the container as the GPS was pointing to another part of the fence about 8m away. All good in the end, TFTC
First waypoint was easily found. At the GZ I had to venture into the brush and saw it lying on the ground. I placed it in a more accessible place. Definitely needs some attention. Tftc
Heading to Yamba for the day we made a detour into Tucabia to complete this multi. The first waypoint was quite muggly so we had to take our time in the search. Eventually we had the final coordinates in hand where we had to take a small drive to GZ. Once there it took quite sometime searching for the micro as nature is slowly taking over. Thanks Baby Birt for the multi placement.
S1: Easy, I bought a pie and had lunch. Punched in the Coords and gasped! No, I need to break my rule of Geocaching and back track! Should I or shouldn’t I?
S2: Dread, I DNF’d ‘here’ earlier. I would have felt more confident if I had of found the previous Geocache. Baby Birt you must have had cold shivers this afternoon as I was definitely walking over your grave!

We found the first spot fairly easily and even recovered it without any issues, however some ants had taken up residence inside the container, complete with eggs, and the lid was very hard to get off. We finally managed, but by then a big bunch of cars had come and surrounded the area, making replacement difficult.
Once at GZ we had a good walk around before zeroing in on GZ. Took a little bit of a search, but we managed to find the container in good condition.
Thanks for the fun little multi cache!

Clearly blind as a bat last time I was here as I spotted quite easily this time. How annoying. . Overthinking it again. Oh well name is on the logbook now...tftc

I found some spiders amd some thorns bit no contrainer for me today . Time to move on
The weather was not kind to us yesterday, and saw us unable to get out and do much other than a trip to the movies and time spent in Grafton.
Today we ventured out with an open mind as to how the caching would go after all the rain but we ended up having a reasonable successful day on a couple of loops north towards Maclean. The ground at most GZs wasn't too bad much to our surprise. We had a number of DNFs and a few areas where we barely looked because obvious of obvious damage from recent floods.
Another good day!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Baby Birt.

Today was planned for a short morning caching day, in particular to go to Tucabia to grab a few there and any other along the way that we still had to get.
This is our third time here, the first it was missing, the second with grandaughter left without the smiley, and finally today, grabbed it. Really not sure how we missed it last time, we must have been totally cache blind, or the cache has moved around since our last visit, either way, a turned into a

Total Cache Finds 13367,
Another one that I couldn't find last time. This time was different, although I did find it on the ground. Love cemetery caches and this one being a multi was a bonus. Many thanks
We found stage 1 on our last day out in this area and completed the find today. TFTC
Stage one filled with ants. Stage 2 spiders. Always wanted to stop here, perfect reason to. Thank you
We found easily enough. Parked in the shade Took Nothing Left nothing sl with earthly65

After a morning riding ferries and bikes, we returned for another lot of caches and exploring this area, one I've driven through a lot, but never ventured off the Pacific Highway. Our main target this afternoon was to finish off the Glenugie-Tyndale Trail, which we did (with one pesky DNF)....
2020 was to be our year of 'avoiding multis less vehemently than before', and turned into a very different year for a number of reasons! We started off struggling, with me blindly missing WP1 despite having my hands and eyes within centimetres of it in the first 10 seconds of the search. We eventually found it - it has to be on this thing!
I was a bit surprised at the distance to GZ, so double checked everything - we've shot off in the wrong direction on account of typos before.
Samuel spotted the cache at GZ on approach, which was good, as the structure there looked like it had crannies..... TFTC!

Found today while on a small cache drive, had an awesome time out finding these caches.

We have now moved to Grafton staying at the Grafton Historical Car Club.
Todays trip was planned to go to Minnie Waters then onto Wooli, Finding caches along the way.
4 years ago we did not find WPT 1 today we located it but we were geading in the opposite direction so decided to look for it on the way home.
The log of Fergclan helped with locating the cache.
Thanks for placing this cache Baby Birt

Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1691
Out having a family drive and had to come via here as I had missed this one on a previous occasion, today an easy find at WP1 then in to the shop for fuel, coffee and a snack, great shop, then off to the cache, the tree had nearly swallowed it but we got it,no worries.TFTC.
Nice view from here, dead centre of God's own country. Some very healthy meat-moos watching us. TFTC
An awesome day geocaching in three of Aus’s cool suburbs. Thanks so much for the great hides. Ran around with geobabe today finding caches everywhere to solve the mystery. Log to follow
a nice little multi bringing me to a nice little place. it appears as though the final cache has been replaced recently, as i signed a new log sheet. thanks
Our last for the day and unfortunately we came away empty handed, searched again for over an hour and committed 5 hours for just 4 caches in this area, it was a shame that this one eluded us. Read all the previous logs and didn't want to resort to a PAF. UNFORTUNATELY attempting to gain a differing perspective on the GZ I broke a branch, thoroughly check, but no cache container trapped. Will be in the Grafton area for a week and we might be able to come back this way before we leave.
Another one that was too good for us. I hunted high and low for about ten minutes, being mindful of the barbed wire. It was getting very hot by this time and as Ulmarra was only a few minutes down the road we decided to call it quits and go visit our old friend. We'll be back another time to revisit the DNF's and finish off the trail.
Well to start with, the hamburgers at tucabia store were absolutely amazing - you need wipes or a bath or something to eat them, but as for this cache - Nudge74 and I searched and searched and searched ... my hair's a mess, hate barb wire and farmers' friends - and it wasn't worth the drive out to this one... 100% success today until here - not happy.... your hint made no sense ...
Found wp1 quickly but final cache done my head in.
Think the difficulty and GZ hint are not very helpful

Baby Birt, that's me, did a maintenance run today (10.5.18) and found all caches in reasonably good order, thanks to previous geocachers. Not too much litter about for me to pick up.
So please ignore previous log. WP1 is easy peasy like the rest of this trail. Happy geocaching everyone.

Stopped after getting caught by the very sharp barbed wire twice. Be careful it’s amongst the bushes
We are on our way to attend a geocaching event at Di Morgans Port Macquarie. We enjoyed doing this cache. Nice hide. Thanks to Baby Birt for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Only loaded caches from Tyndale to Tucabia now we are going to ride past some to find the Multi. DAM!

Nice little multi, and yes had to be very stealthy at WP1..

I headed back to Tucabia this morning.
And on the way I had to drop by the shop again,
to find the first waypoint ... again !!
Yep !! Somebody on me caching team of one,
had put the coords for GZ into the GPS,
and probably hit the "back" button instead of the "save" button
So a detour was in order from me planned route.
Not far, just a handful of kilometres
Nearing GZ I saw where I was headed
And remembered driving by this spot yesterday,
wondering why there were no caches hidden there [:o]
Now I know,
and wandered in.
Somewhere down the back I found a shady spot that showed promise of a cache find
And after a bit of faffing about,
I spied a cache as I was backing out of another awkward spot

Found at 1:07 PM GAFF4/1.
I think we were a bit shy last time or the structure was not there or there were too many muggles about. Today we walked straight up to the first WPT and grabbed it. Not sure what has gone on over the last 12 months - but it was an easy find today with good co-ords.
Then off to the final and we were wondering why it was so far away. Had we entered the final co-ords incorrectly. However as we approached we spotted a very familiar caching location and knew that all was well. Headed over to GZ and I kid you not - found it in the first spot that p-pprass looked - has to happen from time to time [^]
Thanks Baby Birt.

Spent some time looking for family (past), no luck yet. Took some time to find. Thanks
Every day is a good day to Geocache. Stage 1 good, bought water at shop, stage 2 final also good. Maybe think about renaming this to Tucabia Dead Centre, I like that. Nice cruise to GZ. Hot hot hot.

TFTC, after getting advice from the C.O about the WP1 cache being in a slightly different spot to where I was looking I returned today for a quick find of both WP1 and the final cache.
I spent 15 minutes searching around in the hedge for no luck, felt very awkward as there were people about.
We started to look for this cache last year. I hunted for waypoint 1 while geohubby went into the store for something. I can't remember what he went in for now, but I do remember he came out with icecreams that had to be eaten urgently because of the very hot weather. Due to said weather we decided to go to GZ on another visit and today was the day. Arriving at a familiar scene we were intrigued to see the angle of placements here. Without getting the compass out I assume that they are facing east. The hunt took longer than expected but we were gratefully signing the log before too long. Thanks for this cache, an older one of yours Baby Birt, and thanks too to Magpiecottage for bringing us here. Cheers and happy caching!
Haha, we had commented on this area as we drove into the township as we know another fellow cacher who specializes on hiding caches in these types of places! Now we know why they haven't got one here! Mr. Herbz made rather a lucky find and put his hand on it pretty much straight away whilst Mrs. Herbz was looking in totally the wrong direction. TFTC Baby Birt.
Found @6:45:00 PM.
Grabbed WP1 while the shop was closed late today then off to the final.
Boy, was that hard to spot at 6:45pm
Glad to put this one to bed
Thanks to Baby Birt for the cache

We were a bit apprehensive about attempting this one but DiamonJs soon had WP1 information in hand and then we were off to GZ and after a short search we signed the log - then went back to the shop later for an ice cream. Thanks Baby Birt.
Looked at this one before but never seriously considered doing it as I read about the knife and my brother looked at me in horror as to what is this hobby you do. Today we are back and it was in the first place I guessed, grabbed the coordinates and we headed out to GZ, dam another spot I had earmarked for a cache, oh well it has one. TFTC Going to give this a favourite point as the whole trail of your caches deserves a FP.
CO has checked on WP1 of Tacabia Village and found it to be firmly in place but very wet. Renewed and replaced container.
New hint to avoid muggles is to park on roadside immediately centre of hedge. Your vehicle provides some degree of privacy while you retrieve cache containing final co-ords. Easy peasy really.

Had a brief look but for such a small village it's a popular spot so decided to leave for another day
It was raining quiet heavy when we were searching for WPT1 but no luck for us here. We did PAF but because of the weather we decided to call it quits.
We did buy a very delicious chicken from the shop, so all was not lost.
Thanks

8.00pm on a dark moonless night was a great time to look for this multi. Wp1 was unexpectedly found quickly.....very occasionally it happens and surprises us no end. So with new co-ordinates we continued on to GZ. And what would be our chances of another easy find in this haven of endless hides? Probably nil, but we started looking. Before we could get into a no-holds-barred search, the torch had caught the unmistakable glint of a cache in its beam. Yay for the Ricoh! A great little multi that was even more fun by doing it at night. TFTC Baby Birt
Nah - this isn't a good spot to place a WP. Too many muggles and too hard to find for a D of just 2.0.. It isn't an easy multi.
No ,too exposed for me to have a serious look, felt a bit uncomfy, out of here.Unfortunate,I like a good multi.Maybe another time.TFTC.B.B.
Can't say I didn't find it really as I didn't get a chance to keep looking. Before I'd finished checking here and there geohubby returned from the shop with an ice cream for me. It was a hot day and I didn't want it to melt so retreated to the air con in the geovehicle before I'd finished looking. However, I did find a long bladed knife hidden in the garden near the sign and we removed that in case it was in preparation to rob the store or something. This is one we can find next time we are down here. But thanks Baby Birt. We'll look forward to it.
Thanks for the cache Baby Birt and Magpiecottage, what a lovely location. This is cache #844 so far for us. Spooky find.
FTF Woot! Woot!
I turn up to the first waypoint. Oh dear, the only place in the whole village with muggles. How am I going to place this one? I go to the shop and buy a drink then sat in the gutter and played with my phone for a bit. Ripper! Co-ords found.
I enter them into my GPS-r. Looks a little far away. The writing is very neat surely I haven't copied them down wrong. I will give it a go anyway. Off I go to the co-ords. As I pull up yes it is a very plausible place for a cache.
I get to GZ. Where is the cache? I look, I look, I look some more. I can't very well claim a first to find the first waypoint. It must be found. I re-look. I look higher. I look lower. I re-look a third time. That wasn't there the first time I looked there! Yay Me! Two FTFs in one day.
Thank you for bringing me to this awesome spot.
