Oh dear we thought we were really clever by crossing the river earlier but then realised we actually didnt need to doh! So a hilarious mud crossing later we were at the caches doorstep. Log needed a bit of tlc as was wet so popped another baggie in there. Signed and replaced. Onwards we go. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment whilst were out making memories
We had had this series on our radar for some time now and today was the day to collect the smilies. Cheers and TFTC.Gday there ShortcutHicksy, we were in this area today and found your cache Wungong River #4 GC61V15. Our name was added to the log book at 8:30am on 25 February 2024. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 14459.
Enjoying this beautiful morning on this wonderful little track hunting some caches. This was our next one. The cache was located with no trouble and we soon had our names on your log book. We returned your cache back to where we found it. TFTC ShortcutHicksy
Found with axell33 and enjoying the walk trail and sunshine. What a lovely area to go for a walk/cache! Another quick find here. Thanks for the hide ShortcutHicksy.
So close to home.and yet so rural. A quick find once I'd worked out how to get here. Unfortunately I find this out in the open without lid and log. Have sent photo proof to CO.
Yay found it! Was just on th ground so i stuck it up where i think its spose to be.
Finished work a little early today, so thought I'd cash in by getting a small series and this fit the bill nicely.
Had no trouble here, but a bit of a sad spot with all the rubbish in the river. TFTC ShortcutHicksy.

Decided to enjoy the sunshine and tackle this series today. Like the previous finder, I started at #3, then onto #4 & #5. Then at #1 a muggle horse rider & a very loud barking dog had me hot footing it up to #2 before getting back to the car. I drove round to the Palomino Reserve and quickly had #1 in hand (clever camo). Few minutes later, had worked out the co-ordinates for the final puzzle and took another walk to find it.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy for great little series.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy for great little series.
I was in the area today, and so I decided that I would have a go at tackling this series. I parked near #3 and walked down the river to #5, I then went up the trail to find the other two. All were found without trouble. Thanks for a great walk on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
ShortcutHicksy, I found your cache ‘Wungong River #4’ today. It was the fourth find of seven finds for me today and brings my total count to 835. The cache was found in a good condition so I added my signature to the log book and I replaced it as I found it. Thank you for the cache, the hide and for bringing me to this location.

Had to trek to Bunnings Armadale today after work and once the steam cleaner was in the car, remembered this series of caches that had been taunting me for quite some time. No way would we be here in summer....ugghhh! Decided the timing would never more opportune so we called in on the way home. Tried for number 1 first but couldn't work out how to access it so switched to the river series. Heaps of water everywhere after yesterday's downpour so out came the gum boots from the boot. So glad I store them there. Sqwelched my way to number 2 and 3 as well and made quick finds. Found thanks to a generous hint. TFTC, ShortcutHicksy. All well with cache.
Hey guys we found the cache but it was fully waterlogged, could not sign the log but still able to leave a gift. Will message the owner, about fixing.
Found it, no pencil on me But I've left something to find and continue it's journey
Happy New Year!! And what better way to start the new year off than with a day out caching. Teamed up with Mr Jackylegs to come and find the newer ones around the Mundijong/Byford/Armadale area. No problems finding this one. Thanks for the smiley ShortcutHicksy
Found Wungong River #4, redeeming a previous DNF. It is a good thing with this find – got the C=? . No trackables to trade TNLN SL TFTH ShortcutHicksy.
Decided to do the SCH series around Palomino reserve walk trails. After the latest rains some of the trail is a bit damp. Keego found this one..
thanks for the cache SCH

I have competed successfully at many shows here over the years, its one of my favourite grounds. I thought being a Saturday it might be quieter, however when I arrived I saw a very familiar uniform of a Young riders Dressage club is used to be a member off. So the Dogs and I headed out for a lovely walk starting at 5 because it had quieter access with the dogs and making our way through the series to one before heading to the final.
#4 was my number 2 and a quick find and sign in a nice quiet spot TFTC ShortcutHicksy

We went for a drive down south and on the way back took some time to walk in to do the rest of these caches. Found three without problems but had trouble at the last one.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy for the cache.

Im loving the fact the sun is rising early this time of year. It means an opportunity to grab the odd cache before work.
Working my way around and grabbing the clues as needed. A quick find here again.

After a long day was about to pack up for the day when the weather seemed too perfect, so a quick look local and spotted these caches. You beauty grabbed the Geoboys.
Saw the next cache wasn't too far away so even though it was dark now and no torch the boys egged me on for 1 more. So off we went, perfect geocaching fun and a find each for the boys made their night. Tftc will complete the series soon

After doing #5, my GPSr said #1 was the next closest, so headed off in that direction only to realie that there was a fence and private property between myself and the cache, so set the GPSr on course for #4 instead. Again, a quick find was made here.
SL. Thanks for the hide ShortcutHicksy

Mrs iluvtrekking and I dropped our geo-hubby's off near the road to walk along the rivers edge picking up 3 caches as they went. Although it was pouring with rain, they didn't mind the task we set them. Thanks ShortcutHicksy
A quick find - much better with the shade available now. This is a real test for my back and leg (I recently slipped a disk and am still suffering from a severe weakness in my leg. SL. Thanks to ShortcutHicksy for the cache.
We came from number 5, it's seems we are doing them backwards. Little Sally was enjoying this walk nice and easy for her as she is getting old now. Quick find and info noted thanks ShortcutHiskey for hide/series.
Had about half an hour spare this afternoon so decided to see if I could knock off this new series or at least make a start on it. Ended up doing the whole loop with mixed results, I only had 3 of the 4 required numbers for the final and had a look in a couple of spots on the way back to the car to no avail. I'll be back to finish off the series another day.
Reading some logs on the way to this one and noticed that the cache had been moved slightly, lucky because the GPSr still had the old co-ords in it. Arrived at GZ and wasn't sure if the hint was still applicable but not too worry I found the cache quite quickly. Didn't run into any ants though thankfully.
ShortcutHicksy I found your cache at 4:46pm, this was the 2nd of 3 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2319. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

ROSS1957 was very nice and swept me away this morning, well away from the painting and gardening that is to catch some smilies.
Well done ShortcutHicksy, I like the series and noticed you left the area on the other side of the river for another series, right??!!

Me&B and me out caching.
Major ant problem here, don't stand still.
From a distance I said it's under the yellow cap. I was wrong.

I saw these caches come out a few days ago but today was the first chance i had to come out and find them. a great little series and a pleasant walk along the track to find the caches. Stopped a few times to say hi to some cows and horses but unfortunatley they didnt have much to say....Im giving a favourite point for each one of the caches. Found the container quickly but there must be an ant nest very close as there was ants everywhere. TFTC ShortcutHicksy
Found the ant infested tree & the cache, left a necklace SL & beat a hasty retreat. TFTC
TFTC! Convinced the geowife to take a drive to go for a nice little walk. About half way there she asked is this for a GEO? Yes dear it is....silence.
In the words of the muggle wife: "was a really nice walk except for the constant stopping". Great series SCH and would be good to see more caches coming from you. Thanks

*FTF* @ 7.20am.
One of the few benefits of not being able to sleep in is being awake when new cache notifications come through early. Neither of us was working today so jumped in the car and on the road by 6.40am. This is not area we are familiar with, it is beautiful and perfect for an early morning walk. We didn't pick up any of the TBs. Got a bit excited as we pulled into the car park and didn't see another car and happy to FTF all in the series. Thank you for the series and for bringing us here ShortcutHicksy.
Another quick find whilst enjoying the walk

Another second to find in this series with bellad55. We're happy we almost got the ftf. We'll keep trying! Took TB as it had two keyrings attached, one of a letter P and one letter B....our initials! Thanks ShortcutHicksy!
