Spending a couple of days in Alexandra to do some non caching reconnaissance. That doesn’t mean caching was completely off the list! Managed to grab a few caches in the first half of the day before exploring the area further.

As we neared the completion of the loop trail, various track and animal trails led us to the cache. It didn’t take long to spot the likely GZ and to coax the cache out of its hide. Time to head back to the car for some refreshments!

Again I find myself re visiting caches that I logged under a team profile. But who is complaining. I am here on an awesome trip to the Cathedral Mountains with my beau dalerious. We enjoyed the walk undertaking all the caches in this reserve; all but one were re visits. Thank you for continuing to maintain these caches.

Travelled up to Alexandra for the day to host an "Events in Victoria are back" event, grabbed a few more caches afterward and finished off with a late lunch in the Corner Hotel
Another quick find on the return trip from a local multi.
Cache container has a few breaks and needs to be replaced, shouldn't have a problem with water where it is though.
We had a visitor whilst we were signing the log, a very friendly little chat, acting like he owns the place

Even in the most miserable weather, a day out caching is better than sitting home staring out the window.
This was a newly discovered park for both our teams and we look forward to coming back to explore more when it's not quite so soggy underfoot.
With signing duties performed under an umbrella, the cache was returned as found being clean, dry and in good condition.

Finally got to have a couple of days off so I headed up to Moleswoth for a few days of R&R and caching of course.
Last day before heading home so after beating the morning rain it was off to find a few caches around Yea and Alexandra.
Spending the afternoon around Alexandra chasing caches that I didn’t have time for during the Mega.
Time for a walk around McKenzies Nature Reserve.
Found somewhere to park and got what was required for the multi and then headed off to find this one.
An enjoyable place to stroll around on the nice easy tracks.

In the way from local tip (everyone is a winner at the tip) we stopped by and went for a short walk. It was an easy and very much appreciated find for young Matthew. TFTC

Staying at Alexandra after the event, today we tackled a few caches within the area and this was one of them.

Cache and contents were in excellent condition. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find..

After competing in the Show and Shine for the Mega and having some lunch, MazzyMay and I headed off for a more laid back afternoon and found a few caches around this quite little town. TFTC

While at the Mega event with my friends the Bunadoorians (Belinda and Don), this was one of the caches we found. tftc.

Found this nicely hidden cache on the way out from Bucephalus. As we arrived the cache was being still processed by another group of cachers.

A MEGA was being held this year in Alexandra, and what a fantastic event it proved to be. Fantastic location, great activities and some amazing caches all lead to an awesome weekend. This was one of the caches I found during my travels of the area over the weekend.

Before attacking all the night caches in town we walked through McKenzie Nature Reserve in the company of our great mates Quasar3671, McLookers and ThePacman picking up 2 trads , as we waited for the sun to set and the darkness to take over.

Found during the Alexandra Mega 2017, which was a weekend with many cache types, pathtags, trackables, lab caches, gadget caches, much chatting, 4WDing, hiking, tree climbing, and bush walking at 4am!

In the early evening we headed out to the McKenzie Nature Reserve with The Tritonz, McLookers and Quasar3671.
After walking to the end of the park for the views (and the multi ) we stopped here, making a quick find even in the dark.
We didn't exchange any Maccas swag, but we did exchange pleasantries and signatures .

Roadtrip down to Alexandra for the 2017 Mega Event.
Day 6/7 were Mega! A huge weekend made up of Gadget Caches, Lab Caches, Night Caches and a whole lot of community interaction! Absolutely amazing weekend away.

This one was on the list, so we attempted this one in the dark. A nice easy walk for this cache. Thanks!

Down here for the Mega, a group of us came out after dinner to do a multi, with the multitudes ... and this was the first of 2 traditionals we did after the multi.

Found on a long day of caching that took me from Murrindindi to Yea, Yarck, Alexandra and Acheron.

Spending a couple of nights in Alexandra, gave us the opportunity to seek out a few of the many caches which have been added to the gameboard since we were last in the area.There was a feeling of de ja vu, as we pulled up today. The bush is still as enjoyable as last time.

On the bicycle today. Took me longer to find the entrance to the park than the actual cache! Very pleasant bush with lots of random tracks ... thanks for this.

A short detour off the trails took me to GZ.

Second find on our trek around this area today. A nice quick find at 12:05 after negotiating all the spidey webs on the way to GZ.

I'd been here for its [previous incarnation](https://coord.info/GCAFCF) some 7½ years ago but strangely, I couldn't remember GZ. Damn dementia.

This was our second find for the walk around this reserve, and apart from fighting our way through a myriad of spider webs from what we found later were Spiky Spiders (or Jewel Spiders) and Triangular Spiders it was an easy find.

It was my last day in the area so I thought that I would grab a few caches before I made the trek back home. I was on the path getting the information for the multi that is in the reserve and took a short detour to find this cache. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Suscoe's last day in the Eildon area for this trip.
Up early and off we went into some fog.
A fairly cool start, but the sun soon broke through and it turned into a delightful late winter, early spring day.
We headed steadily westward back towards the Hume Highway and found lots on interesting caches along the way.
23rd find of the day.

Out for a walk on a cool morning decided to grab this one as part of the loop. Was thinking of leaving it for my 10th anniversary next year but Thomas was keen to do a few locally. Dropped in maccas toy took nothing.

I feel like I've been here before. Oh yes, that's right, I have been here before, my 40th find, on the 13th October 2014. How time flies, here I am again, nearing 400 finds later and almost a year to the day (in fact, if this had occurred to me before now I would have waited and found them exactly a year apart). The original cache was, until recently, the oldest cache I had found. Thanks for bringing me here again, this time I also took the time to actually complete the intended walk as it should be done. TFTC!

#631 - After a HUGE day of caching at the Woodlands Historic Park, I decided to stop at a couple of caches on the way home. This cache made 105/106 cache of the day and my 100th traditional.

Guided by torchlight, I dragged the sore legs to GZ and soon had the log signed. Tftc.

On our bikes and up the hill to this top reserve. Spotted heaps of kangaroos as we approached the coords. After a quick search the cache was discovered , log filled in and safely back again. Thanks
