I have been Unleashed Upon the World alone for the afternoon, so I am making it the days mission to hunt down as many Lolly Scramble caches as I can. Caching alone as That Darn Bear already has the majority of this series.Tftc
Out mopping up Lolly Scramble caches. This one was still on my unfound list. It was a quick find. TFTC.
Today the Lolly Scramble series is my target. I'm with MacPacMum and while I find them she performs any maintenance required. Most are in excellent condition, with some needing fresh logs and baggys, and an odd few that need replacing altogether. It's great to have a power trail where all the caches are themed containers, and each one has had so much time, thought, and effort put into them. Thanks for keeping this trail going over 10 years MPM.
Found this one on the ground but then saw the TT2 where we thought the cache should be so replaced there. TFTC
Thanks MandMCachers for the lolly scramble series. I am really enjoying these today as I was after lots of caches with different attitributes. These fill some lots of gaps. I was wishing I had not found so many on previous trips. Haha. All caches were interesting finds and I enjoyed them all.

An ice-block for 2¢? Wow, what world would that have been!
Even adjusted to inflation that would probably not come to more than 20 or something today?
Hedged the bets and found the cache at the first place checked.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, MandMCachers!

A nice quick park and grab on our way out to a friend's place nearby.
Saving these for our trips out here to visit, but I can see it would be fun to do them all in one big caching spree!
TFTC- all in good order here

Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other solved puzzles that we collected as well. This was our Big Day out plan where we'd planned to get as many caches as we could. Unfortunately we just fell short of our target as we lost track of the exact number of finds. Good preparation and a fantastic team to work with made this an enjoyable and successful day. We'd completed the Fresh Breath, the Smurfs and the new Skelly series. This line up of lollies was our next target caches. I am a great fan of lollies. This was such a cool little series all with nicely themed hides. I hadn't heard of TT2's so I've now googled it. Born in the early 1970's I may be too young but my favourite icecream flavour is Lemonata Cheesecake by Tip Top. An easy find here. Thanks for the effort to make them all fun
Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei on Wednesday avo. Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list.
Today looked like being the best weather for our trip, despite a heavy thunderstorm overnight. We had a Big Day Out planned, with a perhaps optimistic target of finding 300 caches in one day. Working together well as a team, with a driver, a navigator and a jumper, we made good progress, but in the end, the bigger distances between caches, that we hadn't anticipated, meant we ended the day a bit short.
A fun day though certainly, and sincere thanks to the GeoArt & Trail CO's, and others, for placing and then maintaining such large numbers of caches so well. A testament to your dedication to Geocaching was the very low number of DNF's during the day. Apologies for the mostly generic logs, but be assured your efforts were truly appreciated.
Ready for an ice block about now. I found this one in the hint location

Northland's Team Gold (0B80B8, Liz Crew, DaffyNZ) are in Christchurch for a few days collecting all our solved puzzles and other cache types as we drive past. This is our "Big Day Out" to collect as many caches as we can in a day. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks for placing the cache. We are loving every cache we locate that adds to our tally for the day.

A quick trip to the area for a few more caches and some unfinished bissness.
So today we get the last of one geo art and start a new one .
Let's go have some fun .
First we in get some practice in and pick up a sweet treat or two or three .
After this lot I think I will be sick and need a dentist appointment.
Always loved a lolly scramble.
Now I'm getting hungry and I could do with a bag of lolly to snack on . Yumm
Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching.
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

Typical. Spend a week down south with the family visiting the outlaws, and ChCh bakes. Get back .. about 40 caches shy of where I want to be for the year, and it rains. I guess I have a jacket... They say you don't have to be mad to Cache, but sometimes it helps. Cheers!
Headed off to collect the lolly scramble trail on a windy day in spring. I note that the pine trees are covered in pollen which was upsetting my hay fever so I did not collect all the caches in the series. I very much enjoyed the creativity that was put into these hides and all were very much in the theme. TFTC.
Oh I loved TT2's back in the day. But all that love didn't help me find this cache today - I did find a white cable tie on a branch which is consistent with other hides but no ice block.
Out and about getting some lollies, and visiting a couple of horses. I had started the Lolly Scramble while down over Xmas a few years ago. Now that I'm living down here, I have no excuse for not finishing!
I don't remember TT2s. I just googled them at some website said they stopped production in 1968, and I wasn't born until '84. Things you didn't know, you didn't know!
TFTC MacPacFamily, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 12 find(s) of 18 today, making this find #2635

Sorry, not old enough to remember these but ... would've been happy to try some. My teeth are aching from all the anticipated sugar rush of this series. TFTC

Having a tiki tour around Canterbury and after lunch in Oxford had some fun caching for a few hours. A brief break from scrambling for lollies. Tftc
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... We've been lucky to have great weather, and extended daylight hours have given us more time to cache. Unfortunately, the sun must set each day and it's become a race to squeeze in a few more finds. So, at this late afternoon hour, we chose to knock off the the remaining Lolly Scramble hides... Thanks M&MCachers and TFTC.

After a big day yesterday collecting caches around the Mt Thomas tracks, we headed out in the car today to clear some roadside caches. We had a pretty successful day with 55 finds and just 2 DNF's. All finds were nice and quick and any specific notes will be mentioned below. Thanks to all CO's for your caches and sorry for copy and paste log but I had no internet at time to make detailed logs.

Great fun, out with Baird fmly, for lolly scramble adventure now not in the rain!, this lucky not to have been trimmed..
Great day lolly scrambling with C Boyd the weather has improved as the day progresses. I think easier to find since the haircut.
In Christchurch with abcdf4 for zephyr club convention and tagged along to pick up a few caches. A lot of quick easy finds and tons of parks and grabs. Thanks to the COs.

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 16 Glentunnel to Waikari 76 caches found. Decided to do this series. I enjoyed the work that has gone into this. With every container I smiled and thought about the memories it brought back. Thank you for the placement

DNF avenged! I have no idea how I missed that last time, although I suspect it had something to do with my tendency to search at GL all the time (regardless of what the hint says). *Such* a doofus some days.
Anyway, today I actually *read* the hint and went straight to it. Excellent!

As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble this cache has been checked and logbook replaced.
I was in Rangiora for a WoF for the geomobile today (stalking our mechanic who is now working there).
I figured while I was out this way I'd try to find a few caches, including some I'd seen get archived but it appeared the containers were left as geo-trash.
This cache wasn't one of the archived ones, by this stage I'd done all those and was just caching my way home.
Well I *thought* i was thorough, but I had no luck and gave up when the school buses started turning up, so I gave up and moved on.

Spotted, but not at the level I was first looking at. FP for the series. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent aka TB (prev known as BJ25). Find # 1763
One of 12 caches located along South Eyre Road today, last day of Queen’s Birthday Weekend and still dreary and drizzly! Needed to get out of the house to do a few caches. Reasonably quick find. #1830. TFTC.
There has been a thorough trim along here and even so it took me a few minutes to find what I was looking for. The lid is missing but log is dry. I've left it kind of facing down so rain won't get in. #2866
