Quick find after solving the puzzle a few weeks ago, thanks joshwa27 for all the history and jigsaw caches you have placed for our enjoyment.TFTC
The lid has completely fallen off the container, but very surprisingly the log was still dry. Great spot. TFTC
Solved these when they all came out so seems like a long time between solve & being in the vicinity.
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Joshwa27

Weekend trip to Rylstone July 2021. I had decided to head out west to spend some time getting caches I was not able to on my last visit.
Today was my last day where I drove home from Rylstone via Oberon and Goulburn. It has been nice to be able to visit a few more of this long solved History of caches.
Thanks for the cache Joshwa27

Day 1 of our roadtrip to Canberra and back, a recreation of one we did 3 years back, to now share with our youngest team member. With the Putty Road closed, we diverted through Sydney traffic (joy) and onto the (smoky) Bells Line of Road to Bathurst, our stop for the night. We managed 18 finds for the day, with just 1 DNF. A good start.
We diverted off the highway to grab some out of the way caches today, and another little group of the 'history-of's. This was a quick find - TFTC!

Found with sjg66 on a three day TRLT and "History of" blitz. 220 caches over 1100kms. Lots of great scenery, but also lots of dust as it is all so dry out here at the moment. Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining these caches.
O319 and I have headed off for 3 days of caching. Mainly targeting TRLT and "history of" caches.
A nicely completed history cache that brought me to a nice & peaceful place – many thanks again TFTC / TFTH / SL
Find No.3606
Found with sesblocker. We have ventured out of Sutherland Shire to do some TRLT series. This is our 3rd day of this series. Track in was a bit slippery due to it raining now.
Good coords and nice hide!

We had all sorts of problems getting to this one - we punched the correct coords into our car GPS, which had us going through small forest roads that we suspect wouldn't have got us there in the long run anyway. When the roads got too small and wet for us to pass through and we turned round, the GPS kept saying: Where possible, make a U-turn. Eventually we found a sign leading to Rydal, and many more exhortations to make a U-turn, we finally got close enough to GZ to walk across some bush to nab the prize. This did take quite a long time, so it was with great relief and joy that we were able to record it as Found. TFTC!
Heading to Portland today with time on my hands, I decided I'd take the scenic route there from Lithgow, travelling via Sodwalls, Tarana, Meadow Flat and Sunny Corner (with a couple of diversions thrown into the mix) in a last ditch attempt to earn the final Hidden Creatures souvenir. I thoroughly enjoyed the drive and in the end, was able to pick up enough caches along the way, I think, to get me the turtle souvenir.
This one took a little longer than I would have liked because when I I spied the cache, it was on the wrong side of a barbed wire fence ... but no problem, just time, to find the way to the other side. Apart from a smiley, it was nice to see that I picked up 10 months of unlove here as well.
I quite like these history cache so thanks again for putting them together Joshwa27.

Found this cache at 12.25pm after spending the morning here for there Daffodil Festival. It was so lovely to see so many happy people and the display of daffodils was amazing. Although it was a very windy day.
Thanks joshwa27 for the hide.

Taking advantage of the long weekend, Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head up to the Lithgow area caching along the way. Our main aim was the Jenolan Caves MPT with a few extras here and there. We appreciated the wide variety of caches found and thank the CO's for their caches.
14254. Found during a run through the Oberon to Lithgow region this long weekend Monday.
Minniek and I decided that a day trip up to Lithgow was in order to grab the Jenolan Caves MPT and any others along the way. This was the next find for the day. Another Pre-Solved Puzzle. Quick find at GZ. Log signed, cache replaced, and we headed off.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches - it was a great run up through this area.

Another interesting little town. I hope we are getting some of this precipitation at home TFTC
The day had turned really nasty by the time we reached the vicinity of GZ and, after thrashing around in the wet grass for some time, we were about to give up, when one of our group read the updated coordinates. After changing our location, we were able to spot the pesky little thing, sign it and retire to the car to attempt to dry out and warm up. TFTC joshwa and for the history lesson.

### Trip to the bush ###
Day 1
We started our trip in Rouse Hill towards the bush region of New South Wales.
Our first stop was in Springwood where we took a little bush walk and found this letterbox in the middle of the bush. We then visited the geological sandstone attraction and informed ourselves about the geological features of this region.
We then continued our trip towards Katoomba where we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the Blue Mountains at Echo Points. We took a little walk and reached the 3 sisters form the originally 7 sisters. Now it was starting to get dark and we continued on to the town to look for a couple of more caches before finishing off the day.
Day 2
At early morning, we relaxed once more for a little while longer at Eco Point before we continued our trip towards Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
We had a little break at Lake Lyell where we visited the dam and had some snacks.
We then continued towards Ryell and high up to Mount Lambie where we were lucky to spot many animals again.
We left the main road just before Bathurst towards the quiet countryside past Peel, Wattle Flat and the historical Sofala. We had a coffee break at Sofala where we drove around the old historic town.
We then continued our drive on Hill End Road and we socked in the beautiful nature. We were lucky to see many animals on the way.
We were welcomed by many roos at Hill End.
We left Hill End and drove towards Hargreaves towards our night stop at Windeyer. We slept at Bushland Tourist Park once again in the beautiful train accommodation. We had dinner at the local pub where we had nice pasta.
Day 3
We had to first free the car from all the ice before we could start our trip towards Mudgee. It gets cold out there at night, around -1 degrees.
We drove towards the west to Wellington and Stuart Town, Mumbil, Dam Arthur and finished the day in Dubbo.
We were astonished by NSW untouched nature and beautiful wildlife.
Day 4
We started the day with a little trip outside of Dubbo’s bushalnds.
We then strolled around the city of Dubbo and visited the beautiful Botanic Graden of Dubbo. The Gardner’s put so much work into maintain this beautiful spot. Well done.
We started the trip home towards Sydney past Wellington, Mudgee and Portland.
We drove past the Mt Piper Power station and informed us about the tours.
We continued towards Sydney.
We hereby want to thank all owners for all the work you have done in maintaining the caches. You have showed us many beautiful and also many hidden spots which we wouldn’t have found without the caches.
Thank you

Colouring in the map with smilies today - this time it's Rydal, The Corners, Portland and Wallerawang. This was my first for the day.
We stayed in Bathurst over night , we have been solving puzzles in preparation for out trip. An early start after big breakfast. Good to see good weather after all the rain we been having. After a little search the cache was found. TFTC
Second day of our weekend around Bathurst/Lithgow. Again lots of puzzles and lots of fun. Some tricky and a few DNF as well, but overall very happy with the results. J+J.AU as my caching friend made a big difference, thanks guys for having me along once again!

Today was a day for a country tour courtesy of some of *JOSHWA27*'s History series. This was the third one of the day and was a nice quick and easy find. The puzzles had been worked our previously and as the co-ordinates were good there were no problems making the find. After the log had been signed the cache was put back where we had found it. Thank you for setting these history puzzles and bringing us to this area and thank you for placing the cache for us and other cachers to find.
More interesting history learnt, was not in the first place we looked, so we looked in a 2nd spot and there it was.
Knowing I was likely to be in the area today, last night I solved a few of this series just in case we happened to be close to one or two of them. Well, it was two of them and this was the first.
Nice puzzle and location, thanks JOSHWA27.

Another of eight of the CO's caches today ... all either with an excellent history lesson or in a picturesque location - or indeed both.
A google search gave up the history of Rydal and the needed answers to convince evince.
The Navman with its manual input of (converted) coordinates chose to navigate first via the bare Lidsdale forest ... deciding to ignore its contrariness (even nearing the GZ it wanted to be a dozen kilometres away, until approaching the parking spot it suddenly decided 600m was nearer) and navigating by braile in a convoluted way the 'mushroom managed to find a likely place to park. Thankfully the Garmin was directed by the spot-on coords. A cache found, log signed and replaced. TFTC *JOSHWA27*

#3290- I parked on the dirt road nearby, just as three motocross bikes belted past me. I made my way across to the fence of the cemetery, looking around in the bush, but to no avail. Turned around and spied a likely spot through the fence. Not being the adventurous type, I thought better of squeezing through and walked around for an easy find. Thanks- really enjoying these mysteries. 4 today and only one DNF.
Historic indeed, thanks big brother for yet another history lesson i have already 4gotten. I'm sure something will.stick 1 day.

This was another time when the car GPS wanted to take us on some long route, which would have added about 5km to our trip. But we saw the sign for the cemetery and just followed it. The 4WD people looked like they were having a fun time, learning how to drive their cars in to and out off strange places.
We drove past them & parked near the cemetery fence. Then realised the entrance was at the other end [:o]. Another interesting old cemetery to walk through, for an easy cache find.
Thanks

Tftc. Has a great time whilst in the area. Picked up a few Geo's here and there.
Enjoyed every single find, some were quick and others took a bit longer.
Mutch fun was had. Thanks for that

Many of the eighteen caches we found today were in cemeteries, this being one of them. We passed some people in the bush on our way there. They looked like they were practising their 4WD skills at a location that seemed almost made for it. We parked at the wrong end of the cemetery, then realised that we had passed the gate, so we drove back to it and then walked into the cache. I saw an unusual grave on the way back to the car. It was sandstone and the left side of the grave had a carved material draped like a curtain over it. As a result, the grave inscription had to be skewed to the right to accommodate it. I wondered what the significance of this unusual design was. Thanks for showing us.
Had a nice look at Rydal, was a lot of fun with beautiful scenery and some unexpected fun 4WD ing.
Unfortunately, our team of 8 could not find it, even with the hint and cross checking coordinates on different GPSs. The difficulty and terrain should definitely be higher for this cache, as we spent some time 4WD ing and bush bashing to get to GZ.
Hope to visit this cache again, maybe around the time of the Rydal daffodil festival.
