#13824 Three days on the road from Sydney to Mudgee, with the main objective of finding and logging the TRLT-North. It was an enjoyable drive, across dirt roads and some beautiful scenery. Day 1 we camped overnight at Hill End and day 2 we pitched out tent in Mudgee. The caches were easily found so the focus was fully on the journey through our Mid Western region of NSW.Careful not to lose balance on the fallen tree as I was not too keen to fall into the big bush of blackberries next to me.TFTC to all cache owners for maintaining this great series.
It's pretty well camouflaged for being the higher stump,an enjoyable find before taking a stroll around the cemetery. My last find for 2023,all the best in 2024 mate, cheersThanks for the cache
Found while caching with WaywardWoman. Blackberries covering the stump were bad!Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Heading towards Sydney but stayed nearby overnight and grabbing a few along the way. Most hides where found after a short search. Loved the different containers and hides. Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
14/25 on the list for today. Easy find not so easy to retrieve with what’s soon to be a monster blackberry bush starting to cover the stump. Cache is in good condition. TFTC.
Out exploring the area and collecting a few caches along the way. This one had us going round and round, but in the end GZ was well covered which required a delicate entry to keep away from the thorns. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and then replaced it as found. Thanks for the cache Code1.

Staying safe from Omicron is proving to be very tedious, so we went for a drive to pick up some caches. What a sad place and a great pity it is so neglected. The blackberries have loved all the rain and are busy swallowing up the cache location. Still, what's a few scratches to get a cache? TFTC
Dark and sinister down there. The blackberries proved a bit of a hazard, but the cache was soon in hand. TYFTC
Tftc Code1, day out from Bathurst for us today .

What a gorgeous little hidden cemetery! I will say watch out for the thorns everywhere. Geo-gangsta and I did some tag team work to keep each other from getting scratched up on what was otherwise an easy find. A favourite for the location! TFTC

Today I met up with Calypso62 and Rama497 to do some of TRLT series. Calypso62, Team Canary and I did a fair chunk of the first stretch back in April 2017, Calypso62 and I haven't managed to return until now. We were lucky enough to have Rama497 come and join us today, making the day a whole lot of fun. There were instances where we saw snow, some where we felt snow, some where we walked through (fallen) snow, some where the caches had snow on them and even some where it was snowing at the time! I don't think the car said it was warmer than 3 degrees all day yet we still managed to find at least 36 caches (we revisited some previous finds so Rama497 could find them too). It was a wonderful day.
Overshot this one initially, found something matching the hint and headed for it but glad I got it wrong - none of us is THAT tall!

What an amazing place. I wonder when the old pines were planted - before or after most people were buried here?

Day 3
With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild. Our intention was to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area.
We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure. Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide Code1 and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.
Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for their efforts.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide Code1 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Stumped it. Lovely old cemetery in the middle of the bush. Great cycling road, so quiet.
Over from Perth on work, so while in Bathurst I've spent a bit of time each day grabbing a couple of caches.
Left early this morning to tackle a loop of caches NE of town.

Lovely little cemetery. Had a nice wander around. Be careful of the spikey weed thing grading the cache
well i don't know what happened on Friday when I logged this one on my phone just glad I noticed it hadn't logged.
Found while in the area completing some caches while completing the MOTM challenge.
Parked out at the road and took the short walk in. Thought it may be missing as while approaching noticed a bit of clearing had been going on with a few trees cut down. Thankfully all was ok and cache was located quickly. Was attacked by the blackberry bush, just as well was a cold day and was wearing a jumper. so be careful of these. Then as I turned around there was a German Shepard right behind me. Don't know where he came from but thankfully he was friendly.
TFTC now off to locate a few more for the MOTM.

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
Today we journey along the RLT east from Bathurst, commencing at "Bridge".
Aren't these blackberries a curse! Somehow after visiting Dark Corner Cemetery, I expected this one to be bigger!

This was our third day of searching for caches on this trail, having started late in the afternoon two days again. The first afternoon the weather had been cold and wet, and yesterday dry but very chilly. Today the weather was perfect - beautiful sunshine, warmer and only a gentle breeze. The scenery was simply stunning along the roads the series took us along and so once again we had another great day out geocaching. We soon found this one once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache at this very peaceful location and greetings from Zimbabwe
Out caching with oldmorty - a further 33 of TRLT caches found. Quick park and grab but watch out for the blackberries. Thanks Code1 for placing this cache here for us to find.
On a lovely Autumn day on the way to White Rock for a family birthday, frazeydaze and I took a slight detour through Sunny Corner, Palmers Oaky, Limekilns, Wattle Flat and Sofala. Meandering through pretty mountain ranges and densely wooded gum forests we found a few caches, including this one, along the way. TFTC Code1
You'd like to think this would be a warmish spot to poke around the stones
But today it must have been the second coldest place in Australia !! [:o]
After Melbourne of course [^]
By and by strollin' the stones didn't warm me up much,
but I did find this cache

Thank you so very very much for this awesome series that is showing us around with minimal bitumen. Absolutely loving it. Due to the felling of a tree, this took a little longer than it needed to. Thank you for the cache.
I was heading to Portland today and decided I'd take the scenic route there from Lithgow, travelling via Tarana and Sunny Corner (with a couple of diversions thrown into the mix) to pick up some of the TRLT series in a last ditch attempt to earn the final Hidden Creatures souvenir. In the end, I think I found enough to get me the turtle souvenir but that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the drive ... particularly this section past all the pine plantations ... the place certainly looks very different to when I was here last, with with so much having been logged in recent years.
Thanks for placing caches along the road less travelled Code1 ... I for one appreciate the effort you and others have gone to.

Back today to do more of this fun series. We love the rural areas so this sort of caching suits us just fine. A lot of work has gone into putting out these caches and we are grateful to the co. Thanks to Code1 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Our xmas caching trip is to clear out the trlt series, this was day 3 of our adventure. Well done to all the COs for setting up series and the hard work in maintaining it. We really appreciate it. Love cemetery caches and this one was a beauty, tucked away in forest. Tftc
I was surprised at the number of graveyard caches we ended up doing on this trip. While I’m usually fussed about trekking around in or near graveyards, I’m glad we managed to find so many on this trip. This excursion was one of the nicest experiences I’ve had this year, and we’ll be sure to go on a similar excursion next time. Victory by caching! Thanks for the cache!

Found as part of a weekend away with Hoojar. We headed up towards Gulgong the first night and camped near the start/ end of TRLT (@ -5 degrees ). The next day we made it through some nice historic places and great rolling countryside to finish up at Sunny Corner after a feed in Bathurst. The next day a few more finds before we headed home. Plenty of roadkill spotted, not many cars and not too much trouble at each cache. Thanks to all those cache hiders .
