Perfect for a fast log before leaving Airlie beach again. If you hike from the airport to the cache plan at least (!) 30 min. I walk pretty fast and was back after 25 minAnd take a hat. The sun and heat are brutal
We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to Blain-Fam for the generation of this nice cache Come Fly With Me (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Arrived at the airport early after 12 lovely days at Airlie Beach. It's time to go home to chilly Melbourne. I was about to give up on this but decided look a bit smaller. I ended up having to get another individual in the car to get it. Thank fir the cache.
We followed GPS to a logical place but could not find the cache after a long search. Sorry.
First time back in PPP since Geocaching began. Had to find the closest one to airport as soon as we arrived. Took a while but just as we were about to give up we spotted it. TFTC.
Just one last look before we left and blow me down there it wasHow come we missed it the first time? Well never know but anyway never give up. With Silly BuggerInteresting TFTC
After having arrived at PPP (what a nice abbreviation), this was our first cache on our way to Airlie Beach. We signed the logbook on the roof of our car. Thanks for hiding.Kind regards.schuhlstroo
another easy find a few punters driving past not enough to interfere with the task at hand ,signed log at 09.47am,TFTC
Wow, I'm surprised to see the last logged find on this is Dec 2023. Surely plenty of cachers fly in and out of PPP? Perhaps they take the shuttles from the airport and can't convince the driver to stop... Hmm, that could be it. Mrs Gunnie and I spent an extra long weekend in Airlie, our first visit for about 12 years and boy has this airport changes since we last flew in with the kids. Quite a change and certainly for the better. On the return trip to PPP for our flight home, I pulled up at GZ and nipped out for a scout around, where the container was quickly spotted and retrieved. Mrs Gunnie, a non cacher, sat unamused in the car while I did my thing. The cache page could use a tweak to align with current airport Ops. Tiger are an airline of the past and Qantas now also service the location. I also noted Bonza rated a mention on the terminal screens, but perhaps not to be added to the list until their fate is determined, such is the fickle nature of civil aviation. A nice quick grab to finish off our stay up North, thanks for a nice easy park and grab Blain-Fam.
Checked the area out completely and found nothing. Unless it to hog for me to see it is not there
Found on the way to our Island + Reef Scenic Flight with Air Whitsundays. Nearby we have seen a wallaby just beside the street! No. 247.
Quick park and grab with Deefa71 here this morning. Greetings from Perth. We took the last place on the logbook. Tftc
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 102. Bowen to Proserpine. After a relaxed start,I drove down to Proserpine along a section of Bruce Highway that had road works nearly all the way. I managed two of the three I had planned for the trip and then setup camp at Proserpine. I spent the rest of the morning visiting the caches around town and out towards the airport. After lunch I went for the drive to the dam. Tomorrow will be Airlie beach.
I have not had too much luck with nano's on big signs lately, and I had to carefully hunt above my head to see this one that blends in so well.
Thanks for the cache Blain-Fam

So today, I have left my Townsville Mega week long event, lol, and started my trek home. I still had a few that I wanted to collect on the way and again had no real set plans. I did want to revisit ones I did not find on the way up due to cache blindness or maybe because they were not really there. I grabbed a few and then just before I got to Mackay I realised I had time to do some of those letterboxes off to the west, so I headed out there.
This one I missed doing on the way up, not sure as to why, it was an easy find today, (shakes head).
Thanks for placing it here, a nice place to stop (twice) and refresh. With log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto the next misfit.

Another quick and easy find. Heading to the airport for a return to Brisbane after our holiday in Airlie. Found with Nari92.
Doing a pickup today while visiting Bowen so I stopped to get this little fellow. Tftc now I better get to the airport

Nice easy find. Was waiting for a pick up at the airport that was 1.5hrs late and thought I’d look to see if there was any here I missed and bingo. Ducked back and grabbed it.
Thanks again.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, Blain-Fam.

Nice quick finds. Had to watch out for the wallabies on the side of the road getting their fresh green pickings after the recent rains. Replaced log sheet. Initials only used in log book to record names.

I decided to chansett along Ansett Drive today,
and headed out to the airport
The cache was a quick fly-by find
Them cache notes need editing though !! [:o]
The list of airlines is a bit out of date.
It's mostly Alliance Airlines these days flying in and out
No signs of QANTAS, Virgin, TAA or Ansett signage to be seen anywhere !!

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
I arrived at the airport a couple of hours early for my flight home in Brisbane after an overnight work trip with 5 colleagues.
I left the others in the airport and took the 800m stroll back along the road to check out this cache. I was a bit concerned that the trip would be in vain after I had read the last log from Opa Shrek but I had plenty of time to fill and it was not too hot out there.
I arrived at the search area and found the cache on my second sweep of the spot.
TFTC Blain-Fam. All is good with this cache.

What should have been a quick find turned out not to be a find at all ... I couldn't see any sign of the cache where I expected it to be, or even on the ground at GZ. I can only surmise that someone has seen people lurking here and when they checked out what was attracting people, they liked the look of what they found ... God knows why!
Quick visit to the area for work. Was running a little early to get back to the airport so figured I would give this one a go. Good thing I was early too because it took way longer than it should have! Also had to dodge a tropical rainstorm. Homeward bound now. SL TFTC
Found. Easy one. Didn't move or put pen to paper. Just a flying visit. Lots of Wallabies around - not rugby players, thankfully!! TFTC.
Dropping dear friends at the airport to travel to Sydney and London. The kangaroos made an appearance for them as we drove past. TFTC.
Waiting for our flight to Brisbane we found this cache which seemed to be guarded by wallabies. Tftc
Heading north for a week of sailing and relaxing in the Whitsundays for our 30th anniversary. Of course we had to cache along the way.
On our way home after a fantastic week on "Lazyitis" and some wind, rain and thunderstorms.
Cheers

Our last in the Whitsundays after a wonderful week here - a Favourite Point to mark the occasion!
My last cache in the Whitsundays, after 10 great days holiday from southern NSW!
Lots of fun, sun and caches!
Easy find but no pen, so I took a photo!

A chance to visit a place in N Queensland where I have not been before. And added to that the joy of being able to find a few geocaches, this was one of them.
A relatively straightforward find once at GZ.
Cache in order.
Log signed, then cache re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC and greetings from NZ.
I visited here with teamcacher zboywonder.
