After starting this about 6 years ago, I can finally add the smiley face. I have been to the reservoir a few times lately, with the new AL and bonus. With GZ finally in my phone, I headed over the other day, but it was dark and wet, and left empty-handed.After doing the new GHHH multi sat Fairfield with Martin cousins, he joined me at GZ. I new what to do, but after been exposed to wet weather for many years, the rust had taken hold of it and it was impossible to open. I sent photos to the CO, who kindly allowed me to log a FOUND IT. This pleasant ph....., oops. Pheasant Plucker has been plucked. Have a FP for all the work that went into the WPs and very apt GZ. TFTC
After several visits over the years, I finally got to GZ. But the mechanism has rusted closed tight over the years. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing end to a good multi. Thanks for the field puzzle anyway.
We started this one months ago but never finished it until this Sunday.
On our first go we took our bikes to WP1 and then WP2. At WP2 it took us a while to find the clue. But just before the park closed we found what we needed for the final.
This Sunday we went to GZ found the container but some issue to find the right way to open it. Once open we signed the log book and put everything back.
Thanks for this multi. The owner did some good work to hide everything. +1 favourite point.

A very pleasant cache. I had previously started on this cache, visiting the posted coords and working out the next waypoint. Today I visited it, and then found the coords for the next waypoint are now given in the description just waiting for you to pluck them. Joined by a geofriend who I had seen at an Event earlier in the day, I walked from WP2 to GZ for a nice surprise. I am awarding this cache a favourite point. TFTC Morley196
This has taken a while to finally get the cache. Not as long as teamMerlin as not being a Premium Member at the time it wasn't on my list. When I started looking for this one pre Covid but after the top area was closed it made it hard finding the info for WP1. But then one time I was checking the cache again saw a hint which meant I didn't have to go to WP1.
WP2 this took me a few goes to get as didn't know what I was looking for and eventually contacted Morly196 for a hint but by the time I got the reply I was already on the way back to the car. Still took 2 more trips along the 1.75 km out and back before I got the info for the Final
The final took me two goes to get the first time took a while to find a spot to park near an entry point then once that was found it was a nice walk to GZ but when I was approaching I realized that there were workmen drilling right next to my listed GZ so went back.
Today with a bit of drizzle around I arranged to meet teamMerlin & TARDIS 0061 who were both at this stage to see if we could finally get the cache. So after meeting in the same spot I used before we headed along the path and soon got to GZ. Realized what we needed to do to get the cache we soon had the log in our hands
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache The OOMPAS & Morley196

This one has been a few years in the making as we first started this multi whilst visiting the area and posted coordinates for a GCNSW xmas party...but today having previously collected the other waypoints and with coordinates for GZ in hand we meet up with phlphotos and TARDIS 0061 for a muggle free visit of the final. Brilliant work - both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the multi The OOMPAS & Morley196 - awarding a FP

It was probably 8 years ago that I started the original but never finished. Alas I attempted to reach WP3 today only to be thwarted by a closed gate. The Yellow One came to my aid and provide some live commentary to help me find the prize. And what a final!

Found with Deep_99. I did WP1 a long time ago when it was available, we did WP2 a while back but left getting the cache until today. Thanks Oompas for placing the original cache and Morley for resurrecting it. Fav awarded. SL #3960 on streak day #2457 TFTC
found with Ris768 who had found WP1, we found WP2 together then made our way to the GZ today thanks for keeping this one going Morley196

Streak Day #1836 - Dave8153 and i headed out to this one after we had some intel on WP2 [a sneaky bugger it twas] and even then it took us a few mins to nab the co ords for the final GZ. Made the trek to GZ and found pretty quickly, Whilst im pretty sure i had done the original, i could not remember the location of GZ so after many attempts at WP1 and WP2 can finally turn this one into a smiley
Cache find No. 2621
Streak Day: 947
Finally found this cache today with Snoopy1976 after a couple of other failed attempts at finding WP2. Came to waypoint 2 today with a little further intel of what we were looking for. Still took us about 10 minutes once at the waypoint to find the required info and then it was onto GZ and spotted what could be the cache. Had a couple of attempts at working out how to open the container and then we had logbook in hand. Signed and returned. TFTC

I found the original in September 2009, I used my memory of that expedition to go straight to GZ for a easy find. Thanks for the redux.
Good memories of one of my earliest finds on a very hot February day, with a couple of good mates, years ago. Although I didn't immediately remember the opening sequence, but it came to me soon enough.
Scared a poor huntsman out of its home and signed below the previous finder, DKMacca.
There is some construction work not too far away but it's well segregated from GZ.
Thanks for the revival Morley196.

A huge amount of construction work is going on along the track near GZ, so I gave up stopping for a search last week. Hope the cache survives.
This cache has been on my to do list ever since I started 10 years ago and with a DNF on the first version of this and again yesterday on this version, I was determined to put a smiley here. So! back again to WP2 and armed with a bit of intel, I searched where I had the day before and bingo! Info for WP3 revealed, How I missed this the day before?
Arriving at GZ a little while later, I see where I need to be and start my way into the log sheet. After a few minutes of this and that, the log book was in hands. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Due to the first WP being in a restricted type area, and as the original cache location I will not change these coordinates I have put the coordinates in the discription. It is 4 difficulty for a reason.
location of Wp2 is now in description. Still 4 difficulty.so may take an hour or 2 to find WP2. the reward is worth it. I will try to retrieve WP1 and find a suitable location.
Due to WP1 no longer accessible to the public this needs to b archieved. Yes we did make the trek up but after reading recent logs you are not allowed up here.
WP1 not accessible to the public anymore, went up anyway with original coords and new coords. Original coords pulled on everything and came up with nothing. On to the new coords.... Nothing in sight, not sure what we were even meant to be looking for. Is this even possible anymore... Big NO ACCESS sign heading up asked security on our way back and were advised no you are not allowed up there. Attention to this please.
Yesterday i went to Pheasant Park and i walked around to park then drive all the way find few caches then went to Multi and i looked everyhwhere at WP1 for 30 mind ffinally found then zoom to WP2 looked for one hour but cant find... i send email to owner and he give me Hints then back again with Mr roo today... i looked for 20 mins finally found from 4m.... Oh Phew!!! zoom to finally GZ.. Yay found by Mr roo... Thank you Morley196... Put fav for you... wink...
Teamed up with All7 on this one, she had done the hard work at acouple of waypoints but couldnt find one so emailed the CO who helped her out, thanks. We went back today with this information and finally found the gz coordinates. We couldnt find much parking at gz so I walked to it and ALL& stayed with the car. I made a easy find but had trouble getting the cache out. Finally got it. Nice construction on the gz TFTC
Wow! Yay! What a plucking pheasant end to a plucking pheasant day! We started our search back on Boxing Day 2015. Our logs of four past visits in January and March tell the story so far. Then last month we scored the coordinates for GZ from Kid Ron Satan and Calypso62 after multiple unsuccessful visits at WP2. Other parts of life got in the way of returning to the Prospect Reservoir area until Mr Gaztek just determined to do it today. Never mind that the Swans won last night, that we've been offered Grand Final tickets, that an overseas friend is in town and that we have an unexpected surprise party to attend this afternoon (yes, most surprises are unexpected!), this is the highlight of the day!! An hour's drive brought us near GZ for the pheasant walk. What we were looking for was pretty apparent. What to do with it was not. We had already studied lots of old logs and instructions not to pull. Like others before us it was tempting not to try pulling. So we tried a few other things that had worked with similar appearing caches. Well, they sort of worked but we couldn't plucking work out what to do next. Mr G recognised that something about this part was not how it should be. We scouted the vicinity for clues or other things but nothing. The ghost of SpinDoctors whispered through his old 2010 log. Something he said led us to do something that worked. YAY!! A strong favourite from us for this clever, memorable, well-constructed geocache. TN L a back scratcher and a marble for a puckish marble-ous multi cache SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Dejavu! My caching bible contains all the wpts for this cache, so it was not that hard finding GZ again. I remember it well. This was a targeted cache for a Geosportz challenge. So I dropped in after work. same parking spot, same walk but wow, the vegetation sure has grown since I found it last in 2009. I spied the camo. Now do I remember what to do next. Hmm, the first bit yes, then had to stop and think a bit at what I'd done, then it hit me. Of course that's what you do. this time , I had no problems extracting the log and really enjoyed reading the log book again. Came upon my old entry and remember writing how evil this cache was. I signed my name after Gatherer Hade. In order, bahaah. It seems that Team Webguy signed on a blank page inbetween others from way back then bikerbuddy and Toriaz followed suit. I now read that Toriaz realised the same thing I did about Pheasants.
A pleasure to come back to this classic hide.

It was almost six years ago that I found this cache and logged it as it was originally published. I'd struggled with the first waypoint - I knew where it was but had trouble getting it to 'open' - and then struggled with waypoint 2. It took a few attempts, but I eventually got there.
I used to ride a lot in this area when the WaywardWoman's mother lived in Guildford. I would often ride down to meet her there when she was visiting her mother. So the cache, for the effort it took and my rides, stuck in my head. What surprises me is that I haven't come back to claim it before now. I'm sure it had been republished when I found the caches at Prospect Reservoir.
The motivation for finally getting back to this one was Toriaz's desire to earn a souvenir this weekend by finding a multi cache. I suggested this one. We parked nearby and walked down to where I remembered the cache to be, but I didn't spot it. We went further than I thought we needed, and then turned around. I wondered if my memory was shakey, so I suggested we might head back to the second waypoint to check. It was just after we resolved to do this that I spotted where the cache was hidden as we walked back. After out waiting a family walking along (Toriaz played Pokemon so we didn't look too weird) we did the caching duties required.
The cache is in good condition, even after all these years. I can't speak for the waypoints, naturally, but I suspect all will be well with them too for other finders. Thanks Morley for resurrecting this one

Bikerbuddy suggested this cache as our main target for the day. I never did the original cache, but he had, and thought he could remember where the final location was.
The hardest part really was finding somewhere to park. I know if you do all the waypoints correctly, you have plenty of parking available. But we drove to near the end & after a few drives back & forth, finally found some parking near the start of the bike track.
We walked down a fair way, eventually bikerbuddy said he thought we'd gone to far. We turned back, thinking we could always go back to WP2 & get the actual coordinates. But we didn't need to, he spotted the hide on our way back.
This one got us a fair few days of forgotten cache love, as we were the first to sign the log since Web Guy back in November.
Thanks for resurrecting an old cache Morley, it's good to have some of our history preserved.

Strike three at WP2 for us. Argggh! Came armed with a good hint from Calypso62 but ... nothing. We had come with so much confidence and left muttering about pheasant pluckers, their spoonerised names and their mates. Nice walk out here -again - anyway. Cheers... Gaztek
Thought we might start the year off with a bang here but, despite a nudge from the CO, DNF yet! Hot walk from our Prospect Reservoir parking place. Really gave this the once over for about an hour. Shortly before we left we had a different thought which yielded no success but we will pursue this with more diligence on our next visit. And there will be a next visit! Cheers... Gaztek
Had a nice Boxing Day walk around Prospect Reservoir. First time here and it was virtually muggle free. We made our way up to WP1 careful not to turn our heads toward the security car as it cruised by. He never troubled us. What a view from up here! We didn't find what we thought we were looking for at first. But it led logs told us to look a little farther and work harder. That did the trick. We used a natural tool which we left near the hide for the next seeker. It did take quite a bit of work to dislodge this interesting 'container'. Drove as close as we could to WP2 which still left a bit of a walk. We looked everywhere - well everywhere except where the next coordinates were - and found nothing. Will ponder a bit and return before long. Cheers... Gaztek
Had a quick wander up to WP! but was feeling very guilty as I've been told off by security for going up there before (no entry for cars apparently also applies to people). So I had a very quick look around but no luck today.
We actually scored the FTF on the original way back in 2005. This was a classic cache when it came out, I still remember trying a night time assault on the original and evading the security on site, but on that night, we never got up the hill before we pulled the pin and left. We came back in the daytime for an easy find.
Today, I scoured the dark recesses of my memory as to where the final was, a quick walk and I soon spotted what I was looking for. Glad to see a classic lives again.

I dropped my son and a friend at W&W and was free to do some caching in and around Prospect Reservoir.
Made a start on this one but ran out of time to complete. As Arnie would say...'I'll be back!'

Well it's a pretty miserable day today - so obviously I just went for a park & grab...
Well, yes I did, but I also did a long multi that required a number of kilometres walking. Silly me.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Well it was a grey threatening sky, but no rain, so arrived at the first waypoint.
A quick find (as I'd been here before but even with the waypoint in hand missed the info required). A later PAF clarified my feeble mindedness.
Today, got the info I needed, and the next waypoint is... aah.
Sky looking more threatening so I grabbed an umbrella and headed on foot to waypoint two. No sign of security - I suspect the weather, and lack of people at the reservoir helped.
Started the search at waypoint 2 and went around and around and around... And around. Even had one person going past while I was there.
I had a few thoughts as to what I was looking for here, but 30 minutes later I still had nothing. And it's starting to sprinkle.
Thought about a PAF, but decided to check a few more spots and suddenly made the find - one of the hide types for which I had been looking.
Grabbed the GZ info (yes a few numbers are hard to read) and started back, and shortly after the heavens opened. Well, at least I got the search in while it was dry.
So, do I go for the final? Silly question. More walking required in the rain, though it was mercifully light but with a strong wind playing havoc with my umbrella.
The coordinates I read were obviously correct as I found the cache immediately. Quickly sorted out what I needed to do and had CIH!
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Despite the weather felt Pleasantly Flocked with the find today Mate... er CO. Thanks to The OOMPAS for the original and Morley196 for keeping it alive.
Has to have a favourite.
What a pity the original was archived.

I finally found myself in the area early enough to have a go at this one. Even then i took so long that i got to work after with only minutes to spare!
At wp1 searched, then PAFed and TAFed. It wasn't until I realized that wp1 and the published coordinates were not the same that i found it in an obvious place.
Wp2 on the other hand was just as hard. Another PAF and TAF, with one just offering the final coordinates, but i persisted and found the little sucker. Two of the numbers were difficult to read, so I was lucky to have the coordinates given.
A last final walk to find a well constructed cache.
Thanks for reviving this classic cache.

1/10/15. 12:48 PM. Cache #3067. Streak day #466.
1st of 3 this afternoon - Prospect, Eastern Creek & Blacktown.
Having never found the original, I had to make my way through all of the waypoints. I parked at the recommended parking, then made my way uphill to the lookout. I tried a few things but caved in and phoned a friend, only to learn that I should have continued looking in the same sorts of areas that I'd been trying a few metres south.
Then a look at WP2. Woah! I'm not walking that far in this heat! The drive around to WP2 took long anyway, as it was far from direct. I still had a 400m walk then anyway. Got to WP2 and had a short search, but no idea. I couldn't spend too long here as there was a security car parked about 100m away. Luckily my earlier PAF had helped me out for this one too, so I headed off to the final.
This final step also involved a bit of a walk in the heat, but I was glad that the area was so quiet and peaceful. Once at GZ, I soon investigated a curious item, which involved a bit of tricky manipulation to get the cache in hand! So clever. I happily signed and put it all back, then headed around to "May the race be with you". TFTC.

this is just a short disable to adjust WP1 as it is not performing how it should, if you have already got the coords for WP1 then please continue - should be up and running this afternoon - sorry for the inconvenience
Came back to Prospect Reservoir to nab the remaining caches there.
Unfortunately, I fell at the first hurdle of the multi, but all the rest were found relatively easily - between dodging security.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Parked The Hademobile nearby and walked to the first waypoint.
Suggests a particular type of hide, but could only check one of them - the others nearby resitig my attempts at examination.
A few other options were also explored, but nothing else was spotted.
Note from a previous log that this waypoint may be problematical in the way I encountered. Will keep an eye on this one.

Note from a previous log that this waypoint may be problematical in the way I encountered. Will keep an eye on this one.
A lunch time walk to an old favourite that I found over five years and almost three hundred multis ago!?!
But it still a great cache!
Thanks for reviving it.

Made the trek to a familiar location as being the last finder some 2years back to the previous hide finding a spot to park nearby.
A warm mourning and to see the item still in place, I recall undergoing major maintenance here with the machine oil and rust converter products and spending over an hour scrubbing with a brush as well.
Felt gutted when it was archived, but am so relieved to see its return.
The effort the oompas's placed on the item holding the container is amazing as with WP2.
I do recall WP1 being stubborn though as I had to use a natural tool to assist me.
Thanks Morley on releasing an old favourite of mine and fav it deserves.

08/10/2006 almost 9 years ago I found this great multi....
It is magic to see its return, I checked with my son who is now 22 yrs old and he still remembers finding GZ and how impressed we were with it construction .....
Looking forward to dropping back to GZ
Thanks for bring back this piece of caching history.

i looked at putting a cache up at this lookout but when i saw the workers about being able to walk up there they told me it was never going to be open to public
i know it's a great lookout thats y i looked there first before my daughter put some caches in the area.
i used to go up there as a child and loved it.
