Just logged the 4th consecutive DNF. Given the last logged find was back in March, perhaps it is time for a welfare check by the CO.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
We're a tipp'n it's a miss'n.
Thanks for the hunt anyway Ketchthor.

Another day of caching around Geelong and more finds ... or in this case a non find.
So I'm on a streak at the moment! I recently found my #1 nemesis cache in the city and a few days later I find #2 here!!! I had hints from the CO and other finders and still couldn't come up with the goods. It was almost becoming a weekly ritual to come here hunt for a bit and walk away defeated. But today I was determined to get the smiley. However it was still being difficult and I was about to give up. I stood away from GZ to take in the 'bigger picture' when I saw something....could it be....nah it couldn't...but maybe....BINGO! The sneaky cache was FINALLY caught!!!! So glad to finally be able to marked this one off the map. TFTC

Last time I hunted unsuccessfully for this one I said I would bring reinforcements next time. So, I brought Lizard1983 with me (she actually brought me - we got here in her car). It seems the strategy worked. I said "my phone's pointing there", we both headed 'there' and Lizard 1983 saw it first, then out with the multi-tool to retrieve the cache.
I'm sure it wasn't in that spot last time I looked, but then it may have been hiding under something that isn't there any more. Either way, success today and another Ketchthor series (until the Conjuring is resurrected) finished for both of us.
SL. TFTC and the series Ketchthor.

Found it. Great hide. Got in before rainfall. Geokid found will usefull hint. Geokid writing this now. Lol. First thought Narrrr wouldn't be in that. Then looked and walla it was there. Thanks for another one of your caches Kechthor. Tftc
Yay! Finally. I'd looked at this one a while ago and kept it on my watch list as it seemed to have a high hit and miss rate. With geokid's sports over for the day we weren't too far away so off for a look. Wicked sunny glorious day, but still no one around so able to search unhampered. And search we did. Geosis and I hunted whilst geokid climbed all over. We looked and prodded and crawled and clambered. Eventually put in a PAF which almost always means cache will then be found before a reply is received, and this theory checked out again today as geosis called 'found it' not long after I pressed send. Hahaha maybe I should just PAF before I begin hunting for the day and I'll find them all quickly haha. A good hide that is tricky to find, and not just by sight or by touch, but by removing the camo. Clever - has us stumped! TFTC Ketchthor
Found on 23 Jul with a warm up run before orienteering. Well hidden which took me a while to find. Thankfully got to everything easily as I didn't have any tools with me. TFTC Sketchthor
Finally!! Third time lucky. I looked in many of the same locations in previous searches here, but missed this particular one. At least I was previously on the right track, just from the wrong angle. TFTC

After some previous DNFs, I had a nudge from a gloating friend and was able to spot this one from some distance away. I don't know how I didn't spot this earlier! Oh well, DNFs are a part of the game and I almost always log them. Thanks for the cache Ketchthor, finished the series for now...

Searched everywhere and couldn't find it today. Even the geokids scrambling on the floor couldn't find it. Will be back to try again another day
Found it! Tftc. Despite many DNFs, the hint was very helpful. Our tool was a stick.
Despite the recent DNFs I was reasonably confident the cache is where it belongs (or at least close) and I'd have a fair chance of expunging my previous DNF. I was wrong. Another DNF for me today despite there being not many muggles around. I'm starting to get an 'Eagle Rock' feeling about this one, at least as far as I'm concerned.
I think next time I might bring reinforcements .

All 4 McTreasure Seekers had a crack at this today, and still left with nothing. Starting to think it's been moved or covered somehow??
Ran out of time and daylight, and then my phone battery. Will definitely be back to finish looking for this one another time.
Tried again for this one this afternoon, and still couldn't find the sneaky cache.....even with an extra nudge from the CO! I KNOW it's right in front of me....but no luck. Will keep trying!
This really is a beautiful area. The creek should have a much nicer name really. I met a couple walking their dog. We chatted for a while as I did have a Gordon Setter some years ago. It is a popular place i discovered as many muggles with their dogs were out and about.
This one had me looking for a little time . The clue helped enormously.

I don't believe the image below is the cache so I'll keep it enabled as it is probably still there. I'll leave the NM icon as the log is getting full.
From previous hints we believe we found the container...looks broken and no log.
Found it quicker than I probably should have! Got very lucky. Good cache, log getting full.
11:36, time to give up. This was disappointment No 2 for the day. Having found the rest of this series over a number of hunts, I thought today would be a good day to knock this one over. Not to be today thought. After not being able to hunt for Walk in the Park - Swing Away! because of a sizable muggle infestation, I needed to find this one to help break yet another too long streak of days without a find.
My phone and gypsy both pointed to more or less the same place, so I was happy that I was looking close enough to the right place. After reading the hint and a few of the other logs I changed my strategy a bit, but still no luck so gave up for today. But... having read in some of the logs that the cache had been found out in the open I did a bit of a spiral out on my way back to my bike. That didn't work either .
Almost forgot to mention the amount of barkers' eggs around GZ. A bit distracting when trying to hunt for a cache close to ground level. At least none of them were freshly laid.
Thanks for the series Ketchthor. I'll be back to finish it off another day.

Found by Team Ninja 05/04/16, find number 791.
With such nice weather today the Ninja clan decided to head into the city and cycle the Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail. It also provided a good opportunity to do some caching along the way!
We finished the trail at the 100 Steps Park and finished off the trip by cycling to Aircraft station for the train home, via Skeleton Creek. The wind had picked up by this point and a strong Northerly was blowing which made sections of the ride quite a battle!
After parking the bikes we had spotted the cache after a short search. Nice hiding spot.

What. The. Hell.
I don't know what I'm missing (apart from the cache that is), this is either really, really good or really, really bad - I'll know when I finally find it.

### Find **# 3374** Trad **# 2621** ###
With an extra hours sleep last night, it was planned that Buzzsmc and I would tackle this series and a few others around the area. We woke early, had our GPSr loaded, grabbed our geo tool kit and we were off up the highway. The roads were quite and it was still dark when we arrived. We found 15 from 16 attempts today.
We parked as close as we could and walked in to this one. We noticed an interesting sign along the path about snakes, hopefully they were all asleep being this early. We searched in a few spots before noticing this one on the ground. We signed and returned as meant to be.
**Thanks for this cache and series, Ketchor**. [^]
**Log and container in good condition.**
**Took Nothing, Left Nothing.**

Took advantage of the extra hour thanks to daylight savings ending. So headed out with na'wal to grab some caches.
Parked and crossed over the river for this one. A searched ensued until I spotted this one out in the open on the ground. Replaced in the most Likely spot.
Log signed and replaced.

Ah! thank you, this was a sneaky little bugger, I found this on my second attempt, thank you Ketchthor for the nice hide.
Found it just laying around in the GZ. Placed it at the base of a small shrub in the GZ so it wouldn't move around with the wind. Finally finished the Skeleton Creek series started last year, day after Boxing Day. Thanks for the series, we had a great time.
We starded this series on 27/12/15. when we failed to find this one (it was missing) .so today we happen to be in the area we we tried again and Zedaycee had in his soon after ariving
With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.
With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.
Finally found it! After doing most of the skeleton creek trail just after christmas 2015 and DNFing this one at that time, it is so good to day that we have FINALLY completed skeleton creek!!! *does a happy dance*
This has been a tricky cache for me. Today is the third time I have been here looking and I bought reinforcements in the form of Posho6. We searched high and low and after about 10 minutes Posho6 came up with the goods. I would never have found it as I was looking in the trees. Thanks for the cache and the great series.
found it uncovered, so i tried to cover it up a little bit so that people don't think is rubbish. TFTC!
my very first cache, with the kids! I thought it was a piece of rubbish...
Found it.
I thought it was a piece of rubbish in the first place. It was partially exposed, and I'm scared that it might be washed away by the gardener with his blower.
I tried to put a bit of improvised camo to hide it again.

Omg!!! This one certainly had us scratching our heads... But was soon spotted by geokid with a keen eye! TFTC
The cache has been sorted. Please ensure care is taken when returning the cache making sure it's placed in the exact same way with the appropriate camo.
I'll check on this and most likely replace it in a couple of weeks when I get back from the UK.
I wanted to get the caches along the creek of my list, I knew there were a few DNF but I had a look anyway with no luck, this will go on my watch list and I'll try again another day.
Would be great if this hide could be checked out. Seven consecutive DNFs and a previous finder confirming they couldn't see it any longer.
I am currently overseas and will not be able to attend to this cache until mid January.
Gave it a good try but no joy
We got 7 out off 8 thats not bad for a sunday afternoon
We got 7 out off 8 thats not bad for a sunday afternoon
Tried and tried with 3 pairs of eyes. No joy. Pity we have all of the creekvwalk caches except this one... 7 out of 8 ain't bad!
Unfortunately this proved the better of us... Couldn't find it at all... Maybe next time...
Yes pretty evil but eventually I found it! I do like these hides, they blend in very well. TFTC.
Unfortunately this cache hide proved to be too good for us today, even though we did spend some time searching. We were sorry as it would have been good to get smilies for the 8 in the series but never mind - perhaps another day we will find it.
TFTC Ketchthor - we have appreciated the planning and implementation that has gone into your great series and we thank you for it.

I eventually succumbed and moved on.

With a sore foot and not wanting to head down to the G2Q Rail Trail this weekend, Mrs. caughtatwork and I chose this little series not too far away. Well, certainly closer than Geelong let me tell you.
This was a lucky find as I kicked over the hide and spotted the small cache on the ground. I need thinner fingers by the way, so this was harder to log than to find
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Ketchthor for this series of caches for a nice stroll along the creek.

Wow, very dry brown grass, and across the path a beautiful green near the creek. Found after a quick search. Signed and re-hid. Tftc
# 9666. Out and about on a grey cool day with Robmc gathering up a few caches around Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. A bit of a frustrating caching day overall - I am used to rural caching and find urban caching much harder to cope with., however we did manage 16 finds and 1 DNF.
This one took a little while as we could find no obvious spot here. Luckily we did find it nearby, just lying on the ground. Being pink did help to see it. Rehidden and off to the next one.
Thanks Ketchthor

Bettyboo3747 and I jumped into the geo-chariot and went down to Altona and Hoppers for a few local caches.
This was our first for the day.
No Evil Dead here, not even a muggle in sight, just before lunch.
Found this one on the ground in plain sight, so we rehid it "Not in the Obvious Spot, but nearby!"
Thanks, Robmc.

This one took me quite a while. As a previous searcher has said, there is no real obvious spot here so it became a hunt for a micro in a patch of bush with no workable hint. Normal satellite variation is such that the whole patch became the search area. I circled it several times and checked everything that I could think of. I was on the verge of giving up when I spotted the tiny thing half hidden on the ground. I put it back in what I thought was an obvious spot but that is all going to depend. The GPS was saying 3m when I rehid the cache, but that of will change.
This cache was a lot lower than I had been looking. I found it by accident while avoiding stepping on a Huntsman. As soon as I found it I saw the "obvious" spot, though. I signed the log and placed it back near the obvious spot where I had found it.

Suscoe's 3rd find of today.
Things certainly had changed in the last hour or so with a South Westerly change marching through the state.
A brisk walk to GZ and a short search until Mrs. S spotted the hide.
Thanks to Ketchthor for placing this one here.

What's the obvious spot? And what's nearby? Am I missing something? The cache maybe.

Setting out to try my luck on the Skeleton Creek Series this was my first. There were two cycling muggles passing in the opposite direction as I walked along the trail, but were long gone by the time I reached GZ. On the second loop I was in the correct position to spot it.
Thanks to Ketchthor for the cache.

Everything is good with this cache. No maintenance is required. I have increased the DR slightly and updated the hint. Do not rehide the cache in the 'obvious spot' as it will fall.

Looking at the last 2 logs it may be worth checking it out.
Looking at the last 2 logs it may be worth checking it out.
Maybe the CO might check this cache due to the rehiding by someone and DNFs in the last two weeks.
Unfortunately a DNF today. With time not on my side I scoured the ground and other obvious spots with no luck. I'll keep an eye on it and come back later.
Found the cache laying on the ground. Not sure where it was meant to be originally so it had been hidden in a suitable place nearby. TFTC!
Having found all but two caches in this series, I decided to head out today and collect all that remained on this glorious first day of spring. I had had some difficulty finding some of the caches in this series, but luck was on my side today, and I soon noticed something NQR. Surprised me, given the size of the cache—guess I just looked at something from the right angle The Skeleton Creek series is now complete, TFTC!
Caching today with Dutch Frangipani who has had several months absence due to pregnancy. A really fun day once again with lots of laughs, good conversation and some challenging caches to be found.
No evil dead around here today. Just a very pleasant walk with great company, (deifintely living). Thanks ketchthor

24/08/2015 4:39 pm Find #4646 Joint {FTF} with Maccamob just before it started to rain, just a tiny bit of rain but it was getting cold and I had grumpy kids in the car calling me to hurry up. I was about to give up on this as we'd spent a bit longer than usual to make the find and thats when the hint suddenly made sense. It was a team effort to extract the log, sign and replace in the right spot where it had fallen from. Nice to catch up with Maccamob again. Thanks Ketchthor.
Found by Mary & David at 1640. A longer walk this time, from #7. Arrived to find nobody else in sight and started searching, and searching, and searching some more. Plenty of unusual objects there as well as the tree4s and shrubs. After a while, abl973 arrived and both spent several more minutes searching. Finally abl973 spotted the nano on the ground, so another STF for David. Replaced it off the ground in a place that seemed tailor-made for it, but still visible from the right angle. Our thanks to Ketchthor.
