Walked right past it trying to look for it, only found it when we headed back the way we came!Found out first one earlier down the path and wanted to search for this one.Very good hiding spot.
Took a bit of a walk through the bush with my Nana to get to this one but luckily found this one in the end!Placed a trackable that has had quite a journey overseasTFTC!
Catching up with logging geocaches from this weekend. Found with TaybeeNZ, after an afternoons expedition to Moonshine Reserve in the company of Barefootguru and TwigNZ. A pleasant, if slightly damp, walk along the stream. At GZ, a short search soon turned up the hiding place. All good in the container. TFTC!
Enjoyed the bush walk in a suburb we'd never been to before. Arrived at GZ and eldest son found a cache so I signed the log, but wait - only one finder before us. So I checked the activity logs and saw that the cache had been replaced by the CO last year but there should have been more signatures on the logsheet as it had been found a few times since then. It seems that maybe the previous finder replaced the cache but no mention that this was done with the approval of the CO so we thought we'd keep hunting and see if anything else turned up. Sure enough, a short time later, and within 2-3 metres of where we found the first cache, the real cache! Signed that one as well. Had a bit of a dilemma about the situation, should we remove one, put them both together, or leave as is. Decided to leave them both where we found them and just mention it in my log in case the previous finder wants to come and collect their container? Anyway, really nice to have a walk in a new location, TFTC
We have been looking for this for ages as we live local. Decided to replace it where we believe it should be! Happy hunting!
Came looking at early dusk thinking we'd have no hope really. Found the trailhead and headed on down. I was very happy I had my poles as the ground was a bit uneven, steep and slippery. Really neat dense bit of bush. GPS was very accurate and we found the cache without any drama. Lovely camoed container! Thanks for the adventure and cache.
Having been close by here yesterday evening, I thought I'd leave this cache for my find for today. That was before I noted the previous DNFs. Oh well, I'm here now so I'd best give it a go.
Once I'd figure out how to get to the trailhead, it was a pleasant walk to GZ. Whilst it was humid in here, it was worse outside so I was making the most of the relief. Getting to GZ, I could immediately see that I'd be up for a bit of searching, so went at it systematically.
In the end it took me about 20 minutes to finally find the cache having searched both sides of the creek. Not the biggest tree, but in the end plain persistence paid off.
Not quite a 1000+ days lonely either, but at 963 days I think it's been lonely enough
Thanks for the cache. PS I love Jethro Tull, and have been privileged to see Ian Anderson and Martin Barre play live

I checked this one today and to my surprise it has gone missing. Must have had some community group doing a clean-up in the gully. Put in a replacement container in same area. The original hint object had also gone missing so new hint added.
I really wanted to find this rather lonely cache today, but although I found a hint object (the only one around anywhere near GZ) there was no sign of any cache in the vicinity. Given how long it has been since it was last found I guess it may have disappeared. Alternatively I could have just been Thick as a Brick when I was searching.
Appreciated having the carpark waypoint, and was lovely walk into the bush. Satnav had me combing a large area until I finally spotted the hide… which left me no time for the other cache. TFTC GSEL!
I like a bit of Jethro Tull but only really familiar with Aqualung (as well as Living in the Past). Headed down the track from Ronald Scott Grove - it's quite a sudden transition into the bush from the open sky. Made my way to GZ and had a hunt around, before eventually spying something interesting and pulled out the cache. Signed the log and then continued down to Riverstone. All good here. TFTC
It's a close call between this and 'Passion play" as to which I can quote most of from memory.... came back to this today after a DNF soon after publication.
A bit boggy walking up from where I'd left the car at the bottom, and I pretty soon returned to a setting which looked eerily familiar. Yet again my search strategy could be summed up as "No one to help you get up steam And the whirlpool turns you way off-beam" (Verse . My phone tried to convince me that I should follow the advise in Verse 1 and 2..."So you ride yourselves over the fields And your suntan does rapidly peel
And your wise men don't know how it feels [Refrain] To be thick as a brick " However I eventually cast around and spotted the hint object from the right angle. I signed the log, but am I a poet or a soldier? Walked back to the car, which fortunately I'd parked a little further away than needful so I could accumulate 373m towards the DGSc Distance challenge. TFTC.

Clever clue, after a bit of sleuthing and wet feet my daughter found it. Thank you
A nice short, if a little slippery, walk to GZ. My phone had me searching on the wrong side of the stream to start with. But then I noticed something that helped me make a bit more sense of the hint.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Did today with The Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly. Enjoyed the walk down and playing in the stream. Not so much the walk up. Happy to be the finder on this one!

Cache # 4,203 - A surprising quick find made by Astro Hunter as they were first on the scene ahead of Violet Butterfly and me. Lovely little walkway I have not been on before. Thanks to the CO for bringing us here. All well with the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!

A nice walk in this little bit section of bush. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
This one took a little while but it was time well spent in a lovely peaceful spot. This is certainly the sort of location that I enjoy geocaching the most.
The cache is in great condition, thanks very much for putting it here.

Distance from original: 45.8 feet or 13.9 meters.
It looks like I might have written down the longitude coordinates incorrectly as my Garmin 64S GPS is very rarely out by 16m. So have adjusted the coordinates so its similar to those recorded by huhugrubs .

Visited the cache site several times using the owners given coordinates and spent some time searching but never finding the prize I was seeking. Then a couple of days back while looking to see if the cache had been found recently I see that the newest log by huhugrub had given a suggested coordinate of S41*06.773
E175*02.430 so off again on the search for the missing cache. Cords spot on. Signed in and replaced as found.

#9154. Good walk in the Riverstone Terraces today. Started from the Ronald Scott Grove trailhead. The bush walkway was all quiet during the visit. Arrived at GZ, but the GPS kept pointing to a higher terrain area. So stopped and looked around. Soon found a likely spot, and there was the cache nicely hidden away. The GPS reading was 16 metres. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Continued on the walkway and completed the circuit via Riverstone Drive, Swain Grove, Percy Kinsman Crescent and Kirton Drive.
Thanks for the placement and for bringing us to this site, and …

I came down to this cache from Ronald Scott Grove and after wandering around a bit and scratching my head I left it to get the cache further down the hill before coming back. On the return the GPS pointed to a different location despite having settled as much as it was going to before. I looked in some new places, some of which would have required a higher terrain rating than stated so I clearly had the wrong idea. Hint time. I can't say that helped a great deal at this point but I it might mean something when I see the right thing. I looked around in an area that was still in the error radius but not somewhere the GPS had tried to take me. Then I spotted something that made sense of the hint and then followed the cache. Cache is in great condition compared to the one I visited not far from here. Thanks for taking me on yet another walkway I would likely have never encountered without geocaching.
I popped out for a walk this morning before the forecast deluge hit. Even so it was drizzly and wet under-foot. I initially over-thought things vertically but came up with nothing other than dirt under my fingernails and spider-webs up my wrists.
After more exploration and time for my GPSr to settle (I'm always far too impatient to wait), I came up trumps. Still not sure how the hint fits in so maybe I am "Thick as a brick".
A nice wee bit of bush here and I'd say a favorite walking route for some of the locals. Fortunately none disturbed me (probably the weather).
GZ has been thoroughly 'done-over' quite recently by some poor cache-hunter.
TFTC GSEL! A great wee spot indeed.

We tentatively edged our way down the wet slippery path to the coordinates, but despite searching for some time, were unable to locate the cache. The hint wasn't really of help, although we did identify one possibility, which seemed to be confirmed now we have seen the photo.
I had a quick look for this cache back in January but I don't think I got all that close to the cache site. Today, I had more time available but I didn't need it as I found the cache fairly quickly.
This one caused a bit of hunting. Firstly went too far, then went crashing into the wrong area and got rather muddy. Then man and dog went past, then they came back the other way. Next retraced back down the track and - whats this - the GPS had settled down considerable and now told me I was in the correct area. Resorted to the hint, but that caused more confusion until a small glimmer of light shone and the cache was found!
Took a while, but its there and all good. TFTC

Had the photo to confirm I was in the right spot, but couldn't make sense of anything after that. Had what I thought was a good look before coming up empty.
Oh dear! Am I brick like?
I could tell some stories about my involvement with Ian Anderson and JT. But perhaps that can wait for when I find the cache.
My only comment on this one is: I log my DNFs.
There is a strengthening correlation between my DNFs and GSEL caches. Oh dear. Again!
Maybe I'll be back. Perhaps it will need to be in the harsh light of a mid summer's day, rather than the faint glow of a dusky late autumn afternoon (looking for anything to blame about this point!).
Damn.

#2035 A relatively quick find in the dark with a good light. Everything is good at GZ, cache dry etc. As this has been found then no need for me to be considered "thick as a brick".
Thanks for my smilie of the day.
Thanks for my smilie of the day.
I'm occasionally accused of being as 'Thick as a Brick' and also of 'Living in the Past'. It took me a while to lay my hands on the cache and for a while there I was starting to think it was all true. I first came across the JT sound in the mid 70's and it left quite an impression on me. Cheers and TFTC. And some good memories.
Leap-Day find!
Have been saving this one for some time - closest un-found cache to home - just in case I needed some easy caches to complete my grid on the 29th of Feb. As it turned out the 29th was going to be a verrrry busy day, so I'm pleased I did.
Started caching in April of 2012, so had just missed the previous 29th Feb, and that hole in the grid has been taunting me for years - no more!
A nice easy find in the first place I looked.

Weather was nicer than expected so geocaching with Just-Lookin was a very pleasant way to spend the day.
Walkway was a little poor to begin with but the bush part of the walk was good.
We soon had the cache found

#5 Bit of searching around this afternoon after not finding it last time down the track. Realized what the clue meant after the find. Took the rhino, left a doll TFTC
Headed in the wrong direction initially but enjoyed a bush walk along the river before finding a connection to this pathway. Beautifully secluded. Found the cache after a bit of searching above and below the path as the signal on the iPhone was average. Enjoyed the adventure. TFTC
Well hidden by the previous hunters/finders. The name was misleading. Was within 2 yards of the path.
The GPS was pretty inaccurate here so we relied on the picture and were rewarded with a nice clean cache. A good idea to bring people to this lovely section of bush.
Came for a bit of an expedition this afternoon to see if I could clean up 6 new unfound caches in the area. Found this one after a short search, it was a bit further from the track from where I was originally looking. I spotted the cache hide before realising that a nearby object was the hint item. Signed log, TFTC!
This one took a while as it was just going on dark when I attempted. Took a while to figure out but success, made better as second to sign the log. TFTC
Joint FTF with GBNZ so close to home we had to go for it. Found at 1435hrs 19 Oct NZDT. TFTC
