Find#2813Some Hunter geocachers and myself have talked for a long time about coming to Kempsey to complete the slim dusty series. We achieved this goal and also completed the Tamban Trail, the fruit and nut series and now the golfing series in town. Todays goal was to get as many in Kempsey as we could. Log and cache in good condition Signed and returned as found TFTC

Well, this was interesting today we set out for the third time to check this cache mainly because we couldn't find it although others did. Finally, after 20 minutes we located the little sucker and replaced the broken and dilapidated cache with a brand-new, High tech steam train

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying in Kempsey only 2 nights, today was planned around finishing the Monopoly series and visiting Smithtown, Gladstone and Crescent Head.Managed to grab a yummy pie and sausage roll at Crusty's bakery in Gladstone. Didnt try the cakes but they also looked yummy. Razz Weather was kind to us today. [^]TFTC ozglory Cool

No luck here today. Checked a couple of locations I felt were likely, but also didn't get too adventurous as the residents directly across from GZ were busy packing a vehicle for a trip!

Had some difficulty getting to it but got there eventually

It was only after Mrs SKI got a bit adventurous that this cache was found. Picking up a few from the series we missed on our last visit.

After spending a day locked up in the caravan near Newcastle we made the break north to Kempsey in an attempt to get away from the weather. That worked for the day we spent traveling, and the rest of the day once we had arrived, but now the rain is steady and the ground very wet.
We managed to get out and do some caching yesterday with a bonus being catching up with our good friends Ozglory. When we went to one cache we just knew it had to be their place even though we thought they had moved elsewhere. Some more caching today before it just got too wet!
A good variety of caches including Adventure Labs, a Wherigo, Earthcache and numerous traditionals.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ozglory.

Now that we have completed a round of golf, played in an NRL grand final we are continuing with a long game of Monopoly, that we started in June. We have now obtained ownership of several properties and hence clues to complete the game, still many more properties to go though.
Thanks for the hide ozglory.

28-Dec-19
After the nearby Event I thought I would a local cache or two before heading back to Tinonee. Stepped up to a likely hide, and then widened the search to about 3m south of GZ, and saw something a bit suspicious, and sure enough, it was the micro cache holder.
Had a blank sheet to sign, so it was nice to see that it had been recently replaced!
Thanks OzGlory

On a slow road trip to the Geomuster at Morisset next weekend. Staying at various towns along the way and collecting many smilies on the way.
Today we are caching around Kempsey while the weather is favourable.
We had to make a second visit here today because the first time there was a working group having their break close by. Second visit we had a person in a car close by so we went for a walk around the station and on returning they had left. At GZ we found a very interesting container. Thanks.

26-Mar-18
Staying in the Kempsey area for 2 days before heading south towards Morriset. A nice day today to go caching after all the rain they have had in the last week.
Visited firstly in the morning and located cache, however there were workers nearby sitting in their truck and looks like they were having a smoko. Decided to come back later to sign the log.
Give a FP for the design of this themed cache. TFTC

29-Jan-18
new cache holder in place till we can repair the old one,

27-Jan-18
Cache is still here and usable, unfortunately, the cache holder looks like it was hit by an earthquake. We will replace asap and take home for repairs. Please just be gentle with it till we get it done.

15-Jan-18
Difficulty ratings are only a guide and this was a great example.
The cache up the road by the same CO with a D of 3.5 only took me a minute or so to find, while this cache took me about 5-10! Doesn't help that it was dark by now though!

I kept on assuming the wrong elevation of the cache which made it hard to find, and I checked multiple places before finding it on my 3rd look at that object.

I can imagine it would stick out like a sore thumb in daylight however!

TFTC Smile

Today we travelled to Kempsey to find a few caches and complete the Monopoly series and the golf trail.
This was our 35th for the day, after a short search we found had cache in hand, very nicely camouflaged. However, it is slightly damaged and needs some repairs.
Thanks for the cache

We arrived at GZ only to find they were celebrating 100 years of rail in the Kempsey area. There was a market, and vintage cars and people dressed up everywhere. Somehow we managed to get to GZ without being noticed. Quick grab, sign and we're out of here! Great camo Ozglory! TFTC

On an all-night geocaching adventure with MV on his birthday from Newcastle to South West Rocks seeking some FTFs and high D:T combos. We left Newcastle at 5:30pm and arrived back at 12 noon the next day. 42? caches, targeting D2:T2 and higher. Steady drizzle, dark, no sleep, higher terrain = fun Smile

We were given the stink eye by a council worker while we searched for this. He parked his ute and idled until I returned to my vehicle. I think he thought I was there to get up to no good, but I suspect I probably convinced him I was having a wee behind the bushes (I wasn't) and not stealing the signs. Smile TNLN TFTC

Reperio at 0415. Found in the company the_garbageman!

Well what started as an innocent look at a few puzzles in preparation for the upcoming HAVOC Incarceration camping event, soon turned into an impromptu all night caching run when we managed to solve all the puzzles.

As we pulled up to find this one, we thought this would be a simple park and grab, but a council worker soon put a stop to that. He sat and watched us for a couple of minutes before moving on, and with cache in hand, we waited until the coast was clear to replace it.

Hi there ozglory,

RE: Your cache **"MK- (Railroad Station)"**

We found the camo quite empty today. Searching around, we found a partially squashed tube on the ground - also empty. The log sheet and any contents have disappeared. Sad

We thought we would pick up just some of the Monopoly Kempsy series today. This was found without any problem even though travelling muggles were arriving to catch the XPT travelling north.
