My second visit to this spot but even with Genghicat I had no more luck than last time. This time it took dodging little kids though. I really am curious where it is
DNF here had a really good look. But with loads of new mulch around the rocks it became near impossible. Next time.

I came back to this spot today,
to see if this cache would come my way ??
After 20 minutes ... "Sheesh !!",
There will be no peace.
Till I try again another day

There were some people enjoying the picnic tables but they were far enough away not to be concerned about my search efforts. Sats put me within 3m and it wasn't too long until I had cache in hand. Lovely area.

Toriaz and I had returned to Cowra after reclaiming a camping spot somewhere out of town. We had some time before meeting back up with Canary, so we decided to look for a few more caches in the Peace Precinct. This was the first of them. When I saw the rocks I wondered whether we were in for a difficult search, but Toriaz got lucky and happened to see the cache in the first place she looked. I was glad of it because there were some people not too far away, although I think they were more interested in exploring each other rather than wondering at the peccadilloes of their fellow human beings. Thanks

I admit, I wasn't expecting to find this cache. A micro amongst all the rocks seemed like a hard task. But I moved one rock out of the way & spotted the cache container, in the very first spot I checked.
Thanks

Cowra - a town with a fascinating if somewhat black history.
We stopped here on the way home from the Geo Muster, to learn more of the history and find some of the many caches showing on our geo-map. We were amazed at the lush grass in areas of the park.
Satellites today had our GZ 8 metres south of where we found the cache.
Thanks 'Chuze' for placing caches in the area.

I found the cache in the third place I looked. I felt lucky about that, there were so many places still to look.
Headed away for the weekend with fitzy_1965. Made our way through Cowra and Bathurst trying to pick up some out of the way caches and some previous DNFs. I ended up with 48 finds but unfortunately we had around 17 more DNFs.
Took a little bit but we found it in the end.

15,401. Found during a Cowra/Bathurst region run this weekend with minniek.
Day 2 dawned and we headed out towards Bathurst while grabbing a few local caches first. We had a pretty good search and then I spotted the well hidden and well blended cache ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we headed off to the next one.
Thanks Chuze !!

Found on a hot saturday afternoon - took a little while but we got it eventually TFTC!
TParkrun Tourism is a great excuse to get a little caching time in too. Am very lucky that some parkrun friends and hubby are also cachers. So like the three amigos Geosnag1, StrangeTrousers and I headed off to Cowra to enjoy the launch of their new parkrun and of course a little caching. Camping was great – noise from traffic and the party animals of the human type nearby not so great. The launch was a success and the views some of the best for any parkrun I have done. Post run breakfast was very nice and I enjoyed my waffles at the Oxford. With all the sorting of camping gear and wandering round the beautiful Japanese Garden we were a little time poor on the caching side this visit.
Time to come clean and let everyone know I would love to see my summer snake. Why you ask? Nearly every one I know has seen one and has their snake story. Am I unobservant and have missed “my snake?” or am I going to step on one in my Bridget Jones moments and end up with selfie shots of me and the snake wrestling as I try to disentangle myself from it. On this weekend there were quite a few DNF’s which had me wondering about my skills set – no snake, not many caches. Geosnag1 had a laugh when I kicked a wall next to him with frustration at not finding the last two DNF’s. I will be back and before summer ends hopefully too.

#3614 5 of 10 today.
I headed up to Cowra this weekend as the local parkrun was launching on Saturday and I was with a group of runners rather than geocachers. For something different, I camped at the Cowra Van park with CBRChic & Geosnag1. The weather was perfect for camping, but it was a bit noisy overnight due to traffic and a nearby party that raged until about 3AM. Finally got some sleep before rising with the birds in time for the parkrun. After the run and breaky at the Oxford we headed back to the camp to decamp. So in the end we had less than 1/2 day for caching as we needed to head back to Canberra tonight.
We had a find ratio of only about 50%, ie, lots of DNFs. Unfortunately I cannot log the DNFs due to a glitch with my GPSr, but CBRChic will not doubt log those. Either many were too good for us or just plain missing. But we enjoyed wandering around the very pretty town of Cowra. The food was good and we especially enjoyed the Japanese gardens. We saw lots of lizards, but no snakes.
Not too hard.

Found 6:21 pm with the girlfriend. We are in the area and I was keen to find some geocaches as not too likely to come through here again. Our time was running out and we still wanted to look around as well. We arrived at GZ and I did a bit of a look around then i noticed a possibility and yes found the cache. I signed the log and then we returned the cache to its hiding spot. It's been done up nicely around here and now we will take in some of the views.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Our first find for the day. Mr oz got this one and just as well he did or we would still be there next year. Nice hide in a lovely area and indeed a part of our history. Nice hide. 2387 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Chuze, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. took nothing, left nothing
Weekend around NSW August 2017. After a night camping near Young I headed off for the third day of this trip on a much better day. Another DNF for me here.
Thanks.

Thanks.

No luck for us with this one today. It eluded us 12 months ago and again today.
With the weekend free of any work requirements it was time for a two day drive west of Canberra to Junee, Temora and Grenfall. Plenty of caches along the way with a mixture of interesting places and placements. Another look for me and no luck today.
Thanks.

Well this made for an interesting cache. Had a plan as to why I wanted to find this one and it made sense to JB as to why we should stop on the way to Canberra and visit her favourite spot to find a cache.
Made a quick find and then my real reason for stopping there was put into play. It didn't really go to plan as it was raining very hard but lets just say I heard the words that I wanted to hear.
She said yes.

Found a lot of smaller rocks and tested them all. Looked in all the crevices but no luck.
I was in the area recently and I couldn't find the cache either. It was no longer where I found the cache back in May. It appeared missing to me too. Sorry .
Cairns trip 2016. Day 1. Today I set out from Canberra caching through Cowra, Forbes, Parkes and Narromoine before spending an unsettled night at Narromine where the smoke detector went off at 2am !
No luck for me here today.
Thanks.

Unfortunately this one had us beat. Think we were on the right track but no luck. Note we found a small container similar to the one at the lookout on the grass. If this was it its likely been muggled.
Two DNFs in a row. Given that this is supposed to be a small and a D1.5 I suspect it might be missing. I actually searched the area twice, before and after finding Cowra Rocks. This DNF turned out to be one of many this weekend where I had a 2:1 find:DNF ratio [xx(]
There was a gathering of people in the park and children running about, but fortunately not near where this was hidden. A quick find. TFTC Chuze.
I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” Throsbyonchurch and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.

A quick find after Muggles left area. Duty done here off for the next one on a beautiful, very warm afternoon caching in Cowra. TFTC Travelling slowly homewards after a six month stay in Tassie.
Out with team CRuDSS for Easter Long Weekend. Lovely day for a cache. Blue skies. Quick find. TFTC

TFTC this was a nice place for a walk with plenty of muggles around, the cache was well hidden but easy enough to find.
Replaced awhile ago, forgot to put OM up. Original may be here somewhere but most likely stolen.
We spent quite sometime looking for this one, we even went and got the nearby cache and returned to this one for a second search. Unfortunately, there was no cache located here that we could find. Based on the string of DNF's, might be a good idea for the CO to check on this one. Thanks anyways.
No luck at this one today think it might be MIA.
CO might like to check if it is or isn't there.
We'll be back.

No muggles around here in the morning and after a long clamber around the rocks no cache was found.

Out enjoying Cowra and picking up a few caches. TFTC. Found on our great Aussie Road Trip heading East
Today we spent some time around Cowra hunting for a selection of caches. This one was found near the nice picnic area after just a short search. TFTC.

We arrived in Cowra today, and decided that the nice sunny afternoon would be great to make a dent in the local 'caches. We started off at a random cache and then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest, and so on. We ended up logging 9 and DNF'd 5.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

This morning, I drove, not strolled, to GZ for another crack at finding this cache
It was a lot quieter !! [^]
And this time around I had me "Mint Tin Finding Geotool ™" with me
- 98% success rate at finding Mint Tins !! -
If this cache was made of something that sticks to a magnet, then this tool (the geo-tool, not me !!) will find it !! [:o)]
And after a good poke around for 15 minutes,
nothing found
So either the cache is not attracted to magnets, or it isn't there
Oh well !! DNF for now !!

In the not so peaceful, Peace Precinct today, I whiled away 20 minutes.
I spent the time poking around the rocks, while the noisy crowds down the road did whatever they were doing
Lots of drums !!
Anyhoo !!
This cache seems to be a needle in a rock-stack [:o]

Another perfect spring day for a drive to Cowra for the night.
This took a while to locate as it does blend in very well. Could be worth a higher D rating.
Thanks for the cache Chuze,
