Sweet-Sour I didn’t find your cache Old Traveston Rd on 13/7/2023, 2:02 pm. Nope, add me to the DNF list.
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasn’t to be. I stepped on a cane toad at GZ but couldn’t find a container.
Thanks Sweet-Sour anyway.

Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
Another nice easy park & grab here.
Nice to get a few easy ones in between those that are NOT so.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We were trying to find our way to "No Access" when this cache appeared along the way. So we stopped and had a look at the obvious spot, but nothing there and just as well as the GPSr said to go another 12 metres and that's where the cache was found in a very nicely tucked away spot [^]

We drove along this road to have a rest from the busy freeway. We found a quiet location off the the road and ate lunch just down the road. Checking the app just before we left I saw two caches. One about 140m behind us and one about 130m in front. We drove in the direction the car was pointing got to within 10 metres from GZ according to me finding device, followed it to GZ and decided it was a job for the more agile The_Evil_Muggle, who needed some exercise anyway, in my opinion, went to where I directed him and had the cache in his hand within seconds.! Well done! Thanks for a great cache.
On our way home from the recent on the Mary picking up caches on the old highway.
Quick find here but the cache was IPS and full of water. The log book bag was also full of water. Have replaces and placed for the next hinder.

After a great weekend event it was time to head back home, I had a plan to grab a couple of caches along the way and I offered the invitation to 4hawkers.
With my little list we set forth, taking the old highway home we came across this one. Cache was full of water and log was very hard to sign but we sort of managed.
With the log signed and cache emptied and replaced it was onto the next on the list. Thank you for placing this one here, this one needs some attention.

Some calasthenics required to remain upright and sign the log. Now just to post the log! TFTC Sweet sour.

Heard something very definitely rustling in the long grass and did not want to go wandering. Thankfully I didn’t need to as it was in the first place I looked ️
Found by Mary and David at 13:10. We could spend a week here just caching. Instead we are travelling south and just finding a few here and there. Our thanks to Sweet-Sour.

We knew the area it was in but almost didn't find it as was well camoflauged but Miss 8 spotted it.
Heading off for a bit of a drive on this unusually rainy Sunday morning. This was our first stop after dropping A at work at Nambour.
After going to the wrong side of the highway first, we backtracked and found where we needed to be. (Note to self: I really need to update my Here Maps app...)
Nice quiet spot, well hidden away from muggle eyes.
No swaps. Left The Equator-bug travel bug (Singapore currency note folded into a crane) that I have hung on to for too long since finding it around Nanango a few months ago. Hopefully, it can catch a ride with a traveller to get closer to Singapore.

We have set up camp for a couple of days at Kanganda, a good location to head along the Amamoor Muster Trail & the south along the Old Bruce Highway. A great contrast in regions from forestry , highways into small towns.
A good variety of locations & caches found.

I drive to and from Bundaberg. A lot. My car GPS has caches on it, so as I drive I can see all the smilies I've previously found - and all those annoying little green boxes. Like this one. Almost right next to the road, and yet I have not had the chance to stop in recent years. Today I am blitzing Gympie to Gunalda, along the highway, to rectify this issue. I tried approaching this from Old'and'New ... but the new highway stopped me a half km short. So I went back onto the current highway, and you can't turn right into GZ. So I kept driving to the next intersection, but you can't turn south here either. Felt like I returned to Gympie before I could turn around. Quick find at GZ though, phew. And as darkness descended, so did the rain - so that'll do me today. Thanks Sweet-Sour, and plenty of other COs for a most entertaining day Gympie to Gunalda.
Thanks for placing this cache, Sweet-Sour. Found in good condition.

We had travelled to Gympie for a drive with a view to grabbing a particular cache which we achieved and thought that we should grab a couple of other caches on our way home.
This was the second cache to come up on the radar. We parked the motor vehicle at an ideal parking spot not very far away from GZ.
After the short stroll to GZ, it was not long before the cache was in hand.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache returned exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

With us being camped at Traveston it was an early start to the Newbies event. Good to meet geocachers from all around and soon we headed out with another couple of teams to find a few caches. Nice one. Thanks to Sweet-Sour for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
### > **BOOYAH FOUND IT!** ###
On this day we found a few caches as part of a group attack. It was the second cache I found/went to for the day whilst we were helping some newbies (who got the FTF draw.) They had some trouble due to the GPS playing games with us. The cache was found not long after phoning the CO for a clue.
I then had the opportunity to return to GZ with a second group. They too had some issues so after they had a little search I gave them a push in the right direction.
Thanks Sweet-Sour for a great day out!

After grabbing the Farm cache we returned to the event. Another quick chat of two, we picked up ZoolandR and Team Benders. All aboard, we headed off to this cache. It was a nice quick find and we all got our names in the log.
This cache was part of today's geoadventure that revolved around the event, the '2016 Cachup for Newbies' - http://coord.info/GC5Y750 which was held up north at Traveston. It was a great little event that got me out to the bush, an area that I love to cache the most.
An awesome day it was, spent with many Geocachers that I have not had the chance to meet until today and also many familiar faces. It was fun swapping stories, sharing knowledge and hunting a few geocaches. The day also included a great mix of D's and T's whilst all being done in great company.
Thanks for the geocache Sweet-Sour.

This geocache as found in conjunction with the nearby event, '2016 Catch up for the Newbies', and what a day it was, multiple unplanned T5s! and numerous caches found in good company of new and old caching friends. Today MinkosDes and I teamed up for a fun day under the sun, doing what we do best, GEOCACHING!
After finding the Depplers Farm cache we returned to the event grounds to pick up ZoolandR and Half of Team Benders ended up jumping in the car as well. With the fantastic four in the car we headed to Old Traveston Rd and worked our way back into town.
THis one was found easily and we met some other caches at GZ

While sitting around at the Cachup for Newbies event I overheard other cachers talking about the location for this one, so I made mental note. That helped a lot when locating this one.

Man, this one tried to hide, trees and cloud and gps signals bouncing all around. Guys on one side of obstacle, girls on the other. Found by simply checking any and all places a cache could hide. Though it apparently gained in height over the course of the day. Fo9und while having fun with kingfisherau.
