We are now in Dunedin on our trip. It is very beautiful here with many great buildings. We enjoy the surroundings and the great views.Today the weather is fantastic and we decide to take a leisurely drive along the coast of the peninsula. We hope to see some albatross and seals.Of course, the Labcaches Tradis Virtuals and Earthcaches are also searched for and logged. Many thanks to all owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany

This was smaller than I had expected, but eventually I spotted it. The log is full, so I squeezed our initials (GR,WW,ZS) somewhere. The view wasn't too great today, but I can imagine how nice this road is on a sunny day. TFTC!

26-Oct-24
This is day three of my Dunedin Mega trip (and NOT the actual date of the mega as I've been accidentally putting in my logs at the start of the day), the first time I've ever been here before (never mind geocaching). Obviously with such a plethora of caches to find there's going to be plenty I'll skip but I hope to find my targets.Unfortunately logging is going to be generic, but thank you to all the cache owners and event organisers for the things you do.Having stopped to grab the details for the new multi, I popped over for this one.All good here, and thank you to Natalie247 for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #7272 at 26 October 2024 12:49pm

25-Oct-24
We parked at the shops at Portobello and a straight forward sign on the object .. We came down to Dunedin for the great Mega event - which was really good ! - and had previously solved all of the Albatross caches - with a lot of assistance - and had had several days either side , for caching up either side of the harbour and other caches around about . It was a shame that the High cliff road has been subject to the weather patterns and heavy rain and blocked the road . T he Weather either side of the mega was reasonable, but both the saturday and the sunday were rather wet . . sadly. there are so many caches all around this area so even after 5-6 days of caching there are still hundreds of caches to be found . With so many caches some get lost in a bit of a fog . We took nothing and left nothing here . Thank you for this cache .

Day 10 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We arrived in Dunedin yesterday and today we hired bikes to ride the Otago Vine including a ferry ride across the bay.We managed to collect a lot of the puzzles we had prepared for and I think we only had a couple of DNFs. It rained, the sun shone, the wind blew, it was calm - the whole gamut really. Thanks for contributing to the fun Natalie247

Day ten of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. We have at last arrived in Dunedin. We spent today riding the Otago Vine clockwise, collecting caches as we came across them.Stopped at Port Chalmers for lunch then caught the ferry to Portobello.Mostly a nice day except for a bit of rain just out of Portobello (but we soon dried off). Our first cache on this side of the bay.It is indeed a nice view. Thanks, Robmc.

11-Oct-24
Today I walked from Portobello to Company Bay over the afternoon, in the spirit of exercise, Pokemon Go, and Geocaching. I'd planned to walk further, but the benefit of travelling on a bus route is you can call time very easily. After exploring nearby, I found this cache at the start of my walking path. It took a good bit of searching but I eventually put my finger on it. Tftc!

14-Aug-24
Was nearby so checked on this one. Cache all good. 12 spots free in the logbook.

28-Apr-24
When we first pulled up there were two muggles on the seats, but after we had walked to the nearby shop to buy a pie for lunch, the muggles had gone and it was then an easy find. There's also a very cute cat who lives over the road. TFTC

A lovely spot to stop and enjoy the view, and not too far from where I was staying. A great way to start a exploration on my little folding bike. While I was there I saw a large coach heading down the no exit, no turning gravel road by the cache! Hopefully they knew where they were going and would be able to turn around! Thanks for the cache here!

We are staying at a holiday park for a couple of nights as we pass through to the Catlins. This morning was beautiful so after my hubby replaced my brake pads (smoked them in Waimate) I was off along the smooth path to Portobello and back. Here is my turn around spot sat and grabbed the cache and a wee snack before setting off again.

Natst se pak prodrala houtm njak mlad ochrnkyn prody, kter la naplnit pasti proti oposumm jedem, a ta mi poradila, e nco divnho vidla v zemi pln mimo souadnice. No byla to keka. Today I found another old cache from November 2000 in Unity Park and then went to see the Otago peninsula. I enjoyed geocaching and nice views and made it to the end to the colony of albatrosses and blue penguins. However, neither type of animal can be seen here without taking part in an organized tour, and they were sold out and it started to rain. So I went around the lookout points and took a different route over the ridge of the cliffs back to Dunedin. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.

Out and about on day 9 of my South Island Tour and day 3 of "Wellingtonions Gone South: Dunedin Edition" with NZ_B, TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020 and matagouri. The target of this day was cleaning up some of the peninsula. All logs signed as MINT. TFTC

20-Oct-23
A visit to Dunedin by Wellington geocachers NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020, TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Taybeen NZ, and myself. Signing as Team MINT, targeting old caches, Wherigos, and whatever else we can find.We stopped at Portobello for a lunch-break. This cache was close by, so a natural target after coffee. An easy find. Tftc!

20-Oct-23
A group of friends have traveled together to Dunedin to collectively target a whole bunch of caches, primarily because of their value in terms of Jasmer Grid filling, or for certain Challenge Caches that we have elected to try to achieve.M.M.I.N.T.T are Mr-Mcgoo, matagouri, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, taybee nz and TwigNZ. Some logs were signed this way, some were signed as M.I.N.T for expediency, and some (mainly Challenge Caches) were signed with individual names.Day 3, and the main focus of our day would be hitting the Otago Peninsula where we hoped to find many of the Albatross Geoart series, especially the Challenge Caches. We had decided to take a break over a coffee and cake (or cheese rolls or whatever). Now suitably refreshed, we wandered over to this one to make the quick find. The log is full but I just about managed to squeeze the team initials onto the roll.Normally I would have replaced a full log roll, but one of the sacrifices of flying with hand luggage only for a 4 day trip is that I could not bring my cache kit with me on this trip - sorry.Thank you for setting up this series for all to find.

20-Oct-23
Found today on our tour around the Peninsula.Day 3 of The Wellingtonians are in Dunedin tour with TwigNZ, Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020 and matagouri, as well as TaybeeNZ who decided to have a few days of his South Island tour with us. We are targeting specific caches -oldies, wherigos (thanks to the Seagnoids new caches on the Wainuiomata Hill road in Lower Hutt), a certain jet and hopefully a certain bird. Of course, there will be days of laughter, no doubt at my expense During our time here, all found caches were signed as MINT, regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 5 of us hadn't found it previously, or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Natalie247.

20-Oct-23
Day 3 of our Dunedin Invasion with six welly cachers. We have lots of plans and caches to find - probably to many - but with many of the very targeted oldies now done, day 3 can be a bit more play. Today is the peninsula. Stopped for coffee and cake and strolled over for this one. All logs signed as MINT.

Needs maintenance- log is full. Sorry I didn't have any of that size log paper with me.

07-Aug-23
What a strange structure. Seems a bit of overkill for a nice restful view? This desperately needs a new log- I had to write in the tiny gap between two other entries, so is barely legible and there isn't any more space. Found with Debsnz. Thanks Natalie.

spent 6 great weeks in New Zealand with my ?? The start was a bit bumpy (Cyclone Gabrielle) but then it got better and better. We travelled to both islands and discovered a lot. We photographed and filmed many beautiful things, but most of it stayed in our hearts.Almost everywhere we stopped, a cache was already waiting for us. Most of the caches are well maintained and easy to find. With mostly very nice Cool weather, we saw a lot of this impressive island. In many places, caches were waiting for us, which were sometimes easy and sometimes difficult to find. This cache was also included and was successfully signedWe puzzled a lot in advance and the tours ?? were well prepared WinkSo this box was also well found.now I have another Smile on my personal cache card.many thanks to [^] **Natalie247** [^] for the effort and the cache and greetings from Germany ????
