Out for a drive to Yass today with Joolay, Kittykatch and isopeda. Cache replaced and photo sent to CO. Tftc
Today barb2e Kittykatch Joolay and I came past here to have a look at the earth cache. We replaced the cache and got rid of the old evidence.
This area would be even nicer if it wasn't about to rain and in warmer weather.
The scenery was lovely though.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there team.wallace,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Found on a caching expedition out to Yass with sebass19: from 9:30am to 7pm, 51 caches! It was a lovely country drive towards the west of Yass. I came to find a cache near these cliffs years ago: it was great to return to such an amazing sight. At GZ it was a very quick find; but unfortunately the logbook is soaked and cannot be written on. I've taken a photo of the logbook and will PM the owner as proof of our find. TFTC team.wallace!
After I checked into the motel time for dinner. I had a rough idea of how many I needed to get the 120, but was not confident and so did a few extra just in case (thankfully I did). Headed to the pub and had dinner and then wandered around some caches in town with a torch and found all except one (D4) - so was happy with that.
Thought there might be a few locals about on this Saturday night but all quiet here. The cache reflected in the head lights so possibly was an easier find than in the day. Log was damp but could still be signed.

Found it. Actually found it months ago by mistake. Had no clue what it was. Made it easy to find.
Gorjuz views. A fav point just for that The views are great and there was only one other car in the area when we got the cache. Log looks a bit full. TFTC.
Found at 11:22 AM GAFF1.
Another great view, but there are so many caches that have just a scrap of paper in them or the log sheet is wet. There is a feeling like the town of Dubbo, where a heap of cachers just abandoned their caches and left them to basically rot - Dubbo had a "keep away" sign for a long time.
Thanks team.wallace

Second day in Yass. A great clear and chilly morning. Early Sunday is always a good time for caching and quick progress was made.

Saw this one before we got out of the geomobile. Replaced the rusted ring with a new one and a cable tie.
Thanks for placing this cache team.wallace . We visited this cache at 3:10 p.m..

A much nicer day after a break in the run of hot days, and much better for caching so we made a trip out to Yass to clear a few around the town and along the highway. Great views from up here, and a quick find. It's a shame to see the wire ringbarking the tree however - perhaps you could snip the wire and provide it a longer length - it's a nice little tree that still looks healthy at the moment. Thanks team.wallace.
Day 2 of our short break collecting caches for the December souvenir. Stopped for a while to admire the views - great place for a cache. Thanks.
We are on our way home from our two day break in beautiful Yass. The monthly souvenirs have certainly got us moving and out caching. Many thanks to the COs for their caches.
Did a half marathon walk on the town tourist drive route - Hattons Corner was a great view. Nice quick find - but the tree is “eating “ this cache or the cache is strangling the tree, not sure which. TFTC 2BluFish
#15055. A big day driving south from Lorne, NSW to Yass. We had hoped to stay in Goulburn but the entire town was booked out, as was much of the surrounding area. A huge horse event and a holy retreat meant no accommodation for miles.
A tiring drive with only 2 finds and 2 DNF's until we reached Yass. After dinner we rushed around in the dark and gathered a few more.
A lovely spot to be in the early evening with the crescent moon and the distant glow of the disappearing sun. Stars and planets were coming out to play. A lovely evening. Rob soon spied the cache and I sat in comfort and added our names to the log.
Thanks team.wallace

Day seven of our quick trip north. BettyBoo3747 and I spent today travelling from Lorne to Yass. Not a lot of caches, just a few on the highway, the a quick half dozen after dinner in Yass.
We couldn't see the rock pools below as it was quite dark by now. But we had no trouble spotting the cache as soon as we got out of the car.
Thanks, Robmc.

It was late in the day by the time I got to this one, but I spotted the cache straight away.
Today I decided to stay away from PTs so I drove out to Yass to see how many smilies I could add to my tally. I had a fabulous day with no DNFs though at times I came close to walking away from the more difficult finds.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us all to find. My name has been added to all the logs, though mostly as SG. TNLN. .

Headed out with DarksideDan for a few caches in Yass on a frosty Saturday morning. 6 hours later we had gorgeous warm weather, 40 caches under our belts and a fabulous lunch at the cafe in town. A great morning out getting some numbers with lots of laughs and a few interesting bird sightings on the way. Unless otherwise stated, caches found quickly and in good order.
Great views from this spot and interesting rock formations across the river too.

Can you say road trip. Today I headed out with AG27 to go on a caching road trip to Yass. Together we collected 40 caches. I took some excellent photos and had a stunning lunch. Thanks heaps for the cache.
On the way to 8000 finds... only about 300 to go!
I went on a recreational caving weekend in Wee Jasper with my bushwalking club this weekend. Only I didn't arrive at the campground untill 11 at night! A very cold weekend, survived mainly by my nice and warm -12 degree sleeping bag, and spending most of the time underground. We didn't exit the last cave exploration until 2pm Sunday, so after we showered and packed up camp I didn't get around go caching until 3pm!
But there have been quite a few new caches published around Yass since I was there last, and a couple of older ones that I DNFed previously, I had a lot to look for before it got too dark and the rain started to fall down.
In the end I managed to find 25 today and reach a total of 7707 finds.
Thanks for all the caches!

*Our last day in Yass, in the good company of Suscoe, we concentrated on finding caches within a 5 km radius of the town. That still set us quite a high target for the day. Just as the rain started, we signed our final log - 44/44 smiley tokens!*
No time for us to hang about today - great views though!
Thanks team.wallace for placing caches, for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern were out and about for our last day of caching in the Yass area.
The day started cool and a little cloudy, but it was fine until the last cache was found and then a thunder storm rolled across from the western hills. Great timing we reckoned.
A really pleasant day of town and nearby caching with a good mixture of hides and fun on the way around the roads.
Thanks to team.wallace for this hide, we sat and had lunch here and could see for miles!!!!!

My gps had me in one direction and dty73 phone had her some distance the other. With D's phone having been playing up a bit with coordinates way off and my gps not updated with the right information it did take a little exploring before we figured this out! A caching trip to Yass with Decrypter and Trodectus. We had a long search here. Our GPSs had us near the sign. Searched that (several times). Checked the empty hole in the nearby post. Checked other holes in other posts. Checked in and under timber barricades. Even checked the bench and tree some distance from GZ. Extended the search further. DNF!
Out with Goldenwattle and Decrypter for a trip to Yass.
We spent a bit of time searching, but all we found were decoys. It was still a bit wet, but not raining like earlier. After a good time we decided to leave this one. We'll have to come back later.

Tftc,
Stayed in the area overnight and did a few caches before leaving. We couldn't do to many, so made our selection based on favorites.
I thought I would grab this after doing one close by. DNF, but after seeing 3 others saying the same, I will post this.
Need to come back and do some more.

Quite a breezy spring day. Not unpleasant, but it blew my hat off occasionally. Today I returned to Yass for unfinished business. I am always surprised by the interesting places Yass has to offer. I found some very cool spots today: Hatton's corner was certainly a highlight with sone monumental geology to see there. Yass's railway history was also a focus today.
Didn't find this one. There were muggles cramping my efforts here. They weren'ty leaving any time soon so I moved on.

It has been a while since Jac and I were out caching this way so when we were at a loose end today, we decided to head out here to grab some caches.
We have found the cache a little further on, so today it was just searching for Hatton. A fairly quick find here today when we split the searching duties.

The coordinates seemed to be out as it was bringing me to the middle of the dead end on the road :/ therefore I literally had an entire circle radius to look through!
I started at one end and slowly sweeped my way across looking in every nook and crannny. Seems like I started at the wrong end but I eventually found it tucked away!
