This cache seems to have gone missing again. It's too far away for me to maintain.
Another dnf for me today. I felt around as long as i could bare ...but nope, moving along now.
Out for another epic days caching with marj01; this time around Erskine Park, Orchard Hills, Kingswood, St Marys and Ropes Creek, suburbs that I would never have visited if I wasn't for geocaching. We found lots of caches; mainly nanos, minties and a few small sistemas plus a good old ammo can.
We gave this one a good look but no luck today.

Way over-thought this cache, I made the kids climb the edge (some of them Dad-assisted) and we had a great time scrambling around the rocks beneath... Then I thought to check the hint! Lol Turns out our initial attempts were along the right line of thinking but we were on the wrong side of the bridge. TFTC
Found it whilst suffering a slight battle wound that was completely unnecessary haha thank you

Couldn’t find this one.. having been right on a bridge it could’ve been dropped putting it back by someone else. Or just to tricky for us.
Wow that was a tough find, needed help on this one.located cache signed the scroll and returned exactly where I found it,although it appears the pin is alittle off the mark on the gps. Well hidden though i searched after work just on dark, acouple pairs of muggles were close to me never knew I was there.
This cache took a fair bit of careful looking and hoping the GPS was indicating the right side. When it was found, we saw it was the best colour and in a good, safe and secure place. It was handed up for the other team member to do the signing and was then put back where it had been found. Thank you coastblue for adopting and looking after this cache.
Wow that one was tricky to find in the dark but a tip from a previous finder made it a bit easier - next time I won’t leave it so late in the day to find a cache TFTC P&Q, I really enjoyed it!
As I had some work to do around the house today, I popped out for a quick find after buying food to cook for dinner tonight. I soon realised I would have to be like a troll, and then made the find. TFTC P&Q
On our way out for the weekend, we'd thought we'd stop by and find a few caches along the way.

We'd come to St Mary's to visit the Dutch Festival, which is on over this weekend. After spending a bit of time there, buying some treats such as stroopwafeln and speculaas, and having a traditional lunch at the Dutch Club, I thought I could come up here and have a quick look for a nearby cache.
Being a weekday afternoon, and with some rain threatening, there was nobody about. We found the park and parked the car nearby. Then I made my way over towards GZ. A person on a bicycle came towards me on the bridge, and stopped in the park at one of the shelters. Apart from that, nobody to be seen. After a few saunters back and forth I decided that there was no other option but to see what the troll might find so attractive from his perspective.
Another short bit of meticulous checking, and then I spotted the hide. I delicately extracted the container and signed the log sheet. No place for TBs, but at least they came along for the mileage.
Then it was time to head on over towards the Regatta Club where I wanted to pick up a few puzzles I'd solved some time ago.

After negotiating the obstacle to get to where trolls live a short search was undertaken to find the hide. Retrieved, signed the log and replaced as found.
Managed to put a small tear in my trousers negotiating back over the obstacle to get back to my car. tftc

Hunted around the co-ords of the Garmin 62S but no find. Everything was so hot to touch and kneeling down was painful in the bare skin.
Parked the car and then walked the short distance to the bridge. This cache took a little while to find. The log was signed and then the cache was replaced as found. Thank you P&Q for placing this cache.
Well that was an effort and our fourth visit to GZ, but with JJCC in tow we finally turned our DNF frown into a smile. Not sure how many times we had crossed the creek in the search, but acting the troll was definitely the way to go and in the end we had settled on a rough location and side via the GPSr and it was the slight change in tone that gave this little one away - nice placement.
With the cache safely in hand, we pulled up a rock and proceeded to sign our names before replacing everything as found. Both the container and log are in good condition.
The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), The Hulk & Vanlith The Youngling.

Parked the geobeast across the road and made my way to GZ. Lots of laughter at the nearby playground and I can see way it's one of Q's favorite grounds. Searched the obvious places and than began a more thorough look in every nook and cranny before seeing the little blighter. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Geo wife and I looked for quite a while around the most obvious spots, and no luck.
Scratch that DNF, Mrs Blacksters thought like a troll, and found it. Very tricky. Tftc

The Geowife has other plans - that don't require me - and I finally have a day on which I have no other responsibilities.
So decided to head west to pick up some new caches - and maybe avenge the odd DNF.
Even better, managed to snaffle a First2Find - but needed a 25km round trip to snag it from where I was being muggled out.
In the end bagged seven. I'll take that.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After being muggled out of *c.a.r.e.s 2 (v2)* for a second time I headed here.
I'd previously DNFed it and noticed it had been replaced.
Accessed GZ as per my last visit. Then floundered around - did I mention I hate bridge hides, so many nooks and crannies.
Finally got a glimpse at a difficult angle and made the grab after a 15 minute search. How many times did I cross that creek?
Completed signing duties and replaced, then off to my next target.
On my way back after my next find I noticed someone searching in low terrain rated areas, so swung around, stopped and offered assistance - unfortunately while the Geowife has a close friend who signs, I don't, so some appallingly bad miming ensued. Got there in the end and a second find was made today.
Nice to meet you **Deafsanta**.

GeoWife and I were out to Penrith this morning and had to also go past St Marys, took the scenic way home.
Plenty of places to hide a nano on this structure, required a different approach to locate this little guy but finally found it.
Signed the log and replaced as found.

Made my muggle mate pull over on our way home so I could grab this one now that it's been enabled. Took about 10 minutes of searching til I finally got to the right spot and saw it. TFTC and greetings from Canada
Out for the morning for a couple of puzzles and some we had missed on past runs. Quick find TFTC
Finally had a chance to check this one and I can't see it so I've replaced it. Happy caching:)
Was a nice morning, and an OK afternoon, so I decided to head west for a few finds. In the end I found seven and DNFed one.
To be honest, I wasn't intending to grab this many, but, well, like potato chips, once you start it's so hard to stop.
Even better, I did manage to avenge a previous DNF. HUZZAH!

Looked on the bridge deck.
Looked under the bridge deck.
Almost did myself in getting back to the bridge deck.
No sign - time for a cache check.

Out and about we headed over. We knew what we were looking for but on reading some previous logs we upped the T rating and soon found the hid. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Staying in the area with friends. So why out on my morning walk thought I would grab a local cache.

Memoirs Of A Troll
Scurried out of the couch, down into the depths, dragging my lifeless hands. Gee, the water is cold in the lightly flowing creek. Moaning out of the side of my mouth, clouds protecting my eyes made the search easier.
Ahh, slightly a different shade to the adjoining element. It's the treasure I seek!
No muggles passed over head for me to jump up and prevent a crossing without payment, thus after a long spell, returning up the same path of entry in seek of my next meal.
It's the wrong path??? Too many commuters taking a different road, ahh it's the Ropes Crossing Road I seek. Must flee.

I came here after attending bikerbuddy's niece's first birthday party up the road. I applied logic to my search, after reading the previous logs, then bikerbuddy interrupted my logic to say I was on the wrong side. Logic was reapplied to the correct side & I had the cache in hand.
Thanks

I spent a few minutes here checking where one checks for trolls. The WaywardWoman, who is not as agile, stayed where billy goats are wont to stay, looking over information about the cache. She read a few logs that mentioned the terrain, then checked the terrain rating. Surely it was too low, I thought. Then, I reasoned, if I assume it's actually correct, that means the cache must be ....
Here!
Thanks

#3293- While bikerbuddy did a fence jump, I had a look around from above. We soon realised that where I was would have been probably just as easy. Thanks

Wow it's taken a long time to log this cache. We headed down here to find this extremely local cache. So good to see some in Ropes Crossing. We walked the 15 minutes from home to the cache and, after searching in all the usual spots, the cache was found in no time.
Thanks P&Q for the great little hide.

Stopped by with JJCC to look for the troll, but unfortunately on our visit today he could not be found. Initially used the GPSr on my tablet but couldn't get an accurate read on GZ, so went back to the car plugged the coordinates into the eTrex20 and on the second search got to 0 metres at GZ. Had a good look, from both top and bottom perspectives, but this little tacker of a troll just didn't want to be found today. Unfortunately we are not having any luck with the caches in Ropes Crossing...we will be back.
Found via the higher T way to make an easy find, and avoid being seen by the teens at the skate park.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
3/10/15. 6:56 AM. Cache #3073. Streak day #468.
1st of 4 today - Ropes Creek, Blacktown and The Rocks.
Headed out early to clear a few other new caches, starting with this one. I'd read enough from the other logs to see that a higher terrain approach would simplify the find, although I'd forgotten to read the hint so spent a few minutes looking for the wrong sort of thing. Then when I had read it, I had to make a second sweep and finally caught sight of it. Luckily the bridge was nice and muggle-free at this hour. Signed, replaced and then headed into Blacktown for BB's newest, "All I Want Is You". TFTC.

Although the light was fading, we made a last minute decision to grab a cache on the way home. As with others before me, I significantly upped the terrain which allowed a visual approach resulting in a reasonably quick find.
While it’s YGAT’s first for a while, it caps off the biggest month for me for some time, so nice one.
Thanks P&Q.

Mr MR said let’s grab a cache so we selected this new one. It was my first drive through Ropes Creek. It's quite pleasant, but I bet the locals wish they hadn’t ripped out the rail line. SL TFTC
This one just requires patience. The phone didn't like the metal bridge, so it was just a matter of looking everywhere...inside and OUT!
Not wanting to lay down on the bridge I took the troll option and searched for this cache from below. Still took me a while to find as I was just cache blind, basically looking in the wrong direction, when I turned around it was staring me in the face. SL #2206 on streak day #1177 TFTC
One last find for the day. I upped the Terrain to lower the Difficulty!?!
