On my way to cousins, property near Braidwood for a couple of nights with plans to check out the surrounding national parks. Early start decided to go up via Elliot and join onto the Snowy Mts Hwy and up through Cooma. Ended up staying the first night at Cascades campground along the Tuross River as it was such a magic spot. Stopped in Cooma for a while to complete a few caches. This was a great little walk along the Cooma Creek with a lot of interesting history to read about. TFTC!
Having had no luck accessing the Mt Tantangara area (see log here... https://coord.info/GCAVXEE), I headed back to Cooma and had a few enjoyable hours of geocaching there.I've driven through Cooma heaps of times, but usually only stopped for the loo on the way to the snow. It was nice to have time to explore today.I had a lovely time climbing all around these rocks and reading the information signs. Thanks for the cache, tarbear! Cache was in good condition and the contents were dry
Interestingly I have a cache going by the exact same name!A Whole New World clearly has a lot of meaning! In fact, let me list all of them that I can think of:A Whole New World - Signature song from Disney's 1992 animated feature film Aladdin.A Whole New World - The fifth studio album released by British-Australian singer-songwriter Peter Andre, in collaboration with his then wife Katie PriceA Whole New World: A Twisted Tale - Young Adult novel by Liz BraswellA Whole New World - The first stage of Zero Legends in the mobile game The Battle CatsA Whole New World - GCA7G5H (which may or may not have something to do with the previous entry)And finally:A Whole New World - GC63C5F - This cache!Ok maybe in the grand scheme of things it doesnt have THAT many meanings (also indicated by the fact that it does not have a disambiguation page named after it on Wikipedia).Like it doesnt come close to *C. elegans* which most commonly refers to the model roundworm *Caenorhabditis elegans.* However, it also can refer to a large array of other species. 1819 to be precise! Yes I counted that. For reference, the length of that disambiguation page is 144034, absolutely dwarfing second place four times over (which, in case you were interested, is *St. Mary's Church*, followed by *Hoseynabad*, *Aliabad* and *Hold on*). Diving into the collection of Wikipedia, youd be surprised how big some disambiguation pages are on stuff youve never heard of!Anyways, the cache? Isnt that what Im supposed to be writing about? Oh yeah. Quick and easy findSturdy containerDry logbookGreat spot!Signed and returnedThanks for the cache tarbear22!
A fun day caching with the dream team. This cache was a straightforward find at GZ.Thanks, tarbear22!
The team headed south by car for a few target caches as the weather was too lousy for a long hike and/or mountain cycle.A beautiful short hike up, up, up on all the beautiful granite rocks to the lookout and beyond. The rocks were a little slippery as it was sprinkling but we took extra care to stay upright all the way to GZ. Exhilarating! Quick find and return to it's tree hide. TFTC tarbear22.
A rather wet period here in Cooma, but we managed to venture out from camp in light drizzle this arvo. as w needed to visit an AdLab stage, not to mention investigate two nearby Traditionals and an Earth Cache. Interesting little walk/scramble to this one, but a well concealed, dry hide was found as described with accurate co-ordinates. TFTC tarbear22. Certainly had the place to ourselves today !
While staying in Cooma, and doing some geocaching, we came to experience the nearby earthcache. We continued up the hill to find this one. Once at GZ it was a quick find before facing the return journey. On our way up, we noticed some wasps nesting under one of the rocks, but they didn't seem interested in us, so we didn't think much about them. Coming down was a different matter. With our dog on his lead, he started to dance around and run down the hill. Then I was inundated with the nasty little beasts. I don't know how many times Pilot was stung, but they got me twice. Crickey they hurt! We let Pilot have a swim at the bottom before returning to our caravan and taking antihistamines. Just part of the geocaching adventures. Thanks tarbear22.
We definitely misjudged the terrain and ended up scrambling a bit in our flip flops. Not sure how the journey down will go.... tftc
I'm not sure about the T rating on this cache I sure made it harder than it should have been by taking the wrong goat track along the creek and then once on the right track losing it... I tried to freestyle but ended up in some very steep section where I saw the platform that I should have been heading for... back on track with some rock scrambling the way was marked with a few arrows before they just disappeared so it was back to freestyling. at GZ the 3rd place I looked had the cache..fav point for location.. I enjoyed my journey to GZ
Nice hike up to this one with another stint of rock climbing. TBS took a different route, but we arrived at GZ at the same time. We hunted around, TBS heading off in the opposite direction.
I located the cache and we then heard the geokid, that had waited further down calling out.
I signed the log for both of us.
We got back to the car, drove off...
Then my director advised that we actually needed to grab an Adventure Lab answer..
Thanks buddy boy, back up we go..haha

Find # 11747
Found with sharkiefan.
We headed from Jindabyne up to Cooma and back for the days caching.
Omg what a lookout to get too. Great little view down the area. Took a bit to scramble over the rocks but worth it.
If not for the cache I'd have turned around at the earthcache and missed this gem.

Arrived to Canberra and off to the mountains, stopped here for lunch and the kids enjoyed the nearby playground. While waiting I couldn’t resist looking up a cache and this one was perfect tftc
When my way uphill okay. Now I’ll try to make it down to the car in a direct route.
**This Cache:**
Almost skipped the cache, but we were so close at the Rock Boltings that we couldn't resist!
Took the walking trail on the way to the cache, and went a more direct route towards the houses on our way back to the car which worked well.
The cache was quickly located on arrival, well done to the previous finders for replacing the camouflage so well, appreciate people who take care of others hides!

**Day 1:**
The first day of a 3 day weekend travelling from Canberra - Bega Valley Shire to attempt the "VB" cache series & many other fantastic hides!
Myself and sebass19 left Canberra bright and early, and made our way leisurely down to the coast! Lots of great caches both on the way & at the destination before we called it a night to prepare for the big day of VB caches to come!

Great walk and a little more challenging to find this one. But weren’t leaving until we did!

A drive from Bega to Jindabyne today. Lots of country roads with great views and nice little towns. Also a cracker of a day with sun and blue skies.

We had to head down to Cooma to organise some things, so, once that was done, we grabbed some lunch, and then went looking for some of Cooma's more interesting caches - after all, one of my fav things about geocaching is finding things that I would never otherwise encounter.
This was the third cache of the day, and we climbed up from Boulder Bolts, enjoying the outlook on the way up - it would be interesting to see the creek in full flow.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache tarbear22, and bringing us to this interesting spot.

Took my time and made my way up. After finding the cache, I took some photos from the viewing platform, the continued exploring further up the hill. Found an amazing stone wall. Would love to know the history behind its construction. There is at least one similar one near the Kambah Pool in Canberra.
Descended via a different route and made a 3km round trip of it.

Found on 14/3 on our way south to a family event at the Nyerimalang open air opera. What a great event it was.
Found with nissan 65 on a few day away caching. Decided on Tumut and Cooma before heading home to the Shoalhaven. Thanku for the cache.
We had a problem with our car, so we had to wait a couple of minutes and we could make a short walk through Cooma.
This was an easy find, what a nice view!

My second of a 9 day caching road-trip holiday. After turning early last night, I woke up unfortunately very early this morning. Far colder than I was expecting when I started my morning caching before breakfast.
Today I headed West through Kosciuszko NP, A fun drive but with fewer caches than yesterday.
Thanks for the caches.

I made my way up the interesting track to find this cache at the top. The walk wasn't too strenuous and I loved reading about all the indigenous use of the plants. Cache found in good condition. TFTC !
