It looks like this jetty is going to be closed for some time and may not be reopened at all pending a huge repair bill.
Sorry this cache remains disabled.

We saw this cache has been temporarily disabled, but it was at such a fantastic historical site, we have added a photo to show we were there as a virtual cache.

Yes sadly the One Mile Jetty is closed, we walked the Tramway track in which was nice, we had hoped for brunch at the Cafe but that was closed too. So a long walk of 11k by the time we got back. I am going to treat this as a virtual cache, seeing that access is now denied and log it as a find.
Jetty is still closed making this cache inaccessible. Might need to check cache status.
Found on July 14 and decided to have dinner at Valentina's after the long walk along the jetty. Really like Carnarvon. Great place for a cache. TFTC
Found at 2:14:00 PM. Did the jetty walk very windy and cold on the jetty today.
Thanks Johnson and Johnson.
Thanks Johnson and Johnson.
Found while staying in Carnarvon. This was a long walk and it was blowi g a gale, scared the log would blow away
A late afternoon jetty stroll for us after driving up from Perth. Mr O made the find by bike while the rest of the family caught up on foot. TFTC.
Picked up the cache today in the morning before driving on to geraldton. Enjoyed the walk on the jetty. Tftc
Day 42 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jayco camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Now on our homeward journey via some great caches. In Carnarvon for a day of sightseeing, so let's see what's around.
Another place I'm not sure we would have bothered about if it wasn't for the cache. Really enjoyed our walk all the way out and the fisher people at the end, some with success. Also enjoyed the history of this town and this wharf.
TFTC Johnson and Johnson a fav for the great hide and location

On the way home after our 1/2 lap which took in the Great Central Road, the Red Centre Experience Event at Alice Springs, then North to Katherine and home via Broome and Exmouth.
And now Carnarvon! We really enjoyed our walk as far as we could, and the cache as well!
Thanks for placing it and the opportunity for a walk on this historic landmark. A fave!

Found on our walk to the end of the jetty. Easy one because of the Hint. Thank you!
Day two of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Today we travelled from Geraldton to Carnarvon via Kalbarri and a huge number of major rest stops.
Leaving Geraldton a couple of hours earlier than planned we headed up to try and bowl over a couple of DNFs in the Alexander series we had from our last trip. Cleaned up one of two which we were happy with before heading to north Hampton.
North Hampton had some good caches, all in relatively good simple places to hide with one good camo cache which was simply exceptional.
We ventured further towards port Gregory and marvelled at the pink lake which was simply amazing, Ive seen a few of these pink salt lakes around but nothing compares to port Gregory. Well worth a look.
Leaving port Gregory we meandered towards to tourist Mecca of Kalbarri, picking up caches in simply brilliant locations. Check the photos for more details and views to die for. We also had the rare feat of finding a Liz and Bruce and a Lyn Pat Nathan cache on the same day!
We then realised we were short of time with still 4-5hrs driving to get to carnarvon in time, so we had to skip a few caches and collected caches at road houses, and rest stops with some MTKeus and TEam REd Roo caches along the way before ending up in Carnarvon and collecting the two caches around the one mile jetty, one of which was wanderingaus' very first, a nice little one to add to the list.
Overall a HUGE day of caching in 45degree heat with 25-odd finds, 500 plus kilometres which was huge going. The highlight being we passed the 26th parallel and are officially in the North West.
Tomorow will see us heading to Exmouth via one and many a detour and one and many a cache!
Nearly got blown away at this cache but was a nice quick find using the hint. Don't know how you couldn't miss it. Not sure we wanted to walk further with the dodgy planks!!

We visited the cache on our journey to Exmouth. It took us a little bit longer search, however we found it. We enjoyed the beautiful outlook at the jetty. TFTC
Today we were travelling from Monkey Mia to Coral Bay. On the way we took some stops for several Geocaches.
As we saw this cahce on the map we agreed that we would have to visit this cache.
After a long walk we arrived at the coordinates. It took some time to find the cache but we made it.
Unfortunately i could not get the logbook out ot the container so i was not able to sign it. I took some pictures to proof my find but i can not post those to avoid spoilers. I can send them to the owner if required.
Thank you for showing us this nice location.

We forgot the GPS on our first walk up the jetty so returned later in the day. It took a bit of poking about before we found it. Very windy but interesting walk - hope it gets repaired. TFTC
Found it After searching. Unfortunately no pen. Therefore i Post the bug . Really nice Spot. Thanks
My first cache at all. Good first one, hopefully a lot more will follow. Pretty windy though, but no muggles.
TFTC.
TFTC.
Before we go to our Campground in Carnavon, we visit the 1 Mile Jetty and go up to the end of it. On our way we found the litte cache on the side of it. After that we see the sun goes down.
This is find 5 from a total of 15 finds today.
This cache is also my Find 3200.
Thanks Johnson and Johnson for the cache.

I had a little trouble finding this one on the outward leg, but tried again on our return from the jetty end and the cache was quickly in hand. Signed the log, and returned the cache.
Another smiley added here today on our way towards home from a 5 week Kimberley and Pilbara break TFTC
Wow this was an exciting one. We went all the way until the and and looked for the cache in the way back. Fortunately we were alone in the Jetty so we searched without muggles. The wind was there but not so strong so we were able to log this one without the danger of got blown away. Tftc.
Found this one after a little search. Walked back down to it after catching the little train out to the end before getting a ride back again. Great piece of history. Kids loved it.
Great cache - too windy to take the log out to sign but we loved the little lady bird. TFTC
We enjoyed and evening stroll along the Jetty to make the find, thanks for a good hint as the wind was blowing and we were quite cold.
TFTC...we are glad that we found that one without getting blowed in the sea. The 1 mile jetty is a pretty adventureous walk.
Out and about exploring Carnarvon with CAD ... Enjoyed the walk along the jetty after lunch at the cafe... Soon had cache in hand, log signed and replaced ... Thanks Johnson and Johnson for bringing us here
Found it! Added two more paper strips wrapped around original one. Good to go for a few more years. TFTC.
A nice walk along the jetty, we had to resort to the hint to locate the cache. The log book is full but we didn't have a replacement.

Found after reading hint. Didn't remove log as we didn't have a pen anyway.
Thanks
Thanks
Nice walk along the jetty and a great place for a cache. With Monks 55. Log is now full. TFTC
(4726) Today we explored Shark Bay and than moved to the north. Nice wall, but horribly windy today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
tftc,
Today is day 45 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables as we now head south towards Perth. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C1. The purpose of this note is to visit the trackables travelling with us so that the owners get to learn about this site.
We camped overnight at Quobba Stn. This morning our goal was to get to Steep Point but changed our plans and made for Monkey Mia after spending to much time at One Mile Jetty Carnarvon. We looked everywhere and when checking every keyhole a second or third time Nana nel saw it. What a great location with a museum and added history about the sinking of the Sydney. Enjoyed the scones and coffee at the cafe. Added a favorite.
As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".
Happy caching

Well this one had us baffled for quite a while, we looked high and low, Wazza9 reread the description and it was not long before I spotted it. While we were having coffee, we checked the photos I had taken of Wazza9 searching and we had a photo showing the hiding spot, it will not appear on this site. signed the log and replaced. Thanks to johnson and johnson.
Loved this one. A gorgeous walk and the shop does a nice cuppa! (Yes they take plastic).
Didn't take tweezers but they might have been useful if we were not so lucky.
TFTC!

Quick find. Couldn't sign log as we forgot to bring a pen, but we took photos for proof if required. Found with BlueFiasco. Thanks!
A quick find by TWO today as we walked out along the jetty. While it's still cold in Perth it was a pleasant day with light Zephyrs to keep the temperature down just a little, We walked to the end (where the barrier is) before returning and having lunch at the 'restaurant', finding the cache being the highlight for the day. SL. Thanks to Johnson and Johnson for the cache.
Quick find while no-0ne was around. then walked to the end of the jetty. Very interesting. TFTC
Wandered out but was too late to watch the brilliant sunset, spied the cache on the safe side of the rails. Bit dodgy looking as a muggle had parked right underneath the point, but weren't anywhere to be seen. TFTC, a favourite
I headed out to the 'historical precinct' this morning
A sultry day !!
Rain was already spitting down
But it was so warm that a sprinkle of rain would be welcomed
I put me donation in the box and strolled the planks
A long stroll
A very long stroll
The horizon was not clearly discernible today in the overcast conditions
Combined with the dead calm conditions,
it made for a surreal experience out here [^]
And at the half way point to the end ...
... I arrived at GZ
Hey !! I could have driven the geomobile to GZ [:o]
Others had and were tossing a line into the waters off the sandbank nearby.
So with the clue to paw,
I searched for the cache.
But where was the bugger ?? [:o]
The cache notes stopped me from heading down the nearby, rickety staircase to look below [^]
And after leaning further and further out over the side,
a cache was spied
Gotcha !!
I signed the logbook while being careful not to drop anything over the side.
At least it is possible to retrieve fallen bits,
but that would raise the terrain rating to about three stars
With cache found,
I headed off to the end of the jetty
Talk about "Dead Calm" !! [:o]
The horizon had disappeared, and it was wonderfully disorientating out here
The silence deafening
And the schools of fish swimming below mesmerising
TFTC [^]

In Carnarvon on business and made an early morning attempt in lieu of the morning walk. Well same thing really.
Nice easy find. The challenge was not to drop anything. TFTC

That is nice, TFTC! Today we are spending the day around Carnarvon then heading to Exmouth. 1st cache today, beautiful scenery.
Found it after a long drive to Carnarvon.
It was good to stretch the legs a bit.

West Australia 2016 trip. Day 17. Having spent four wonderful days diving, it is time to start moving again. Today was Exmouth to just north of the Denham Road via Carnarvon. There were people walking all over the place, a very popular pace to visit on a Sunday afternoon. I waited for a gap in the traffic and soon found the cache. Time to get out of the sun.
Thanks.

Awesome cache. I found this late at night. Not recommended to walk the jetty at night as you can easily lose your footing
Got distracted by the view and the beautiful walk and had to double back to find this one. Lovely spot- wouldn't have come here otherwise....
Found it on our second attempt. Last night after watching sunset we couldn't find it even with the torch. Beautiful place to enjoy a walk and try your luck for fishing! TFTC
Found on an evening in Canarvon on a break from helping the fire fighters! TFTC
Well one of the worst Jetty's we have ever walked - certainly in need of major works.
A nice walk out anyway to find your cache so thankyou.

Found on a morning stroll, thx to the hint. Only when you walk the jetty you realise how long it is! Tftc!
