Only 58 likes? It is an amazing adventure! It's a popular spot! There was a family climbing down when we came in. I was a bit at a loss on where to look but couldn't let it go!
Find 6,000! We like to explore something interesting for a millstone and this one was cool. Having visited this area many times, with a geocaching hat on its always a different lens. The taller of us Crackers, made it up and back no problems but was a tad harder for LeeLee. Crackers did all the exploring while LeeLee signed the log. Thanks Darth Briji for creating for us all to enjoy. Cache in good condition. A FP for the experience ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? The Russians were terrified of our invading and very superior force of Tiz13 Roostaman hamfish au.fait and RebelActs. A cautious approach from below, followed by a hilarious entry into the cliff before making the final approach and victorious entry where the final Russian was overcome by our writing skills. The hard part was our retreat which required great care. It was with some considerable relief when I once more was at ground leveland a great feeling of accomplishment . A fantastic group and couldnt ask for a better bunch with mutual care and assistance and help to all of us Sorry I can only award 1 FP
What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. Plans had been made and today we teamed up with Tiz13, au.fait, roostaman and the hamfish to tackle this cache. Have to say this was a mojor effort for me with some major injuries but we all supported each other and helped each other through the obstacles to finally get to GZ and make the find. I was rather proud to have these people as caching companions today. Thanks Darth Briji for the cache. FAV for the adventure.
this is a rip-roaring treasuresometimes as a cache owner, you need to do all the work:craft a themefind a fancy boxcarve out a narrative from the bedrockand other times: the spot does all that work for youthis is such a treasurebuilt on the timeless mantra of: location, location, locationwhat treasure hunter does not want to scale a cliff, burrow through a searchlight and explore an abandoned fort?an adventure in the purest senseon our third visit here, we are happy to finally come away with the treasure trovethanks for bringing us herecracking spot
Found on a short Vic trip with MrsRoosta and friends. We had an excellent adventure around the Geelong area. This was a special start to the day.Met up with a few others and managed to get to the required spot. But then it was a short search and all the names were written in the log. Then came another adventure to return from the dark depths and into the light of day.A great cache worthy of the D/T rating. Fav point added. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cachefor all of us to find, Darth Briji, ***Roostaman***
I had to muster up my own army to attack the Russians this morning, aka, the hamfish au.fait, Rebel Acts, and Rosterman. This time, I came prepared, although my army needed to be reminded about their most important Tott they had either forgotten at home or in the geo mobile. We entered 1 by 1 fanning out to clear the premises, and then It was time to infiltrate and find the enemy information. the hamfish earned his promotion today, finding the cache in record time..Very proud of the motley crew that conquered this cache today...that has been on my wish list for some time.. Favourite point for location location location oh and the cache was cool too.
18/01/2024 9:20:00 AMThe last day of a week long caching trip and I targeted a handful of caches as I made my way home.I attempted this last night beginning my walk from the wrong end and at the wrong altitude, as I followed the Fort Queenscliffe fence line. After realising my mistake when I could see the roof of the structure I was aiming for below, I started to head back when a very frantic security guard arrived thinking I was trying to break into the fort.Part 2 I walked along the beach and made a much easier path, climbed to the wrong point, climbed down, then up to the correct entry point and proceeded to try and locate the cache. After what seemed like ages I was out of places to search and tried to contact a previous finder. Pulled the pin just before 11pm, and headed off to find a campsite somewhere.Part 3 After a good night's sleep my PAF responded and I went off to have another go, finding the tide too high, I went and grabbed a coffee, came back and walked bare foot to the tunnel through the water and made my way in again, which was much easier in daylight.I soon had cache in hand in a place I sure I looked last night.Happy to have my name on the log, great locationAwesome location, Thanks Darth BrijiFind recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
I had an unsuccessful but fun search here. No regrets as I'm now 6 for 10 today...
In the general vicinity for the Geelong Christmas events, Muzza had suggested we reattempt this one as finally, the tides were in our favour. While the tides were good, the pelting rain was a different matter! We had a good search party..Muzza, micaparamedic, Alansee, moonb1 and ConnieandRick. We scrambled in and started our adventure. There were a few places a cache could be located, we were pleased for Muzzas height. Once the cache was located, it was still a bit tricky to get to the log. Once we had signed we all bundled out, back the way we came and were thankful for the ladder Alansee had thought to pack. What an adventure, a favourite from me.Thanks for placing the cache Darth Briji.
I was in the Geelong area for the annual Christmas caching festivities, and to join up with McLookers, Feathertop, ConnieandRick, Micaparamedic, Moonb1 and Alansee to target some special caches in between. This was the first of the special caches. Alansee and I had made an attempt some time ago but the tide wasn't right for us.Fast forward to today. When the events of the day were announced, I checked the tide charts and realised that there was a low tide between the morning coffee event and the lunch event, so a plan was put in place. We had a nice dry walk along the sand to the climb, not withstanding the pelting rain in the wind. Once inside, we made our way to GZ where, after a short search, the cache was found. Opening it took a lot of effort - not sure if it was cross threaded or just seized up, but we got it in the end.I have very much looked forward to visiting this cache and was not disappointed in any way. My thanks for the cache - I'll give it a favourite.
I'd heard of this one whilst up caching in Wangaratta earlier this week and it was one of the main reasons I came to all the Geelong events today. But I didn't fancy getting entry in the rain. Three of the group entered unaided but three, including me, needed a bit more help. Once in, that wasn't anywhere near as claustrophobic as I expected and many eyes made light work of the find. Getting out was interesting too, but glad the tide was still out.
Found with Alansee, muzza, micaparamedic, mclookers and Connie. A heavy drizzle but it was low tide! Many thanks to Alansee for the ladder! Thanks for the cache Darth Briji
Found with Moonb and a handful of other catchers. Glad to have this one finally off the list. Thanks for the cache Darth Briji .
Last night I wS considering what my weekend was going to look like, knowing that I was to work on Sunday. Why not go fishing my geowife suggested, so I got online and booked an afternoon charter with a Queenscliff charter company chasing snapper. A 2 hr drive from home and I was soon heading out through the Rip to try my luck. The weather was amazing, but the fishing a little slow. I still managed a few dinners worth. Back in the car a bit after 6pm and I couldn't help but think of a cache that had eluded me a little ove 2 years ago. This one. The tide was going down, so I parked the car, armed myself with a torch and headed off. Access hasn't gotten any easier, but I soon found myself in the chamber of secrets. Do you ever find yourself over complicating things? Yeah, well this was one of those times. At least twice I had my hand on the cache. Once I even had it in my hand, but didn't inspect it appropriately. So when I eventually hD the ah ha moment it all got a lot easier. Log signed, as good as gold.Great placement Darth Brigi and worthy of a fp. After all, who doesn't love an adventure?
Great fun this one. Took us quite a while to find in the second chamber but agreed reading some logs we got it quick
We hear the Russians may be invading again.. SEND HELP
au.fait brought me to this cache this morning for an attempt to hold the Russians at bay but it wasn't to be, I could do the climb up but the thought of entering on my own and my descent without injury proved to be my un doing, with my Anxiety sky rocketing....hence the send help plea..
If you want company attempting this cache shoot me a msg, the more the merrier...
I shall return.

After a year of watching the Hammer and Sickle blunder thru Ukraine I'd say we are pretty safe here in Aus.
I enjoyed my walk to GZ today.
Then I had the what the thru there moment.
Sadly it was not the right polar aspect.
So on and upwards I went.
Then pulling out the trusty Led Lenser I was soon scouring round GZ.
High and low I looked with no joy.
Well I'll return another day.

In Queenscliff for 3 nights minibreak. I thought we'd cross to Sorrento today but my teenager said no! Surprised I talked her into coming back here It pains us greatly to log this as DNF. Our 1st partial look was last night when Geo-teen said no. We cycled back to our hotel to leave her there & I returned alone. After struggling up most of the cliff, my sensible head switched on & I abandoned my attempt. Today, she agreed to return!! We both climbed the cliff (one of us with significantly less effort than the other) & our hunt began. We were both soooooo determined to find this - knowing we'd not be back. But after a considerable time we had to admit defeat. Soooooo Many thanks for giving us a reason to explore this area. My adrenaline surge eventually subsided after our downclimb..........
Looking at this for "research" and EEEK...see I am yet to log it!! Maybe it was the post Christmas haze...anyway, TOTALLY memorable as I was with the adventurous Crustyvarmint on our "micro adventure" and we took the sails out of a couple of young lads as we emerged from the darkness. Crusty had planned to bring a ladder to make access easier, but we had a strategy and both managed to make our way into the tunnels - getting down was a tad harder. After not really considering one "object" we eventually went back to it for that gleeful BINGO moment! Thank you Darth Briji for bringing us to such an interesting place.A favourite point for all that and the memorable FUN.
I had read some logs about this cache, and thought it would be something I would like to find.
Today, while doing the nearby Whereigo with Ronice88, we found ourselves at this site.
Although I had planned to bring a ladder to make access easier, we gave it a shot and both managed to make our way into the tunnels.
Using the phone torch to proceed, we arrived at the second room and started searching. Finding something that caused me to wonder why it was there, I had a quick inspection and put it aside. We read some previous logs which had us searching high areas, with me supporting Ronice as she did the fossicking.
Eventually I took another look at the previously mentioned object, and there it was. Doh!
This experience took me back to my youth when we would go exploring old gold mines near our home. Great fun.
Thank you Darth Briji. You certainly know some interesting places.
A favourite point coming your way.

Didn't technically find the cache but went through the tunnel into all the rooms. No sign of it where it says it was.
Spending a weekend at pt. Lonsdale to get away from house worries. Tag along and I decided to tackle this one at low tide this morning. We improvised with the torches we had in the car. Thankfully the batteries held out for the duration of the adventure. It did take me a while to scale up to the entrance where the window of entry on the ledge was assessed before heading in head first.
All good going towards GZ where another tight entrance was navigated. Tag along had the target in hand but kept looking. By the time I got in there I suggested that that really was what we were looking for and on closer inspection it was!
Very happily signed in and then braced for the escape from the Russians who had been defeated now.
I was just as slow navigating me way back down to the sandy shore and wouldn't have cared less if the tide came in really fast....
What an adventure this was and it took about 1 hour later and a coffee at the bakery before my legs stopped shaking.
A well deserved FP coming your way ☭ товарищ

T and M of iTEEM had the opportunity to spend a couple of days at Ocean Grove and braved the windy and slightly damp conditions to search out some local caches.
Well this was super fun. We initially attempted from the south, but after a number of close calls with the waves, we retreated and moved on to other hides.
A walk past the pilot station brought us to the northern approach, and with some careful timing, we made it to the installations with dry shoes.
Approaching the access to GZ, we encountered a couple of lads attempting entry, one of them not very successfully. We tried our best to maintain composure whilst observing the ungainly exploits of the would-be explorer, coaxed on by his mate.
Eventually we all made it in, but only we had a decent head torch, so the other pair followed us through the tunnel to the other emplacement.
We'd shared what our purpose was in exploring this facility and our intrigued new companions assisted in a search.
It was one of our muggle acquaintances who found the neat little hide first.
The container was quite wet, but the waterproof log is quite intact and after drying it a little, we signed away.

Caching around Queenscliff with day1976, at lunch time, we realised this cache was recommended to be done at low tide. It was nearly high tide. We went to the nearby virtual and did that, and sussed out the sea level. Well, OK, let's just wing it! So we walked along the sea wall, until we got to the point where there was no sea wall left. Hmmmm.. Well, its not a cold day, let's just take our shoes off and see how far we can get.
We left our shoes at the sea wall, and waded through the water, avoiding any waves. I think it was only ankle deep.
So barefoot, we made it to the tower and climbed up, and squeezed through the hole. Day1976 realised there was lots of broken glass inside, and we might really want those shoes! So he climbed back down, and went to collect the shoes. We put them on our sandy feet minus the socks, and then followed the dark tunnel in. Luckily we still had some phone battery left to use our torches!
Got to the second hole, and day1976 climbed through, and I waited while he had a look around. When it was clear he couldn't find anything, I climbed in too, and we did the piggyback method that other cachers had used. And yes!! I saw something that didn't quite belong, and we signed it. Then back out we went. Much easier to climb down with bare feet so I did that again. The shoes stayed off for the rest of the day, since this was the last cache. We headed back to the sea wall, the tide being higher than when we had been through before! We made it at any rate, and it was so worth it. A fav point from me!

Enjoyed a day out with ilukaperi finding geocaches in Queenscliffe today. I had only ever found a handful of geocaches in Queenscliffe before, so that's why the location was chosen. Plus it was a good day as it had been 16 weeks since my last geocache find. So it was nice to be out again.
Absolutely loved this cache! We did it at high tide because we wanted to add a level of difficulty (or we weren't organized, one of the two). Tightrope walked along the breaker wall and then over the rocks and yes, we got our feet and other parts wet at times too. Made it to the entry only to find broken glass everywhere and we had left our shoes behind.
So, I left ilukaperi there while I once again went back through the high tide to retrieve our shoes and then back AGAIN! Another climb up to the entry point, shoes on and we were off.
Explored the tunnels and got to where we thought was GZ, but after I had searched it reasonably thoroughly I had no cache in my hand. Ilukaperi came in to give me a hand, but still we got nothing.
Only after reading previous logs did we realise that some elevation may be required and even some teamwork. So, I became a ladder and after a bit of move this way, no move that way, Ilukaper put her hand on it.
We signed the log and replaced, what a great cache, a FAV for sure!

CJDenno and I were walking past this location while completing a Wherigo. We initially attempted by one method but however this soon became too challenging to attempt. We then found another entry location and it was at this time we realised we forgot our head torches. However, we did have the torch feature from our smart devices. While this wasn’t great, it certainly provided a satisfactory level of light. We tunnelled our way to GZ and then the search commenced. It certainly is dark, musty and smelly in this area. We soon located the hiding spot and added our names to the damp log. Fortunately, the log sheet is waterproof paper. We added our names to the log sheet and then we returned the cache to its hiding location. The cache, container and log is in pretty good condition considering the damp conditions.

Well this was was a rare opportunity to grab this one. PrezDough and I were completing the Wherigo cache and whilst he was focussed on the Wherigo, I decided to check the app. This showed up and we had to be in the vicinity of it. Not having head torches, I was sceptical on this one anyway with our nil-preparation.
We initially tried the method indicated on the hint, but soon found this access blocked by a wall. Now if I was skinnier, I probably would’ve given it a crack. PrezDough didn’t feel comfortable on his own, so we decided to step down from this attempt.
Undeterred, we continued with our Wherigo quest around this area.
I soon spied another possible entry hole and thought I had the mettle to get up. Ok… let’s do it. I sent up PrezDough first as he is shorter and probably couldn’t get the grip onto the required hand holds. I then had to scramble up myself and we were both perched on the edge.
I went I first and helped PrezDough through.
Now it was a test of how good the iPhone torch can be. We soon started searching the initial chamber with no luck, so a bit further in a spied the tunnel (hint fact). We made our way in here and then it required some more climbing and into the final area of GZ.
I’m sure this was the area. So a search for about 10 minutes didn’t propel anything capable of the cache.
I then started reaching around and soon enough got hold of something that didn’t feel like it’s been there since WW2.
Sure enough, the cache was in hand and soon signed. It was wet,but rite-in-the-rain paper dries off on clothing. Returning the cap was a challenge as sand has penetrated the thread. Finally a bit off the spot cleaning sorted that. Cache returned.
Now I wanted to get out of here as I felt like a burglar and PrezDough agreed. I was also conscious of the tides and we still had a Wherigo to complete.
Soon back at the entry/exit and it was “I’ll go first, then you”. I’ll catch you if you fall…. Lol.
This was a fantastic opportunity to grab and totally unplanned. I’m glad for a crappy iPhone torch despite the fact a head torch probably would’ve made it easier.
The cache is holding up well. The container has sand and grit in the thread of the lid/container. Water has ingressed the log, but still ok to write on (pic attached).
I visited 3 TB.

Really a shame we couldn’t find this cache on 2 separate attempts, was heaps of fun though thanks for showing us this little secret
A day's outing while staying at Bellbrae with Bogonghazy had us travel into Geelong where we jumped on the bikes to do a few of the rail trail series and finishing the day in Queenscliff.
BH had seen a post about this cache the night before, and suggested we couldn't leave Queenscliff without at least contemplating it. Tide was incoming, but still low enough to not cause any issues. So, up I went, followed by BH, and with a headtorch we made our way into the chamber. A couple of likely spots before noticing an even better spot, and we had the cache in hand. Thanks Darth Brigi for a cache to remember, adding to the faves of course

Mr Dromaniax and his good friend Donutholes had chatted about this cache earlier today and decided today would be the day to find this cache. 8 pm was the agreed time, and we met at the car park and then headed down to the tunnel. Mr Dromaniax is not a great climber, whereas Donutholes must have been born in a forest because he can pretty much climb anything. But we both managed to get into the tunnel and walk along with it until we came to where the cache was hidden. It is impressive that this tunnel has been here for a long time and is still in great structural condition. We found the cache, signed the log and then headed back out. Caching is great fun with a mate. The cache is in great condition. Thank you for this cache ☭ товарищ.
The tide was low and the weather was perfect for an evening/night cache. A quick message to my mate Dromaniax to see if they were up for a cache and we soon had a plan in place
Arrived at the entry point at 8:07pm with plenty of light left in the day. It was decided that I would go up second because last time I went to attempt this cache I split my shorts in the car park and Dromaniax doesn't want to see any of that if it happened again.
Followed the tunnel to GZ and cache was found not long after. I loved the adventure, thank you for bringing me here. FP coming your way

Out for the day with LittleBoss2 on our short escape to Anglesea. Today we started in the middle of Geelong and rode/worked our way to Queenscliff.
This was a cache that I'd only learnt about from Jacko's FB post. LB2 and I were keen to at least have a look at to ascertain if it was achievable both tidally and physically. We recognised the 'door' from the post, and before I could plan a way to get to it, LB2 was at the top saying I needed to catch up. Once inside, we followed the directions and looked about in 'there' for a couple of minutes before LB read a previous log about piggybacks. We did just that, and within seconds, she called, 'Yep' got it!' We got lucky, very very lucky.
These are the caches you really remember, so a fave point is really well deserved. Thanks for a great part of history that you've shared into our game.

Cache find #1000!
It wasn’t planned to be doing my 1000th find while visiting my daughter in Geelong for the Christmas/New Year holidays. It was a little unfortunate as I kind of intended to complete this milestone with my geomates back in Campbelltown. With so many caches in this area, I surprised myself by sneaking up on it so quickly!
So one of my mates said that I had to find one worthy of the milestone find, and having spotted this hide a while ago, and loving it’s nature, and the adventure as described in some of the logs, this pretty much ticked the boxes. I was disappointed by what I thought would have been similar but lacked the adventure of this hide. That was Buckley’s at Port Lonsdale. But this hide was a very different story.
I actually approached this hide the previous day! But the attempt with an enthusiastic muggle was always doomed to failure. When we arrived, not only was it high tide but with the very strong wind blowing the waves onto the rocks, it was impossible despite the fact we climbed the rocks precariously as far as we could manage. We had to retreat as there was no way we were going to get to the entrance.
So when I got home I checked the tides and it looked perfect for a morning at track .
I arrived about 2 hrs before low tide, and with no wind and few waves. Access this time was a breeze! But arriving at the trailhead, or what I thought was, I realised that this was not it! So climbed back down and walked around a bit further….you’ve got to be kidding….how the heck am I going to get this old body into that! But amazingly it did! I’d love to continue the description but unfortunately it would give too much away, but I was in “there” for almost an hour, and a torch is an absolute must, and also geosenses need to be on high alert. I had actually given up and was preparing to leave empty handed when a cursory sweep managed to detect the hide. I can assure you many a nasty word was said at this point.
I made a few videos which I later sent to my friends back in Sydney, beacsuse they weren’t able to join me! Drew a couple of laughs.
Such a great adventure, unfortunately on my own, with such a lot of history too. No doubt, a FP without question.

AWESOME what a brilliant cache with the help of team tackt we climb we laughed and we found, just brilliant thank you
Late in the day and we had just finished out fish and chips by the harbour and I had seen this cache on the map. I hadn't explored these cliffs for about 40 years. Mmmmm, tempting. There's no point sitting in the car thinking about it, so I left geowife Malipara sitting in the car up near the fort and headed on down. The sun was almost down and light was falling. The only illumination that I had was my phone. Hopefully it would do.
Up the rock face and squeezing through the hole I noted that I'm not as limber or athletic as I once was. How remarkably accessible for somewhere that has been bricked up. Following the hint in the listing I made my way there. Where would I hide a cache I thought. Probably there, but I'm not tall enough and don't have the appropriate TOTT with me. Anyway, I snooped around in lots of likely places to no avail. I would have liked to stay longer, but it was getting dark and we did have to get going.
Thanks Darth Bridgi for bringing me back here and down memory lane. No smiley today, maybe another time.

Found it on third attempt! Hands down the best cache spot I have ever seen, great adventure. Forgot pen but will sign next time, the cache was a bit wet and might need maintenance?
Had a good look but no luck… asked for help, would love to find it eventually - coolest geocache spot ever!
Terrific cache! Done at low tide with a geokid who was totally up for a tunnel adventure. Glad I bought a TOTT for access ease. TFTC.
Woooowza! Definitely one of the coolest and scariest caches I've ever done! Went with a friend as there was no way I could brave to do it by myself, we climb up the first part, shuffle our way inside then... oh shoot, I got no internet !! We went off what was in the description, past logs and using brain power to great a GZ, made our way down flash light in hand, contemplating whether we should go in 'there' and sure enough one piggy back ride later cache was in hand! So much fun and adrenaline TFTC!
It has taken 4 visits to this place to log this cache, first two time I could not find it, last time found it and forgot a pen, today I had another opportunity. I had missed low tide but still managed to dodge the waves and made it to the opening with my shoes still on, up I went with my daughter and back out again in about 5 mins. I really enjoy coming here and it won't be the last time. A fav point for helping find a great adventure.
Team effort with BMTC18, timed arrival to suit the tide. After first attempt it was decided we needed suitable equipment.
Returning next day came up with the goods. Tough assignment this one, thanks for the challenge and showing yet again another landmark.

Tide receding,
Batteries charged,
Tools packed
Climbing gear ok
Arrived, climbed, entered, traversed.
Entered, prepared, searched and found.
I wonder why we didn't find it yesterday.
Thankyou for the cache and the adventure. Teamed up with Kia1.
P. S. Note to check weather... raining on exit.

Well checked the tide and approaches with Kia1. We found the entrance, made the climb, explored the depths, On to the South chamber for an interesting search. With tide in mind I retreated but could not exit without going back in one more time. Defeated again we carefully negotiated our exit from the area. Next time maybe! Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Second attempt at this cache. Staying in Portalington with friends for New Year's and I have suggested to take the kids to have a lot at the fort. 1 hour before high tide and we have make it around the beach without getting wet. 4 of us climbed up and around to the next section. Found the cache this time but made the rookie mistake of not bringing a pen..... At least I know where it is for next time...
Wow. I’ve been coming to queenscliff for 50yrs but I’ve never ventured into these emplacements. Heights and closed spaces are not my thing but the desire to clean up my old holiday town overrode my fears.
Love the cache.
Love the cache.
Mr Morris had been scuba diving and had some lovely strong torches handy. They were up and in the tunnel in no time. They spent quite a while exploring the area though. A very cool cache, thanks for sharing.
Another mild day, and I spent the morning caching around Queenscliff with The Morris.
We then lunched in town (award winning pies), and set off for home.
Low tide was about a hour ago, but we still had dry feet finding the cache and returning.
A great spot to investigate, but we were glad to have torches and the tunnel is very dark when we turned them off.
Took a while to locate the cache, but camo would be necessary as the area looks like it is used a bit.
Thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks, Robmc.

What an experience, we checked the tide yesterday and found it on the way in so we left it until today and then arrived to early. The shoes came off and we paddled in the water, it was only about six inches deep but cold.
The way in was a little difficult for us but we got there. Once in we were very pleased that we had the torches, it may have been a bit daunting going down the tunnel without them. Now that we are so close to GZ the anticipation is rising. A look here there and everywhere, high and low and in between, now it is time to read the past logs and see if there is any information to gleam from them.
The information from the logs was that it was high, this meant that it was up to hubby to recheck that level and using a TOTT, and a more through search he found the camo container. The log is a little damp but being the waterproof variety is hold up well.
Thanks for a great experience.

After finishing up at QMF we decided to finish off some remaining queenscliff caches. Excellent cache.... climbed up into the tunnel and fortunately stumbled on the cache soon after with some tips from the logs. Tore my shorts in the climbing process . TFTC
A fantastic ending to find this after weekend at QMF. The climb up was okay and lucky I had Roaming Howie to help me down, so I didn’t laugh at him when he ripped his pants. Thanks.
Woweee!!! So much fun finding this cache We are in town for the Queenscliff Music Festival and are enjoying grabbing a few caches while we’re here. This one tested my climbing skills, fair enough too for a D4. We timed the tides well and were soon at GZ. Hubby climbed on my shoulders to search the higher nooks and crannies and inadvertently dropped the cache on my head - ouch Still, I was glad we located it relatively quickly. Thanks so much for bringing us here, well worth a favourite point and a bump on the head
Found your cache today. It was fun to get in the tunnel. Jascat and stemicnitar joined with us. Finally after we searched about an hour fav from me ☭ товарищ, thank you so much for placing it.
With pwala and crank1.. so happy no wet day today. Very interesting about history..
Enjoyed walk along to GZ, pwala climbed the into the Entrance - no problem but need torch so I decided go back to the car to get Ladder and torches - return back - Crank1 use ladder into the Entrance with torches and I must stay to guard the ladder etc.. until Jascat and SteMicMitSar arrived, they went to the entrance too... about fifteen mins later, they come out so happy with big smiles... Fav from me.

I have been wanting to have a look for this one for some time now and I did get close a few years back but the tides were all wrong so I gave it a miss and have been able to get back here since.
Today as I knew I would be in the area and with low tide at the right time I made sure that I wasn't going home without at least having a look for this one.
We headed along the beach towards GZ and noticed in the distance that there was someone standing around were we were wanting to be and I thought well that's a bit unfortunate but I was wrong as it turned out to be very fortunate as this person turned out to be a fellow cacher, Everlasting.
After a bit of communicating we found out that crank1 and pwala had gone in to search for this cache and Everlasting was standing guard with the ladder.
So up we went to find crank1 and pwala and to join in on the search for this elusive cache, a few spots were checked here and there without any luck until I checked one particular spot with was a bit easier for me as it may have been out of reach for the others and there it was, certainly a bit damp but it was found.
The log sheet was wet and the ink probably ran a bit after signing but we left our mark and everyone was very happy.
**Thanks to ☭ товарищ ( Darth Briji ) for placing this cache.**

What better way to spend Melbourne cup by taking the ferry across to Queenscliff and jumping on the bike to do the G2Q and some others. Turned up to the this one to find Everlasting standing at the entrance. Once inside then we came across crank1 and pwala who had both been searching for an hour. SteMicMitSar had the height advantage today finding the cache in a little over 10 mins. Definitely a fun one to do and I don’t mind climbing in through small spaces. A favourite point from me.

5 Nov 2019: Streak Day #250/366 (1 March 2019 - 29 February 2020). Out caching day with Crank1 & Everlasting in and around Geelong. It has been very challenging here as it took us a while to find the cache. Jascat and SteMicMitSar later joined us, we did a teamwork. Fortunately, SteMicMitSar was tall enough to reach the cache. Thanks Darth Briji for the cache and the fun, very interesting here. A fav point from me.
Had a crack at this one today with no luck, spent about 20 mins looking on all the nooks and crannys. Another one to put on the watch list.
Cache replaced and place as originally intended. Clue also now less descriptive to reflect D/T.

Neatly completed all my caches that need attention on my annual cache maintenance run. This will be fixed & ready to go soon. In the meantime, I'm disabling.
With an impromptu decision to get away from Melbourne for a couple of days, this cache was on my To Do List after seeing a post about it on social media. Steve donned his headlight and up he went. Then it was my turn. I just couldn’t get a good footing, so reluctantly had to stay behind. Seemed like he was in there for ages before his head poked out, claiming he couldn’t find it. Probably should of checked the clues before entering the tunnel. A little while later, out pokes his head again, this time saying he’s found it, but the logbook is saturated. His bright idea was to place a new bit of paper in a new bag to put inside the old log, and weigh it down with a rock so I could toss it up to him. Third throw nearly took his head off.
He loved it Darth Briji and a definite favourite point. Next time I’m in the area, I think I’ll bring the step ladder:)

We were in there - see Monkeyman007's pic but couldn't actually find the cache if it's there but we're thinking we deserve to log it on effort alone! Hahahaha
Found what looked to be the remnants of log and bag a very high traffic area. Agreed maintaince is required. Absolutely loved this the kids wouldn't come out on holidays from Cairns and had to do this!!!!!

With DAB having some time off and I having a RDO today, we joined forces to make a day of it in and around Geelong. We had planned many things today including tree climbs, ladder climbs, kayaking and general geocaching fun. It was freezing for most of the morning with fog around until late morning. But as always it was a great day out
I was quite excited about doing this one. We don't have much of this sort of thing to explore within our area so with low tides today it was a must to search and explore. We made the climb in which was a little tricky with sandy shoes. We then headed in via the small opening. It was fun to look around, taking our time to explore the tunnel. We made our way round and using the clue, starting searching for this cache. It took us about 10 minutes before we finally found the log in a spot not quite where the clue suggests, but not far away.Unfortunately there was no cache housing, just the log sheet which was saturated.
Sorry to say but the log was mush and needs to be replaced asap.

Being the first day of my holidays, I wanted to start the week of with a bang. So a day of caching was planned with Na'wal. Waking up early to a thick fog, we made sure to dress warmly. It wasn't until about lunchtime that the fog finally cleared to reveal a beautiful sunny day. What a day it turned out to be. There was climbing, tunnel exploring, wading and even some kayaking. A very satisfying day indeed, with some very rewarding finds added to our tally.
I had attempted this hide a long time ago, but unfortunately it was missing. Fast forward to today and I was determined to get a smiley here. Once again we made the climb and traversed the tunnels to gz. We were a bit worried , as again we couldn't find the hide. After widening our search area, Na'wal made the find. Unfortunately the log was soaked, it was only a plastic bag and no actual cache container. Any attempt to sign the log only resulted in torn paper. We took a photo as proof of the find. A little TLC is needed here. I'm glad I have finally claimed this one. TFTC Darth Briji

Not up to the climb this morning - need to return with the GeoKids as they would jump at it
Have a free afternoon meant we could go exploring and catch-up on a few outstanding caches in Queenscliff. The tide was looking good and we enjoyed the beach stroll along with a few other people and their four legged friends. Eventually the coast was clear and we were able to scramble up inside. Long legs and the head torch were very handy up there as there were lots of interesting spots to explore. Following the hint we were able to find the cache in an interesting location. A possible CITO event? TFTC, a fav for the adventure!
With the previous finder posting his adventure at this cache on social media recently i became more than just a little interested in it myself as we happened to be staying in the area for a long weekend.
With a check of the tide times and a reconnaissance visit to the area yesterday while working on another cache today i came back to make my own attempt for it.
With Mrs Perpetuallylost keeping an eye out, as soon as the coast was clear i was up the cliff and into the first bunker. I soon made my way through the adjoining tunnel to the second bunker, scrambled my way in with all the agility of an aging walrus and started searching.
But you wouldn't read about it, after searching for a ridiculously long time i had to concede that the new logsheet that the previous finder had placed only a few days ago was already gone!
Took lots of snaps while i was in there to show Mrs Perpetuallylost when i came out, and in her wisdom she asks" did you put a new logsheet in there?" "Of course not" ,( ha, I didn't even think of that!) i replied so back in there i go, hidden the new logsheet and with the permission of the CO he has accepted my request to claim a find. The new logsheet is in place matching his hint but with a bit more camo over it hopefully it will last for a while longer.
Thx to the CO for the great cache placement, definitely a FP for this one!

Log is saturated and was immersed in water inside the bag.
Not retrievable. Still as is.
I dried out the bag that the TB was in and put a temporary replacement log there.
Not sure in current location how long it will last.

Wow! That was the scariest cache u e grabbed yet. Being a solo female cacher I didn’t fancy getting stuck in there with no one knowing where I am. However I trust my climbing and problem solving ability so made the climb. Glad I brought along my partners security guard grade torch! Shaking a little and creeped out I walked deep inside. Felt a bit Nancy drew with my huge torch and hunting! Cache was a quick find. What an awesome place! I’m so glad this hasn’t been boarded up and can still be explored. This is the cache I came to grab today and glad I found it. Thanks for bringing me here. Definitely a favourite point for the adventure!
Found the cache. But completely soaked, need some maintenance. What a great adventure!
Checked when it would be low tide so we could time our visit accordingly. Mr Harrowang did the climb and once his eyes got used to the dark, proceeded to GZ. SL at 1.15pm Surprised to find everything saturated, even though it was double bagged. Left: gold eagle PT #5697 Thanks for the adventure and the history of this fascinating place.

Another Sunday are we are slowly chipping our way through a challenge WhereIGo we are working on so we left bright and early this morning in the dark so we had plenty of time in the daylight. Weather was awesome and a great day was had albeit with a little too much driving.
I had heard about this cache on Facebook some time ago and luckily when I checked the tides it was on the way out so we had a metre or 2 of beach to be able to make it to the start location without getting wet.
After an initial climb which was a little awkward with my huge torch we made our way in, followed the longest hint in history and soon made the find.
Absolutely awesome location, a favourite from me.
Thanks ☭ товарищ for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Another Sunday and more dead premiers to visit with Spiffy- for a challenge cache. This time Warnambool was our target town. This was an unplanned adventure but we had torches im the car so off we went. Climbed in and navigated to GZ to make a quickish find. Thanks to товарищ for placing this cache.
