A beautiful walk today. My favourite passage of the Centenary Trail so far. Thank you for the cache.
#3655 Skipped quite a few but with this one close to a CCT waypoint, we scampered into the grass for a nice quick find. Cheers domsky.
Going through the Murrumbidgee centenary trail section and finding all the caches (or at least most of them). A lovely section of trail along the river, great fun! All caches were found (some took longer than others however) and in good condition! Thanks for all the COs on the combined effort while placing the caches here but a special thanks to domsky/KambahKid for placing the long trail here and maintaining it! TFTC!

The date is February 25th, the time a little pass 9, and I head off to another geocaching adventure! (well not before various problems leading up to it, but I got there eventually).
My goal is to find the remaining Canberra Centenary Trail caches, that goal however, managed to spectacularly flop on it's face due to me A) me miscalculating distance + elevation and B) me being weak and not being able to ride up a hill properly.
The end result was me calculating the GZ of all of them but only being able to find one because I wasn't able to return to that track without dying. That's pretty annoying, but it will give me a excuse to go back to the bushland so I guess that's fine.
A lovely ride today, starting in Dickson, to Coombs, to Kambah Pool (following CCT), to Tuggeranong, to Macarthur, back to Tuggeranong then returning to Lyneham. Only problems were that the heat is HORRIBLE.
Like I might as well have jumped in the Murrimbidgee river, as then I would have been cooled down!
A surprising lack of grass seeds in my socks by the end, despite the long grass. The only animals sighted was many kangaroos, a few lizards and a single shingleback just lying on the fire trail waiting to be run over.
36 (i think) caches found today, covering 93km and 879m of elevation gain, I am now tired.
Overall, great day and thanks to all the cache owners for contributing to this massive gameboard of ours. TFTC!

I am beginning to struggle to find groupings of caches, so the time had come to try for some of the trail based caches that I have not got to and that many of my caching companions have already done. I tried to get away early, but in the end 9 had to suffice. I headed down along Tuggeranong creek to the Murrumbidgee river, visiting about half the trail caches to Kambah pool and one or two other finished puzzles and multi's along the way. The weather is getting warm and sunny, so I was happy to be back at the car and heading home by midday.
This was my first centenary trail cache along here, and it was nice to get the series going. The kangaroos were not as impressed by my visit.
Thanks for the cache Kambahkid

My family and I were visiting from Sydney and we thought to go on a walk. We had a 2-year old and 4-year old in our 7-seater car and they were screaming terribly. We also had a 13-year old and 11-year old with us but it was too crowded for all of us to be in one car so we took 2 cars. We did a 8km walk all together and it became the 4-year olds longest walk without having to be carried and the 2-year old took about a 1 hour nap during the walk. The hint was VERY helpful but the path to the hiding spot is a bit spiky so the 4-year old stayed away, the 2-year old was walking away with the mother so he wasn’t there. Anyways, TFTC
Out for a plesant morning walk along the trail. A bit prickly here but cache found without issue. Cache in good nick. Thanks for the fun.
Once we waited for the giggles tailing is to head past, it took us a few minutes to hone in on the spot to look but fairly quick find once we did. Many spiky weeds! TFTC.
A little worried the cache was going to be among the many spiky weeds just a next to it. Fortunately not so retrieved and signed without many spikes!
Found quickly by Jessticulate! Weather is starting to turn so this might our last find of the day. TFTC
Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it domsky.
A plan was hatched to do a nice walk with the family (Dino, Pebbles and Wilma), I decided to come and do the nice trail and other caches along the Murrumbidgee. We walked along here 10 year ago but from the Kambah Pool side, this time we started at Pine Island. 3.5h and 10.5km later we had a big haul of caches and a great hike with lots of nice views a baby brown snake story and a few new scratches.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you domsky for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

I went for a lockdown walk from my home in lower Kambah this afternoon and replaced the damaged cache container. Now you are looking for a camouflaged berocca tube.
Down in the ACT for my grandsons 2nd birthday because we couldn’t attend the first! So after a nice jog/walk in the very brisk predawn fog, came into the GZ full of thistles covering a field of rocks.....great. Searched for a good 15 minutes and found t cracked container with a totally soaked log. Definitely needs replacement I’m afraid!
I found a number of the Centennial Trail caches from Point Hut through to the area east of the Tuggeranong Town Centre back in late 2016. Today I had the opportunity to come along and find a few more as I headed for my main objective of the day, 'Murrumbidgee Mount' which has an interesting DT combo.
Like most caches in the series, this cache was easily located and in good shape. There was a little moisture inside the container, but the logbook was fine.
TFTC, Domsky

A straightforward find while caching along the Murrumbidgee today. Thank you!
A quick find and time for a quick gulp of water before heading off to try to fit a few more caches in (my phone is almost out of charge.......) Thanks Kambahkid
Nice part of the trail not been on prior .
Nice views as well .
Many thanks to domsky.

Today Minniek, Jonasani and I met up to pick up this series between Pine Island and Kambah pools, a nice walk with the weather just right, tho got a little burnt. Easy finds and containers in good condition, signed log DD, MK and MJ. Tftc domsky
Today Darzee Di, Jonasani and I head off to do part of the CCT from Pine Island to Kambah Pool.
It was a glorious spring morning for a walk along the river. All caches were found quickly and easily.
....unfortunately, I may have gotten a bit burnt along the way!

A Geocaching adventure was organised, and I decided to join the group for the walk, even though I had found most of the caches along this trail - I had not found quite all of them, and it is a nice walk. So, caching as "capital crunchers" (handy that someone had a stamp) we had a fun day walking along the trail and all over the place, with lots of laughs, and we found lots of caches ... A few smileys for me, and over 2 dozen visits.
TFTC - one of the many I had found before, but it was fun watching the others look ... or taking photos of stuff while they looked

Such a perfect day to be out caching with friends along the beautiful Murrumbidgee! Thanks to the amazing Joolay for organising us all to tackle this trail. Caching as part of the Captial Crunchers: Gliss! Ayakem, Cosmonaut97, Lola1983, GeoGlors, Onieferret, sebass14, ZimbaW and Froggycache. So sorry for the repetitive logs - this one armed bandit didn’t do a great job at logging as we went... Thanks so much for the cache!!
Found it as part of the Capital Crunchers group. It was a great walk between Kambah pool and Pine Island today. Great people and lovely sunny weather!
Thanks FTC

The Capital Crunchers - led by Joolay, with ZimbaW, onieferret, GLISS!, Aykayem, sebass14, GeoGlors, Lola1983, Nibbletricecakes and Cosmonaut97 - took on the Canberra Centenary Trail between Kambah Pool and Pine Island. We covered more than 15km in six and a half hours to find 40 caches, picking up a few travelbugs and collecting at least 3 years of unloved in the process.
Signed as Capital Crunchers.

This was find #21 on this exceptional day of caching. Out with Joolay (who organised this craziness :>), Aykayem, Froggycache, ZimbaW, Onieferret, GLISS!, sebass14, GeoGlors, Lola1983 and Nibbletricecakes. We signed the logs as Capital Crunchers and trekked from Kambah Pool to Pine Island. 15 kms in 6.38 hours. Nobody got 'seriously' broken (but a few of us had old niggles already :>) and I am pretty sure everyone had a good day. TFTC.
Getting closer to the end. Legs getting tired and feet sore. But there is no stopping now
Today was the day for doing this final leg of the Centenary Trail from Kambah Pool to Pine Island. 11 lovely cachers turned up for the walk Froggycache, GLISS, Nibletricecakes, Onieferret, GeoGlors, Lola1983, Ayakam, Cosmonaut97, ZimbaW and Sebass14 and used the stamp of Capital Crunchers. It was pretty darn cold and very windy but not hot so a great day for a walk.
Cache was soon in hand and moving onto the next one. TFTC

F(H)ound It! #3379 @ 12:45 AM
Collected on a walk from Kambah Pool to Pine Island with the Capital Crunchers.
We are very lucky with the weather today considering I could see snow falling on the Brindies this morning. The walk and good company are keeping us warm
Thanks for the cache domsky

Found and signed as part of the group Capital Crunchers. A lovely day to walk this part of the trail, even though it was cold and windy.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Find # 1999 @ 1353 - a nice quick find, especially as I'd stopped to log the previous fond almost on top of this one!
This will be the last find for the day and week, hoping that #2000 will be achieved overseas.
Not celebrating yet - there's still the 4k walk back to the car to survive!
Thanks for the series so far domsky.

Found during a day on the Centenary Trail from Stromlo-Tuggers just as my skin was about to catch fire in the burning sun! Ran for cover by the tuggers creek after this one. TFTC.
A day out along the river. Sun, wind but no rain. Oh, and a few caches, 27 from 27. TNLNSL TFTC
Out caching after work.
8km round trip. Targeted 6 and found 5.
I am Grumpy!

This was another one we had entirely forgotten, and Mrs Domsky spent some time looking along the fence line, sure that this is where the cache had been hidden. Not so, as a cry of "found it"! came from Mr Domsky from nearby.
Onwards then to number 16.
Thanks Kambahkid for maintaining this series. We loved re-visiting yesterday.

Finally recovering after a crazy busy last weekend at the Mega, and I decided to accept the invite from RoddyC and SnickersAllan, to come Geocaching with them while they were visiting Canberra for a few days on their way home. Mister JD also came for the adventure. We met at Kambah Pool, all piled in with Mr JD and headed down to Pine Island, cached our way back along the trail to Kambah pool, then I headed home (well ... off to hide a Geocache on Mt Stromlo, then home and the others drove back to collect Mr JD's vehicle.
We all had a fantastic time, even though it turned out to be a really hot day, and a couple of us were running out of water by the end of the walk.
TFTC - Nice views

I'm out doing the Murrumbidgee trail with my old mates Aykayem and the RoddyCs, and my new mate SnickersAlan. They had already found a dozen or so which I have previously found. This is my fourth for the day, nice but far from easy. It's a bit warm, but the walking and scenery is great. And we are having fun punning. The river is higher than it was when I did the earlier ones just as my ankle was recovering from its severe break. I am grateful for the company as I have been wanting do do these for ages, but have not trusted my ankle or my general health enough to go by myself.
I've done this walk with my late wife decades ago, when we were young and fit. I don't remember in being this bare and unshaded, and there are certainly more fences than there used to be. It's pretty hot, and my load of drinking water is shrinking. In by mouth, out with sweat. Nice easy grab, thanks Domsky.

Caching along the Murrumbidgee with Snickersallan, Mr JD and Aykayen. Our party of five started at Pine Island just after 9.00am and finished around 4.45pm at Kambah Pool. The heat of the day slowed us quite considerably, as did the frequent up hill or down hill treks to caches. In all we logged 35 finds, only one DNF and there were two that we didn't attempt.
Yep, the legs are getting a little weary but a long way to yet. Its hot out here with no shade trees.
Log signed and replaced at 12:27 pm on 25 November 2017. TFTC, domsky

Out with dty73 trying to walk the trail from Pine Island to Kamba Pool. It started out nice & cool but gradually the sun gained some heat. Happily the finds were fairly quick but the walking took its toll. Cache fine . Kutgw
Getting closer to the car now and enjoying the walk but looking forward to the car too , cache found after a bit of a search. A crow walked and hopped in for a much closer look at what I was up to, very curious. Thanks for the cache.
Good to revisit this area for more caches with Trodectus and Goldenwattle.
We had left one car at the Kambah pool parking area so we would not have to walk back.
Thanks For The Cache Kambahkid

Decrypter, Trodectus and I walked along the Centenary Trail by the Murrumbidgee River today. We left one car in Tuggeranong and the other car at Kambah Pool. We covered about ten kms, before dusk arrived. We found Wood-Letter Z TB2 in this cache and took it. Kangaroos watched us as we found and signed the log. TFTC Kambahkid.

Great walk on a cloudy day and with great views of the Murrumbidgee. Kangaroos boxing provided some extra entertainment.

A nice easy find on a sunny day. The thistles are starting to grow in the vicinity. I left a geocoin (I think)
What a beautiful day to be out and about, warm sun, light breeze and rain-fuelled green everywhere. Somehow I had missed this Centenary Trail cache on previous visits but it is in the bag now. Thank you domsky for this cache and for the series.
Woke to see it was another stunning winters day, so headed off with Justjessie to make a start on the Centenary Trail series. Very enjoyable walk, with the trail being a little frosty in places. By 11am we were down to t shirts and close to sweating! 10.54kms from Kambah Pool to Pine Island, 24 caches and a great walk. TFTC.
Beautiful day along the trail and enjoyed walking along here to do this cache and others.. nice hide, Signed the log. TFTC domsky
Went for a long walk last Saturday to enjoy the weekend air. Normally I take this route on my bike, but I thought this time to take a longer trek and listen to music as I walked. These fun little caches kept me busy on the road.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Day sixteen of the Southern NSW Lounge About with BettyBoo3747.
First full day in Canberra. Fired up the deadly treadlies and rode section six of the Centenary Trail.
Cached the way there and back again.
Nearly picked the wrong side of the fence here!
Had a laugh about the steep bike sign here.
This was our last of this series today, thanks for all the great hides and views along this trail.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 10286. The first full day of caching in Canberra for Robmc and me. Good to start turning almost 3000 blue caches to yellow., even if only in small part. We once again headed out on the bicycles towards the Centenary Trail and gathered some caches along the way and a couple on the way back. Staying in Chapman has certainly been convenient for today's outing.
Fortunately, we picked the right side of the fence at the first attempt and added our names to the log. Now down to the ford for a look at the cool waters - it looks so tempting to just jump in fully clothed.
We hope to do some more of the trail during our stay.
Thanks domsky

Found on an incredibly hot day - overestimated what could achieve. All well now though. More to follow.
Sunday 31 January 2016 - a summer's afternoon with periodic downpours and it felt hot and muggy each time the sun appeared. Found 7 caches over 2hrs after a 6km walk and 7km bike ride to start the journey. Raining and wet but found it. Thx p2p, TFTC.
A lone wander down the Canberra Centenary Trail by the Murrumbidgee River from Pine Island to Kambah Pool, doing the Centenary Trail – Murrumbidgee River View series and some other caches along the way. Trip report at http://www.johnevans.id.au/wp/12-january-2016-murrumbidgee-walking-track-cct-from-pine-island-to-kambah-pool-and-return/ . Great series, 1.5 difficulty suiting my caching ability. Thanks for the series (a favourite from me at #1). TFTC.
Found at 4:26:00 PM
While the family went to the pool I decided to get some extra exercise and do this trail. I found every single one easily except one. There were some muggles on the trail that I kept catching up to, but was reluctant to pass since they would just pass me on the next cache. No snakes, but plenty of water in the river after recent rains. It was chockers from bank to bank.
Thanks domsky
