In Bunbury and Collie for WAGB2022! A massive weekend of caching and catching up with friends. A big thank you to all the COs that have placed caches for this weekend, as well as COs maintained by existing listings. You have made this weekend what it is! Apologies for the generic logs. Cheers baconfamily33!
Day 6 of WAGB22 week, finished up at the annual dinner.
Today was hitting Bunbury pretty hard - particularly the south. Today managed 78 finds (including Lab Adventures), had a 6 DNF’s and 10 FTF’s.
Thanks to the local hiders in maintaining the hides.

The drive to this cache was over so very soon. This time I could park so much closer to the GZ. But the span of time from start to cache was a little bit larger. I chose the not so easy approach and I also had to give any snakes a chance to withdraw. Though Charlotte’s kin were kind enough to not to lay traps in my way. However once I was through the thick of it, the cache was lying in wait in almost plain sight.
After my crown was put in the log I took the somewhat easier path out. And so my geocaching today comes to an end.

Decided we would tackle this series before heading home from our weeks holiday in Bunbury.. All good here, TFTC baconfamily33!
2nd day of our geocaching weekend. Thank you to the COs for placing and maintaining the caches. Its been a great weekend in Bunbury.
Decided to make a weekend in and around Bunbury to collect as many caches as possible with Geotrakka. Way out of my comfort zone. Thanks for the cache.
Found by Mrs Copwat on a wet and windy day she was surprised how busy the road was on a work day and the speed that some were traveling at on such a tight bend and how much rubbish there was around the parking area. log was a little damp cache in good condition TFTC
Very pleased to turn a "disappointie" into a "smilie". Last time we tried this one we found that the car aircon had blown-up while we were searching, taking our attention away from the cache. Today, no such problem and the cache was soon in hand. All good and thankyou to the baconfamily33.
While crossing over from HWY 1 to HWY 10 the box could be found without any problems !

Finally getting near the end of the Piggy series. I did this one today but I've been here with Rach previously just didn't sign the log but today I did.
So naturally didn't even need my gps to make the find.

Woohoo tomorrow it's George Piggy

Are we mad or what? After our epic day in Bunbury on Thursday WebblyWA & I decided a return trip was called for as we have now solved Richlink's Superhero final & we HAVE to go & find it. In addition to this we had both found Alpha 123 Challenge Australia but SHOCK, HORROR,GASP Webby does not quite qualify for it. However all the numbers she is missing can be found in just one series. And guess what that's in BUNBURY too. So here we are again
I am ashamed to say that I have never read Charlotte's Webb. Time to rectify that I think. TFTC

Not such an early start today, PP2 and I returned to Bunbury to visit the super top secret Super Hero hideout. With that done it is time to start a new series. After recently fixing a DNF at the Alpha 123 challenge I went to log and noticed I was a couple of numbers short. All was not lost I could collect those numbers with just one piggy series.
Charlottes Web was one on my favourites as a kid, I still have my life sized Babe. I felt like Templeton here at the tip in search for the perfect thing. With a GPS not playing the game it took some time before I found the some cache.

I decided that today I would get out and find a few caches. Easy find although a challenge the way I approached it. TFTC
MDV and I are spending a few days in Bunbury. Around mid morning, we headed out to log the traditional caches in the series. Thanks for the time and effort you have spent hiding these caches.
I picked this cache up at 11:38am. Ok, this cache nearly put an end to my caching adventure, I parked badly and rethought it almost immediately, but it was too late!! The shitty hire car was bogged in the sand!!! Oh No!!! I nearly had a panic attack. Thankfully I was able to calm down enough to engage my brain and calmly get the car out of the sand (full lock, slowly slowly, which is always hard in an auto). Phew!!! On to the next cache, careful of the sand.
The rest of my party were off enjoying the Steamy delights of Dardanup Heritage Park, and I decided to head out and get some caches. Much more fun for me to find a few caches. Since this series was near by, I decided to see how many I could get done before the boys called the taxi (me) back
Thanks for the cache baconfamily33.

Took the wrong path and found a few webs, but once I was on the right track, soon found the cache. TFTC
Snake country on this one, luckily didn't see one today though. Found another container here but it was just roadside rubbish. Got the correct one just after. Tftc
Enjoying a holiday in Perth with tmann421 and collecting a few caches along the way.
Another great find here. TFTC

TFTC! Headed down to Bunbury with Cravo10 to the meet and greet event in dalyellup and collected a bunch of caches on the way there and the return journey.
Had a great meetup with around ten participants ranging in experience from 27 finds to 14000 finds. Had a lot of chatter about the accuracy of smart phone co ordinates and some general how to questions around offline lists and alike. Was great to meetup with everyone.
We targeted a few caches around town before doing some of the pig series and departing Bunbury for Perth.
Thanks for a great day out will be back soon.

Had just left our car (with the aircon on due to the hot day) to search when I looked back at the car. The interior was filling with what appeared to be smoke. I returned to the car and switched the engine off to find steam coming out of all the air vents and water flowing into the passenger footwell and out from under the car. Suddenly this had a higher priority than caching. Thanks to the vast majority of would-be helpers but we were rescued by the assigned breakdown van and got home about 8pm. A pork-ind of ending to a great weekend.
Hi there baconfamily33 - We found #5 Wilbur - Charlottes Web today - our find # 3603. Headed southwards today with geobuddy Mark, with Busselton as our ultimate destination as I had some maintenance to do for West Oz Geocaching. But we couldn't not stop and do this fantastic series now could we? Most of them were straightforward finds, but a couple were a bit trickier, and one eluded us altogether, which just gives me the incentive to come back down another day. My son loved the movies when he was a little - brings back happy memories. Thanks for the smiley baconfamily33
On the way down to Bunbury for the weekend to spend with friends we haven't seen in years due to us being in QLD for 6 years so we thorougly enjoy all the "fresh new green dots on the map" after having cached out North East Queensland . tftc
Need to get a calendar find for today and this series is close to home so picking them off as I need them. Luckily the sun is shining

Out on this beautiful day collecting a couple caches in the area good quick find TFTC
This was, in some ways a challenging series. The traffic was horrendous and parking was at a premium for some caches. All were found to be in good order, some required a widening of the search zone a little, others were easily discovered. Thanks baconfamily33 we enjoyed the series and the variety of hides.
After picking up a few caches in Capel we headed over to do this series. All the caches were found some taking a bit of searching and one or two being a bit tricky. We got rained on a few times but we had a good time finding all the caches. TFTC baconfamily33
Hubby made a quick find here and when he brought it over for me to sign, I found a lovely Extagz inside, so I took that one and swapped it for one of mine.

Woke up kinda early for a Sunday and geo kid is actually on holiday over east so was going to climb back into bed when I heard my notifications beeping away .
So grabbed me stuff and went to find this series , pretty happy that's it's not raining and being early the roads weren't to busy either! So I'm glad I didnt waste the morning in bed.
Thanks baconfamily33 for the taking the time to put out this series , I liked there was a variety of caches and some real effort put into some of them. I really enjoy my morning finding these! TFTC
