Logs
Found the spoiler picture and read that the cache was now just a log in a plastic bag. Nothing in the grass underneath the fence at GZ, but very easy for a bag to get blown away or tidied up by one of those increasingly rare Tidy Kiwis I once heard about.
Dnf on my 6 weeks long holiday. Many people wrote Easy, but I guess snails just ate it for their brunch . I searched grass, poles, everything properly.
Easy find, surprised it’s still there with how easy it is to find. Log book is soaked, the bag isn’t doing much for this one. Tftc though, great views.
We found the cache and admired the views. This place really is stunning, and at sunset on a fine day, even more so! The log was soaked through - dripping wet - but we signed it as best we could. We're only visiting Hastings, but we'd love to come here again and return to these amazing views. TFTC
The log was soaking wet and difficult to sign. It needs better protection from the elements.
Top of the peak? Yes! After our 300th cache here (the earth cache) 12.5 years ago Return2nai proposed to jillopy on one of these rocky knolls. Today was cache 2780 for us, with the geokids in tow! TFTC!
First find for quite some time for us. Starting to get back into caching with 2 additional team members in tow! Beautiful day here for a trip to the top to take in the magnificent views! A real shame (and surprise) that the cafe was closed. TFTC!
Te Mata peak was closed on Friday for our first attempt. However, this morning all open again, so up we went. Stunner of a day and like previous mentions, no cache container, just a log in a bag... Took a few snaps while there too. TFTC
Awww darn. I was standing right here (according to satellite image) yesterday but didn't have any signal so wasn't able to check for any caches and hadn't thought to beforehand. Guess will have to wait til another trip
In HB for a long weekend, got left to my own devices today while my mate was at work, so went for a walk up Te Mata to grab some caches. Still missing a container but the log is in alright condition.
A night in Hasting and morning drive up Te Mata Peak. Thanks mrBmrsP for the cache.
Nice quick find. Rather cold nippy day so we are going to head back down. Awesome views.
A quick find, although the co-ords were a bit out. Spectacular views from up here, well worth the visit. Thank you for placing a cache here bchefj&p.
With Flowerydaze on a trip to Napier with our wine club and this one was on the list. A lovely day for caching. TFTC bchefj&p
Cycled up and found a cache.
What a good day.
We are up visiting ing from wellington snd the bay is giving us a lovely holiday again.

The first of seven caches located today (not including the five credited for an Adventure Lab before breakfast) on day 6 of our motorhome summer holiday to Hawkes Bay. This was one of four on our visit to Te Mata Peak today. Took a moment or two to spot this one. It wasn’t in the corner where we kind of expected it to be! #3673. TFTC.
Wow! How this cache has never been blown away is beyond me. Especially on days like today where at times it was difficult to stand up without holding on to something. The log was all filled up, so I have added a shiny, new waterproof replacement. It seems the tourist rush hour has started now, so the trickiest bit is going to be replacing it. TFTC
Cache container is missing. Found the paper log, but only has a plastic coin bag which I could use to try and protect it.
Log almost full as well

Took a look for this cache while taking one of the tracks to the summit of Te Mata Peak. Met up with AliGle at the summit and took a look for this cache. Took a little bit of hunting, but found the logsheet hidden under a small rock. TFTC!
Staying in the Hawkes Bay with Vistra for a few days. Vistra hiked to the top of Te Mata whilst I drove to the top and read my book for a bit and took in the amazing view...bliss! We the looked for this cache together. It took a bit of searching but we found it in the end...just a log sheet under a stone and no container.
Found paper only log full. Good spot. A bit wet needs updating please... Great day for a walk.. tftc
Found, no container though. Not great views but when it's good weather it's awesome up here
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

First trip up here. Amazing views plus parental heart attacks as kids explored the edge. TFTC
I was very nervous about any rummaging around for this one but eventually found it without drama. No cache container(?!) just log paper under a rock. Tftc
No spider bites for me today - actually my muggle hubbie found this one for me, so I was safe anyway! A lovely (although cold day up here) and we enjoyed wandering around and picking up a few smileys. TFTC
Went to do this cache this afternoon and when I grabbed the cache was bitten by a 3 cm spider and had to go to the hospital cause of an allergic reaction, be careful when doing this cache
We made a nice term break trip to the East coast with a motor home. Went up to the peak after arriving at Napier before it start raining for 3 days. We did the Rongokako trail what took us about 2 hours.
Cache was found quickly after searching the wrong object.
Thanks for hiding

It was very cold and blustery here today, and we drove up as one of the team has a leg injury that meant walking the hill was out of the question. Happy to make a quick find here while the kids explored a little higher up. As we replaced the cache we watched the 3 wheel super trike coming up the hill. We could only imagine the views from here on a sunny day, with low cloud today.
Little blue hen wasn't going to let this one beat us. No joy at the gz our gps gave so read the previous logs and searched elsewhere. Located the "missing" lid mentioned in previous logs inserted inside the top rail. Managed to extract that but no sign of the actual cache. LBH widened the search and came across the container, lid and logs included and so mission accomplished. Left lid adjacent to container and left container a little more protected than how LBH found it. Now matches hint. Tftcsl
One of quite a few that we collected as we explored the region. Found with bkj97. T4tcsl
The lockdown has lifted, but with our International wings clipped, a domestic road trip is in full swing.
A beautiful spot on a beautiful afternoon, thanks

One of the team has spent the whole lockdown period in Hastings and today being the 1st day that it was ok to go caching he and his fiancee headed up here. Amazing views and a nice straight forward find. TFTC
nice picnic here and what a beautiful view. After the picnic we checked the location of the cache. just a good search and then I found him, yesss
Found cache while out for a drive to see the view. Isn’t where clue suggests. I’ve emailed owner. SL TFtc
Quick find. Cache currently lacks a lid, but the location seems to keep it dry for now. Love the views!
Tftc. Found on a breathtaking walk up the peak at sunset. Beautiful view of tongariro and the ranges.
#11,530. A good hike up Te Mata Peak Road in Havelock North. Came across a number of other walkers on the tracks, and there were plenty of muggles on the top of the peak. Great views all around. Fortunately GZ itself was relatively quiet at the time of the visit. Found after a short search. But it was not where the additional hints suggested. The cache was missing its lid, but remained dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Great place to watch humans behave like birds. Thanks for taking us here to witness this fun activity up close and personal. Wish I had the guts to try it myself!
What a beautiful view from up here and FF65 and I hung out eating our lunch and watching the gutsy hang gliders catching updrafts from the cliffs. What a fun thing to witness! After a while of watching we wandered over to GZ and soon had cache in hand! Perfect! Thank you for the hide!
Our car broke down so we have been stuck in Havelock North staying with friends on Simla Avenue. Decided to walk up the Peak. Followed the blue trail and came back via the Redwoods. Tiring but worth it. Great views from up here.
This morning the weather is not good but it will get better in the afternoon. We'll stay there a little longer than expected.
Easier than this morning, it no longer rains.

Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
The hint no longer applies here, at least where we actually found the cache. It was nearly impossible to get the cache out, and when we tried, the cap slipped out of our hands and slipped down the top rail of the fence.
Sorry about that, but the last position it was in should keep the log dry.
Thanks for the smiley. The views are outstanding up here!!

There were stunning views for miles in all directions today. Mrs endeavour3 made the find and the tricky extraction. TFTC

I walked up the Blue track with my unfit daughter who turned 30 yesterday. Fantastic effort on her part with reaching the top in under 60 mins. So proud.
Nice quick find after a walk around the area...windy but lovely clear views today. Thanks for the hide.
First ever southern hemisphere cache. Thanks for leaving it. Fantastic view from the top. TFTC
