On our way south we passed this road as well and found the Cache easily!Thank you for the Cache!
Love spot. Pity about the rubbish. Cache is no longer tied to anything but well hidden at ground level. TFTC
At last we managed to stop here & quick find. Sad to see so much rubbish around. TFTC
A quick little overnight trip to Hawkes Bay and then up to Taup and back home to find some Adventure Labs and to hopefully qualify for the S39 Challenge. The track is getting some use, as evidenced by the Ute parked up.All good here, and thank you to munkis for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #6692 at 27 April 2024 8:13am

EnglishWe are six Norwegians on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of February and are traveling home after the mega event in Adelaide. We travel by car and Geocaching helps us discover many nice places and often helps to decide where we choose the route between our goals which are: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Dunedeen, and Adelaide. As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.
Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrV sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
Lovely easy find...However it is no longer hanging, But at base of post .Very keen to return one day and check out the river, and the Opoto Falls!
Quick stop off en route from Napier to Rotorua. Easy find with the hint. TFTC
Stopped here on our return journey towards home after our annual Xmas caching roadtrip.Heavy showers had just stopped when we arrived, nice quick find, TFTC.
We had intended to search for the falls but the path was very overgrown and impassable so we searched for the cache instead which was quickly found and we continued our journey northwards. TFTC
Great little spot. Thank you for the cache. Signed under previous 9 letter gc name starting with ah
A quick stop off on our way to Napier. We were pleased to find that the cache is no longer tied on as it started raining heavily, so we took it back to the car to sign.We will have to come back and explore the track sometime.TFTC
When we headed over to Hastings for the blossom festival we saw this one was on the other side of the road so made a point of getting it on the way back especially with the good parking. Cache is very wet but thanks goodness for writable paper. Thanks for the placement.
Found by Blenheim Bear on a wee day driving between Taupo and Napier. Thanks for the cache all good today. Blenheim Bear
Quick stop as we collect some of these caches on our way through from Hawkes Bay to Taupo. TFTC .
Short stop on our way to Rotorua. We didn’t go down, the path looked a bit to steep.
Thank you for the cache

This was a quick stop and find in a much quieter place than the last cache stop we made.
Thanks for setting this up

Hunted around for too long, the clue is the giveaway for sure. No need to do battlee with the blackberry. Replaced log for weatherproof, hopefully see it though the summer, tftc.
My Solo Escape from Napier to Taupo for the night meant I could hunt for caches to my heart’s content I didn’t read the hint initially so it took me longer than it should hah. Very damp but I was able to fill in the logbook. Thanks!
The cache is not tied anymore and lay down in the ground. The logpapers we're black and wet. I added a new paper for the next. Thanks for the cache.
Drizzling here, but not much traffic so able to stop and grab the cache. Signed and replaced as found. Some very soggy logs but thanks to a strip of some waterproof paper, able to sign.
Easy find but can't sign as everything is full of water. Have photo proof of find though if needed.
We'd planned to get this cache on our way back home, but somehow I hadn't downloaded the details. Easy to find the parking place and in a gap in the traffic I walked up the bank and spotted the cache.
It wasn't tied up as in the description, and when I got the plastic bag out it was so wet that I found a piece of paper, signed it and put it in with the other log.

Easy find, bit full of water. Managed to put a mark on the dryest of paper logs. Needs looking at. TFTC!
Found it on our way home to Waipukurau. Cache is wet inside and log book is too damp to write in.
Nope, couldn’t see them either. But there is a wee track overgrown with blackberry and stuff that might afford you a better look. We didn’t take it. Got the cache easily. TFTC munkis.
Eighth day of a 10 day trip round the bottom half of the North Island for RG1972 and I, and today is travelling Taupo to Napier. Some retail therapy in Taupo to start the day (we found some very good stores), then the drive to the bay with a few cache stops to break the travel. No real goals here - just some caches for the numbers, and all will nudge me toward some longitude/latitude challenge goals. We do get to finally get some caches in Hawkes Bay, so that is the penultimate region ticked off. Just East Cape to go. Relaxed for the rest of the day, then plotted our activities for Saturday. Thanks all COs.

Haha distracted talking and drove past so we did the sensible thing - turned around and went back!! Nice easy find thanks
I will take your word for it that there are some falls here. A quick find in the right place on the side of the road. I went on a road trip following the "Mega that wasn't" in Auckland over Labour weekend. TFTC.
The weather is not nice today so we decided to travel as its not pleasant sight seeing in the rain. This is a good spot to pull over and have a coffee. Cache is secure, clean and dry. Thanks for the cache munkis
We are on our road trip home..stopped here for a break ..wow there's a cache near by ...got to get this one ...thanks munkisall good here
It was nice to stop on the left side.bI am on a North Island Figure of Eight tour. For the first 4 days I spend time in the Bay of Plenty with my husband JDScout in Rotorua. Now I am on part two of the eight loop going over to New Plymouth. This part is being done with my good friends Ethness and Jude_E.
Thanks munkis for creating this hide. It was find 9017 for me.

Travelling from Napier to Taupo today with Nosynel and Ethness. Our goal is to find all the TMGT caches in a big figure 8 across the centre of the North Island. We plan on stopping from time to time to find the odd cache. Quick find here. Tftc.

Nothing fishy here at all .
Jude_E, NosyNel and I are continuing on our figure of 8 tour of the North Island collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time. TFTC.

Finding the cache was straightforward but finding the falls wasn't. I got past a blackberry barrier expecting that would be it. However, I soon reached the twin barriers of more blackberry and a slippery looking track so I decided to give it a miss and head back to the car for some more caching.

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #881.
The logbook is very wet, couldn't write very well on it, needs replacement.
Kleiner Stop auf unserem Weg von Napier nach Taupo. Vielen Dank fürs Legen und Pflegen. Herzliche Grüsse aus der Schweiz.

Easy find when stopped for leg stretch and lunch. Dried out the log in the warm sunshine.
Another good place to pull over to find a cache. Has been great that most of the caches on the Napier to Taupo road have had plenty of space to pull over so they have been safe for our girls to do too. Log is soggy but waterproof paper so all good. TFTC
Off to Taupo for a break. Found the cache and signed. Walked down the track to the river but no joy finding a waterfall. TFTC
On my way to Taupo for a few nights with Little_miss_ssej and G_O_Nan, we pulled in here to find the cache. Not enough time to explore the track unfortunately, but the cache was found and our names added. Thanks for placing this one here, munkis!
Indeed, no waterfall - but at least we took the path down to the river - and most importantly we found the cache and I signed the logbook.
Thanks for hiding!
Thanks for hiding!
Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Took me a while and was well and truly dark by the time I found it. Tricky one. TFTC
But unsure if we would find after a five minute search. Just about to give up until I put my gloves on and dug around and then found instantly. tftc!
