Time to go.

26-Oct-22
I started at the posted coords, but then expanded across the road. I searched in quite a few places, but came up empty. It would be really nice to have accurate coords.

07-Feb-22
Not the side of the road you're expecting as you look at your phone satellite picture as well as the coordinates being skewy. But no prickles now as mentioned by previous loggers. Mind your ankle in the ditch though.
TFTC.

I really had no plan today since it was raining hard, I just kinda found myself out here and since this nearby I decided to come and find it. Thanks BigglesNZ, cache is in good condition.

21-Nov-20
Spent the afternoon out in the country visiting a few places I haven't been to before. All good here. TFTC

04-Nov-20
Another good cache found today with woolwood9.
*Enjoyed walking / driving around the area *
Thanks for putting out this container for us to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)

Soon found, thanks BigglesNZ

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Yeah, nah - dodging thorn bushes is not my kind of adventure.. At least the ditch was dry!

Taybeedragon and are in Nelson yet again - three objectives this time. Some lab caches, a challenge cache, and hunting down the wonders of the world. With the geocaching app, the wonders are easy - each time we find a cache we removed its wonder from the filter, leaving only wonders we hadn't found yet - made for a nice fast solution.
Oh - and to find a rare cache type. So rare, that in all my 14,000 finds, I had only ever found one other. Now it's two. Modern Wonders found, now working the Ancient.

15-Aug-20
Enjoying driving along this back road. But prickles here are not fun. Finally tracked this one down to tag. Cheers.

Another weekend exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby. Early start from Blenheim on Saturday. We are after The Wonders of the World, some LAB caches, also Nanzies Event to visit our caching family and visiting family in Motueka. Cold morning and beautiful days made for an awesome weekend.

19-Jul-20
I have run this road so many times & until recently, never knew there were caches hidden along it. Enjoying exploring some of my favourite running routes & locating caches with Ricardinho. TFTC

19-Jul-20
Found this one quite visible from the road. But only if you know what you are looking for. Have recovered a little better. TFTC Biggles, all good.

Out and about again with Runninggirl1972, and as the weather was not that great we decided to stray not too far away from home base. So we refuelled ourselves at the Wakefield bakery (we have decided to name this month Chai and pie July - or at least for today anyway) and headed off down some side roads. A small haul, some DNFs, and the weather didn’t really get as bad as we thought it would. A fun couple of hours. Thanks all COs.

Yay

03-Jan-19
Early morning felt a little conspicuous here. Having read a previous log knew to look both side of road and a quick find. TFTC

14-Apr-18
Found after a short search on opposite side to that suggested by GPS. SL TFTC

09-Dec-17
My man took me on a caching exploration...hitting the road between Brightwater and Wakefield...After a slow start to the year I have got my caching mojo on and am trying to hit 365 for the year! This took me on a bit of a search in the wrong area...a read of previous logs led to a search on the other side of the road and soon the cache was in hand. TFTC

12-Aug-17
The GPS was out 14m but it was an easy find on a slight detour into Richmond tonight. There was the most precious little kitten here who came down to see us while we found and signed the cache. Very cute and friendly. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies Smile

19-Jun-17
With GPS sending us all over the place, we simply started looking for a likely hide - and there it was! TFTC

28-May-17
A wonderful quiet spot, I've never been up this valley. Let the adventure continue, thanks very much!

26-Feb-17
Our gps told us lies and had us on the wrong side of the road....but we checked all likely spots and yes, winners are grinners, logged and cycled on, tftc Biggles.

30-Dec-16
We were searching across the road for a good while b fore we read an old log which advised others had made the same mistake. We headed over to the cows side of the street and quickly found the cache. Thanks bigglesnz.

12-Dec-16
I got driven to bridge valley with my younger brother as his class at school are out here doing some camp based activities. I cycled back to hope finding many caches along the way. This cache was easily found, although it wasn't as hidden as well. Find #185

29-Nov-16
Out and about grabbing a few caches for the end of the month Smile took a wee while and kep the cows happy watching me but got it sorted it the end

25-Oct-16
GPS kept on taking me to the other side off the road. Once I figured which area it was I had a quick find. Have not been down this road in years. Tftc

25-Sep-16
Thanks

07-Aug-16
Quick find today GPS still wanted to take me to the other side. One way to get in another nice Sunday bike ride in. TFTC

31-Jul-16
First time up this valley, out for a Sunday bike ride, unable to locate as GPS was leading me astray. Will have to go back another time. TFTC

05-Jun-16

A second consecutive week with a trip over the hill for another couple of dozen caches, or just shy of that number. This weeks target was to get a couple of Multis, which have become the neglected cache type lately due to a focus on puzzle caches instead. Also a hope to get a few more (solved) Bakers Dozen caches along with a couple of random others, including the South 41 degrees Challenge cache which I see I qualify for too, yay.
A successful day and the weather this side of the hill was significantly better than the Blenheim side today, has been quite grey and dreary over this side, so I hear. Even bumped into cacher The Wonder Stuff and we found one together, which was nice. Had 3 1/2 hours caching today before I had to collect the family from their shopping exploits.
This one took a while. Whilst I focussed on one side of the road and (many) prickles the cache sat nicely over the other side! Eventually was sense and G Z and a Q E F ensued.

Easy find - but watch out for the prickles. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2388)

Haven't been up here before. TFTC

28-Nov-15
Biked out to here and back to home. Nice ride in a very pretty valley. Strangely enough I have never been to the camp but both children have. Mrs KE must have provided the taxi services on those trips. Cache was spotted from the middle of the road so no trouble making the find. Left it slightly less visible.
Thanks BigglesNZ for the cache.

It has been quite a frustrating and unproductive week at work, so would could be less frustrating and more productive that a spot of geocaching?

Like most parents from the area I have been here on a few occasions for school trips and I timed my visit to perfection as I arrived just as the massed ranks of a local school were leaving in a convoy of cars.

At least the delay allowed me to suss out that I was looking on the wrong side of the road, so once all the vehicles has moved on I was able to home in on another likely spot and find the container right away.

All signed, sealed and returned for another adventurer to find.

yes our kids had some great adventures too. I've also stayed here on a couple of occasions. The last time I was leading a weekend leadership course - the very thought of that now makes me feel exhausted. Funnily enough I was speaking to one of the participants last week who was reminiscing to me about aspects of it and saying what a great course it was which was good feedback all these years later. So I was thinking a lot about that weekend as I drove up the valley after working out this way this afternoon. TFTC #7478

Driving today from Nelson to Greymouth we stopped nearby and asked the iPhone if there was a cache nearby and we decided to take the little drive out here. Such pretty countryside - we are so glad we came. The area was quite wet today but we managed to access the cache and the log and add our signature. Thanks for bringing us out through this picturesque countryside BigglesNZ [^][^]

24-Oct-15
We have known of the adventure area since well before caching days so are surprised that there was not already a cache here. Heading off to check out the cricket in Brightwater, we quickly loaded all the geocaches on the GPS and that was nearly our undoing. They didn't load properly so we were near GZ with no information on the GPS. But the laptop was in the car so caches reloaded and a quick find ensued. It also alerted us to another new one plus a recently maintained one that appeared as closest unfound - and have another caching day sorted for us.
Thanks.

A nice quick find of this one. I haven't been up this way for a long time and nice to return. TFTC

12-Sep-15
We found this on a short detour on our way home from St Arnaud this afternoon. It was a matter of forgetting the GPS and just looking in the end. After that it was a quick find but not such a quick retrieval with my shorter arms. All done and dusted soon enough though. Thank you BigglesNZ.

12-Sep-15
Only a small detour from a Sunday drive we had on a Saturday. Where the GPS pointed was to easy. Cache sense got us where this little treasure was hidden. Thank you Biggles.

15-Aug-15
After lunch, we headed to Wakefield and beyond to find look for the Baker's Dozen caches that were out this way and pick up any new caches that had appeared since our last visit to the area. This was the first stop, and after hearing about no 13's enforced stay due to muggle presence, was a little apprehensive but all quiet here today.
We started looking for a micro where our GPSrs were pointing, but after reading the cache description, looked for something a bit larger, and on the opposite side of the road. After that, StreetWalker soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the adventure and the cache.

15-Aug-15
Took longer than I should have but got there in the end. Thanks Biggles!!

15-Aug-15
#9871. Our initial search was unsuccessful, so we went for the hint, and then realised the cache was probably on the other side of the road. Once I crossed the road the cache was a quick find. TFTC.

14-Aug-15
While I knew of this...can't recall actually driving up the road.
easy find with no-one around.
thanks Biggles for the (adventure) cache

Yaaaayyyyyy. FTF 3:40pm. I had recently noticed that Biggles often seems to go caching on his way to or from the shops Big Grin. He must do lots of shopping Big Grin. Today it was my turn. I was just trundling round the supermarket when I noticed that some new caches had been published. I thought someone else might have visited them by the time I finished choosing stuff, paying for it, packing it in the car - - - but no, I was in luck Big Grin! Thanks for the cache and the FTF Big Grin!!!

nice easy find, but as we were signing the log, two young boys were watching us.
Had to drive away with the cache and waited 20 to 30 minutes.
went back to GZ no one around, quickly replaced the cache.
thank you for the cache.
