Taking the geodogs for a walk on a lovely afternoon Slowly collecting the river series
Paige to the rescue with more bush bashing after I practically died crossing the mud river (complete over-exaggeration but still). Log signed, cache in good condition. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment whilst were out making memories
We had had this series on our radar for some time now and today was the day to collect the smilies. Cheers and TFTC.Gday there ShortcutHicksy, we were in this area today and found your cache Wungong River #5 GC61V16. Our name was added to the log book at 8:37am on 25 February 2024. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 14460.
This cache was just left out, not a hard find at all. Signed log book and I have replaced the cache safely
Out enjoying this beautiful morning and picking up your series as we go. Unfortunately this one got the better of us. We searched high and low but with no success. Its not to say its not there it wouldnt be the first time a good hide has beaten me. TFTC ShortcutHicksy
Searched here with axell33 for a long while with nothing to show for it unfortunately. We looked all over, up and down. Pretty sure it is not here. Thanks for the hide ShortcutHicksy.
Lots of work done around here but the cache is ok. It was out on the open so I put it back into the likely place.
Finished work a little early today, so thought I'd cash in by getting a small series and this fit the bill nicely.
Spotted this on approach. Left a little camo on top. TFTC ShortcutHicksy.

Decided to enjoy the sunshine and tackle this series today. Like the previous finder, I started at #3, then onto #4 & #5. Then at #1 a muggle horse rider & a very loud barking dog had me hot footing it up to #2 before getting back to the car. I drove round to the Palomino Reserve and quickly had #1 in hand (clever camo). Few minutes later, had worked out the co-ordinates for the final puzzle and took another walk to find it.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy for great little series.

I was in the area today, and so I decided that I would have a go at tackling this series. I parked near #3 and walked down the river to #5, I then went up the trail to find the other two. All were found without trouble. Thanks for a great walk on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
ShortcutHicksy, I found your cache ‘Wungong River #5’ today. It was the fifth find of seven finds for me today and brings my total count to 836. The cache was found in a good condition so I added my signature to the log book and I replaced it as I found it. Thank you for the cache, the hide and for bringing me to this location.

Had to trek to Bunnings Armadale today after work and once the steam cleaner was in the car, remembered this series of caches that had been taunting me for quite some time. No way would we be here in summer....ugghhh! Decided the timing would never more opportune so we called in on the way home. Tried for number 1 first but couldn't work out how to access it so switched to the river series. Heaps of water everywhere after yesterday's downpour so out came the gum boots from the boot. So glad I store them there. Sqwelched my way to number 2 and 3 as well and made quick finds. This one was no exception. TFTC, ShortcutHicksy. All well with cache.
GPS was causing trouble but we found it eventually with the help of the hint. TFTC
Happy New Year!! And what better way to start the new year off than with a day out caching. Teamed up with Mr Jackylegs to come and find the newer ones around the Mundijong/Byford/Armadale area. No problems finding this one. Thanks for the smiley ShortcutHicksy
Decided to do the SCH series around Palomino reserve walk trails. After the latest rains some of the trail is a bit damp. Chil found this one, it was uncovered.
thanks for the cache SCH

I have competed successfully at many shows here over the years, its one of my favourite grounds. I thought being a Saturday it might be quieter, however when I arrived I saw a very familiar uniform of a Young riders Dressage club is used to be a member off. So the Dogs and I headed out for a lovely walk starting at 5 because it had quieter access with the dogs and making our way through the series to one before heading to the final.
The Find wasn't too difficult even though the GPS wanted me to go swimming in the dry creek, the hint set me straight and a good start to the series. TFTC ShortcutHicksy

We went for a drive down south and on the way back took some time to walk in to do the rest of these caches. Found three without problems but had trouble at the last one.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy for the cache.

Parked up as close as we could and i sent geo aunty with the geo kids who had shoes to this one. I stayed by the car worried about my parking location and with the geo girls who were thongless.
The kids and aunty returned after about 25min and very proud of themselves.

Im loving the fact the sun is rising early this time of year. It means an opportunity to grab the odd cache before work.
Working my way around and grabbing the clues as needed. A quick find here.

I passed a shirtless teenage runner at the dogleg in the track. Continued on and braved a little trek into the wilderness to log this find. Thanks again.
This is the third of three caches found around here today, before heading down to Busselton in the afternoon and Canada tonight. Each of these three had a TB – I planned it that way, of course, so I can take them with me on my travels abroad.
Decided I would do this series today, as it has been on the radar ever since it was published. Parked in the suggested location and headed planning do the caches in order from 1 to 5. However, I realised after a bit of a walk along the river that I was closer to #5 than I was to #1, so did this one first.
Signed the log. Thanks for the hide ShortcutHicksy

Mrs iluvtrekking and I dropped our geo-hubby's off near the road to walk along the rivers edge picking up 3 caches as they went. Although it was pouring with rain, they didn't mind the task we set them. Thanks ShortcutHicksy
Last of the main part of this series and another quick find. SL and replaced then 'fell over' in the shade and on the freshly mown grass to work out coordinates for the final. After that it was off again in the harsh sun. Thanks to ShortcutHicksy for the cache.
To have a break from painting we decided to start this series. We parked in the car park followed Gypsy while the GPS was starting up and soon realised we were heading the long way around the oval. We ended up at number 5 which was an easy find we wrote down the info required and on our way. It's a lovely walk around here we could remember doing another series a long time ago. Thanks for the hide/ series.
Had about half an hour spare this afternoon so decided to see if I could knock off this new series or at least make a start on it. Ended up doing the whole loop with mixed results, I only had 3 of the 4 required numbers for the final and had a look in a couple of spots on the way back to the car to no avail. I'll be back to finish off the series another day.
Arrived at GZ here and there were a few locations referenced by the hint. After a short search I was lucky enough to come up with the quick find.
ShortcutHicksy I found your cache at 5:00pm, this was the 3rd of 3 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2320. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

ROSS1957 was very nice and swept me away this morning, well away from the painting and gardening that is to catch some smilies.
Well done ShortcutHicksy, I like the series and noticed you left the area on the other side of the river for another series, right??!!

I saw these caches come out a few days ago but today was the first chance i had to come out and find them. a great little series and a pleasant walk along the track to find the caches. Stopped a few times to say hi to some cows and horses but unfortunatley they didnt have much to say....Im giving a favourite point for each one of the caches. Another quick find here and now im off to the final. TFTC ShortcutHicksy
Nice quick find & managed to keep Mac out of the river the whole way which we were pleased about because it does not look very healthy. Tftc
TFTC! Convinced the geowife to take a drive to go for a nice little walk. About half way there she asked is this for a GEO? Yes dear it is....silence.
In the words of the muggle wife: "was a really nice walk except for the constant stopping". Great series SCH and would be good to see more caches coming from you. Thanks

One of the few benefits of not being able to sleep in is being awake when new cache notifications come through early. Neither of us was working today so jumped in the car and on the road by 6.40am. This is not area we are familiar with, it is beautiful and perfect for an early morning walk. We didn't pick up any of the TBs. Got a bit excited as we pulled into the car park and didn't see another car and happy to FTF all in the series. Thank you for the series and for bringing us here ShortcutHicksy.
Made this find whilst making sure i didn't misstep and take an early morning swim.
