I took another crack at this one. I checked a few surrounding trees as well. Same results as before. Can we get a CO thumbs up/down?

25-Jan-23
Climbed the tree but no luck. To be fair it was getting dark so we may have had better luck in the day light.

27-Aug-22
Pretty sure I had the right tree but not seeing anything up here.

04-Jun-22
Ha ha like when you young climbing trees

28-May-22
Not sure if I was at the right door, but this looks to be the only tree that would take my weight where the GPS from me, and it's been recently chopped.... Cheers

17-May-22
That was fun, thanks! Cache in good condition.

21-Dec-21
First cache I’ve had to climb a tree for! Loved it. Tftc

18-Apr-21
We were in the neighbourhood and thought this one looked interesting. Navigating to the start point isn’t easy, as it seemed to us to be on private land, but a helpful local came and pointed out the path. Nice tree, and cache located. Needed an extraction device to get the log out of the container, which thankfully Debsnz passed put to me. Log signed, replaced, and back down the tree before any more neighbours noticed. Thanks for placing this. Found with Debsnz and Aoraki Sheep

17-Apr-21
Always liked a tree climb as a kid and thought this one sounded fun. We weren't sure where to go to get to GZ when a friendly local pointed out the walkway and not wanting to appear rude we followed his directions. After that finding the right tree was easy and then it was spoonz2 who did the honours of climbing while I offered encouragement. Found with spoonz2

04-Nov-20

Out this afternoon to try and get some clues for the Mystery game. Decided Mr Coconuts only (77) was better to do this challenge hehe. What a fun place to come and find a cache. Again a new place never been to before with our new hobby. Thanks for this cache joshw8.

21-Jun-19

Phew.....as tree climbing is not on my skill set; I was really pleased when my Driver for the afternoon offered to do the honours!
I must admit the only trads I haven't done in Auckland are the tree climbing ones !

05-Sep-18
7870. I took Supernanny out geocaching this afternoon, providing transport and local knowledge. This was number five of eight finds for the afternoon. A quick find as I spotted it from some metres away. I did the honours and signed the logsheet. Thanks for the cache and the slight challenge. Rodney.

07-Jul-18
Found but didn’t write on it because the paper seemed quite fragile

18-Jun-18
Found the cache ok but the log is very fragile and damp. Tftc

27-Apr-18
Was not as bad as thought, a quick grab. TFTC

Great climb, like these Caches.
TFTC

26-Jan-18
I thought Mr7 would enjoy this one so we carried on up the road, parked up and looked for the footpath to get us to GZ. Both boys were a bit concerned that we were going to end up going down someone's drive but I convinced them otherwise. Soon found the right tree and I could see the cache from the ground. Mr7 did the monkey thing and we were soon signing the log. It had been wet at one point and is looking a bit crumpled. I thought I had a spare log with me, but it must have fallen out somewhere so I couldn't replace it after all. Don't forget if you roll the log and put it inside the lid of these containers it makes it much easier to get back in and remove next time. TFTC

21-Oct-17
TFTC out for a morning walk. No pen so photo as evidence.

16-Oct-17
Tftc. Log is super wet

16-Oct-17
TFTC. Log is very wet.

09-Sep-17
I was going to put this off until I could send NZGecko up but I was in the area and keen to keep a wee streak going so... Wink
In the end it was only a little climb - even I could do it! Got the cache open to find the log is still quite damp. Eventually managed to scratch our initials on it (R3 for me and NMJ for NotManlyJack).
TFTC Cool

09-Sep-17
I'm not a tree climber so I sent Rincewind3 up Wink. In my defence - I drove! Thanks for the cache. Smile

09-Sep-17
Log is damp enough to rip when written on. Didn't have more than a pen on me so I was unable to replace it. Sad

09-Feb-17
I was not keen to try ones like this- but when I saw Wombles BJT had done it- I always figure I have to give it a shot!! Glad we did- tftc

09-Feb-17

08-Feb-17
Had to wait for a moment for the local to leave her car, but quickly spotted and signed. Thanks Warfi for your tree climbing skills. A great day with c -road and warfi.

TFTC. Out with RogoWiz to have a sortie of of this cache, thinking we might need to do some planning prior to retrieval. Over thought it all. Cache was in hand and log signed in short time.
Thanks joshw8 for placing the cache.

11-Sep-16
purdiepurdie suggested we tackle a tree climb and this one was on my list. Not hard to get to GZ but parking was a little difficult. We were soon at GZ, a curious walkway there. I was soon up but having a little trouble - too high. Not quite the challenge I was after but a nice little cache all the same.
Thanks for the cache.

02-Sep-16
Another tree climbing cache off the list. I had attempted this in the past but got scared off before getting anywhere near it by a very loud dog... no such hassles today... got up into the tree to find the cache right in front of my face... TFTC (3151)

25-Aug-16
I don't usually do tree climbs but this one looked reasonably easy. It was and the cache was quickly found. TFTC.

30-Jul-16
Nice wee stroll to gz and a quick climb by nosynel and we are done. Cheers for the hide.

30-Jul-16
We drove to this one. I needed my friend BBear44 for moral support. I like climbing trees but not on my own.

17-Jul-16
Monkey husband does it again!

16-Jul-16
Sent the 8 year old after this one.

29-May-16
The last day of our South Island holiday with tmann421 and collecting a few more caches while heading to the airport.

Was leaning on a branch for a while before I realised I had my hand on the cache! TFTC

29-May-16
J-L found this one first!
I was not in the right area of the tree.

SL TFTC

27-May-16
That was fun. Kids use the path when school gets out and I was poised to grab cache when about 10 of them came racing down. I froze. Phew, not spotted. Tftc

15-May-16
Down south once again for work and with bit of spare time to complete a number of tasks that I had set for myself. This included collecting a number of caches that have been sitting in my "to Collect" list for some time as they meet various requirements for challenges that I have set myself.

So wiith a nice and early start, it was always going to be a big few days caching and the work conforence that I was attending was still (damm it) going to be a priority.
Down from the hills around Godley Reserve and time to collect a few caches that I solved sometime earlier

So thanks to all the cache owners for the set ups and apologies for taking so long to log them but the logging of caches had to take a back seat to collecting the APE CACHE

thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

09-Mar-16

I was out with BaldEd picking some caches that he hadn't signed off and needless to say that I hadn't signed off. This was one for me and one for him.

Cheers for the cache.

29-Dec-15
Out caching with Tufty and after we had finished caching on a nearby road we made the climb up Bengal Dr to the walkway to find this cache in the location where I had previously found a rather snotty Wink cache.. Of course I made my younger brother do the climb, whilst I supervised from below. Big Grin TFTC.

18-Dec-15
Quick find tftc

18-Dec-15
Nice evening drive up the short hill to the top of the path as knew this was the easiest place to park because of the cache in this location before this one. Nice quick walk and find. As I was climbing Chelzea spotted the cache from the ground so an easy retrieve and sign.

13-Dec-15
easy find

11-Dec-15
Nice easy find on a great day out. TFTH

06-Dec-15
A quick find, was not too sure how far to go! Thanks

A cruisy day around the hood.

Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

26-Nov-15
First find of the day while out with my friend caching. We went the wrong way to GZ via the wrong road but eventually ended up in the right place. My friend climbed the tree and I helped her. Soon, muggles asked if we were looking for a cache and we said yes. They smiled and said many people have been in the area before. Soon after the chat, the cache was found and we smiled. Thank you for the hide!

03-Nov-15
Have visited this area before. Great tree to climb for an oldie!! TFTC Cool

28-Oct-15
This was meant to be our last cache for an impromtu cache mission. Cachelets 1 & 2 leapt into action and were up the tree in no time and spotted the cache. This was kind of luxurious as I was on the ground and the girls passed down the log! We replaced it and the call for 'just one more Dad' came and we did decide to try for a FTF in Springston...

Thanks for the cache.

26-Oct-15
Quick and easy find on a sunny Labour Day walk. TFTC

25-Oct-15
A quick find thanks

24-Oct-15
This was the tenth day of my fifteen day trip to go to the Christchurch Mega, and the first day of the Mega, so I was out with kyb3r, IF and mtbikeroz picking up the Lab caches and others. I let the younger crowd do the climbing, as I watched safely from Terra Firma. TFTC.

24-Oct-15
Took the direct route as indicated by Google maps, and made the find. Cheers!

24-Oct-15
An odd spot ?? Smile
We followed a narrow side road which had a neat row of letterboxes lined up at the start.
The rent-a-car was abandoned, Kiwi-Style, in the middle of the road and everyone jumped out and headed for various trees.

It wasn't long before one member of the team had a cache in his hands Big Grin

None of the neighbours seemed interested in what was going on in their 'private' cul de sac [^]

Quick find which was nice after a couple of DNFs this morning. Being an acrobat certainly helped although being taller also would have been nice!

20-Oct-15
[green] What a day. Out on the bike again, hoping for my target of 40 caches. Wasn't looking like I was going to make it - multis, wherigos and DNFs slow you down. And I had a LOT of DNFs today - one had even been archived just a few days ago. But I got my 40, although I arrived back at the backpackers an hour later than hoped. Hot, tired, sweaty, smelly, happy. And sun burnt. Better pack the sunscreen tomorrow.
Smacked in the ear by a branch, dropped my pen, but found the cache so who cares!!

11-Oct-15
Pleased this one didn't take me too long as I had a deadline. I have never been up here before. A nice wee walk. Smile TFTC

06-Oct-15
Went all prepared with gear that had Everest potential, but didn't need it. Nice hide and a very narrow little road up. Thanks.

30-Sep-15
Stopped off on the way past to pick up TW for this evenings MEGA meeting. Quick find and sign in a familiar tree. Nice one. Cheers.

28-Sep-15
People working next door but didn't seem interested in our antics. TFTC

23-Sep-15
{FTF} 11.15am 23 Sept. Nice little hide in the tree. Found in the rain. I am sure I was at the vicinity in the past looking for a different cache.

Can I request a change of name for this cache please?
You will note I already have a series of "Cache-mere" hides, #1, #2 and #3 in upper Cashmere, and planning to extend the series down the hill over time. It will just get confusing for people if there are multiple caches of the same name.

23-Sep-15
Well done JB yes I saw the name and thought... huh??? Nice name chance CO Smile

Looks like the exact spot we used to have Slimorama 3- since archived due to repeated mugglings

EDIT Mrs TS has been up and found it...and an old Slimeorama 3 as well!

23-Sep-15
Must have just missed you James Smile Was heading home from grocery shop when MrSharpe called and mentioned this cache. Threesharpe and I walked down the steps in the pouring rain and what was the first thing we saw, our old Slimearama cache. Log book and everything still in it, so we may use this again. Up and up I went and cache quickly found, second to log. And I've now noticed a name change, why couldn't it have started with I ;0) (need 2 more I's for the super challenge Smile ) Thanks so much for the cache and the climb.
