#20923. Day 1 of a short holiday over the border in NSW with Robmc and the geodoggies. We had a pleasant journey gathering caches along the way before arriving in Cootamundra for the niight. Enjoyed the sunshine and the scenery once the fog lifted.

Unfortunately we did not sight the sillver post or plaque near GZ. Interesting information on the cache page. This is certainly a beautiful old building and it is a shame that it is no longer in use. Might be time to update the cache notes to remove the wording that the cache is a 400ml Sistema.

Thanks The Farmers 5

Day one on our short trip north to find some better weather. BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I are heading to Cowra and back. Tonight we have made it as far as Cootamundra.

Interesting history of the familiar face on the $10 note.
Might need to alter the description about the cache size though.
Thanks, Robmc.

What a lovely old building. SL at 11.34am #9797 TFTC The Farmers5 as we travel towards Junee & Cootamundra

05-Jun-22
The old school looks a bit sad, and would have been a magnificent building. Mr SKI spent many years teaching in small rural school like this one and is always sad to see them closed. They were always the centre of rural communities.

It was time to move on from Wagga, so we said goodbye to good friends and set off on our way to Cootamundra via Bethungra. Its still bitterly cold, but thankfully today there were only a few showers and we managed to dodge most of them.
It was mainly traditionals today although we managed an interesting Virtual and a couple of multis.
All in all a casual day traveling with plenty of stops..

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache The Farmers 5.

I joined a weekend away to 'The Rock' with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibletricecakes, Gliss! & Cosmonaut97. The main aim was a climb up the Lion of Kengal and the caches in the Olympic Highway Stock Reserve. We achieved everything on the agenda, even though some of took longer than expected. We had a great weekend staying at Baby&MrsGopher's place where the hospitality was fantastic. On Sunday afternoon I headed out by myself to Henty and Wagga Wagga. On Monday I spent the morning in North Wagga and on the Coolamon Highway.

My last day around the Wagga Wagga area took me to the northern areas.

Thanks for the cache The Farmers 5

16-Feb-20
Was bird banding near West Wyalong but it was a very quiet weekend so we headed off early. Did cache maintenance on a couple of local caches I own, got a coffee and looked for wildlife at the Wyalong wetlands before heading home. With the time I had I could get a few caches so the route was slightly longer via Temora. Turned out to be a TB day so traded a few which was nice.

This has always been missing when I have passed so I thought I would take advantage of recent replacement and sign it before it goes again. This is weird spot - access via a private drive way, the school is vacant but the house behind is clearly occupied. Glad I found this smaller cache quickly (would be a bugger in longer grass) and so could quickly get out of dodge.

Wagga Wagga March 2019 trip. Day 3. The day started with and event and ten took me North to Coolamon to make a start on those caches before finishing in Wagga with the water pond caches. I spent quite awhile poking around in the deep leaf litter, listening to the householder shouting about something, hopefully not me.

Thanks.

Headed out to Brucedale for a catchup with Mary today. Now that the school has closed down I need her help to learn some new things, they say that I am unable to go to a normal school, I disturb the other kids to much. Upon arriving she welcomed me in and we had a little chat and some morning tea before we began. Some of the things she helped me with today was my maths and grammer.

We finished up, talked about some of the past and what will be happening in the future then arranged for my next visit. My ride from [@AngusnmumyAdventures](http://coord.info/PRRD6GG) was there to collect me and we headed home.

Thanks for this cache The Farmers 5 Lil Donna

The Lost Wanderers were heading north to attend the society event of the yea with Skullracing when we needed to make a pitstop. A convenient cache happened to be along the way that had a great history lesson attached. Mr Lost Wanderer and some other bloke from Skullracing whose name we can never remember jumped out and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache Farmers 5.

22-Apr-18
We were on our way to sunny Temora with the Lost Wanderers to attend a very good friends 40th birthday, and this one popped up on the screen so wheeled in for a look.
The two dads jumped out to make the quick find while the mums tried to keep the kids in the cars. After a small amount of circling, the cache was found and log book signed while a close by dog was having a loud chat with the wind.
Thanks Greg for the history lesson.
Cheers

Tftc. Great cache.

A favorite point for this one from me. I had thought this was going to be just another edge of the road cache as I picked my way through the long grasses. My was I in for a treat! What I observed was a beautiful old school house, something I hadn't expected and was delighted to find. I quickly pulled up the cache description and began to read all about some of the original settlers of this area. Fantastic. I do hope the wonderful piece of history isn't going to be allowed to go into disrepair.

The cache was found easily, it was visible as I approached, I signed the log and carefully replace where I had found it.

Found this cache on our way to the OZ Geo Muster at Morisset NSW.

Found by Mary & David at 0915. Stayed in town last night and today we're on our way north again, to eventually attend the Oz GeoMuster. Lovely sunshine already, and we can hear the magpies but no cows. Mary was delighted with the historical cache notes. Earns a FP. Our thanks to The Farmers 5.

Suscoe was out and about in the Riverina today in the very good company of Phetlern.
It was a very cold start to the day with sub zero temperatures, but this slowly gave way to a sunny day which felt warmish at times.
We headed north of Wagga today and had a great day out travelling the country roads.
Thanks to The Farmers 5 for this hide, a favourite from us for the importance of this location. Well done for this one and nice to say hello to you as well this evening.
Getting dark now, time to head back to the warmth.

Along with Suscoe, we made our way to Junee via the "Friendship Run". The weather was perfect, allowing us to seek out a variety of caches, some of which were very sneaky. As always the co'ordinates lead us to a place with significant historical connections.

Thanks The Farmers 5 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

TFTC. We had to drive into Wagga Wagga from Temora this morning. The trip in was a quick hour. It took us 2 1/2 hours to drive back as we attempted caches along the Olympic highway.
We have previously read about Mary Gilmour in Silverton, this sort of completes the Gilmour history for us, or at least closes a loop.

Cache in good condition.
Travelled to Junee for The Farmers 5 events at the Monte Cristo and the Licorice/Chocolate Factory. Lived in Junee for a few months, returned home for a couple of years and moved to Wagga for 3 years and returned home again. Love it down here. So we were hopeful of bagging a good number of caches this weekend.

Day 3 of my trip was nearly over, so I started heading home and this was the next cache on my list. Parked nearby and walked in to GZ. A quick find at GZ. An interesting area to visit and to have a look around. Log was signed, cache returned and I headed off to the next one.

Thanks again The Farmers 5 !
