My first find! I work at the winery, so it was a quick easy one to find. Thankyou!
This is a beautiful area to explore, its a bit early for a tipple for me but perfect time for a quick cache. I have headed off for a day and a half or so, planning to cache from Maldon, over to Red Bank then wending my way towards Creswick. i will hopefully be tidying up a few stragglers on my map, exploring more GCA caches and visiting at least a couple of new areas. Just A Tiple is find number 4,054 for me. A fun small sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Pyrenees Shire. I am logging this one on Tuesday 24 Sept 2024 at 7:54 am and the weather is Overcast Clouds 10C 88% 2 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy TeamStArnaud.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Thanks for the adventure my family liked it friends that r girls didnt find amusing but thanks
I headed up to Dimboola for a CITO yesterday and did not realise it had been cancelled on Friday evening until I was checking what time it was planning on starting when in Stawell. It was cancelled due to the heat and the total fire ban as well.It was going to be hot picking up rubbish so it was for the best.I did some caching in Stawell and still headed up to Dimboola to do a small I Spy Series. On the way back I tried booking some accommodation for the night. After finding out that all of the accomodation is booked out between Stawell and Ballarat for night I stayed in Avoca for the night and now it is a different way home.I got up early and headed out to Percydale to check that out and I have now made it out of the bush to continue in the direction of home but possibly a few detours on the way.I enjoy a nice red from this winery but as it was too early for the cellar door to be open I missed out.Cache was soon located and returned. Thanks TeamStArnaud TFTC
Out caching with Lumpyjrb, this was a nice quick little cache. Thanks for the cache.
A nice and quick find on the NY Day Public holiday. Nice to have a LWE. We started with the triple Skipton Events, camping and caching our way to Bung Bong to spend the night with Mrs Riddells Family and off to Cache some more today before going home tonight.
TFTC on a hot summer morning.

Cruising the back lanes, we're not wine drinkers which is no matter as it's caches we are after anyway and there we were in luck. Tftc
**Found en route to Horsham for a couple of nights**
Enjoyed a trip around back roads letting my GPS be my guide. Getting off the main highways as it was a long weekend in Melbourne. I enjoy taking the back roads - you see more.
The thing I love about caching is the interesting history, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the stories, the interests of the individual CO’s, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals don’t know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most CO’s take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own.
Thank you TeamStArnaud for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts.
Good coordinates led to a fairly quick find. Cache and contents on good condition.

**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.

After spending the night camping with Mr Dromaniax at their block in Moonambel we headed to Avoca this morning for breakfast before heading back to Moonambel to pack up camp.
With camp all packed up we planned out route home with some key caches that we wanted to grab on the way home.
As we left the area we happened to pass one last cache so of course it was a must to stop to sign the logbook.
Thank you TeamStArnaud for keeping this alive
Sorry for the late log

I headed out with Steve to Avoca to target some of Victoria's 500 oldest caches.
The weather was perfect all day but once in the bush, our progress was hindered and then stopped a number of times by branches and entire trees that had been downed by last week's storm.

After attending the nearby event, catnap777 and I piled into the old man's XTrail along with Cybergran V to tour the Pyrenees and rob it of as many hidden treasures as we could.
We cleaned out Avoca, then Percydale and grabbed this one on the way out of the bush coming down on a road less travelled. [^]
TFTTiple wildnic27 and thanks for looking after it TeamStArnaud.

Left Geelong Thursday morning and cached my way up to Avoca, set up the van in the Caravan Park and glad I changed from the free camp area as the nights were very cold and ice on the screen most mornings.
With 104 caches to log I will have to cut and paste most so thanks to all the folk who placed these caches out there for us to find because without your effort we would not have any to find.
Another day and a new area to hunt for a few more Geocaches with my good friend au.fait, and we called into this guy after doing the LAB cache.
Thanks to TeamSt.Arnaud for taking over these caches.

We had to pop into one of the local wineries as we had three half cases of wine to pick up. COVID-19 had stopped us from being able to pick up our subscription. We will enjoy partaking in quite a few bottles of lovely wine. While in the area, we decided to pick up all the caches in this area around Percydale. The GPS had us on the wrong side of the road initially, then settled right where the cache is located. The cache was retrieved, and the logbook was signed. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache wildnic26 and for TeamStArnaud for adopting it and keeping it going.

After completing the Percydale Adventure Labs series and other Traditionals in the area we headed back to Avoca via the Old Coach Road and other dubious rocky tracks to emerge on this bitumen road and find the cache.
I’m sure we could have possibly found this via a much smoother road but it wouldn’t have been the adventure we experienced.
Thanks for the cache found with dalerious Catnap777 and our intrepid chauffeur Muggle Hubby

An easily found cache located a short stroll from the Blue Pyranees Winery where we enjoyed a fine lunch and definitely more than just a tipple of wine! Thanks for the cache!
After enjoying a leisurely and delicious lunch at Blue Pyrenees Estate (with wine tasting and wine purchases!) we strolled down the road to find this cache. At least 4 fire trucks zoomed past, headed to what we believe was a woodpile fire, but we found the cache right away. Signed the log amid the aroma of woodsmoke. Hopefully they put the fire out! Lovely afternoon with fearofemeralds and others.
Today was planned for a drive to the Pyrenees and have a picnic lunch at Governor Rock lookout.
No wine tasting today but found a cache Cigc. Tftc

Out today with Sean.75 and kenare. We are on our way to have a picnic lunch and check out a look out. Once we were wet we realised we were looking in the wrong side of the road!!! Lol. Tftc
Oh dear!! Of course the rain started once we arrived here!! Arrow was pointing in place so we searched there to no avail. After a few minutes of getting cold and wet it finally decided to jump across the road!! lol. A quick find once we were in the obvious place! tftc
A warmish morning called for some cruising around the vineyards

Sadly no time for tasting today.
It was all about caching on the way to the mega.
I jumped from the car and for some reason initally searched on the the dark side.
Then I widened the search and come up trumps.

I was visiting St Arnaud for the mega event but having made a pretty late decision to attend we were staying a long way out of town. I let the rest of the family sleep in and arranged for a 6.30am meet up with SirJ-Oz to get out and grab a few caches in the early morning. We were staying near to this one so I made a small diversion here to round off a very productive morning with my 66th find at this one. This one didn't delay me too long as it proved to be a quick find in a likely spot. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for placing this one wildnic26 and to TeamStArnaud for keeping it going.
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks TeamStArnaud for the cache.

When making some rough plans for our weeks stay in St Arnaud, Geoturtle had mentioned that she really wanted to spend a day exploring this area. She likes looking for the old caches and the chance to practice her 4x4 driving.
At a bit of a chat last night, others mentioned that they would like to also have a look around the area so we ended up with 6 Victorians, 2 Canadians and 3 Vehicles.
We left St Arnaud at about half eight and were on our way after fueling up.
Avoca was our first stop as the bakery there has some awesome combinations and our overseas visitors had never heard of, nor tasted a snot block.
With taste testing over, we were on our way.
We had a good day with great company. Many laughs were had, caches were found and some great views and driving fun was had.
As it was getting dark and we could see rain heading our way, we chose to leave the hills behind and come back another day to complete what we didn't get to this time.
Avoca was again a place for nourishment, both food and beverage. After everyone had had a good feed, we stopped in at the Chinese Gardens and the cemetery for that "just one more" cache.
Thank you to all the CO's that made this possible. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day and we will definitely be back to look around some more.

Before leaving Melbourne, we discussed the caches that we wanted to target with OHC and I mentioned that the ones in this area were definitely on my "to do list". Quite a few of them have CO's that we know, they are old caches and we have heard a lot about them.
We had today free so with a few more friends (and two more cars), we headed to Avoca to visit the bakery after re-fuelling in St Arnaud.
Once we had finished our snacks, and introduced our Canadian passengers to the delights of "snot blocks", we were on our way into the bush.
We had a great time exploring the tracks and locating caches. There was only one road that we chose to not attempt but there were more than enough other tracks to get us where we needed to be.
We saw some great views and explored a mine shaft or two. We eventually found our way to civilisation and found a few more caches.
We watched the sky darken quite quickly and it was decided that we would make our way back to Avoca for some dinner and come back another day.
I believe we all enjoyed our dinner and we made our way to the cache at the Chinese Garden and then onto the multi at the cemetery. By the time we got to the cemetery, it was dark and drizzling which definitely added to the atmosphere of caching in a cemetery at night.
From here, we re-inflated our tyres and made our way back to camp at St Arnaud.
Many thanks to all the CO's that placed, maintain and adopted these great caches. We are looking forward to coming back here and doing the caches that we didn't have time for today.
Again, to all the CO's and today's company, Thank You for a great day out.

Out on a geocaching trek with seven others in 3 vehicles to conquer a few geocaches in the Pyrenees State Forest. Chasing some old caches and also some different D/T combinations.
After fueling up we departing St Arnaud at 8:30 in the morning in convoy and headed direct to the pies shop in Avoca where Kangaroo Pies and Snot Blocks were on the agenda for our international guests. We reached our first cache at 10:45 for a quick find, the start of 24 in total for the day. There was some easy driving tracks, a few missed or incorrect turns, some fairly heavy 4x4 tracks and many interesting places were discovered.
By the time we arrived back in Avoca at 6:30 pm for a counter meal at the pub most were weary and needed a meal and beer.
Somewhat revived we headed to the Chinese Garden and the local Cemetery for a couple of quick caches on the way back to St Arnaud, arriving at 9:30 pm.
Thanks everyone for a fun day!
All caches were quick finds by one or another of the group.
Took an army to find this easy one and we were greeted by someone driving out the gate who drove up to us and asked "did you find it" with a knowing smile, we all laughed and acknowledged that we did.

I was out doing the 2018 Blue Pyrenees Magic Ride raising money for the rotary Club in this area, 113km. Afterwards I went to find this cache and saw about 11 4WDs coming or going from the Percydale tracks. Cheers
TFTC. We had an appointment in Avoca today so we decided to do a cache run in the nearby Percydale Goldmining Area. Coming of the bitumen onto the gravel we had a great time traversing the tracks. Nice to get back to bitumen if only for a short while. Quick find although we did need to pull over and pretend we were on a phone call until a couple of locals passed by.
