Found. Loved the puzzle. Lots of fun with Caperdoodle 2.

Super fun find, gave our brains a workout, favourite point added, the pen in the cache wasn't working so couldn't sign, but took a photo

WP2 is now back in place after the prescribed burn. Whilst in the area we also checked on final GZ & all was well CoolCheers [^]

25-Jun-24
I have removed the 2nd WP due to a prescribed burn in the area today. Will replace when all is clear again.

First time doing multi and not sure what we are doing!!

Headed out to make a couple of finds at Lake Leschenaultia. Walking barefoot in the bush was painful. This cache was the main goal today.I did this cache in two parts. On the first day, I solved WP1 with a lot of difficulty and then headed out to WP2. This one was fun and incredibly clever, but also very tricky. With a lot of help from the CO I got the final coords.Today I headed out to grab the final. TFTC will attach FP.This is my 1018th find!Due to my Ohhellomania (it's a weird medical condition that makes me obsessed with the band The Oh Hellos), I must attach the lyrics of "Like the Dawn"...I was sleeping in the gardenWhen I saw you firstHe'd put me deep,Deep under so that he could workAnd like the dawnYou broke the dark and my whole earth shookI was sleeping in the gardenWhen I saw youAt last, at lastBones of my bones and flesh of my flesh, at lastYou were the brightest shadeOf sun I had ever seenYour skin was gilded withThe gold of the richest kingsAnd like the dawnYou woke the world inside of meYou were the brightest shadeOf sun when I saw youAnd you will surely be the death of meBut how could I have known?### WORD OF THE MONTH ###halcyon | halsn |## adjective ##denoting a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful: the halcyon days of the mid 1980s, when profits were soaring.## noun ##1 a mythical bird said by ancient writers to breed in a nest floating at sea at the winter solstice, charming the wind and waves into calm.2 a tropical Asian and African kingfisher with brightly coloured plumage.Genus Halcyon, family Alcedinidae: many species.# ORIGIN #late Middle English (in the mythological sense): via Latin from Greek alkun kingfisher (also halkun, by association with hals sea and kun conceiving).

What a journey for our 100th find! We did struggle with the padlock at the second spot but got it done in the end! TFTC!

19-Dec-23
Wow what an adventure and brilliant cache. Never seen anything like it such a great idea!

14-May-23
We stayed for a night and grabbed a few caches before we left. Great little puzzle, with all the brains, we got it with 8 friends. TFTC.

06-Dec-22
A great few days away collecting smiley along the way and awesome places to see. Thanks to co’s for all caches. Sorry for the late logs

25-Jun-22
I managed to get the numbers from waypoint 1 but they are almost illegible.I used a torch and moved it around until I got enough contrast and took a photo. They may need replacing sometime in the next 6 months. A bit of bread scratching and we worked out the idea. The old ah ha moment.
We ran out of time to look for the second waypoint and it's been few years since we were last here so it may be a long time before we ever get back to complete it.
We may have to work out an excuse to get away again for a break.

11-Jun-22
Out for a walk around the lake in the rain this morning and we decided to do this puzzle, absolutely loved the assembly required part and we chose the right way to walk around the lake, all in great condition, TFTC

11-Jun-22
So much fun in the rain with sammiiej. Amazing effort went into this

13-Feb-22
This was a quick find for each step but really fun. Enjoyed each puzzle.
I said to my friend, "hey, have a look at this, you'll like this". She then turned around and was a little disappointed and said, "that's not Chris Hemsworth!" Thank for an enjoyable cache.

We are staying in York for a few days with ILT and ventured down to Lake Leschenaultia to grab the caches in the area. Although we both have geo-dogs, we made a plan for one car and one cacher to remain outside the Lake with the dogs so the others could complete the circuit. On a visit a couple of years ago with ILT we walked to the listed co-ords and recorded the initial information. Not able to return until today, so happy to be able to complete the assembly process and finally add our name to the log sheet. Thanks jasenjanine

21-Sep-21
Travelling with richlink using geocaching as our guide. It was a perfect day to cache around the lake and we enjoyed the variety of caches.
Thank you jasenjanine.

26-Jan-21
Well this one has been on my radar for a very long time. It seems every time we would come here the water would win and we would run out of time!
Well this time Thronsy.4 was on board and we left the others swimming and headed off with the baby (3 weeks old!) and another friend to lend a hand
This cache did not disappoint - we loved it and the swimmers would just have to miss out!
A great way to celebrate Australia Day

26-Jan-21
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY! Tho60clan have been wanting to claim this cache for awhile but could never convince anyone to get it with her so due to not being able to swim, myself and the newest addition joined her on her quest along with Kevin from church. Took us a minute at WP1 to figure out that yes indeed what we were looking at was the clue. We then attempted to approach WP2 with a pram and realised that may not be possible. The other two went on ahead and I managed to pull the pram in closer down the geotrail. Had fun figuring out the different clues for WP3. Pleasant stroll and we happened upon the cache in no time. Tftc! FP for all your hard work.

07-Oct-20
We could not decipher the numbers at WP1 so couldn’t complete this one. Maybe next time.

04-Oct-20
Solved everything except putting the name on the final log. Was a little pressed for time so we didn’t get locked in for the night. The lock on the cache required a bit of jiggling and will need some WD40.

03-Oct-20
Meme28,Kapelula ,Geotrakka and I are on a girls day out. With an event in the hills we hit the road early to go collect our solved puzzles and any other caches that took our fancy. After the event we headed this way to complete some of the field puzzles in the area. After finding wp1 we headed to wp2 and Kapelula completed the puzzle. Thanks for the great cache.

03-Oct-20
Out with Kapelula ICNothing and geotrakka. Karen was the brains behind the assembly after the lock was opened as it was very stiff. The CO’s dropped by after our call for help but Karen sorted it all before they arrived. It was great to say hi after their event! Last coordinates allowed a smiley here!

03-Oct-20
What an awesome puzzle. Had a bit of trouble getting into the second part, but persistence paid off. Just as well I don’t mind IKEA assembly! Loved this one, a fave from us!
Found whilst out and about caching around Wundowie, Chidlow and Mundaring areas with I C Nothing, geotrakka and Meme28.

03-Oct-20
Out with ICnothing, Kapelula and meme28 grabbing a mix of puzzles and traditionals with a splash of labs. Stopped by this beautiful spot after the Chidlow event to do this field puzzle. Locks a but sticky. You are very inventive - thanks for the time you put into this.

Been wanting to come over here and walk around the lake for ages... and today was the day Smile Weather was looking ideal for a hike and with it being a little overcast this morning it was a bit quieter here than normal too Smile Plan was to head around the lake picking up the caches on the way, with start & finish point being the café - that way I could grab a coffee at the end and sit down to complete the earthcache. Suspecting what this cache entailed I thought it would also be wise to leave this one to last and take my coffee with me - I might need it to keep me going at WP2! So after walking the lake, grabbing my coffee and making some notes on the EC I headed over to WP1. Very quick find here but had a momentary blank on extracting the necessary coords. Took a photo and headed back to the café for a think. As soon as I sat down I spotted what I needed to do, so was straight off again to WP2. The padlock here was a little tricky but otherwise no problems and I was soon getting stuck in to the field puzzle. Was actually quite nice being alone in the bush, bird song all around, a handy spot to sit and lean back... and a coffee Smile Not what I was expecting at all, haha! Everything was very easy to follow and I soon had the numbers for WP3. Once there it was a nice easy find in an interesting spot (I wonder what was here originally?) and a great end to an awesome and very creative cache. Definitely not something I have seen before and without any doubt at all a favourite! First class effort on pulling this cache together; the usual 'TFTC' does not do it justice so it's a TVMFTC from me Smile

Find 3 of 23 with no DNFs on a beauiful day for biking Lake Leschenaultia. We did a lap of the lake, had lunch, then went back out for a blitz on Chuck's series. We owe our day's entertainment to jasenjanine and Team Barritts. Thanks so much to all of you for some quality caches.

Unique. Ingenious. Challenging. Satisfying. Fun! The hint meant WP1 was found straight away and deciphered. The pieces at WP2 were exposed so we covered them back up a bit better. Actually calculating the co-ords we did a couple of times to make sure and had two possibles but found the cache safe and sound very quickly. No surprise this cache has a very high FP% including one from us. Very well done indeed.

13-Jul-19
This was find #1677 for me and the best one I've ever found. Took about 15 minutes to find the clue at WP1. An extended walk to WP2. I read out the instructions and my son assembled the thing. We did the required testing and came up with viable coordinates. Another extended walk to WP3 to find the final cache. Thanks jasenjanine for all the caches around Lake Lesch and particularly for this beauty.

12-Apr-19
This is our last day at Lake Lesch for this time, more to come we are sure. We started on this field puzzle yesterday, what an adventure! WP1, located, must say we were a bit perplexed but once at WP2 it all made sense as we found and opened the container. On one hand I have assembled a few items in my life, but I am also very slack at reading instructions, and usually only do so when in trouble. But this time my part was to read them to megawat60. We fumbled for a while, and as darkness approached we had something that could be coordinates. WP3 was found today at the end of our FOTT day, a double surprise indeed in finding the ammo can in such a spot.
Thanks for creating an epic field puzzle, jasenjanine, it will be amongst my all time favourites. Wish there was a way to award more than 1 FP....

12-Apr-19
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
This is day 3 of our Lake Lesh camping adventure and today is FOTT territory. After 59 FOTT’s and 2 other trads on the way back to camp we finished the day off with this cache.
We had heaps of fun with this! Starting at the first waypoint, a great way to start.
Then the oh wow factor at stage two and the various attempts at interpreting the numbers but we finally did and yet another oh wow moment and a shudder of terror at the task ahead.
But we tracked on and after nearly contacting the CO over our our error we managed to make sense of it all and got some numbers that made sense!
But it was starting to get dark so home we went, determined to return the next day and presto another of my favorite containers and just so sensible in the environment.
Thanks for the hide and And all the fun attached to this unique multi. Wish I could award more than one favorite point it certainly deserves more

I had started this one 3 years ago when my cousin came to visit and we had to give up due to time of day but of course had lost all details so today Vespistoz and I started from scratch. I must say she showed more patience at WP2 than I could muster and soon we had some likely numbers to plug into the GPS. Found GZ with no problems.

TFTC and your efforts guys

I try to avoid IKEA at the best of times, and would have lost the will to live if Me&B hadn't been with me to tackle this one. However, it was an ingenious idea I haven't encountered before so a definite favourite for that alone! Teamwork definitely got the job done today - not bad for two people who didn't do well at school girl science projects.

07-Oct-18
We headed out today to spend the day around the lake and parkland, we had a great day finding traditionals, solving excellent and creative puzzles. Thanks for all the effort here, a fav for each cache in appreciation TFTC

27-Sep-18
Came back today armed with the coordinates after checking with the CO. An easy find. Enjoyed the assembly part of the cache , even with the over excited geograndkids trying to help tftc

13-Aug-18
Found it. TFTC jasenjanine. Teamed up with ullyssia and papillon367 to form the "A Team"
We had another attempt at more of the Kep Track. A great day to blow the dust of the deadly treadly and enjoy the fresh air. Grabbed a few round the lake as extra finds on the return run.
This one I found fascinating. A really great and different way the get the co-ords. Fav from me.

11-Aug-18
Great cache, a favourite! After riding a section of the Kep track with ullyssia and Photo-Play, we stopped at the Lake on the way back to the car to make a few more finds. This was a lot of fun, thank you jasenjanine.

11-Aug-18
Thank you! Out cycling on the Kep Track with Photo-Play and papillon367. Took the opportunity to grab a few caches around the lake. We grabbed the numbers at WP1 and found WP2 without issue. Some serious teamwork led to a final set of coordinates, where we found the cache. We very much enjoyed this one. Thank you.

13-Jul-18
A family day out geocaching at Lake Lechenaultia for my birthday - loved this puzzle cache! Thanks so much jasenjanine for the time in putting this very clever cache together. Definitely a favourite vote from me!

01-Jul-18
A brilliant cache. Found the initial info and set off for a ride around the lake. Found the second WP and started putting in the combo before realising the lock was already open. Assembled the cache contents as instructed but wasn't 100% confident in the results but went with what on the balance of things seemed to be the best result and headed off to the final. Was very please to find the cache spot on at the coords I had calculated. TFTC.

13-May-18
Picked up the required information on our first lap around the lake. Then stopped for a bit of lunch. Put the information together and went off to find the final. id the deed and our solution was correct. Which surprised us as we weren't confident .

Thanks for the cache. Left and Unactivated BelKen coin in the final.

01-May-18
Replaced tag at WP1 with a clearer one as the original one was fading.

Can't believe that the door handle is broken on the box? There is no need to open the door to find the coords!

Happy hunting Smile

15-Apr-18
After almost losing Lara's phone, we found it and continued onwards to find a poorly constructed wall with the Geocache!!

26-Jan-18
Out with chwiliwr caching.
Signed and returned.
Thanks for the hunt.

26-Jan-18
Very clever and fun. TFTC . Giving a favourite.

26-Jan-18
Out with the better half doing a walk across the end of the lake. Had arrived at WP1 and found .K.B. just about to leave then we found the required information and headed off to WP2. Because we stopped and did another cache on the way we arrived just as .K.B. was finishing up with working out her coordinates. Spend about 7 minutes doing the same before heading off to GZ. Found the cache soon after and the log was signed. Cache returned as found after which we saw the cacher group walking along the track and wondered why they hadn't headed in to GZ until we saw that they had missed WP1 on their first attempt.

Thanks Jasenjanine for the well set up field puzzles and cache.

26-Jan-18
Found while at the Australia Day event hosted by jasenjanine. First attempt failed dismally at the first hurdle but after a little chat with cache owners Astrohiker, Bindi01 and I had a second attempt. Could not understand how we missed the first clue but carried on and finally got the smiley. Awesome work Jasenjanine for a brilliant cache and a well deserved favourite from me.

26-Jan-18
Took 2 goes at this one. How we missed the first clue has got me. We came back later & completed this. One neat multi & lots of work done with this one. Thousand points from me for this one. Well I'd like to give 5 lol. TFTC.

26-Jan-18
Brain fad on the first clue by all us. After seeking advice from the CO's off we went , tails between our legs to try again. There it was!!!.
With grins on our faces off we went on the journey again, arriving at GZ with no problems. What a great cache this is!!!! Fun all the way. Completed the task and on the way again to finish the job and sign the log. Thanks jasenjanine for the BEST cache I have seen. Sorry its only one Fav.

26-Jan-18
Out and about with fellow cachers Astrohiker, Bindi01 and Pete of the Pete&Maz duo while at the Australia Day Event. Failed on the first attempt and unfortunately I was not with the boys when they made second attempt with success. Well done them.

26-Jan-18
Wow, this was a struggle. Needed a few phone a friends. I was out in my weighing on one of the screws so was thankful for some help to get me back on track. Such a lot of work has gone into this hide. Thankful that I could actually find the ammo tin once I had the required info.

19-Nov-17
Nice hide, lots of fun, TFTC!

17-Nov-17
Great fun. We did look around for the first clue and eventually found it. From here on no troubles to the end. Placed a trackable that we picked up last week. Please keep him moving along. TFTC!

12-Nov-17
Here we are again at Lake Leschenaultia Chidlow, for the 31st Maida Vale Masters Open Water Swim. Back in November 2015 at the swim we found other caches and then decided to tackle Assembly Required. I located, after some difficulty I might add, WP1 and then walked to WP2 and after realising what was required we had insufficient time to complete the required assembly. Fully intending to finish off the cache at the 2016 swim.

My hip put to an end to our plans for 2016 with a hip replacement occurring just prior to the swim. So with the new hip in fine working order we retuned yet again for the 2017 swim and just as importantly the long awaited completion of Assembly Required.

So after the swim and lunch we headed straight to WP2 and got to work. My daughter and her boyfriend assembled the contraption (looking after dad's new hip) that was used to determine the final coordinates for the cache. This delicate operation required some judgment but in the end we come up with some promising figures and off we headed.

Our patience in determining the figures paid off when we located the cache at our calculated GZ. Signed the log and headed back to the lake for another swim. This time just to cool off. Most enjoyable multi requiring a favourite point from us. Smile

Thanks jasenjanine for the cache.

We decided a nice walk around Lake Leshanaultia was the order of the day on such a beautiful day and this was to be the first cache tackled. Searched high and low for the required info at wp1 without success so abandonned the hunt and went to do the other caches around this picturesque lake. After circuiting the lake, we stopped at the cafe for a well earned drink and a bite to eat. Checked the logs for this one again and decided what i had previously dismissed must have been the numbers so trapsed back and wrote them down. Studied them and finally the penny dropped and we were on our way to wp2. Despite the warm weather we braved the bush on a fairly reasonable track (with my big gandalf stick) and found the required container. I read while muggle husband constructed and we soon had the bits together. ( ikea is our go to store) Then the fun began as finding the right location was not easy. First attempt at getting the coords for wp3 gave us the wrong total so redid everything. Came up with a reasonable set of coords but we were not going overland...so back to the main track and another long walk to gz. Once there, we knew we must have been in the right location due to the unexpected items surrounding the cache. Signed log and decided to take the long way back to the lake as it passed by another cache that we had originally decided we weren’t going to get. A bonus. Wow. Epic cache which we are so glad to add to our geocache collection. Thanks jasenjanine! So appreciate your efforts to keep caching a surprise. Almost converting my muggle husband who doesn’t mind accompanying me on these type of caches. A fave of course.( just been informed we’re out of faves so will return when have earned another...think bristag’s wherigo took our last)

08-Oct-17
I had been looking forward to this cache, but unfortunately it was at the end of our walk around the lake and my non-geocaching family had run out of patience by then... I had a brief look for WP1 but couldn't spot it before I had to get back to the car. Next time!

16-Sep-17
Great cache. Definitely a fav point from me.

26-Jul-17
Fantastic puzzle, wish I could give it more favourite points. TFTC

Enjoyable adventure to find this cache thanks Smile enjoyed meeting some fellow cachers along the way too

27-Dec-16
We packed a picnic and headed out to the Chidlow/Wundowie area. The plan was to hit Lake Leschenaultia and some other of the great caches in that area.

Well, what an adventure. We spotted WP1, but it was surrounded by people. We assumed (correctly it turned out) that they were geocaching as well. We waited a while for them to work out what they needed then joined in and said hello.

They left, we grabbed what we needed and worked out WP2, and decided ( due to the weather) we would drive. We parked right bead Chidlows Wells and met up with them again. We left the other group finding chidlows well, and headed off.

At WP2 we weee greeted with an fabulous field puzzle. The Gordon and I really had fun assembling everything and working out the coords. We had just completed when the group arrived. We put everything away and left them to it.

We initially chose the path that followed the tracks. About half way, the geoson gave up and wanted to go back. The geowife took off with him, so I chose the cross country path. A nice walk in the beautiful weather and I was at the final location.

Love finding an ammo can and especially after a great fun adventure.

A fave point from us

jasenjanine - SVKR_WA found your cache *Assembly Required on 27/12/16, 12:56. This is my find #1718 and find #11 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

A clever set of challenges. Thanks

What a beautiful warm Perth summer day it was. We decided to take the visiting family to the Lake for some swimming and paddling, and of course, have a go at this highly recommended cache. After enjoying some summerly activity, a picnic lunch and some ice cream we made the way to WP1. It took a couple of minutes to realise where to look, and another couple and a number of ant bites to work out where to go next. Off we went our way to do some assembly. We found the waypoint ok, used the code provided wisely, then opened the box.....at which point Daddy Laxa spat the dummy and decided it's too hard and we'll head back. Granted, he had been off the last couple of days and was dehydrated with a headache and it was hot, but come on! As giving up was not an option, Mummy and the kids took over. With a bit of pre-schooler work and mum's helping hand, we worked out the coordinates needed. Dragging along two whinging kids and a Daddy we made it to GC. Seeing a possible hiding spot invigorated the sweating and tired kids. Finding a "treasure" just has this effect:-) We signed the log, retrieved the hamster trackable and moved our way. Thanks for this clever and innovative cache. Mummy and the kids award a favourite point, Daddy will join as soon, I'm sure.

We hadn't planned to come this way but when we did this looked tempting. No problems at any stage (apart from flies). A well thou thought out cache. Fav point.

Probably my second last day of caching in WA for some time, so trying to knock some off my must do list. This one has been on the list since it was published, so very pleased to have made it here today.

Had trouble at WP1 as I didn't immediately recognise the tag when I found it, so kept hunting around for something else. The penny dropped after studied a photo of the tag for a bit, so I was soon on the way to WP2. No problems here ... followed the instructions and got the numbers ... checksum was good, so off to the final ... I thought.

Got to my GZ and wandered around in ever increasing circles looking in all the likely spots. Thought some more about the numbers and tried another GZ, but nothing there either. Back to the original GZ for another look around before finally phoning a friend, who gave me coordinates for a location about 200 metres from my GZ, so I wandered over there and found the cache. Interesting location. .

Given the problems I had at WP1 and the final, I'm glad everything went well at WP2 to give a bit of balance to the situation.

SL. TNLN. Thanks for the hide jasenjanine ... fav

Finally found it! Got the wrong coordinates from stage 2 at first but there were only two possibilities in the end! Added a "hamstercache" trackable but it wasn't in our inventory so can't place it on the app - hope the next person who comes along knows what to do with it!

Originally logged as clan-wallace, gradually transitioning to new name

16-Sep-16
I had seen these new jasenjanine caches popping up around Wundowie, and have been just dying to get out there and do them. A plan was finally hatched with Clan-Wallace to head out and grab some.

This was the first one for the day, and one of the caches that had really piqued my interest. We pulled up in the nearby parking and began searching for WP1. Was not what I expected to find at all. Armed with the code and coordinates we headed off to the next stage. After reading the cache description awhile back, I had formulated ideas as to what it might be...I am happy to say I was completely wrong, so it was such a surprise to see the contents of WP2. Mrs Clan-Wallace wanted to just dive right in, whilst I wanted to take the more structured approach. Eventually we had a workable set of coordinates for the final and we were off. The final was a nice easy find of a nice-sized and well-stocked container.

The attention to detail of this cache just blew me away. This was such a clever and fun hide! Thanks so much for making/placing this cache, so much work clearly went into this. Unfortunately I can only give one favourite point.

Maccasreps hatched a plan to head for the hills & as I am usually a golf widow on a Friday morning he asked if I wanted to tag along. He had already picked out some great caches & this was one of the best. We thought we were scuppered as there was a piece missing, but I spotted it in the undergrowth about 3 metres away. How did that happen!?
Oh jasenjanine we do miss you down in the suburbs! Fantastic, wonderful, just great. ...sorry only 1 favourite point. TFTC

26-Jun-16
Well, isn't this just a fabulous cache. I'd give it half a dozen fave points if I could.

It didnt start off too well as we had great difficulty locating the first WP. After 10 mins searching bi realised there was a very helpful hint which led me right to the information required, but I didn't look too closely and dismissed the numbers. The geokids were getting restless so we decided to walk around the lake, grabbing the other caches for geodon SpiderJockey07 who didn't have his own caching account when we last visited here a couple of years back.

I messaged the CO as we walked and she confirmed the numbers I found were in fact what I was looking for. I think I was put off by the metal plate description (it's not really). A closer inspection of said figures gave me the coords and clue I needed and off we went to WP2.

Omg, my heart sank when I realised what was required next. This is not my forte. But we've come this far... The geokids got straight to it whilst I muttered a few Scandinavian words under my breath... What do you know, kids had the puzzle solved in no time and a sensible set of final digits was quickly calculated. Time was against us so we forwent the path and went as the crow flies through the bush to make an quick find of the ammo box.

Loved it, hated it, loved it, you sick puppies!! Could this be my new fave Perth cache??? Tftc and all the rest Smile

So very cool.
Loved every stage of this adventure cache.
Went looking for a popular cache to do and we can see why it's a favourite for geocachers.

Thank you so much for the effort you put in to put this cache together.

Headed out for an afternoon with barnzy12 towards Northam. After picking him
Up and being told just wait a minute I need to bring a few things out I got rather suspicious. I at this stage had no real idea where we were heading and what we were to find today.

Steve as always thinks ahead, stays up late and develops a plan. Out he came with a ladder....... Then a canoe and said lets pack them in and go.

In the car he stated he wanted to do a sky, land and water day. I was intrigued to say the least.

The ladder would be used to help us climb a tree and the canoe to save us getting wet instead of going for a "light" swim as its getting rather cold now.

We started of getting some Kep track caches on the way to Northam.
Then stopped in for a field puzzle or two prior to making it to Northam.

Most caches were found in good condition with one DNF and a few a little water logged after the recent storms.

We hopped to find enough today to get B12 closer to the magical 6000 finds that he is hoping to log for the WA Goes Big event in 2 weeks. See a lot of you there.

TFTC! Had a days caching planned with Cravo10 as we haven't really gone out for a full day since our action packed whirlwind 3500 kilometre trip to Kalgoorlie, Leonora, Esperance, kulin and surrounds trip.

Had a sleep in this morning before we headed out on our mission to tackle a few caches on the Lep Track to Northam, with a few others along the way thrown in for good measure.

Planning the route last night i thought of the idea of a Land, Air & Seas day, with the kep track caches forming the land leg, a kayak on the Avon forming the sea leg (river) and the air leg being some tree climbing in wundowie. This was not mentioned to John in the plans as usual as he generally gets apprehensive about these "ideas", so when he turned up I just casually mentioned "I've gotta get a couple of things from the garage", that's when the face changed and I explained about the days "goals"

Anyway we had a later than usual start and tackled a bunch of the caches between mundaring and wundowie along the kep track before deviating to lake leschenaultia. The two field puzzles here chidlows well and assembly required weren't really on the days plans, as I generally have pretty poor form when it comes to field puzzles and I bring along muggle mate come geocacher Numbers Man to solve them which generally costs me a lunch.

Lake leschenaultia turned into the highlight of the day. WP2 of assembly required is probably one of the most fun geocaches I have ever come across. Such a simple task, but quite hard aswell as I struggle to follow instructions!! And chidlows well, was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the earlier logs but we had the container within about a minute of arrival, great job on that one. Tried to take all sorts of backways to grab the final for the assembly required puzzle but should have just walked from wp2, it would have been easier and not wasted thirty minutes of our time.

After completing the lake leschenaultia caches we then continued towards Northam but time was getting tight as we didn't bring any push bikes so we were walking from the car to the cache each time which was slowing Us down significantly. We eventually got to Northam a bit later than expected and grabbed some much needed supplies to refuel the body for our next leg.

We arrived at the banks of the Avon to complete the Avon a swim cache in the geo yaks, which has been on the radar for a while with all the caching growth in the area. We paddled down with a nice strong current pushing us down the river towards GZ, we took some notes from he listing and the maps as we didn't want to take the phones on the water. Was a nice quick find in a logical spot, well the only spot really. And we then paddled back against the strong current which gave the arms a good workout. Only got marginally wet, thankfully as it was a bit chilly!!

We then planned out assault on the tree climbing aspect of the day the eucalyptus cache in wundowie, unfortunately we arrived in darkness and even after coming prepared with an extremely large ladder we still couldn't reach it and didn't want to risk life or limb in the dark for just one cache, so we decided to leave it for another time Sad

All in all another great day out, should be able fo complete the kep series on our next visit to the area which hopefully isn't too far away although the CPS series has really taken a back seat after this series was published!

Thanks to all the COs for their caches. Cheers!

Another Friday morning, another trip to the hills for some caching.
Great morning to be out in the cool weather.
Twelfth and final find of the morning.
Loved this one. After spending a good 5min trying to find wp1 it was pretty much plain sailing all the way. Grabbed your other two caches while on the way to the final. Loved the field puzzle and the final GZ is an odd place, well done on finding this. Yet another fav point coming your way.

Started just after 8:30am. Didn't have to be at work until 11am so plenty of time to get some finds. Log signed and was on my way. TFTC.

Wow! Found it. Was an adventure but all the clues and coords stacked up without a hitch. A tip - don't leave it too late in the day and make sure you can navigate back. A great cache and we left some swaps. www.thesoloavocado.com

Out on a family outing to coincide with attempting to complete this puzzle cache. Found the tag at WP1 (I needed the hint) of to WP2 where the fun begins. Completed the assembly on off too WP3. All in great condition. What a great puzzle cache. Favourite point from us. Signed Log TFTC

After successfully tackling Chidlow's Well I decided to have a look at this one as well. The carpark at the front of the lake was empty today on account of the adverse weather conditions, so I was able to park right near the first waypoint and have a look around.

It took quite some searching, and a check of the hint before I found this waypoint, I was expecting a different type of tag. I keyed in the new coords, and noted the code, and found myself heading back to where I'd just come from.

200+m from the nearest parking was further than I wanted to go as I had the bike in the back of the car, but decided to go for it anyway. Once at the new GZ I found the box easily and opened it with the code, and set about pulling everything apart to put it together - I LOVE IKEA!! I had a great time following the directions, and everything made sense, and I soon had some new coords in hand.

After replacing all the components and the box back to their original condition I headed off to GZ - another 200+m away. I was a bit stressed about my bike in the car, but too stubborn to give up now, and it was a short walk and a quick and easy find once I got there.

Thanks for another awesome cache jasenjanine! It's another favourite from me.

Finally the stars aligned themselves and we had the opportunity and the time to tackle this one. Even the geo-granny was here from South Africa to join the team.

A hot day, so after a swim in the lake and some sustenance at the cafe (which is a very nice cafe, by the way) we hit the track. Waypoint 1 was a quick one, helped by the earlier correspondence here. Wrote down the information, spotted the pattern, got the coordinates and the extra four digits.

Followed the biggest tracks until we had to "go bush" for a little bit. Found two "things", one of which was a little enigmatic, (thinking Arthur C. Clarke's "2001"). Opened the other, more obvious thing using the four numbers. Phew! And now then, what have we here? Not going to give it away, obviously, but everything came together, as it were, in about fifteen minutes. No chance of being muggled here, so no need to rush. Thank you, thank you for providing the CHECKSUM as we would have had one digit slightly out otherwise. Nice touch!

Decided to go straight towards the final coordinates through the not-too-thick bush, with the not-so-bloody-small-anymore younger member of the team getting a shoulder ride because she only had thongs on. Hmmm. Before too long hit another track; right a bit, off the track left a bit and what's that? Found it! Third to find, and after about four months! Signed the log and left one of the geo-granny's African relics.

We have given this a favourite point, as have both of the earlier finders, and if we could we would give it ten. This cache is that good. There's a side of Geocaching which is all quick "Found it" stop-and-grabs, and that's fine. Another side favours the evil nano. And then there's a third-way of geocaching which can be much more satisfying than just gobbling-up the statistics and this cache demonstrates that. Take time out to enjoy the location and work out the puzzle and you will find true Geocaching satisfaction.

Possibly the only thing in my life I've enjoyed in the close company of my mother-in-law. Thanks jasenjanine, I owe you both a beer my friends.

I have been wanting to bring my family here to do this cache ever since i saw it. Every time we planned to do it something would come up and we couldn't make it. This time we had some spare time on our way home and decided to try for it.

WPT1 - I remember seeing this tag as i went past last time but it looked too official and i gave it a fleeting glance (still green but i'm learning not to discount anything). I was thinking of something way different and for some reason my GPSr took me to the other side and i never really went back to it. This time i new before i went back where to look. Smile Today there was so many muggles i just pulled up took a photo and walked back to car. There i worked out the next stop and off we went.

WPT2 - After parking as close as possible (250mtrs) we went of down the trail to the closest point, as we had a stroller i went in grabbed the item and brought it back to the trail where we found a place to work on it. What a fantastic idea, i love building ikea furniture and what not (sick i know Cool ) so it wasn't long before i had the required assembling done (after disassembling what the kids built in the meantime)
They loved working out the final clues and i still cant believe we got it right first go.

WPT3 - Next we had to work out the best way to the next way-point with a stroller Razz, we started off the right way but we got to a point where it could be either way and of course we turn the wrong way.Sad
We decided i'd go and sign and meet back at the intersection and when i arrived i realized it was near to the other trail so after logging i went back down the other trail (which btw took me past another awesome cache Smile ).

Unfortunately the trackable's had not long been removed so i couldn't rescue them Wink , as i had been planning to for so long. I recommend this cache to all and it deserves more visits, it has been extremely well put together, you can see a lot of time has gone into it. We found it nowhere near as daunting as the name suggests and it was immensely fun for the kids, it took us 1 hr and 10 mins with a stroller to complete the whole exercise.

Stopped by today to rescue the trackables in this cache... Sorry, it was not intended that they would stay here that long Sad Really hoping someone can find it soon as Jase spent alot of time constructing it.

WP1 was never intended to be hard either & I have added a hint to help locate it.

Merry Christmas from j&j Smile

We thought correctly that there wouldn't be many people at the lake, so we headed there to attempt the puzzle. Unfortunately we couldn't find the first tag Sad ground zero was a tree stump in the clearing behind the more obvious thing where one one would assume it would be, unfortunately searching around both we found numerous tags but nothing that contained coordinates. Must have walked right past it.

At the lake today with the family for the Masters swim.

Spent some time at WP1 searching for the tag and by the time we had the coordinates and code we had run out of time to find WP2 and work on the puzzle. This one will have to wait for our return which may be in a years time when the next Masters swim is held in November 2016.

Thanks jasenjanine for the cache.

*FTF* at 9.50AM
Went to visit the CO of this cache on the weekend after they moved miles away and we hadnt seen them for a few months. They mentioned at the time they were waiting for this cache to be published and we were hoping it was going to happen when we were up there but unfortunately it didnt happen. Of course it gets published the next morning so we thought it will be a while before we are back up that way and then the next day they have another one published......Last night we noticed there was still no FTFS so we decided we would leave early this morning (6.15 am) and drive the 70 kms and hopefully get the 2 FTFS. We got to the first waypoint and we both just had a case of cache blindness. We must have walked around in circles for about 20 minutes before we found the tag and yes the co-ords were good. Once we worked out the info needed we headed off to the next waypoint. We quickly found the container unlocked it and all i can say is thank god i had the geohubby with me as i proberly would still be there now lol....Im not going to say anymore about this stage so i dont ruin it for anyone else but once we worked out the co-ords we doubted our workings out and we changed them. After going to where we thought was correct it turns out we were wrong so we tried again and we were wrong yet again so by now i decided to ring the CO and i told her what our original co-ords were and she tells me we were correct to start with and i can now see why we thought we were wrong. Third time lucky we walk again and the geohubby finds the cache and thank god after all that we were FTF YIPPEE.... A definate favourite point from us and i hope more people come out to do this one as a lot of effort has gone it to making this one TFTC jasenjanine
