Find #2393 for me. Found at 2:37 pm while visiting the area from Bendigo. Well, I parked at #3 but decided to walk along the trail to find #1 first as the OCD in me insisted on doing them in numerical order. Once at GZ I made a quick find. Thanks for bringing me here today kenare and thanks for the cache!
Heading to St. Arnaud for the mega event. Day 66 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 15 for the day and 1834 for the trip. TFTC
LeeLee teamed up with AusFox; today with the goal to hit the BSRT trail from Smythesdale picking up a few unclaimed smilies from the last visit plus more. 14.5kms travelled on bike today.
Perfect weather, company and a great trail made for a lovely day.
Our last spot on the bike today. Nice size hide. Squeezed a TB in to keep travelling.
TFTC. Enjoyed the diversion. A few tables in the area which I will remember for future travelling.

I teamed up with LeeLee of Crack'n'LeeLee to work our way along a section of the Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail covering 14.5km. The trail was in better than some of the dirt roads we ventured along. This is the first time I've dusted of the bike and used it as transport to cache, this will be the first of many trips I hope.
The weather was perfect for the ride with great company.
This was our last find on bikes for the day.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Kenare

TFTC. We are camped overnight at the nearby reserve. After setting up we went for a walk along the track. This was a quick find and cache in good condition.

All rugged up for a cold Ballarat day, after the Napoloens Tree Planting Event, we set off to seek out some of the caches in the Smythesdale- Scarsdale area.
What a delightful creekside area, for this pair of caches. The frogs and kookaburras were pretty happy with their surroundings as well.
Thanks 'kenare' for this placement.

Having walked much of the BSRT today, we enjoyed this lovely green trail as a welcome change. We wouldn't have found it without caching - an old saying, once again confirmed. Thank you for bringing us here!
It was a sunny winters day so what better than a walk of discovery! What a beautiful part of the world. I took a muggle friend and she had camped at the park but never knew this creek was here - think I might have converted her! TFTC
Found in the nick of time as an animal had dislodged it and it was close to falling down the river bank. Perfect find with young kids as only a short walk in from the road.
It has been way too long since our last cache. But an opportunity to be out here today gave us the chance to grab this cache. Wonderful little spot. Thanks for the cache.
Finally found some time to have a go at this trail today... something I've always wanted to do even before i discovered geocaching but now have a bigger reason to do it. Jumped on the deadly-treadly and made it from Alfredton to Nimmons Bridge in Scarsdale. Over 40 caches found which is one of my highest find days so far and 3 DNF'S. Thx to all the CO's for putting caches along here for us to find.
A little detour from riding the BSRT led me to searching for the last two caches along this walk after finding the first one after attending the nearby 4wd club open day last year. No problems with the gps at this one, went straight to it. Nice spot for a picnic here with the tables provided. Thx Kenare for the caches here.

Found at 4:53 PM GAFF1.
We are camped at the Smythesdale Gardens camping area and after setting up and having a bit of a drink, we headed off to do some of the nearby caches before dinner.
Such a lovely set up - we really appreciated it.

We are staying in the area for an overnight stop and felt the need to find a few of the local caches. What a lovely area this is here we enjoyed our walk from one end and back again. SL TFTC
What a beautiful day, just right for some caching and enjoying the fresh air. Really enjoyed the walk along the path. TFTC
It was a cold and wet February afternoon but it was kind of nice to be out in the unseasonal elements following the track to this cache and #2 a bit further on.
A quick find was made at this cache before heading off.

Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
We did this series backwards and so we just found number 1
A lovely walk along a pretty river

Out and about with Moneydork and Locus Cache. We stayed in the same accommodation with the idea that we would tackle some of the local caches in Ballarat including the rail trail and challenge caches. This is one of the caches we targeted.
Thanks for the cache kenare!

On our way west/south/west of Ballarat and camped overnight at Smythdale. Chose a six cache circular walk. Six out of Six today.
Thanks kenare

We were in the area this morning to find a few caches, A very pleasant walk through the area and a quick find. Nice to meet you this afternoon. Thanks kenare.
The Lookabouts were quick. Cool series, time for some afternoon tea. Thanks Kenare.
The Lookabouts geokid made the grab here for the last on our walk this afternoon. Now for some cake!!!
What a surprise this area was - great spot for a picnic. Found cache with spot on co ords. Thanks.
10:39:00 AM. Has a pleasant walk to GZ and made the find. No one around and log was signed. Nice area in here. Thanks kenare for placing this cache.
Out and about this morning with master 5 to do maintenance on the BSRT so we grabbed a few other caches too! What a fab little spot to walk - there is even water in the creek! We started at #3 and took the leisurely stroll along the track. Thanks for highlighting this unknown gem
Came over to YP to try and get one particular cache which as it turns out we didn't get.
Not to worry it will still be for next time. We found a few others to make up for it.
Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.

Day 2 of our caching trip to Ballarat with Freddo and Team Waldron, we had an ejoyable ride along this trail finding the caches as we went, logs were signed 3FW to save space in the log books.TFTC
Suscoe was up in the Ballarat area today enjoying a delightful wander about.
It was a beaut Summer's day with some cloud cover and a gentle breeze to keep the temperature very mild indeed for this date of the year. In short it was the ideal day for a caching trip.
The last one for us in this little series, a nice place and we are glad we have had this opportunity to see the efforts made here.
A nice picnic spot not far from GZ.
Thanks to kenare for making us stop this morning.

With a day off from working the weekend and a leave pass granted, all that was left for me to do, was pack up the geo vehicle with supplies including the 2 wheel manual vehicle and I was off at the crack of dawn. My day started at 5:30am and finished 225+ kilometres later at 5:30pm. 60+ caches found for the day and a few DNF's.
I had finished my mission along the Rail Trail and now it was time to make my way into Ballarat. I parked the geo vehicle not far from the first one. A nice walk in a very dry area at the moment. Had the track to myself other than a few friendly horses. A quick find. Stamped and returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache, kenare [^]
Log and container in good condition.

Find No. 1212. Found with FUF009 at 4.17pm
No.50 of 56 for today.
After completing the Linton to Scarsdale part of the BSRT on our bicycles which we had planned to do for the the day, we now had the rest of the day to locate other finds. As we headed into Ballarat we chose a few icons to turn into smilies along the way.
Our final one one this walk - yes we done it backwards 3,2,1. It was Mr Tyred n Cranky who quickly located this hide.
Took grey dinosaur - Left two small erasers.

Find # 2744 @ 1617H
No.50 for today.
Found with Tyred n Cranky
It was done, we had came down with a plan and had now finished the Linton to Scarsdale leg of the BSRT, there for it is now all found (until more placements)
With the bikes loaded up we though about making a few more finds on our way into Ballarat, so a look at the GPSr and a plan was organised to turn some icons to smilies.
We done the walk 3,2,1. After the big ride we had done earlier it was good to test the legs out with a good walk.
A quick find was made by Mr Tyred n Cranky.

Perfect day for a spot of caching. The GeoFerret di the driving and signing of the logs today.
We walked into here, but in hindsight it seemed as though it would have been fine to drive.
This was find 2 of 7 finds for today, being found at 1:35:00 PM.
Thanks kenare for placing this cache and bringing me here.

Funny thing happened to me on the way to this one....the co txt me.....could she sense it. What an amazing place but couldn't expect the co to pick anything less. Well done my partner in crime been waiting ages to do these and here I am. Tftc
Geokids youngest and oldest looked but couldn't see it. So mum looked and there it was! Freaky path in the heat. Kept thinking we would see a snake.
Didn't know what we were heading into when we took a detour from the BSRT. Bit worried about punctured tyres. Safe however. Soon came to this gz and l guided 2 grandsons to what was the correct spot, but they assured me that there was no cache where l pointed to, but their mother, suehut, proved that l was right. Ha! Thanks for this interesting series, we went onto the second one as well, but a previous log mention of spiders freaked out a grandson so we went to no. 3.
Found with Cherad and the geokids. Nice day for a walk, nice to chat to the local farm animals along the way in the neighboring paddocks. The kids enjoyed that the most I think. TFTC
Found while enjoying a lovely walk in a lovely area with Mi5sie, I didn't know this was here. Thanks for bringing us here, geoson loved investigating everything. TFTC
Took a relaxing bicycle ride to this location, perfect day for it, and a lovely area I didn't know was here. Bull ants seem pretty fond of the cache but undeterred I signed the log and went on my merry way. TFTC, Kenare
On the BSRT trail again to reach Smythesdale. Started at the end and made way back to start! Nice series. TNLN TFTC kenare.
Found this cache on my 40th birthday.
Thanks for the cache Kenare.

We were out caching the area with Alansee and The Drovers picking up some sections of the rail trails and this little series was next on the list.
Even though the cache page made reference to it we were quite surprised to find the bigger than expected picnic area here, and even more happy it was empty.
This one took us a few minutes to track down but we are happy to say our names are now in the log.
Thanks kenare for the cache and showing us this area.

Left Melbourne yesterday, and set up camp at the Creswick Caravan Park.
After Alansee and Team Crackers arrived, we enjoyed the open fire place in the camp kitchen.
After completing another section of the rail trail, we swung by to attempt this cache.
It was found after a short search, and we happily added our names to the log.
A fun day was had, in the company of good friends.
Many thanks for placing this cache, kenare, for us and others to find.

Found with Team Crackers and The Drovers on a good day for caching. This one took us a little longer than it should have but Mrs Crackers came to the rescue.
Heading back home from Ballarat, I thought I'd check these couple of caches out. I enjoyed the nice walk on a pleasant evening. It's good to see new walking tracks being developed. The cache was soon located on arrival to GZ. Thanks kenare.
