Visiting the Sunny Coast with the Northern Cricket team to compete at the State Championships. Sadly for the second day, the rain washed out the days play. (Sunny Coast???). This on had my attention due to its listed coordinates and before heading to the airport I grabbed this one. Solved the puzzle on the third recount after the previous finder was helpful in providing me with the shapes (I’ve attached them as they are not displaying properly in the description).
Today I approached on the wrong side and had to find another way around to GZ. Here I founds the remains of the cache but the owner really needs to attend to some maintenance here.

When i look at the details, im getting a picture about 3rd party hosting instead of any geometrical shapes!
Solved for leaving home, before my holidays.
You need to replace the container, as it is in bad condition, like almost fully missing.
Having a bit of time off work, What better then to find a few caches
Thank you for the hide Bones74

After swigging my coffee the blood was pumping and I was seriously up for a tree climb. I'd read the past logs about the cache not quite being there in full but I was up to find the part.
I parked the car and saw the magnificent tree and knew this was going to be fun. I stood at the bottom looked around, tucked myself to the left and set sail. My first assault did not reveal the lid of the cache. I had gone a bit high. Back down to terra-firma for another look. This time I spotted the remains and was happy to climb again.
I took a photo of the lid before spotting something equally as beautiful. tftc

Continuing on my Sunny Coast adventure with DreamerSkye, Kittycute, 1MinnieMoo and 1GiantPanda we found ourselves at this next cache. Woohoo! My favourite type of hide Everyone was quickly all over the big beauty hunting for the container. Unfortunately all we found, like the previous geocachers, was the lid stuck to the tree Thankfully though the CO gave us permission to log.
Thanks for the puzzle and for the smiley Bones74

Having planned out our day up here last night, we made sure to solve the couple of puzzles we had in today's list. This one I had one required part of the answer immediately, but the other part took a little more working out. However soon I had the green light from the checker. And today NyssaFlutterby, the geokids and I headed over to collect this cache. What a great tree! This was big enough to fit all of us in at once with still plenty more room for a few more monkeys to join us.
As there is currently a problem with the cache, we sought and received permission from the CO to log our find, using the info we had about the particular spot of the hide, and took our own photos for reference. The geokids would have loved to have stayed here climbing for much longer, but we had more caches calling our name today.
Thanks for the cache Bones74.

La Kedi and I weren't quite in the right place on arrival but a short stroll along and we found GZ. Sadly we could see the remains of the cache only but the CO has kindly allowed us to log it. TFTC Bones74
With only a short time in Caloundra, I hadn't prepared any geocaching so ended up solving this one on my iPhone - it would've been easier on paper! Nonetheless, it wasn't long until the correct coordinates fell out, and this morning we went to collect it. On arrival, my gps was very bouncy but consistently pointed me to the other side, but where I was standing seemed so much more logical! Finally the god settled down and agreed with my instincts and not long after that, The Marble and I found what remained of the cache. Logging with permission. TFTC, Bones74. =^.^=
After spending a while trying to work out how many squares and triangles there were and not getting the right answer I handed this over to TG. Either she has more of a brain for this or I just got her off on the right track. Either way we finally had some numbers that were correct.
Today we visited GZ. Once I saw the possible cache location I was off, I love these types of hides.
We had a bit of trouble with the cache container so we contacted the CO who kindly allowed us to claim this as a find.
Loved the area and the end result so I'm giving it a favourite point.

Solved the puzzle and verified the coords. Found a very likely tree at gz and searched all over but could not locate the gc. Sadly need to register a dnf.
We attempted solving this yesterday, but struggled getting the correct numbers as the checker didn't agree with us. After numerous attempts to agree with the checker we needed assistance, Thanks to Rbutto we were able to calculate the correct coordinates and at last the checker agreed. We arrived at GZ and no muggles were in sight . After surveying the area the cache was soon discovered after the tree climb . Unfortunately the cache lid was discovered, but their was no log to sign [?]. Thanks for the cache Bones74 . TFTC!!!
Solved this some time ago and went and had a look today. The terrain 3 worried me even before I started and even more so when I approached GZ. When you are of mature years these sorts of terrains make you squirm - our bones are more brittle and do not heal as well. I would be very happy to share my co-ordinates with somebody if they were able to cope with a terrain level 3. Message me.
Quickly worked this one out while holidaying on the coast. We were looking for Emma (wiggle doll) at a nearby shopping centre when I mentioned this cache to Geo daughter and son-in law! Scottymyth did what had to be done but Ainstar and lady membsec found the missing part on the ground! Quickly found an old docket and scribble our name and replaced where we believed it should be!!

Found the container open on the ground with no sign of the logbook. Place the container where it belongs but had no spare paper with us. Sorry!
Spotted the point where the cache should be straight away. Geokid went up to check if something could be done with it. -No- Meanwhile geodad found an empty container on the ground that seemed to match nicely. Despite some extensive search we could not locate the missing logbook and replaced the (empty) container where we think it belonged. CO was notified.

#12815. We've had a lot of trouble spotting caches in trees on our visit to Queensland, but this was one I did manage to spot. I figured the lid was attached to the branch, and managed to detach the base and leave to lid in place. TFTC.
Solved this puzzle back home in preparation for our Queensland trip, and had no trouble with it. Getting to GZ was a different story as we found a water hazard between us and our prize so had to walk a bit further than anticipated.
Once at GZ, the GPSrs took a while to settle but we were sure the cache could be in just one place. Unfortunately, there was a man there, using the tree as a background for a photo shoot of his toddler. StreetWalker spotted the cache, so I kept the man talking while he made his way to it. Good to smilefy this puzzle cache after failing to find another of the CO's caches the other day. TFTC.

I has solved this last night knowing I would be nearby today. No troubles with the puzzle. I did have trouble with the checker. I entered S27. Twice. to two "no" answers. Double checked my answers and realised what I had done. Got the yes. [^]
It was nice and quiet at GZ today. The cache was once again on the ground though. I did not find the log sheet. I added a bit of rite in the rain paper and put the cache back in it's proper spot.

Well it would seem that since it is raining I have time to write my logs along the way this morning. It took a few tries to actually get this one out but soon enough had some numbers tucked away knowing I would be up this way for the night. I actually debated heading over and grabbing this one last night on the way back to the hotel, which may have been a better option but alas sleep called.
So this morning I grabbed the GPSr and umbrella and took a little walk over from the hotel. I started having a look and spotted one option and went up for a check. Problem rain started coming down heavier, so back under the umbrella. Looking around I actually found the cache in the same position as the last finders, soon enough identifying exactly where it belonged, but with rain coming down and the tree slick wi water how to get it back.
Well I waited for a few minutes and the water level nearby had risen a few inches and appeared to be still rising, so I figure the rain had eased a little and now would be as much of a chance as I was going to get. So I headed up and found a little better grip then I though, but still took plenty of care and soon Hadfield cache back in place as securely as I could attach. However log is wet and in this weather without a spare on hand nothing I could really do.

We found this cache considerably lower than I expect it was meant to be... if the CO has a chance I recommend heading out there and checking on this one.
Barbbowman and I occasionally have the same day free and love to go geocaching together when possible so today we were both excited to head up the Coast and grab a few geocaches that made it through our filters into GSAK.
This was the first cache for the day. We both had issues getting a tick on the checker for this one, though we had both found the correct answer. It seems the checker would only work on Barb's phone. Neither of our computers could get the geochecker to agree with us but got the tick immediately when Barb tried it on her phone.
We arrived at GZ and as we were looking around for the container I spotted something on the ground. Hmmm. I wonder if that is the container? Sure enough there was a logbook and the entries matched the ones online. We signed our names and put the container where it was obviously meant to be but I have no idea how long it will stay there. Thanks for the cache Bones74

while looking where i had to go net made a discovery much lower
signed our names and took a pic as log is very soggy
not sure if this cache is going to stay where it should, might need a better connection

Solved this one ages ago but today was our first opportunity to look for this. Almost abandoned before we started our search when a trio of local lads climbed down after urinating through the trunk!!! After spotting the cache some creative climbing was required to retrieve it and sign the log. The log was quite damp today - from the recent rain not body fluids. TFTC
Solved the puzzle before leaving for Caloundra. Found the spot but had difficulty with the find. At 74 I had limitations fortunately I had my Grandson with me. Loved the puzzle, I will take the idea back to the UK. Must award it a Favourite Point.TFTC
Parked across from where the checker had confirmed I had the right spot, Oh golly gosh! . I walked over and after a short search the cache was spied, oh that dosn't look as bad as it could have been - So with a little coffee boost this Morning I had the cache at my fingertips .
Signed logsheet 11/03/2016 10:15 am and replaced all as found.

I solved the puzzle ages ago, but today was the first chance I had to get to GZ.
With the help of spinna76, I had the cache in hand and logsheet signed.
A fun and challenging cache!
The container is missing its lid.

Great climbing tree. Solved the puzzle and i am not good at puzzles. Got the green light. My co ords showed that i would be in someones yard. So i just walked around until I saw it. Nice challenging climb. Needed this for the March challenge.
We teamed up with Fangsoki after today's event. This was definitely team work involved in retrieving the cache. We certainly had some fun. TFTC
Team Herbz and I met up to do a few of the caches in the area.
Sweet_bee (the good wife) and I teamed up to tackle this puzzle. Turns out Sweet_bee was better than me and managed to spot what was needed. I finally got the beloved "Congratulations" from the checker.
Team Herbz and I made our way to GZ and started the hunt. I spotted the elusive beast and Mr Herbz was doing the extraction. I decided I could probably join him myself and was soon singing the log beside him. Not very often I am very good at these types of caches. I even managed to return to "terra firma" safely

Tried to find this in the rain today. Think we had the right spot but cache illuded us. Kids impatient . Will come back unhindered.
OK, I'll make my confession! It seems that when I thought I had confirmed my coordinates for this cache, I must not have, because while I was running around with my geo-gang this afternoon, they cleared up the picture considerably. I was close, but not close enough... yes, that's right, I had climbed the WRONG TREE... shame, Tinda, shame!
Last thing today, I found myself in a much more likely spot, and the climb proved considerably easier than my last one. All good here so TFTC... and if anyone else heads for a paperbark right near the edge of a road... think again!

Out and about with Nurseyjulie & IolantheK today finding caches in the area.

The puzzle kept me at bay for a while but eventually I worked out what I was missing. With coords confirmed, I armed myself with a good takeaway coffee and headed over to the GZ. The first issue was to make sure I was looking at the right tree: yes, this one looks pretty public and phone seems to be pointing to it most of the time.
Next, I took the hint from past finders to try to spot the cache before climbing. Not for the first time, I just couldn't see anything up there anywhere.
Reluctantly, I heaved myself up and started looking around. The tree was absolutely full of little black ants which were all over me immediately. They were distracting but at least they weren't biting. After a very decent period, I reluctantly came down and kept looking. Nope. Very disappointed and frustrated but if you can't see it, you can't see it.

Counted and counted. Definitely easier to spot the cache first before climbing. TFTC.
The first time i looked at the puzzle i didnt find all the possibilities. A while later i tried again and extracted a whole different set of shapes.
At gz today i climbed aimlessly till realising that it made more sense to spot the cache from the ground. Second time up i left my thongs on the ground which made for easier climbing.

Today I had intended to do some paddling on the Sunny Coast, but decided to do a roadtrip instead, collecting a whole swag of solved puzzles and plenty of other interesting caches along the way.
This puzzle caused some consternation for a short while, mainly because I mixed up the answers before entering into the formula. Mrs OC couldn't believe how many shapes there were, and made me show them all to her. Found easily from below before ascending.
This cache adds to our total of 2078 smilies, thanks Bones74 for showing us this spot.

Out for a Freaky Friday with Dutchie1950 and we are heading to Landsborough and Caloundra.
Loved solving this one [^] So much counting and recounting [:o)] Good thing there was a checker! However, what happened at GZ was weird. As we arrived I spotted what looked like the container high up, so made the effort to get up there and check, but that seemed to be a lid only...??? Back down to ground level and we searched high and low, and at about waist height I found the bottom half of the container with the logbook still in its baggie nicely tucked inside it. Strange... We signed the logbook, then I figured I'd go back up and see if the two parts fitted together, and lo and behold, they did! So we left everything in place. Hope the CO is okay with that? TFTC, Bones74.

# 1063 - Just home from the Mega in Christchurch and off I go on a Freaky Friday outing with IolantheK. No rest for the wicked!
Our target area was Caloundra and Landsborough. Another puzzle that I like and is within my (puzzle newbie ) abilities.
IolantheK also had a story to tell about this cache, which of course is not necessary for me to repeat. We were equally 'puzzled' though...

I solved this one a while ago, i counted and counted and counted, then eventually resorted to a bit of googling
So last week I was driving by and cast my eyes over GZ, I spotted something that looked like it may have been a muggled cache, so I checked with the CO and no, i was on the wrong track, but not far off.
So I visited again and spotted what I was looking for, a bit of a climb, a shuffle and a stretch and the cache was in hand, a quick sign, and back it went.
Thanks for the cache bones!

Solved this one at home after a few attempts and headed to GZ. Looked for a while until the geowife came over and pointed "is that what you're looking for". Oh not again!! Now all I've got to do is retrieve it - not an easy task as you get older. Soon had cache in hand but had a job to sign the log as it was soaking wet - just wrote '2/9 dick' no room for bev!! TFTC Bones74
We decided to have a day clearing up some local caches that we hadn't got to yet. We had solved the problem at home - we did take two attempts at it though. Once we arrived close to GZ we noticed some other people right at GZ doing what we knew we had to do. We let them have the place to themselves while we waited in the car. Once they drove off we headed over to GZ. I soon spotted the hide and Marco was sent up to retrieve it. TNLNSL TFTC
Out today grabbing a few caches in the area.
Had solved this one during the week but made a error in putting in the coordinates to the checker.
I finally got the green tick and saved the find for today.
Out this morning while geopartner's car was having a service.
Arrived at GZ and I spotted the cache and geopartner made the retrieval.
He had to stay put while muggles and dogs glided by.
Added a baggie as log a little damp.
It would have been ok for Jump into it to join us if it was us at GZ.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Bones 74 All good with this cache

Had another chance to visit today, and this time took a wider perspective, and yes - there it was in plain sight. Performed the ascent, signed log (log is damp) and returned to ground safely.

Solved puzzle at the start of the week knowing I would be in the area.
No luck today, looked high and higher (after using the attributes to confirm my suspicions), lots of nooks filled with water after yesterday's showers.
Might get another chance before headings south.

Counting, counting, counting with many different answers, so counting again until we finally had the correct answer. We raced to GZ and saw a magnificent tree that the kids thoroughly enjoyed climbing, right up to the very very top. Whilst swinging like monkeys one of them spied the nifty cache and called spinna over to make the retrieval. We all signed ourselves in, happy that we were able to score a FTF and 3 souvenirs with this one cache..... winning.

Can I say .... What they said??
Notification came through... It was 5 mins away, had some time up my sleeve ... Headed to approx GZ where I found Spinna76, Stacevel and Suzisquirrel and their Geokids already thick on the hunt with their hands nearly on it. Knew some familiar faces would be around this one. It's nice to have spontaneous geo group get togethers around a new published cache on a Saturday morning

#1166 Joint *FTF* with Stacevel, Spinna76 and XWF@ 10:34 am. XWF. Saw the notification come in, grabbed the family and raced to the coords while we frantically tried to solve it in the car. Got so many answers between us that we finally took another avenue and had the coords without a doubt immediately. Raced around the corner, Stacevel and I trailing the extremely fast Spinna76 and found the cache soon after XWF arrived. Thanks for three souvenirs in one go this morning too. Great spot and great fun solving and finding this one. TFTC Bones74!

We were on our way to grad a feed of fish n chip from around the corner and I thought seeing I had my family monkey with us, she should do the honours
With me searched the area from ground level and Miss Geo searching high, it ended up being a nice quick find luckily as the daylight was all but gone.
Miss Geo, signed our names and returned the cache as found.
Congrats to Spinna76 and Family for being FTF, great effort everyone.

We were on our way to the coast when this one was published so I grabbed the GPX file and started thinking about the puzzle. I'm liking these Bones74 mysteries, good on you mate, we could do with a few more mysteries on the coast!
It took me three tries to get the numbers right as they all looked ok on the map but only one gave me a green light! The monkey work was fun and I was looking forward to the other one down the road next. Thanks Bones74, good work!
