We had worked out the numbers for this multi long ago but with the weather not playing nicely plus we were in a hire car we decided to leave it for another day. Today we were still in a small 2WD but with the sun shining it was a pleasant walk to GZ. Really not expecting to find the cache after reading the previous DNF we thought it was still worth a try anyway. We looked at GZ firstly, noting the mud on what was the cache host so we knew there had obviously been flooding here. We extended our search looking for the container maybe stuck somewhere after floating away but we had no luck. This is a definite case of MIA.
Searched everywhere but was unable to come up with the goods today.
The area did appear to have been affected by last years floods and with no finds since then I did wonder if the cache may have floated away. Then again, maybe I just didn’t see it.

Always on a multi mission! My lunch wouldn’t fit in that container!. All info collected and computed followed by a wander to GZ. Now it’s off to Shep where #1 daughter has moved. TFTC and the info.
Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there. This had to be postponed a few times due to Covid.
Although Tag along and I have been to this area many times. - We lived nearby when we were newly married. This was a new experience however, as I am a geocacher now.
Stopped here checked our numbers and signed in as 3Bs, Team 3B6 or used name stamps. The sun shone us all day despite the weather prediction of rain and cold..
Thanks for the fun docNwitchy
THE LATE TO THE WANGARATTA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen.
Booking transferred to February 22. covid
Booking transferred to May 2022. Yah - made it albeit a tad late.
DAY 5: The Fab Four of Bushfire, Blackadders, brisal5 and 6himemoa2 set off for a days of Geocaching adventures. Today we spent the morning clearing a few more around Benalla, then called in at Glenrowan before spending the afternoon targeting the Randolph the Rats caches [^] Bushfire and 6hinemoa2 had done them so acted as chauffeur and laughing at us every time we ran into trouble doing a pub crawl and then attending church for penance. You would have thought that a whole afternoon would suffice but we barely scratched the surface on this series. Here is what we managed in a whole day until dusk!
This were pleasant spots to visit for a cache. Luckily we had a 4WD so were able to make our way in all the way to the cache and in fact the day we were here it was suitable for a careful 2 WD drive. The cache surprisingly took a little longer to find but Blackadders found it whilst we all searched the other end.
***Thanks docNwitchjy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Day 5 of our trip to Victoria targeting around the Glenrowan and up to Beechworth areas with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2.
Our targets were once again, a few of the Randolph the Rat series where Bushfire and 6hinemoa2 were entertained by our antics searching for these elusive hides, and a number of others whilst nearby.
Rather than duplicating dialogue, much more detail is included in the logs of Brisal5.
All finds were visited and stamped by both the Adder and the Starfish. This is how we play.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Thank you for the cache docNwitchjy, found 7/05/2022, 10:31:36 AM

In the Wangaratta area for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
I am running late with my logs after finding so many in five full on caching days.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.

Heading away for a few days around Warrnambool. It was some lovely cooler weather, so decided to meander along some of the back roads and we found some great hides and types along the way.
We stopped off here, grabbed all the info that was needed to come up with some likely co-ords. We made our way into GZ where we found the likely hide. Obviously people had been out cutting fire wood, so were releaved to make a quick find of a containere which had recently been replaced.
Thanks docNwitchjy for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Took a while to find the replacement cache. There is definitely nothing left of the original cache.
e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Found as I made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Wangaratta with Freddo.
We meandered our way across northern Victoria, camping along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks. We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other caches opportunistically as we were passing.
We collected the required information then continued along the 4WD track to GZ where the cache was soon found.
Thanks docNwitchjy for the cache.

TFTC. Five teams gathered at a property in Caniambo prior to the Wangaratta Mega , Liz and Bruce, Wollaston, SeasonedBird , Muff1 and ourselves. We started with a flexible program caching pour way to Benalla via the Silo Art Trail. A good fun day finding caches that had precisely beaten us and a few that we had not previously attempted.
We had previously-up tried for this one sometime ago but managed to muck up the spelling at one of the waypoints. Today with a larger cre we found the error to the actual GZ. I had thoroughly searche this GZ last time in spite of incorrect co-ords. After a thorough search and discussion and a PAF we replaced the missing container.

There is a group of intrepid cachers waiting out the days until we can go to Wangaratta. Thanks to a dear friend they have family land here and we were all able to camp up and go caching together. The group consisted of Wollaston, Seasoned Bird, Liz&Bruce, Hans&Linda and ourselves.
It was great to use geocaching to show us around and area we have not been to before.

Found after a search in very long grass that was covering the Toyota Land Cruiser windscreen @ 8:53am .
It started to rain so was prepared to give up but there it was should have got it 10 minutes before.
Beautiful memorial for the lost diggers of Goonalbie. Fav point as a Thank you.
Log signed and cache returned to its hide

I lovely little multi where you can learn and pay respect to those who have earned it. Thanks for bringing me to this place that I have never been before.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

TeamOZCAT left Albury Wodonga Thursday to cache Bendigo district, and some on route. The Smiley series was one, as well as some Adventure Lab and others. We thank all CO's for placing and maintaining their respective caches, and if there were issues, we would have messaged CO with details. Wonderful Multi.
After a bit of confusion regarding waypoints we eventually worked out the final destination and after a lengthy search in long grass we found our prize. A great multi in a location I'd never been to before. With Ben. TFTC
Found 1/8/20 @4:00pm
I have been working on completing a new challenge that calls for finding a non-traditional cache on all 365 days of a calandar year. 1st of August was just one of many bullet holes I need to plug and this multi cache was the nearest unfound to my place.
What a joy to discover over a year of unloved on it too which helps me with another challenge I am working on.
A great little memorial cache and beaut place for the final hide that deserves a lot more visitors.
Lest We Forget.
TFTC docNwitchjy.
The cache container has copped a soaking since its last visitor. I tipped out the water and dried what I could but the old log couldn't be more waterlogged although the newer replacement log I signed was found clean and dry in its individual baggie.
A little more maintenance might be in order.

A nice sunny morning in Beechworth so we headed off to Shepparton for some caching.
Been ages since BettyBoo3747 and I have been here.
Not quite so sunny out West, but some nice caches all the same.
A nice little church, it seems to have been turned into a house.
Walked up and down the empty road reading the plaques and collecting our information.
A nice little avenue of honour.
A good sized cache at GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

#3104 Finally grabbed this cache today that has sat on our map for some time! A nice late afternoon stroll around downtown Goomalibee diligently collecting the clues for the final. It would be easy to confuse plaques at one of the waypoints given their close proximity, however the coords are accurate enough to ensure you get the correct answers for the final. A quick search at gz and the cache was uncovered. TFTC docNwitchy, a very enjoyable multi.
Found in the dark.
Enjoyed this multi.
Great when clues can be collected and GZ close by and in a nice environment.
Didn't take too long to find.

My maths was not good today I think the second line calculations were out. I will return
After a fantastic weekend at the Mt Buller event then a detour to Yarrawonga I am caching around the Benalla Violet Town area and visited the district of Goomalibee. Never been here before but was very impressed with the way the early pioneers of the district are remembered. I loved the way this has been used to obtain the coordinates and once that was done I thoroughly enjoyed the stroll to GZ A favourite point for this experience TFTC docN witchy
On our way back from Shepparton today we decided to have another go at this cache. We had previously solved the puzzle but had decided to come back for the final change spot another day. Realised today that we had misplace our initial puzzle workings out and so started from scratch. We quickly worked the required co ordinates out and headed to the final cache spot. Here we found ourselves searching for a while! So many possible spots it could be! Just as we were about to call it a day one of us spotted the cache and quickly had it in hand and log signed ! TFTC
What a fantastic afternoon of caching was had today!
Cybergran V and I set out late morning to try and find a cache that I had been keeping an eye on for a few days.
We found it and even managed FTF then we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the Winton Wetlands [^]
All up I managed 8 fun finds today and my first FTF since I moved to Victoria
Sometimes it really isn't about the quantity but the quality of the area and the company [^]
I do like multis and ones based upon the people who gave their all to keep us free are amongst my favourites! [^]
We gathered the numbers and then made our way to GZ.
Cybergran V waited in Harry as I found the cache but she finally got out... wondering why I was taking so long[?]
I'd seen the cache easily but retrieval proved to be a different story
The floods had filled the Sistema with water and it weighed a ton! Not quite but it sure didn't move easily!
Took me a while but I drained the cache, wiped out all of the slime, replaced the damaged swaps and (going from memory now) I think I put a new temporary log book into a new plastic bag in the cache. I left the old wet log book in there in a separate plastic bag.
Still, this is too good a multi to leave it to wrack and ruin!

Nice multi cache sharing the local history. GPS was a little jumpy at one stage and had me on the road between two possible answers. Went with my gut feeling and the resulting co ordinates put me right on the money. Signed the log and on to the next.
Thanks for the challenge and the cache.

A simple multi and a pleasant stroll soon had us at gz for this cache. Geoturtle37 kept a hold on the dogs and let me retrieve the cache in case of snakes. She is generous like that. Job done with no sign of wriggly sticks we were soon on our way gain. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
A nice easy multicache. Drove right to the spot. Grass not as tall as expected. TFTC

Goomalibee, what a fascinating locality; yet another place we would not have visited were it not for geocaching. GZ was something else - our geo-vehicle was well below the level of the wild oats. It took a while to locate the loot - perhaps we were a bit wary of what could be lurking in the shadows. Should have trusted the co-ords which were spot on.
Our thanks to docNwitchjy for bringing us here.

Went for a drive down near a town I have heard of before but never went near. Was exciting finally going near it. I took the necklace in trade for a horse. overall a great Cache.
What a lovely little Multi. It showcased this cute little town and its men who fought for our freedom. A little confusing at first, we nearly made a mistake at the third point but corrected it before we went on. The coordinates were spot on and we were able to drive right to the spot and follow the elephant footprints into the neck high wild oats.

Suffering cache withdrawal symptoms after 13 days without a find. Time to get out and enjoy the countryside once more. Quite a few new ones published in our local area, so off we went to Goomalibee first. Worked through all the waypoints easily and soon found ourselves at GZ. Found a path through the long grass to the decent sized cache container. SL at 10.15am Took: GC and PT Left: WW1 hard hat and Lake Eildon TB #3045 TFTC docNwitchjy - a compact little multi highlighting the pioneers.
Well got this one today with a little help. I tried yesterday after Bettyboo had been and I read her log when got home. As I had loaded it into the GPS before going I had the wrong number on the description. I enjoyed the time out there wandering all over the place and rechecking the waypoints. I changed one number which was right to a wrong one as the GPS took me to another item next door. I changed the number that had changed with the updated page and went out again today. I had to PAF as the wrong number I changed threw me out a bit... Quickly had the cache in hand. Enjoyed the time out in the bush listening to the birds and enjoying the sun. Swapped PTs, Signed log and headed for Benalla for another couple for the day... TFTC
# 9559. *FTF* at 11.30am. A beautiful Spring day to travel the countryside again trying to get smilies for at least two multi-caches so that I can complete a Challenge. Hoping to gather up a few traditionals along the way.
Although this was the second cache I tried today things went a little pear-shaped here. What a gorgeous old building right here at the start of the multi. I presume it was the old church and is possibly a private house these days. This is a delightful area to have a multi - I had driven past all the trees and not noticed the plaques underneath. Hopped out of the car and gathered the required information and off to GZ I went (except it wasn't GZ). There was a glitch on the cache page. I ended up wet to the knees after wandering through a very unikely area, falling in a hole to the knees and being screeched at by the cockatoos. I felt it was NOT the correct area. It did look like someone else had left tracks through here already though. Gave up and retreated back to the chariot. Got a message to the CO and discovered I needed to change a number because of a typo on the page.
Back to the general area I went and it was equally daunting as the grass was almost chest high and still very wet. I held my breath and honed in on GZ and was pleased to discover its hiding place fairly quickly. I left a shoe TB and one of my new Vogue #1 pathtags here, packed it up and got the hell out of the long grass. I remained soaked until I got home in mid-afternoon.
An enjoyable multi and a very nice area to highlight.
Thanks docNwitchjy
