A quick pick up on our way through to Googong with caching colleagues. Very well camouflaged and not surprising that a new Cacher (prevous searcher) would find this one a challenging despite being hidden in plain sight. TFTC Oz KEG.
Out this way for an errand, I decid to get some more local caches which I had neglected for far too long.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you Oz KEG for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found with Aquilus1 on our daily/nightly adventure. Evenings are going to be a whole lot quieter when we aren’t out and about every night.
Took a little to find as the phones just didn’t want to settle. But we sort of knew what to look for by the hint. Aquilus1 soon had the cih then we were back to the warm car and off home. Tftc Oz KEG!!!

Out with dty73 for her daily find and a further afield we went tonight.... chilly is an understatement. 4 layers of clothes and my beanie, I looked rediculous but hey, a tiny bit warmer!
With the car heater helping it took a little searching. Finally scoped the right part with the torch and a cache was soon spotted and being signed. Thanks for the cache!

I was in the area and stopped in for this fast find. I typically avoid caches where I am a middle aged man hanging out in the bushes near a playground. Today I had the park to myself and felt a lot less sus. TFTH
Ash was falling from the nearby fire as I cached today. Very apocalyptic.
Didn't stay in the park long...the hint told me all I needed to know, even though the coords were a bit off. The house next door had a guardian that wasn't happy with me being there as well! TFTC!

Found while visiting the area for a couple of days and grabbing a cache or two TFTC Cheers
Collecting steps and smilies after work. Only 900 to go. Good co-ords but I had to eliminate all the obvious hides first. TFTC.
I spent a lovely evening doing some late night caching with the eldest geodaughter.... the youngest doing Oliver rehearsals next to the church. Found 8 in all which was a nice little run.
This was fourth, Queanbeyan certainly does have a lot of little parks!

Returned from a moring caching, to grab some food, then we wanted to get out and see if we could finish of the Queanbeyan parks series. Unfortunately we were a bit dissorganised, I had a flat GPS from the mornings caching, using the phone with mixed gps zeroing, others had mixed info accross devices, but we still managed to grab a few more smileys. Thanks Happy Feet for driving me and Di Morgan for these.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Found with a group catchers and logged as "Lucky9" Thanks for placing it Oz KEG
Another find for me team Lucky9. We saved time and log space during the mega. Thanks for the hide.
In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out today with Di Morgan and Snakepiters, signing logs as DISH. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number or good finds.
Our GPS was jumping all over the place but eventually the find was made.
Thanks Oz KEG for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Nice day for the geocaching trip and found it with "Lucky 9" group. Thanks for leading us here.
Nice quick & easy find on my way home from Canberra Clear Waters Geocaching Event with Skyejam and Sevabo. “Lucky9” Thanks .
A last dash to grab a few caches before heading back to Brisbane. Luckily I was here very early on my own today and all was quiet. I normally drive past playground caches when by myself as old men acting strangely around kids playgrounds attracts way too much attention. Being very early I took the chance and grabbed the sneaky critter. Thanks Oz KEG

Today’s highlights included and a Parliamentary flash mob, more caching and a walk around the lake while the dragon boats raced, the spectacular aboretum, then back to the event to collect a few trackables, a cold at lunch, meeting cachers all over the place, relaxing dinner with friends, a cork forest, crunching numbers for a milestone ... and why do I feel so tired? Oh and still raving about the glorious weather this weekend

Day 3 of our Clear Waters mega tour of Queanbeyan and Canberra, and whilst yesterday was spent in the ACT, today it was about the NSW side of things.
We arrived to GZ to find another nice little park...and fortunately, not a muggle in sight. Whilst the cache was quickly spotted, it was still nicely hidden.

In town for the Mega event at Queanbeyan, this gave Me the opportunity to team up with some long term caching friends to go cache hunting, today I teamed up with Lakedi from Brisbane to tackle the UGC challenge cache series, we picked up several other enjoyable caches along the way.

Today hubby was out on his bike with Roostaman, they chose a trail not far from the showgrounds.
All went well untill the very last cache when a flat tyre was noticed. 3 service stations were visited to keep the tyre up so they could make their way home.

Found with nissan 65. Another day caching while here in Queenbeyan for the MEGA event. Thankyou for the cache.
Towards the end of another great day out geocaching we stopped off to search for this cache. We had a good idea of what we were looking for and so it wasn't long before the cache was in hand. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the good fun cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Staying in Canberra (from Brisbane) for a week of Mega celebrations. Enjoying the crisp mornings and beautiful days, caching whenever we can.

A great second day of caching in the ACT and Queanbeyan. Today not so much numbers, but lots of fun. After a few local caches in Queanbeyan it was of into the beautiful Molonglo george and then to the event in Queanbeyan before doing the long drive home.

Found at 1730 on a stroll around the neighbourhood to get my step count up.
I've walked past this park on many an occasion, but this time I made sure to carry pen and pick - though with no logged finds since October and a couple in the series apparently missing in action I wasn't 100% sure I'd be walking away with a smiley.
The park was deserted and the nearby yards empty making for an easy hunt, and thanks to previous logs I'd more or less figured out what sort of hide to look for, so as the numbers counted down I kept an eye out for a suitable location.
The container was quickly spotted and retrieved, and I retreaded to the nearby seat to sign the log. While I was there a kid appeared on the street, and I was a little worried that I was going to scare him away from getting a bit of useful exercise - but more concerned that he'd actually come in & start playing & I'd have no chance to replace the cache!
Luckily he wandered past and I was able to restore the cache and make my escape from the cage. As I crossed the next street I saw the lad walking up to (I assume) his mum and a couple of members of the constabulary - don't know what was going on there, but I casually increased my pace. I know that whatever the incident was it wasn't related to my activities, but I still half expected a tap on the shoulder or an "Ello ello, what's going on here then?".
Thanks for the cache Oz KEG.

Tftc. Was on my way back to APW from JOC and stopped in Queanbeyan for my daily cache. GPS wouldn't settle but figured out what I needed to find after mrs jaybeem read out some logs. Had a bit of trouble extracting the log, but the good old tweezers helped a treat.
Have never been to Canberra before and enjoyed going from cache to cache looking around.

When a weekend caching with the boys comes along you grab it by the horns, with kids weekend sport washed out steeba, Hoojar and myself headed south with a goal of completing the Kangaroo power trail in Kowen Forest.
Over 2 days we found 150+ caches, walked through 679 spiderwebs, saw 310 kangaroos, were surprised by 8 deer, patted 1 echidna and stepped over countless fallen, all in the name of fun.
Thanks to all the cache owners who contributed to our weekend and apologises for the generic log, but certainly doesn't detract from the hide or the fun we had.

Another great weekend away with Hoojar and The Rats. This time it was down towards Canberra with a few caches in between. This was one of many that we managed to tackle. TFTC!
Another fantastic weekend away with The Rats and Steeba.
We had been trying for some time to get the timing right to head back to the ACT to knock over the Kowen 'Roo series. On our previous attempt, the Forest was closed. We thought the same would happen this weekend, when we realised that we were clashing with the Mont 24, so we came up with Plan B.
However, Steeba came through with the goods, access was granted, and even a Permit to drive and camp in the Forest was obtained... Excellent! So our plans changed at the very last minute, and we were back on for The 'Roo.
We found about 150 caches over the weekend, the three of us, along with Juno my geo-puppy. We walked, cached, talked and generally had an excellent time, as we always do on our caching trips away. We especially walked through some beautiful scrub in Goulburn and Kowen.
Thank you to all of the cache owners that placed caches that we found over the course of our trip. Sorry about the generic logging, I promise it does not reflect my enjoyment of your cache!
Cheers

Teheheheh I was looking for the edible kind.. doh. Log is pretty rusty but still useable. Found with jdogmonkey tftc
Found with NibletRiceCakes. Quick find. Cache needs maintenance though. The container it's self is rusty and hard to open. The log was hard to retrieve as it's now sticking to the container and is also rusty. It's a shame but still worth the find.
Took as a while to find this and even longer to open it. Might be getting a little weather damaged. Nice little park coolest set of swings we have played on all day
"Cool"abah is well named! OK - it's a small park with one set of swings but we really enjoyed these! Up and down AND forwards and backwards! I had a ball (although still struggling to get a decent swing without a push, hahaha) The cache was another matter and we searched and searched (and swung some more...and searched a bit... and played a bit). Eventually after reference to previous logs we narrowed down on the location and was probably close to calling it quits when I spotted what we needed. It was stuck tight so a return to the car for more caching tools was required but eventually rewarded with a smiley.
Very last find for today reluctantly, it was about 5:30 and I had to make my way all the way back too Gungahlin to cook some dinner.
There were a few people talking across the road, but luckily the cache was snug against the wall so I was completely out of view from them despite being able to hear every word they were saying!
It was a quick grab thanks to the hint, as I wanted to get out before someone spotted me.
Thanks again!
