Find number 14522 at 1:47:25pm on Wednesday the 23 October 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks Today we bummed around Burra checking out all the historic attractions, The Police Lock Up, the Smelts Paddock, the Brewery Cellars, the Mallowen Lowarth Cottage, the Miners Duggouts, the Burra Cemetery, the Bon Accord Mine Museum, the Burra Mine Site, St Mary's Church, Market Square Museum and we sqweezed in some time for lunch at the Burra Hotel. Oh, and the Old Railway Station and a heap of geocaches as well, this place is amazing!Coming out of the mine, I just had to grab this one **Thanks for placing this cache TheKellyGang**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
A quick find while we had the area to ourselves, just replaced when a couple of vehicles arrived, it's all in the timing. TFTC
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.This was our 2nd visit to this town in the past 2 months. Today we had time to explore the copper works. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Picked up Detofinbars and headed to Burra for lunch and beers with a mate that I played cricket against over 30 years ago. He's currently on holidays visiting his parents and relatives. Picked him up and he joined us and learned about geocaching, as well as a magnificent, guided tour and history of the Burra area after a great lunch. With little or no internet, we still manage to get a few caches around the town. We also got a few on the way there and home. Overall a fantastic day was had. TFTCDidn't have to dig much, also a great view of the town.
Burra is a pleasant little community and this was a great view of the district. Tftc.
Passing through we stopped to have a look about. The collectables and antiques shop in town is worth a visit as is the mine site. TFTC
#5229 Once a group of muggles moved on, we swooped on the cache for a quick find. A nice view point from here and some excellent info boards about the area nearby. TFTC TheKellyGang
I remember doing the original to this many years ago. This was also a case of luck as there were so many hiding spots. Luckily naughtybunny saw something a little out of place and Bingo! We had it in our hands. TNLN. Cheers.
Super quick find here on a short trip to Burra with Chookster. He read out the hint to me and I happened to be right next to it...TFTC TheKellyGang
20 min scrambling but finally turned the right rock! Thanks for the fathers day cache.

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. Thanks TheKellyGang
Found it!! Great hide but the log book is pretty full, might want to replace it soon! TFTC
Vic school holidays so kids and I are road tripping to explore the Eyre Peninsula. Now it’s time to meander home! Amazing view here! Thanks for the fun and adventure!
My wife and I had been out hiking in the morning and were finishing our afternoon in Burra. It hadn’t rained all morning but it was out this afternoon but just in a pestering way.
We had our raincoats on and we’re also on holiday so things negate each other out. When you are at home some rain means stay at home and organise your toe nail collection. When you are are on holiday it means giving the rental car a wash from the inside.
This was our last find of the day before heading back to Clare and the Riesling we had bought for a good night. tftc

Found on an early morning stroll up to the lookout. Enjoyed the info boards. Doesn’t appear Llwchwr is still a recognized place name in Australia. Time for a coffee. Don’t often wander without a pen but have messaged owner with confirmation pic. Cache in reasonable condition. Cheers. DJ
Surprisingly quick find considering the multitude of possible spots it could be. Wonderful view from up here. Signed DL & GL. Tftc
I stopped off for a look around and to see the views and noticed this cache was not far away, with no one around it was a quick walk and an easy find.
My thanks to TheKellyGang for the cache,

Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Another bitterly cold, wet day today and the sky is still touching the ground, a perfect day to Geocache. An amazing location.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Came over to do the adventure lab and grabbed this while we were here
This was find number 6 for the day.

I had a bit of a look for this cache, but this is a very popular tourist destination on a sunny Saturday, and I just looked too conspicuous.
Working on-site, as they say while in Rome. Great views while working here. TFTC
Found with geobaby and yep kids on a trip away. Cache container is missing the lid and logbook is wet. TFTC
