TFTC aussieben. This was great fun from start to finish. Those nice clear paths visible in the geocaching map were not really there when we traipsed through today! It was certainly worth it though for such an interesting and puzzling container. Solved fairly quickly, signed the log and picked up a trackable for onward travels. Returned to the car carrying about a kilo of grass seed attached to my clothes and a big smile. Fave point from me.
TFTC. Came with a few people from the nearby event to get this cache. We had to walk through some spongy grass. Glad it was a coolish day.
After finding the GZ after last weeks Geocaching Olympics Event I had ran out of time to do the puzzle to sign the cache so after a International Geocaching Day event in Morpeth, I was determined to make this a smile. So glad I changed into my gum boots to walk to the cache and because I had done the puzzle at home it was a quick solve. Signed the log and swapped some swag. Also dropped off a trackable for its next geocacher to find it and take it on some more adventures. TFTC! I can see why its got the favourite points it has and heres one more. (Photo was of the swag I swapped. Feeling like one now that I got the cache! lol )
Found GZ as that was an adventure and a half! As I was confused what was the safest way to it. Started to do puzzle but it was getting late and sun was setting so didnt quite get it solved. Still had a bit of a drive to get home and I didnt want to do it alone by myself especially as it looks like a homeless person has set up next to the cache. Will be here soon hopefully to grab the find!
Took us a bit but we found it and loved the Puzzle! We forgot our pen so we didn't write in the log but we did add a couple goodies.TFTC
Now I know why this has so many favourite points. A simple, but effective field puzzle. Found with GeodogZelda.I parked near the small park on the bend, and followed the perimeter of the lagoon. There was some sort of trail, revegetation and some mowing having gone on around the area. Though the grass was a little overgrown for the last 30m. Finding the cache at GZ was easy. It is certainly obvious. I was unsure if I had the right code, but it opened first go. I'm happy my Maths skills haven't diminished since retirement. Great work, great theme. I just wonder what the other structure near GZ is.Have another FP. TFTC PS: I didn't have to add 9 to my calculations to get the code. I don't know if I just got lucky or the code has been fixed. I relocked it and tested it, and it seemed to be secured shut for the next seeker.
Gotcha TFTC! This was an amazing cache!! FP awarded!!Found with the Geohusband @Nosmada and the Geokiddies @Pesaus and @WyattWild
No smooth way to get onto the which means you got to be wary of snakes through the 200m of tall grass. Loved the puzzle, read the hint wrong and first so took me some time to solve.
How lovely that my job should send me out to this part of the world for a few days. And given I finish work in the early afternoon and I have a hire car, well of course I'm going to go geocaching. Convenient, right!? After my second day, I have a little more time, so head for the Maitland area. I'm a bit seemingly arbitrary with which geocaches I find, but this is up first.Initially, Google Maps sent me to a very wrong entry, but some grey matter had me parked at the lakeside parkland and I could head off on my stroll. It was still super sunny and hot out and there was little shade on the walk. Whatever, power on.As I walked, it became clear that the lovely mown lawn would run out. But at the edge of the long grass, I found a beaten path by the lake that went roughly the right direction, so I followed that. And despite the beaming sun, it was a pleasant area and overlooking the lake is lovely.Closer, I had to go through a bit of long grass and as mentioned in a previous log, aimed for what looks like a homeless shelter. It's not, as I discovered when closer. And it is not hard to find the geocache at all!Now just about getting in. I'm not sure if it wasn't reset properly, or my picking skillz are more advanced than I'd guessed, but the geocache popped open with just a little jiggle and before I'd tackled the mathematics. Maybe I'm just that good. The logbook was in hand and signed at 15:20.Now to head back, I found a handy beaten path through the long grass, but right near the tree line. A bit more shade so I took that way back. Nice. A creative and unique geocache, thanks for bringing me here, Aussieben
Thanks for the find definitely a favourite, will continue this trackable on its journey!
this was really fun one to find and a great puzzle to solve. We have left a trackable to continue on its way for those adventuring
After a bit of twisting and turning by car we had to slog it out in the heat to the site of this beauty.
Was convinced we, plus geodog, would succumb to snake bite, or at least snake fright.
Luckily no, and luckily managed to twist and turn the cache to reveal the log.
Thanks Aussieben well worth a fav

This was tricky to get to, keeping a cautious watch for anything slithery in the long grass. We seemed to be approaching a houseless persons camp. But as we zeroed in, it became a joy to discover. We deciphered the words without fumbling, signed and restored. Thanks aussieben.
Found it! GZ is pretty overgrown (jeans were definitely not the play) and the ground was very squelchy but the cache more than made up for it. TFTC
Areas very overgrown atm, also contruction might stop access to the back of the lagoon, but stil found it
I walked over here this morning and found the cache pretty quickly. It took me quite a while to work out what to do because I hadn't read the hint properly! What a great idea and an excellent container! TFTC!
Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Found with shaneo58's help doing some around Maitland area and part of the dog head trail, getting very windy and cold during the day, feeling like we are back in winter.
Very well constructed field pussle, deserving a FP.
Log signed and caches replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** Aussieben.

I joined a trip to Maitland with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine, Barb2e, Kitty Katch & Joolay. The weekends main game was to do the dogs head series, but along the way we did some old caches around Sydney and did as many Maitland caches as time allowed. The return journey was via some old caches and some challenges that may or may not be met one day.
Day 4 was the travel home day. We did start with Maitland caches and then head south to Sugarloaf mountain for some old and hard caches. Last on the list was another old Sydney cache..
Thanks for the cache Aussieben

I was aiming for this one to be No. 1200, but missed by 2. Oh well.after a nice walk aroubd the lagoon, as there was a mown path there, i came to GZ. In there huh? Oh yes, there it is. So ehat do i do with this? A quick read, and soon i was creating a spreadsheet in the field. I have one for this very cipher on my desktop, and now on my phone. Got the right numbers, "Open Sesame!" , and it does. I suppose the hint reduces the diff, but i would still be there, if that wasnt there... As i emerged from the brush, two neighbours were chatting over yonder, and took an interest, but didnt approach me. I would have waved if they had of looked when i was closer, but they didnt. Very good container. Nice field puzzle. Fav from me.
Tftc aussieben, found after a wet walk through the park. Great puzzle, container, and thought. Loved it, score a fave point.
Did this one with shaneo58 and Grub Fred on a day out in Maitland and so pleased to tackle this one as we managed to get the combo correct first go then signed log before the hot walk back to the car. Thanks aussieben worth a fav point.
Find No: 7957. Out for the day with shaneo58 and Yella Belly, great cache, deserves multiple favorites, thanks for the cache aussieben!!
Found it along with grub fred and yella belly I think this was a lot easier with many minds on the job. Managed to snag it first go. TFTC Aussieben A fav for me.
I found the missing log - the lid had come off the bit that comes out so the log had fallen out. It’s been returned and the blue lid put back on.
Hi t: take paper for working out!!! I have it written all over my arm!
A very very cool way to spend the afternoon another amazing gadget cache for our collection!! Thanks for the cache A FAV for me!!

The beautiful puppy geo art up Maitland way has been tempting me for months!, so when Joolay, Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and SpecimenX started to brew plans for a trip, I knew I was in. Making a whole long weekend of it, we’ve hunted down much needed counties on Friday, diverted to Jasmers, caught up with locals at events and picked up some extra cool little trails and night caches, all the while keeping our eye on the geo art prize So wonderful to have the chance to get away for some caching fun, and to catch up with some local cachers whilst we’re about. Thanks so much to everyone who has invested in these caches to make our wonderful weekend away a possibility. Thanks for the Cache.

Headed to the Maitland area with fitzy_1965 & SpecimenX for an extra long weekend of caching.
Day 3 saw us joined by nibletricecakes and Joolay again. After yesterday's mammoth effort we took it slow and headed up to Frying Pan caching along the way.
Back from Dungog, time to cache in and around Maitland. What a cool cache! We soon had the 'in' but things didn't line up....finally got in but no log was found. Quick message to the CO had us putting in a temporary log until he could get back to fix.
All caches where found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Logs were either signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers, CC, Kapital Krunchers or KK.

Found with fitzy_1965, minniek, Nibletricecakes, Joolay as part of the Canberra Invasion of Maitland and surrounds over an extra long weekend
Off we go on another adventure around the area and today's priority was to grab the golden oldie Frying Pan (GCF1) and then anything else which we had on our list
This one was a must do for us so once we worked out where we needed to park, off we went for the wander to GZ. Once there, we got on with working out what was required to access the log. With that worked out, things just weren't lining up as they should so we tried a few adjustments and were eventually granted access, but seems like the CO had forgotten to include the log and lid after a recent maintenance check! Ooops! No worries....a quick message to the CO to let them know we had replaced the log and all was good. Stamped as Capital Crunchers to save log space.
Thanks for the fun hide, Aussieben Giving this one a fave!

19,126. Found as part of the Capital Crunchers Team (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, nibletricecakes and Joolay) during the Canberra Invasion of Maitland region over the long weekend.
Day 3 of our invasion. And after a HUGE day yesterday we had our sights set on heading up and getting Frying Pan for our JASMER, plus other caches as they appeared on our route. After finding Frying Pan we headed back to Maitland for some more quality caches. Another high FP cache caught our attention so off we went and - eventually - parked nearby and walked in. This really is a fun cache to do. It took a bit of fiddling but we were soon inside - to find nothing? Lol. After calling the CO we left a temporary log and headed off to the next one.
Thanks aussieben !! Fav Point of course !

This was totally awesome. And I would give it 5 fav points if I could. Excellent effort and a great container. I have given more favorite points in this trip and I ever have in a weekend.
Today was the day we were heading up to Frying Pan to finally get that early month ticked off for my Ausmer. It was supposed to be an quick trip up but we ended up 4WD'ing the entire circuit after looking for a Trig up the back. And then we had a closed bridge so again a detour. So we were late getting back to Maitland to continue our cache attack. Its been a lovely day and looking forward to picking more caches around the area.
Up in Maitland with Nibletricecakes, Fitzy1965, MinnieK and Specimen X, to do the Dogs Head going by the name of Capital Crunchers

Very quick find but I thi k the owner needs to do some maitinance on it as the log bag has holes and i think the cache container needs some repairs too. TFTC
Found today to find some more high fav point caches for the Cache Creation Celebration Souvenirs. Awesome cache even though the cache wasn't locked when we got there, met LarkinForce1 at the cache about to lock it up, but we signed it first!

On our way to the Cache Carnival Celebration event at the Stockade, we're cruising between some higher FP caches, filling in some spots as we go. This was our main destination cache today, I'm not sure why we hadn't got here before? Lucky for us, as it is a high FP gem! We parked and walked down the reserve, watching of course for snakes in the grass all the way. On approach to GZ I was startled when LarkinForce1 appeared from behind the tree! Lucky for us again was that the cache was already open.... We signed the log and then checked out the very cool container. Awesome. Once it was closed I then couldn't work out how to get it back open! TFTC Aussieben.... FP from me

A bit of an easier find than expected as was not locked properly. But locked it up after another cacher turned up, TFTC.
Found with littlemissleft and littlemisslonglegs fantastic cache

This was to be our final cache this visit, so it needed to be a good one, and it was! After a nice walk across grassy slopes and past the really noisy dogs, we arrived near GZ and reluctantly entered the area probably swarming with snakes on such a warm day (luckily it wasn't). I saw the cache holder, it couldn't have been more obvious if I had fallen over it, what a great piece of work! I then set out to find a way to get at the cache itself, and after a short while managed to do something which allowed me to get to the log. I am still not sure what I did but I think luck played a major role. Thanks aussieben for a top construction, we did enjoy this cache which is now one of our favourites.

Found the site without any problem, then tried various things to open the cache, none of which seemed to work. An exercise in mental arithmetic! Finally, more by good luck than good management it seemed, it worked. Yay! A fav from us. Tftc!
Found with Roostaman while visiting the area.

Down for the mega from Townsville with Karicka and targeting interesting puzzles, high D/T and most favourited today.
We found a couple of smaller versions of these yesterday. We had a bit of trouble with the numbers and tried a few things before getting lucky. The third ring seems not to grip. Lucky for use as we couldn't really make sense of the clues.
Fun hide. Thanks for the effort you've gone to in placing.

Today we decided to collect some target caches and this was one of them
We really love caching because it takes you to places you would otherwise never know about. Also the inventiveness if some caches are inspiring
Thanks for the cache Aussieben this did not disappoint .

We accidentally took the log book we will return we will return on Saturday the 17/2/18
After disappointment at “Memory Training”, elsewhere in the park, I decided to give this one a go and was delighted when it worked perfectly, though it took a few minutes to get to the log.
This is a very impressive construction. Thanks aussieben, definitely a favourite from me.
