Alas alack and fiddledeedee,
Someone has heavily pruned the tree
Cache gone!!!

Cache gone!!!
As this area is now so busy with Edgecumbe relief programs, we will call it a day.
Learnt a bit about native trees but failed to find the cache. Will try again sometime when passing through.
out for the day after dropping school group in Whakatane and before picking up again later
Had a bit of trouble with GPS on this I think the trees keep me off a bit but widened search and eventually spotted something. Many thanks for the cache.
Found with drimdram101 came with jeffcrazys and thought that it would be a quick Find but realise the pohutakawa tree had been pruned so reread logbook and saw the note that had been posted after that it was an easy find tftc
Taking junior caches to get a few local hides. Been here b4 n thought it'd be a quick grab. The poor tree! Soon spotted new location. And then Muggles everywhere. Had to sit tight til they departed to put cache back.
With the GPS jumping around a fair bit & not knowing much about trees I had quite an area to search which turned up nothing so I phoned the CO's for help.Margaret was coming past in about fifteen minutes & offered to call in to assist. She pointed out the tree & we wandered over & oh no,the aborists had been & trimmed the tree & the cache was gone.Having a suitable replacement with me we got it up & running again. Thanks for your help folk & good to catch up again.
I was off in my original thoughts of where this was likely to be located, but broadening the search, a stop to reflect and there it was. Might have been a bit lucky, these ones are often difficult to find. TFTC
This one took a little luck I think. The hint was pretty straight forward but my cords were out and I had 4 trees to choose from. So I spent a bit of time looking then I just happen to look at the right spot at the right time, it was pretty obvious but then again, only once you've seen it. I certainly earnt that 'D' rating.
Early 2015 a group of Tauranga based cachers started a [BOP Geocaching Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/GeocachingBOP/).
115 cachers currently make up this [Closed](https://www.facebook.com/help/220336891328465#What-are-the-privacy-options-for-groups) group and have already organised various events and excursions thanks to the connectivity facebook provides. Please check us out if you haven't already.

Yes, the poor Pohutukawa has had quite a pruning so the cache has been moved about 5m

Poor tree !!! Top chopped off, and broken branches too! we can only hope that the damage hasn't been done by over zealous geocachers. TFTC.
On a mission today to Kawerau and surrounding areas, then through the lakes to Rotorua and then home to Tauranga.
4th find here, nothing much going on at the Te Teko Memorial Hall today which helped as this crafty one took me a few minutes to spot, but got there in the end. Nearly googled the hint but didn't need to in the end.

On a mission to Whakatane to buy a new stove/sink combo for the caravan project, so we had to take the opportunity to do some caching on the way. This was another one on our hit list. Mr S parked the Geomobile and said to Mrs S " there you go, you get it" but in the end it took Mr S's sharper eyes to make the find.
Thanks Dominic-Aidan for another smilie.

One of the many caches we found on our campervan journey from Lower Hutt to Tauranga. A mighty and enjoyable journey through many great and iconic parts of the north island. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to new places. Sorry for the generic log.
On the way home from our last Xmas hoilday trip, and I couldn't just head straight home, so a few quick caches on the way sounded like a great idea. With the GPS still not giving me cache info, I started hunting for it at GZ while CB got the hint off the phone. Once I had the hint though it didn't really help with matters bar narrow down the search area, as it me a few minutes to find it. Been through this little town a few times and seen horses tied up at the shop, so definitely like Texas here. Thanks for the hide.
A quick Google of the hint and we went on our way in search of the cache didn't take long to find it. Tftc
Spent 5 minutes looking to no avail, knew what it would be, then geo wife got out of the car and spotted it straight away, doh!, thanks Ma & Pa
Grabbed this one on our way home tonight from an afternoon at ohope caching nice quick find.

This one is up the road from my daughters new farm - so after dropping the grandkids at school and preschool stopped off to pick up some new caches. Googled the hint and knew I was in the right spot and then spotted the cache. Nice and quiet here this morning TFTC
The Squirrel and us are chasing caches for our licence challenge (caches published on day or within the week). Great 4 caches today within theses bounds.
5.30pm - Good camo and took awhile to find. SLTFTC

Another aspect of our current missions... This one involves finding caches within the week of publication... On this adventure with Gap (of Fap and Gap).
We decided to embark on a short road trip to gather up the most recent placements in the Eastern Bay. This was our first stop. At a short distance away, we wondered where ground zone could possibly be. Then we arrived at the Te Teko War Memorial Hall... We were familiar with the hint and went straight into search mode. It took ages of circling back and forth to spot this one. When we found it, we couldn't get over how obvious it was... TFTC.

We don't go that way very often these days and hadn't seen this wonderful mural, so we headed out for a look and a hunt.
The history was very interesting too........what a great heyday down in Texas.
Well, we were a bit shy about going for the cache as there was a wedding reception at the hall, but found it was hidden in a nice and private position. We were about to go back to the car to look up the meaning of the clue when Murray spotted the well-hidden cache. Thanks very much!

On our way home from tauranga we got an email new cache in Te Teko. Well why not make a little detour. Took us a while to locate but we had our torches and ah there it is a great ending to a great day ftf first to find. Thanks DnA for a fun night adventure. The mural is awesome too.
We were on our way back from Tauranga when this cache came up. It was dark but we decided to look anyway. Jess88 found it in the end tftc
