Because of the pandemic, many caches became
unmanageable in the time
needed to race out to them and I have not been able to
justify the time to keep this cache going.
I know you may be sad that this cache,
like many of it’s partners is going, but
sometimes it is an old cache that makes way for a new one.
Until next we meet on the caching trail, have an
extra special time caching. KD.

Quite the steep incline from the roadside - a quick find thankfully as I left the car running! tftc
TFTC. Another Kangadrew! I must have done most of them by now. My first on 29/2/2020 was and now number 201.
I had something in mind as I approached this cache but the GPS had a different idea. I trusted the GPS and found the cache.
Took us a little longer than we would have liked but loved the hiding spot. Thanks for the cache
Found while out walking with icw. I annihilated half a dozen free-loaders that were sheltering on the outside of the container. Tftc.

A quick find after a scramble up the hill in the wet.
Took nothing, left nothing.

A smoky detour on the way home. I parked at the nearby house under construction and circled gz for a minute before making the logical find. Left some hand made swag and a pencil pack. TFTC!

I failed here a few months ago when my phone was pointing to a different area. Today it led me straight up the hill to the find. Thanks kangadrew for explaining why this place is like it is.
out after tea tonight to keep our streaks going - Bunadoorian had this one in our sights. Finding a parking area in the dark was interesting. Once we arrived at GZ - the hint helped and the cache was found hidden in a usual way. TFTC and to bringing us to this area - kangadrew72
Grub62 and I were out this way trying to keep our streaks. A well hidden cache in a traditional geocaching manner. TFTC.
Out caching with the geokid. Stumbled across this one that was hanging out with a couple of snails! I think they wanted some of the loot. Picked up a TB and dropped one off. TFTC

I was in the area for a new cache and stopped in to find clues for the Mystery thing. I found a relatively safe place to pull over and quickly found the container.

An easy find at the end of a hilly dog walk. Enjoyed the information about pine trees in Eltham. Thanks for getting us some where new in the area TFTC
We’d been meaning to check this cache out for a while, but not being familiar with Zig Zag rd, weren’t sure how best to approach it on foot. We ended up walking up from the Coolabah dr end of the road, which was quite a hike, but worth it for the event clue and interesting history lesson. TFTC
Disturbed a couple of critters looking for this one. Found the logbook nice and dry. Thanks!
Like previous finders I came up to GZ the hard way from the bike trail on the main road. Not only did I have to battle the Ivy but I also had the distraction of a yapping little mutt that ran right over to me bringing his muggles owner with him. I must’ve looked a bit suspicious. I had to make an explanation that I was birdwatching.
At least I was rewarded for my troubles by finding a TB it’s been a while. Tftc kangadrew

I looked at it then I moved on without realising that I spotted it. I then used my bike helmet to batted though the ivy.
after looking around a bit I found it.

Ducked out for a quick find to get the end of 2018 souvenir! Thanks for the cache.
Bit of effort required to get this one. I remember looking at this one for a Beechworth based challenge cache Z-Z-Z a while back but I found 6 caches beginning with Z a while ago now. You wouldn't happen to want to change your caching name to Zkangadrew72 for a bit of time to help me finish off hiders beginning with Z, would you?
Out for the morning with Cracka1 Entered GZ the difficult way, from the bottom. An easy find once we scrambled up the slippery hill.
Got it after a wider search near the hint item. Interesting to hear more information about the area. Left a toy car x
Wow, be careful people! As I arrived there were some youngins taking turns skateboarding real fast-like down the zig zag.
Luckily it was a quick find and I signed my name unnoticed.
Thanks

Interesting info on the cache page. Stopped to take note of the Lone Pine and washed my hands after the cache was found. Nice and damp here after the rain.

Out with OzHockeyChick and BoatieTim on this lovely afternoon. Interesting place to try and park but with that done, the cache was located, signed and returned. Thanks to OHC for the parking and BT for taking the scratches. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.

A lovely afternoon out caching with Mrs Papi4506 and BoatieTim.
Finding somewhere to park was the trickiest part of this find. Lol. Everyone coming home from work at the same time.
Thankyou kangadrew72 for placing this cache here for us to find.

There is a block next to it where there once seems to have stood a house. There are remains of a carpet the concrete slab is still there. It is interesting regarding the pines being boundary markers in Eltham area.
Found a spot next to a driveway to park... on an angle, but thankfully I have a higher than normal clearance geovehicle. A quick walk to the cache... but which way do I go in? I tried 2 ways before seeing it just out of reach. Backed out and went in the other way and grabbed it. TFTCSL.
Out with au.fait, we found it difficult to park on this zig zag road.
Pretty area and views. Thanks kangadrew72

It was much harder to find a place to park than it was to find this cache Thanks Kangadrew72
Friends came over today and decided to go find some caches. We were so excited about getting the trackable but then when we found the cache it wasn't therethen found out that someone else had taken it. Oh well

TFTC kangadrew72. found easily enough after a false start nearer the main road and near the tree in question. Took the travelling coin which I will place in another cache far far away. Jimmytherat.
Came ready to replace this one today but all is in fact good and in place. Even checked GPS coords and confirmed within 1m...
Added a geocoin for next finder to grab and take on.

Being a public holiday, I was in the area with my wife and her friend while we waited for my nephew to finish his music lessons nearby. Whilst they were chatting away in the car, I ducked out to attempt this cache. Unfortunately couldn't spot this one despite doing a few laps of GZ. Eventually my nephew appeared so I had to leave. Sad to leave with a DNF.
Looked around the area indicated by the hint but too much terrain that I didn't fancy exploring.
Spent a long time looking for this one but no luck today.
Finally gave up as it was getting a bit too hot now.

Grabbing some caches with omegaman1971 today, while in this area. Found the most difficult way to make this find which was covered in rubbish.
Thanks kangadrew72 for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Out and about in the area with Happy feet cleaning up some caches. Such a Shame to find so much trash at Gz. After a short search we had the cache found.

Missed this one on the last drive through Eltham.
Took a while to locate, did a few laps before Mrs Riddell spotted it.

I grew up in Montmorency many years ago and was always fascinated by a street called Zig Zag but never had the need to travel it. First time for everything. TFTC
What an interesting street It is sooooo narrow and you can only fit one car down it.
We are visiting from Canberra and our friends live on this street so we had to collect this cache!
Lucky the two times we drove down we did not come across another car because that could of been tricky since our car is fairly big.
It was a very quick find at GZ
TFTC!

Out and about as (Themaccas) today with geobrother on the hunt around the eltham area. TFTC.
We found this cache today at 4:00pm as number 19 of 26 on our Eltham Exploration Afternoon. The choice was to park up or down. Up seemed to be the right choice and not too much of a slope down to the cache Thanks from D & HA B-A.
We were looking for one last thing to cache on the way home - my there seems to be a fair few going on around here - but this one starts with Z and I need a Z for the collection! The zig and the zag comes with a bit of a gradient change doesn't it! Anyway sorted that out and found the cache in a likely looking spot. Thanks for the cache kangadrew72.
I have driven past this one a few times but have always had parking issues as Zig Zag Road isn't the safest to pull over on, particularly with children getting out of the car as well. Today however, TinkerTraveller and I were tackling the new Weeping Willows down the road so decided to park between the two and take a walk. The muscles sure appreciated the hill. Once GZ established we had the cache in hand pretty quickly.
Thanks for all the caches in this area Kangadrew.

Whenever I think of Zig Zag Road I always recall those silly Aussie clowns Zig and Zag from the 80's which I didn't really like but seemed to be at every Moomba Parade. Not a clown in sight today although with the antics that Jeckleberryandtedd and I sometimes get up to, maybe there were clowns at Zig Zag Road today after all...! Thanks Kangadrew for the cache.
Here with quiet1_au and GJMMelb today. It did took us a little while to locate this cache - G spotted it, and Q retrieved it in the end.l TFTC
A somewhat strange location this - ghosts of houses past, but at least they provided a safe parking spot for G's car on this windy (to say the least) little road. Heading for the obvious target it was soon pointed out to me that that wasn't the right direction... Rejoining the others we were soon upon GZ but nothing was immediately found. Guided by the hint I knew it had to be close by and soon G' had spotted the cache and guided me to it. TFTC
Found with Lochb and Quiet1_au. At Gz I saw a likely spot but could not find a way in. Looking through from another direction I saw the cache which was close to Q, who retrieved it. Thanks kangadrew72

Didn't find this one last night, second time I tried, coords take me to one obvious spot but.......... I don't know. I could be going mad.
Muttley! GT02 Spiffy- and I headed out to Eltham to collect some caches that had eluded us previously as well as a few new ones and solved puzzles. This cache was quickly found after some bendy streets. Not many places to park! Thanks kangadrew72 for the cache.
Today Fleabag-, Muttley! and GT02 picked me up and although we didn't go out to find a couple of caches on reef island today because the tides were totally out of sync with our planned outing time we headed over towards Eltham to hopefully find a couple of puzzles we had solved plus a few DNF's we had last time we were here that all ended up being muggled.
We spent a few hours finding treasures, had a nice relaxing coffee and lemon tart at the cafe and then headed home.
Pretty windy road but managed to park fairly close and after ducking into the bushes I came out with the prize.
Thanks kangadrew72 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

We found parking across the road from the area the cache is in and made a quick find. Took the TB. TFTC.
